Better than the S6
The S5 is better than the S6 in my, and others, opinions. The S6 has gone down the Apple way with a battery you can't change, and it does not last as long, and you can't add more memory, what is Samsung doing!! If you have the S5 I wouldn't upgrade to the S6, wait for the S7 and see how that turns out. you of course may think differently.

Samsung Galaxy S5
This phone is a great device. First time I've owned a Samsung and love it already. Smart features and cool tricks are amazing on this phone. In terms of screen size and quality it's perfect, nice size for texting and operating with one hand. The super AMOLED screen I think is the best on the market at the moment, this works well with the 16MP camera where pictures and videos look even crisper.

Very good phone and seller
It's a very good phone, running very smooth and quick. Even though it meant to be only slightly bigger than S4, it's not a pocket sized phone (at least for female's pocket!). It was a good buy.
I wasn't sure whether to buy the phone from a high street shop. But I'm glad I have ordered it from this seller as it's much cheaper than a high street shop and the product is the same.

It is a smartphone. It works well and it is light with a good battery life. What is more it is not an A***e product. What could be better at half the price?

Great phone but battery could be better
Great phone but the battery could be better. Although I have it on power save mode all the time I have to charge it twice a day. Other than that it's fast, the camera is great and it works well.

Good phone but problems
I bought two if these phones. Strangely they came in different packaging and had different problems with setup and configuration on each. I wonder if these were international versions being passed on to the UK market? I've of them was pre-set in the Chinese language set..

WARNING! Any repairs required and you have to airmail product to Luxembourg!!!
Further to my original review in May 2015 (below), the phone became dysfunctional in January 2016. Still under guarantee so contacted the supplier. Very prompt response which included returns label, However, the returns address is Luxembourg!!! Not at all happy about having to incur airmail costs in excess of £49.00 to have the fault investigated. I have informed the supplier of my discontent as nowhere in the product description is this mentioned!!
May 2015 - So far, so good. Has met all expectations to date. Fingers crossed it'll stay that way. Certainly miles better than my previous Nokia!

Best phone I've owned
Best phone I've ever owned - having installed CM 12.1 the day I got it, this beats any other phone I've ever had before. The water/dust resistance element is a great security to have, and the phone is SNAPPY with INCREDIBLY GOOD battery life 5-6 hours screen on time during a full day's use is easily achieved. If you ever need more battery life than that it's easy and cheap to buy and use the spare battery kit which is also available from sellers on Amazon.

Excellent phone but be careful where you buy it from
The phone itself is excellent, though the USB flap can be a bit awkward if you have a case on.
However, I had to send mine back for a full refund because I was sent a phone with Hong Kong baseband firmware (G900FZHUANI2). I have read that this may mean it doesn't have a valid UK warranty.
To check your phone: "Settings" > "About device" > "Baseband version". You could also try a factory reset - although mine was in English when I took it out of the box, a factory reset defaulted it back to Chinese. A bit suspicious.
If you're not sure if yours is right, search online or ask on the XDA Developers Forum.

A serious contender
Great phone, in my opinion this is better than the later versions as it is water proof down to around 1 metre, takes a 128gb memory card to boost storage and you can change the battery in just a few seconds if you are not near an outlet when you need a recharge. Great performance at a great price.

A joy to own!
I'd formerly bought a Wileyfox storm but got so tired of the rubbish battery life and the occasional freeze that enough is enough. Nothing beats a branded phone, with Removable battery and other accessories. So forked or for this beauty and am not disappointed! In went a make micro sd card. Super battery life, lovely colours, nice big screen. Need I say more! My S2 has done a super job for ages but it's time to retire.

Some problems after purchasing the EU bundle from EE but very happy with the phone itself. Taking some time to get used to the enhancements in the latest Android there is so much to learn, but will get there.

This Samsung Galaxy S5 is a great phone at a very good price. I had never had anything from Market Deal before but the item being “fulfilled by Amazon”, gave me the confidence to buy. Everything about the phone has impressed me, thank you Market Deal. I have only had it a couple of days and have spent most of the time setting up the phone and downloading apps and data. I am very pleased with my purchase and it’s impressive capabilities.

Its all good
I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a phone from Amazon especially after reading previous comments of the wrong phone being sent to other customers or the phone being blocked when it arrived.
However it arrived on time and in perfect condition. I have had it for a few days and everything is in perfect working condition. I upgraded from the s4 and the new s5 has a lot of cool features; a personal favorite being the fingerprint recognition and the battery life is better too.

