It's very good but heavy.

Top notch in most ways but quite heavy. The battery life, while good, isn't enough to make me forget the weight of the thing. I'm not a Samsung phone fan (and there's a number of preloaded apps for people with Samsung phones) but the preloaded internet app is a good version of Chrome and integrates all your saved stuff with gmail account sign in. Not too many trial software items or unwanted background processes. It's snappy but still reloads an app each time you switch tabs. I got it to work with other devices and that has been very good. Lots of refinement on things like the onscreen keyboard so that most everything you need is there (and thankfully not full of emojis). Wifi reception is normal, nothing special.
So while I really like it, often enough I find myself deciding whether I want to grab it or use my phone to look something up because of the almost laptop weight. Did I say the screen is great?

Very short life span...

This tablet, purchased for school, lasted exactly one year. One evening, it just did not turn on. It is gone...fried, expired. I had an IT friend try to troubleshoot possible issues, with no resolve. Needless to say, I am very disappointed and slightly annoyed. For the price of this device, I would have liked to have gotten a BIT more than a year out of it. Be wary... if you do not have $150 to throw away, this may not be the tablet for you. Before it decided to toss away its existence, it was a handy little device. Great screen, good battery...a tool good for text books and research, however, the frustration of its demise...and spending $199, when I bought it, is too much to try again.

It’s amazing, an answer to my tablet woes!

This wonderful little tablet is PERFECT for streaming videos & quickly editing documents. I browsed quicjky have all of my streaming channels accessible to ALL formats. To be honest, it allows Netflix, Hulu, Prime video, Peacock, etc., all one one device. (You’d be amazed at how many lock one or two apps out.)

I’ve had a terrible time getting Netflix on a tablet! I’ve bought 2 tablets now, and this is a keeper. The other “phablet” will be returned ASAP. No permissions for Microsoft, except Office 365 LIVE and I hate editing docs in Microsoft Edge. But with this Samsung, it’s like there have never been any problems before. It makes me that happy

It’s sleek design leaves you holding a super slim, super powerful, super fast ticket to entertainment or work. It brags a display that has the narrowest margins, allowing almost full-tablet viewing. Picture is brilliant & clear. It charged with a USB type. It took about 30mins to reach a full charge. Crazy fast!

The 2020 A7 less than 1 pound so can be carried around all day, and it also fits well in a drawer. Okay, okay, i can slide it into my purse & can’t tell it’s even there

You won’t be disappointed. And it was only $2 more than the 2019 A7! I had no idea this was a brand new product!

Very nice tablet

I had an 8" Samsung that was getting a little old and tired, but I never had a real issue with it. I bought this 10" one and it is great. It is fast, has longer battery life, brighter screen and being able to get 64g is a super plus. Samsung has a great transfer process for all your apps and stuff. The instructions are confusing, but it works really well. Note: If you are upgrading from an older tablet, keep the old one to use for other stuff around the house. After the new one is up and running, reset the old one and only put the few apps that you might need on in it and use it for home cameras, alarm and automation. I have my old tablet mounted on the wall at eye level in the garage and permanently powered. I can check cameras, listen to music/news and watch how-to videos for projects. I can even watch sports on it via my Dish Anywhere service. It is also connected via BT to my garage stereo.

For a man

This tablet is the best tablet for my husband who was in the military retired and had never had a tablet before. Got a job as a construction manager so he needed something more than just his phone and this man is so rough on stuff an drops everything and it has taken a beating.. granted I did get a cover but this tablet is the best one ever.
If I would have got him an Apple even with a case it would no longer be in service.. love love this tablet I give it 10 stars ⭐️

Amazing tablet but useless for musicians who want to use this to record via OTG USB devices

This is a great tablet. I have the 2021 version that I bought from this very ad. This would be perfect except for one huge unadvertised flaw that makes this completely and totally useless to me. The problem is that Samsung has removed the charging circuit that allows you to use an OTG dongle to use an external USB device while charging a tablet. This is a problem for me because the only reason I bought this tablet was because I'm a musician who wanted to use it for the brain of a portable recording studio setup. For example if I want to use my midi keyboard to play piano sounds in my recording software I can plug it into the OTG USB dongle and it'll work fine unless I plug power into the dongle, and then IT will no longer receive data and it will only Power the tablet. So what this means is any devices you have plugged in Via the OTG connection will be disabled as soon as you plug in the power to the OTG connector. This is a huge bummer for me because I love this tablet and I think it's way better then any iPad that's even remotely in the same price range. Since Samsung is obviously not going to advertise this I ended up spending about $250 in accessories for this thing to accommodate the portable recording setup I thought I was going to use this for. I hope I didn't lose the Box because I need to return this now. Awesome tablet but steer clear if you are a musician who uses external USB devices that you want to connect to this tablet.

