Das Handy ist einfach zu bedienen und die Menüs erklären sich von selbst.
Für Menschen die vorher ein Sony Ericson hatten ist es besonders einfach.

Enjoyable no-nonsense phone
A no-nonsense little phone which does all that it needs to do. It feels nice to hold as the red casing is slightly matt and tactile.
The battery life is good as it doesn't waste energy on frivolities. So, excellent as an emergency phone to drop in your bag when you're off somewhere outdoors.
It's quad band, so can go pretty much anywhere in the world.
The volume can be set to be loud and the speaker-phone is clear and crisp, so good for outdoors.
I have tried using the downloadable Samsung software to manage the content on this phone from my computer. This works for phone numbers but not for music. It is as though this model is not fully supported.
This phone has the long flat Samsung connector, so my existing round-pin chargers don't fit it. I should have thought of this.

This phone is brilliant! I'm a Gardner and I needed a phone that would tolerate the weather and conditions that go with the job. This one does it all. I use the FM radio all day everyday and it ever lets me down and the reception is amazing. At the end of the day when I'm washing my hands if the phone got a it mucky through the day it gets a wash to.
I have. Had the phone a good few years now and recently to my amazement it showed signs of damp on the inside and died on me. I was gutted!! But never fear 4 days later after submerging it in the rice bin then putting it on the radiator it sprang back into life with no apparent problems.
If this phone ever died permanently I would definitely purchase another.
If I've found one fault it is the little flap that covers the earphone connection. It is connect with a piece of rubber that is far to flimsy. My cover disappeared many moons ago but it had no effect on the connection or the phone. What more can I say,it may not be the trendiest little phone but it must be the toughest by far!

Well done samsung.
l will give this phone tops as l work out doors and have seen of two phones in the last three years and this one feels right is solid and l love the the light its easy to turn on and of l did have to read the manual properly but within a day or so l was away and when l first read the info l new this was what l had been waiting for in a phone l do look after my phones but up untill now they just did not seem man enough but this one certainly is and l am very pleased with it,even though l am 65 yrs old l am very active and where l go my phone goes to even when l go tree felling etc,would not be without it now and would highly suggest to any one looking for dependable strong and reliable phone and who is all ways on the move to by this one,
This phone makes you think but when you have got used to its features and all its capable of its then you really appreciate just how good it is.carry on the good work samsung/and thanks,mike.

Reliable and trusted
Bought this to replace my B2710 (which hasn't really broken but the volume control cover had come off plus i lost the earphones so I used that as an excuse to buy a new phone) which I had for probably 4 or 5 years and was probably the longest I had ever had a phone and it still works and will be kept in the spares draw. Seeing as I was so happy with the b2710 I decided to go for a similar phone and the b2100 fitted the bill. Its slightly smaller than my old phone but has all the benefits such as a being robust, has a handy torch (invaluable), a handy camera, fm radio with earphones (good sound quality) and has a good battery life. This phones graphics on screen are a bit basic but they make it easy to use without overcomplicating things. The only downside I can think of with this one is that because it is a bit smaller the buttons especially the cursor buttons are a bit small and fiddly so if you have big fingers you could have problems. Hopefully this phone will give me a good number of years service as well. :)

Superdichtes Handy - nein danke
Ich habe das Handy heute im Media-Markt gekauft. Wollte nicht zu viel Geld ausgeben für ein Handy und da schien es mir ideal zu sein, weil es das zu tun versprach, wozu ich ein Handy brauche: Telefonieren und sonst nichts.
Problem: einmal geschlossen und mit Sim-Card versehen, kriegt man es faktisch nicht mehr auf. Dafür die Meldung: Sim-Card einsetzen! Also nein.
Ich könnte es jetzt schon wegwerfen. Bloß leider ist meine Sim-Card drinnen.
Bin gespannt, was mir der Mann vom Mediamarkt sagt.
Fazit: VORSICHT. Könnte großer Schrott sein.

Sturdy!
I bought this to take with me to go overlanding through Africa for 3 months. It has had some VERY hard wear out there and even back in the UK I am not the daintiest of people with it.
It is working great for me, has a very long stand-by time and apart from a few minor scratches on the screen looks like new -after almost a year's use.
I had to get used to it after having had a sleek and smart Nokia for some years, but have now refused an upgrade from my mobile contract provider as I am doing fine with this little machine.
I use it primarily for texting and calling and the odd photograph - but it does have all the other features you may expect it to have (but which I have no desire to use on my phone as I can do it all on my laptop and when I am out and about I don't have time to check emails, go on FB or do all the other stuff it offers). Worked great in Africa - receiving calls even in rural Ethiopia!

Samsung B2100 Solid Extreme SIM Free Mobile Phone
The phone has a nice feel and seems strong and it also has a decent weight to it and the buttons are easy for large fingers.Just a basic phone which was what I wanted.
Things that let the phone down are,
1.It goes to the web very easily and it is easy to press the button by mistake
2.The torch is hard to switch on and off... at times I thought it is not working.
3.when carried in my trouser pocket it can and does with irritating regularity turn itself on and has been known to ring someone up, and to try to connect to the 'web'. this can be costly and also means that it does not take incoming calls whilst it is in that mode.
4. I think it does not have as good capabilities to pick up signal as my old 'Nokia and overall its ability to pick up signal is an issue
5.you only have to press one button to switch it on, most phones you have to press two buttons the one button system could be changed to the two button system which should cure the switching itself on problem.
I would not buy it again and it has crossed my mind to return it for the torch and the switching itself on

Finger weg!
1) Der Akkudeckel liess sich erst nach vielen Versuchen öffnen. 2) Als die Sim Karte endlich drin war, kam der Hinweis die Simkarte einzulegen! Dann wieder ein langer Versuch den Deckel aufzubekommen. Jetzt schicke ich das Ding zurück und mache einen Bogen um Samsung Produkte. Auch für ein Handy dieser Preisklasse eine Zumutung.