Esta bien, peeeero...
Creo que lo primero a destacar son los aspectos positivos; la Tablet tiene un diseño compacto y estético, las cámaras no son nada del otro mundo pero cumplen con su función tratándose de una Tablet, sobre todo para videoconferencias se puede considerar una calidad de imagen aceptable. La resolución de pantalla también está muy bien, cosa que destaca es el audio envolvente, contando con dos bocinas de cada lado es un dispositivo que se escucha bastante bien. La batería es duradera y cuenta con la posibilidad de tener múltiples ventanas abiertas al mismo tiempo.
Para tareas como lectura y reproducción de películas he encontrado éste modelo bastante adecuado, para juegos es otra historia, no es recomendable para aquellos "gamers" de corazón, pues funcionará con las aplicaciones de entretenimiento más básicas.
Dentro del rango de funciones creo que tiene un buen desempeño, nunca se ha trabado o alentado el sistema, ni he percibido calentamiento o cualquier otro detalle, y cuenta con pequeñas funciones interesantes como lo es llamar por teléfono a pesar de no contar con chip (la Tablet se conecta a tu celular y de ahí se hace la llamada), o la posibilidad de operar otros electrodomésticos inteligentes desde casa desde una aplicación predeterminada por Samsung. Además de contar con el último SO de Android. Conectividad WI-FI y bluetooth ininterrumpida y de calidad. No me ha tocado que se cierren aplicaciones solas o errores de sistema por el estilo.
Los grandes peros que encuentro en este dispositivo son que a su favor y en contra el hecho de ser tan compacta le hace frágil, hay opciones que no son tan fáciles de operar dado el sistema. Y el almacenamiento limita bastante si usted es de correr muchas aplicaciones. Recomendaría en dicho caso que usted considere un almacenamiento mínimo de 64GB.
Otro "pero" importante es que el modelo SM-T220 no cuenta con funcionabilidad MHL o para conexión a pantalla por HDMI, se supone que los equipos Samsung cuentan con una aplicación predeterminada (Samsung Dex) para esta conexión, pero al menos por el momento este dispositivo no la incluye ni se puede instalar por otro medio, al intentar conectarla por cable C-HDMI no envía señal de ningún modo por lo que el único método de conexión es inalámbrico, una desventaja si no cuentas con televisores o pantallas Smart o afines.
Esto último resultó bastante decepcionante ya que son muchos los modelos que si disponen de este atributo, celulares o tablets de lo más básicas desde las más antiguas a las mas nuevas incluyen esta funcionalidad MHL. No quiero ni preguntarme si es posible conectar auriculares a éste puerto para este modelo ya que el puerto C es el único que incluye.
Menciónese también, la caja no incluye funda ni mica únicamente Tablet con cargador como se especifica en la descripción.
En conclusión, por un precio accesible se brinda una calidad decente con un par de "inconvenientes" según lo que se planee hacer con ella. Ésta Tablet es idónea como una herramienta básica de trabajo, o para entretenimiento básico. La recomiendo para compradores que busquen algo simple, no indispensable ni de uso rudo o extremo. 8/10

So far so good
Good phone overall. I've had this a year now and I've had no issues with it. It sometimes switches off when in my pocket around once a month - I think this may be due to a loose battery connection - but hey, at least I save power!
It automatically updated to Android lollipop a few months ago too - but can't seem to tell much difference between that and the last (KitKat) except for a few nice icons etc.

se la compre a mi hijo de 6 años, le puse un protector de esos de goma que son para niños y tiene 1 año dándole durisimo, es una joya, funcionando al 100, por ahí leí un comentario que se le hacia frágil, para mi todo lo contrario, es de guerra la tableta, con una protección decente lleva un año soportando todo el maltrato que le podrían dar, suena bastante fuerte, incluso tengo que pedirle a mi hijo que le baje el volumen para que me deje escuchar a mi la tele o lo que este viendo.

In the time I have had this phone I have never had any issues with it. I have just ordered a second one for a familly memeber who was need a new [sim free] phone and a friend is thinking about getting one as well due to my opinions of it.

Oh dear, I'm a Samsung boy
Very impressed with this phone. Fast and responsive. Excellent camera. Beautiful OLED screen. Removeable battery and SD card (unlike the S6). And now very good value for money. Wish I hadn't put up with my laggy over heating battery munching Sony for a whole year.
Only minor drawback is the slightly flakey fingerprint recognition which requires a very steady accurate swipe with a clean dry finger. I found thumbs are better than fingers.

Been with apple for many years
But thought I would give samsung a try so bought the s5 for myself and my wife and we both love the phones the apps are great and the speed of the s5 in 10 out of 10 a great all round phone we will not be going back to apple
we have lots more freedom with the s5

Great phone.
I won't write a huge review as they can be found all over the Internet. But.. I have always ways like the Galaxy S range and this one does not disappoint. Amazing screen and lightning fast performance.
As with all Samsung phones I have to admit they are full of bloatware but what can you do.
Definitely in the top 3 phones at the moment along side the M8 and the iPhone 6 but at a reasonable price.