Батарея работает не так долго, как обычно, но за то время, что я пользуюсь ею каждый день, батарея стала настоящим чемпионом! Appreciate bigger screen

I was reluctant to pay for a larger screen, however I am glad I did and recommend it. I watch shows on the tablet primarily. Glad you not be using my phone for that. I believe Samsung is an excellent product line. Have had their phones on the past. Paying more money for a tablet ($250.00) is better than buying a less expensive ($50.00 & $100.00) my previous 2 tablets. They were not worth the money. Slow. Unreliable touch screen. This was several years ago so maybe that has changed. Fast Wi-Fi connection (better than my new Lebanon laptop). Get a case for it. Holds the tablet up for viewing and if course protection. Battery life seems good. I don't use it forore than an hour at night, but didnt turn it off for 3 days and still had a decent charge on the battery. I will buy another one when needed.

Fantastic tablet... no need to root it.

My Google Nexus 10 (9 years old) finally died and it was struggling to keep up anyways so I bough this as a replacement. Buy this if you want to surf the web and stream content from your favorite provider. If you are a hardcore gamer this is not for you as you will need more horse power. I don't play games at all on it as that's what my xbox is for. My old Nexus 10 was rooted so figured I might do that with this, but after getting it and setting it up I decided not to as you void the warranty. Samsung has not put very much crap on it you can't either hide or uninstall which is a good thing. Samsung's "android experience" on this tablet is really good compared to stock android. Overall you can't beat this for the price. If you get lucky, like me sometimes they offer $50 off of the 64gb model which makes it even more of a deal.

Nice Features and Customization

Ordered an Amazon Fire HD tablet...nope. Too proprietary so, this was my replacement. Works perfectly and I can download any app without a third party approval. Quality is great and so easy to use. Powerful little tablet, I would recommend.

Pleasantly surprised

Bought this because my phone was failing and just needed something to do day to day tasks, watch videos, mobile game/time killers. I ended up liking it much more than I thought I would, as did my gf.
-screenquality is nice and sharp, can get very bright (especially if you keep your house darker).
-battery life is great. I get over a day on a full charge, even with light gaming.
-build quality is top notch, no rattles or light bleed. No dead pixels. Touchscreen is sensitive and attentive to the touch. Processor feels snappy for what it is, not held back by the ram.

Nothing really negative to say except there are some apps you cannot remove but can disable and it is quite heavy with a good solid case on it. All-in-all, great budget tablet for anything from emails to videos to light gaming or streaming content. I'm a big fan so far.

Battery Swells

This tablet was purchased for my at the time 85 yr old Mother to play games on. Within a year and a half we noticed the tablet beginning to separate. I thought perhaps she dropped it. When she insists she has not. Shortly thereafter, the separation became worse where almost the entire screen was outside of the protective case. When I took it somewhere for repair, I was told the battery was very swollen and it is very dangerous! I have been to 2 repair places and neither of them will touch it.

Excellent product - bought it used, but it working well - minor cosmetic scratches on the back.

I was a bit skeptical when I ordered this used, but it is working smoothly and condition is really good. I only found some minor cosmetic scratches on the backside, and battery life seems reasonable, and nothing seems broken.

I am happy with the purchase at this point.

My First Tablet

I bought this tablet to watch programs while on the treadmill. I like everything about it, apart from the default setting for automatic brightness, which sets the screen too dim, but it can be overridden to be brighter and will still adjust the brightness based on the amount of ambient light.

The metal casing is slippery, so I recommended adding a case so you don't drop the tablet, which I nearly did a few times the first day I used the tablet.

It is great to have a pc style page look and system style (windows) in a small portable device. It is just like being on my PC. The speed is there, and it was very easy to connect to my phone as the wi-fi hotspot, for full time coverage away from home

Excellent for movie watching and basic internet surfing

Wasn’t sure this would satisfy my needs based on several reviewers who had issues with being able to use certain streaming services. I bought this to mostly view tv/movies and browse the internet. It’s superb! My previous tablet was an iPad which I purchased 10 years ago. In the beginning it was excellent but it slowly was unable to be updated. This Samsung tablet is $200, a bargain by comparison. The feel is solid, it’s reasonably responsive and the screen and sound are above average. As for streaming service compatibility…it comes with the Netflix app already installed. I easily installed Hulu, Prime, HBO Max, Disney +. Every app I used on my iPad seems to be available at the Google Play store.

After a few days with it I ordered a second for my wife.

Great tablet, easy to use.

I've been thinking about getting a tablet for a while and saw this one come across as a Treasure Truck sale and pulled the trigger. Overall I'm impressed with the build quality and performance of the pad.
The screen is beautiful and works really well. I prefer using swipe gestures for back, etc on Android devices and I seem to have trouble doing that on this tablet sometimes.
My only complaint is the automatic brightness is way off. It seems to lean way too hard towards the dark settings in rooms that are fairly well lit so I turned it off. I'd say it's worth paying full price.