Tough and very good battery life
I've had this phone since 2010 and use it as a spare when out and about in the wilds of the world - well mainly the hilly or very wet bits of the UK. It is very tough and has withstood a lot of abuse. The battery will last for almost a week with moderate use. The only downside is when used indoors, the recipient of the call sometimes has problems hearing me. However, when used outside in windy conditions, the noise cancelling feature works very well. It only has very basic features compared to a smartphone, but when I'm outdoors in the wind and the rain, all I need is to make the occasional call or send a simple text. HIghly recommended.

update to my review. i bought this item 5 months ago and it recently became faulty the mike broke.
i spoke to amazon customer services and they replaced the phone within 18 hours of my call
free no quibble no problems no issues. my old phone was to be collected free as well

the torch surprisingly very useful
it seems rugged
disappointment the predictive text is very poor and hard to use i always used it in the passed but now touch text instead
the auto lock keys good for the most but can be a pain as u have to unlock the phone to receive a text and sometimes when looking at a message it will lock and go off in middle of reading

A me-proof phone, hoorah!
I love this little guy! I'm a landscape gardener and my last phone died whilst i foolishly attempted to use it in a downpour... I looked at several 'work phones' and was all set to go with the JCB Tough Phone but found this bad boy at the last minute and figured it would be worth a punt given it's price.
Brilliant move me!
This phone is about as bullet proof as you can get. It's already been bounced on the road, it's been covered in mud and it got horribly soaked, as did i, within hours of it coming out of the box. It laughs in the face of danger, it's a superphone!
It's not going to win you any cool points in the pub *bites fist* but it's going to earn loads of man-points when your fellow blokes see you sporting it at B&Q (even if you're a chick, you'll still earn man points)
This phone is the bacon sandwich of phones, it's great, it's robust and it's hard-wearing.

Samsung B2100 Solid extreme
This phone was purchased for my active husband. Over the last four years He has tried and rapidly broken a number of mobile phones on the market ranging from Clam shell, slider to touch screen. His phones so far have never meet with his total approval. However I have to say that it was love at first sight for him with this one. He feels that it looks like a "blokes" phone. It has all the features that he requires without making him look like a techno geek. He works in a male environment and is quite happy to take phone out of pocket. We have a friend who recommended this phone as he has had his for 4 years and his has been to war zones, dropped from heights and survived a dunking in the sea! It is chunky and robust. It would spoil the line of fine italian tailioring but you have to be clear about where and what you are going to be doing when using it!

puppy proof!
After killing two phones due to getting them wet, I went for the Samsung B2100. I love it. It is fully waterproof (I have immersed it in a pint of beer to check). I have dropped it on concrete many times, left it out in the rain, nothing kills it. I also left it on the coffee table within reach of our young (bull)dog. She loves it as the rubber cover is great to chew on... Dog had two serious attemps. Result: the phone isn't fully waterproof any more now, and the flashlight has been removed. But it still works fine! Try that with your smartphone. The only reason why I am replacing it now, is that I miss the flashlight. I am definately going for another Samsung solid extreme. I think the dog has grown up enough to stay away from my phone. Only downsides to this phone: it is rather chunky, the camera isn't great, and has some texting flaws. I still love it though!

this is one of the best phones ive ever come across, if you are in the building trade and your going to drop your phone from high hights or in a bucket of water or cover it and paint and cement and it needs a good wash, then go ahead and wash it, it still works great and with extremely good reception!

Truly robust
This is my second purchase of a B2100 and I can absolutely warrant that these little phones are tough as old boots! I am a landscaper and my first B2100 has lived outside for three years in rain snow and occasional sunshine and has never missed a beat. Battery life is superb and this phone has bounced a hundred times with no ill effect. The newly arrived 'phone was purchased because the original one was just beginning to lose brightness on the screen and the keypad around the multi function button was splitting, though it all still worked fine. The new 'phone has a vastly improved user interface, brighter screen and I am told that calls are clearer. Providing this 'phone is as tough as its older brother then I will be very pleased. If you are looking for a tough 'phone and don't want to spend a fortune then look no further.

Rugged all-weather no-frills phone
In the past 20 years, I have dropped phones on the pavement, dropped them into the loo, sat on them when they were in my back trouser pocket and have had two saturated to death in my bike-jacket pocket in the course of long motorcycle journeys through torrential Welsh rain. Expensive accidents, which always turn out not to be covered by one's phone insurance when one tries to make a claim! I'm reasonably certain that this particular phone will be the answer to these problems and will still offer the basic services required by a careless lout like me - enable me to phone the RAC if I break down with swamped electrics! This phone is tough - it bounces when you drop it, and the back locks down to keep the gubbins waterproof. Excellent tool for people who don't wear business suits or walk around with handbags!

Great Phone
Was looking for a Quad Band phone for use by my Daughter on University field trips. Latest trip is to Grand Canyon, Death Valley, etc so has heat and loads of dust / sand to contend with. Later she could be going to New Zealand into snow covered areas and river valleys. A rugged waterproof / dust proof phone was essential. Also it is a simple to use phone and very low cost. Samsung have produced a good quality / good value phone here for these environments. Phone was delivered within 4 days of ordering and the free sim card (special offer at the time of ordering) arrived seperately on the same day.