Perfect Retirement Gift For Hubby!

I'm so pleased with this purchase. My husband recently retired from the U.S. Post office after 33 years. He has been using his phone for years to use the internet, etc. He has always said he doesn't need a tablet. But I knew if I got him one as a gift, he'd use and love it. I was right!
This is a fabulous tablet. I purchased the same one a couple of months ago for my mother, so I know this tablet is a winner. It's very user friendly which is great for people who are not tech-savvy. The quality is outstanding, it's lightweight, the camera is fantastic, the audio is great, and on and on. We all love it! Great choice! Absolutely recommend it!

Impressive Tablet.

Perfect size for my hands, always.. Also fit nicely in my Bowflex home gym. It's still very lightweight, though I understand a LITE (8") version is also out. Even with the solid case and solid case w/k backlit keyboard set that I purchased with. The sound quality, depth, and VOLUME are impressive. I use it for streaming my home gym workout videos, movies, live TV/cable, etc I don't need speakers and I haven't seen it have to buffer once yet. ( I am on FiberOptic Gigabit internet, but my old tablet/2in1 still had to buffer constantly.)
Love it so far. The streaming has been great. And its also helped with my work/projects as well. Carrying this tablet somewhere is is much easier than my full laptop bag.

Beautifully engineered and manufactured device.

As an old person, I hate being forced into the addiction of our "japanamatic" culture of the chronic device appendage lifestyle. At this point it really is an appendage of sorts. I leave it in my bed under the covers. All the cultural condemnations aside, the A7 arrived elegantly packaged (hint, hint... it looked like something made by the company named after the fruit that forced Isaac Newton to reflect upon the nature of gravity) AND it certainly wasn't just all glitz and glam of packaging; The A7 works beautifully and has a remarkably fine picture quality. Nevertheless, as a reasonably good touch-typist, I still find the whole touch screen thing to be ridiculously hokey (think AT&T Pavilion 1964). Really, do you think Apollo 13 would have made it if Houston had to code on a touch screen???

Great tablet

I've bought Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 10.4 64GB about half a year ago. I am using it mostly for reading books and playing games when waiting for kids during their activities, occasionally I shoot a photo or short video. Comparing to ipads (used by my kids), the galaxy tab has same good quality and features, but half the price and with android you get lots of free software. I have not had any issues with performance, plenty of memory storage, decent battery. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a tablet.

Good deals for beginners

I've been use Samsung smartphones but never been have any owned Tablet and this A7 is my first tablet. It's a good deal for the beginner and light weight, big screen and four speakers are awesome. I researched some this before buying and I knew this one not good at games and use heavily. I'm using this for mostly watching movies and surfing and SNS, online shoppings, and also seeing the recipes for cooking. I don't have any big issues and I like using this big screen for those things. I loved watch movies with my Note10+5G but I watching the movies with A7 much more. Some heavy games work with this and I like do the game in the big screen too. And the battery has really long life. I don't need charge this often every time.
Use after a month, I have same feels and pros/cons like a others but I still like this tablet and uses more.

Good budget tablet.

Would be a great tablet and would rate 5 stars if Samsung would allow you use the SD card to expand the memory. UNFORTUNATELY IT WILL ONLY ALLOW YOU TO STORE PICTURES AND VIDEOS ON THE CARD! Other than that it's been holding up great for a year of hard use by my 7 year old son and I.

Заряда батареи хватает примерно на 2 дня при легком использовании и на весь день при интенсивном. Я взял планшет в гости к другу, чтобы поиграть в игру, и заметил, что экран изогнут, а сам экран выскакивает из корпуса. Я пытался засунуть его обратно, но он выскакивал снова и снова. Я посмотрел, что может быть причиной этого, и наиболее частой причиной является разбухание аккумулятора. Батареи обычно немного разбухают при зарядке, но это раздувание больше, чем считалось бы безопасным, и рекомендуется заменить батарею, так как существует вероятность ее возгорания. Это хороший планшет, я бы хотел, чтобы он был немного больше по размеру экрана, но я заменю батарею, чтобы быть уверенным, что смогу продолжать им пользоваться. Я надеюсь, что этот киоск в торговом центре сможет мне помочь.

As close to Ipad as Android can be

I have a gaming addiction lol. I have 2 IPads, and 3 android tablets. This Samsung was purchased to replace a Hyundai tablet that literally warped and split. I’ve never had a Samsung tablet. But to say I’m very impressed is an understatement! The graphics are fantastic. The battery life is amazing. It’s extremely fast and responsive. I never thought anything could compare to my IPads. But this absolutely is as good! Maybe better!
