Wow, really.... this item delivered to me was used. It has scratches and dents on it. The box that it was delivered in was old and discolored, even before opening the box I just knew that it was gonna be bad and sure enough it was. Im returning this item... did not use it so I don’t know the quality but I expected better for the price. I’m very disappointed, and this was supposed to be a good brand

Replaced my 10yo steamer. What an upgrade. The screen is worth it!
My old steamer finally died after about 10 years. It was fine, and I would have been fine replacing it with something similar. I decided to do some research and settled on this Rowenta unit that cost 2x what my old one cost. I figured I use the steamer all the time and my last one lasted 10 years. It isn't hard to make up $50-$100 of value over 10 years.
My expectations were much higher because of the price but it completely delivered. My clothes took about half as long to steam as before. I don't know what is actually different but it seems like this does higher quality steam or something. The steam just loosens things out better and quicker than my old unit did.
The best part of this, and the feature really worth paying for IMO, is the screen. It makes is so easy to steam when you have a good support behind your garment. I really doubt I'll ever use an iron again now. It makes it faster and I don't think I could have even gotten my clothes this good with my old steamer.

lasted 15 months
this is the 2nd Rowenta Garment steamer Ive owned. The first one felt more sturdy and lasted 9 years. This particular model felt like an inferior model- the first one was purchased at Bed bath and Beyond but I couldnt find it online. Seems like 15 months is not long enough for a $100 item. It worked well enough while I had it , but use precaution, in fact buy a protective glove made specifically for garment steamers. I got a terrible burn on my hand and wrist one time and right before it broke down it spurt out scalding hot water, a lot of it!...scary! I can honestly say i cannot live without a garment steamer ever again , but will be trying a different brand next time

better and faster options out there...
I purchased this hoping I can do most of my ironing with it. No way I can get our shirts crisp as I like them. It takes me less time with better results to use a normal iron with steam...
It did a good job on some silk blouses. But since for all the rest of my ironing needs is not delivering the right results, I purchased a small (I guess travel..) steamer for those (that actually does a better job than this big one...) and a new steam iron (Rowenta, too, just as my old one) and I will return this steamer. For how big it is, the results are unsatisfying (for me).

I have had two Rowenta irons over the years. Both from the Professional series and both were truly excellent. This one however is not excellent.
Cons:
Feels cheaply made. Squeeze the handle and you’ll feel where the plastic seams meet squish together. Even the gage to increase/decrease steam amount is cheap; it is also removable, likely because it will need replacing.
The steam does not eject nearly as much as their other irons that cost little more.
Color is not as imaged in first photo.
Pros:
Less expensive than bother Rowenta irons (though at an even greater loss of quality).
Works for very basic and infrequent use (but if that’s why you need an iron then but a cheap iron).
Would I recommend or purchase again:
No. Being returned for their Professional iron series instead.

Works fine but built poorly...
The item that I order was a brand new but I found some dirt marks here and there and I couldn't wipe it clean...I think it is permanently stained in the process of making and unfortunately one of them is noticeably big. The built material seems surprisingly poor so overall the item doesn't look so nice despite it's pretty stiff price tag. Besides of cosmetic problems, the machine functions fine. It heats up pretty quickly and the steam is quite steady as well. Although I found it can be quite challenging to control it with a foot since the buttons are pretty small and especially power button needs to be pushed for a couple of seconds to put the machine on and off...and also the garment screen is not attached and roll up and down. You have to attach it when you need it and detach it when you need to fold the machine back to tidy. It feel like Rowenta pulled back a lot of desirable functions from previous models such as "Roll up screen", "Inserted accessory box in the body", and so on to compromise for some other functions witch I don't quite see...I can only assume they are A. Higher power and B. 15 sec shorter waiting time which are not necessarily noticeable...to be totally honest. I think I should have just picked either IS6300 or IS9100...but what is done is done...Well...

Bought this because the iron I have for $25 shuts off too soon and have to shake to get it the steam going constantly, thought this would be different but no it is not. Much the same, sometimes does steam and sometimes doesn't, seems to get stuck in a NO steam setting even though there is plenty of water and steam setting is full on. Hate the fact that there is NO indicator to tell you iron is up to temperature. This thing is junk in my opinion and I will return it and try something else. I don't understand how it can be so difficult to make a simple iron that is reliable with steam production. The iron I have that is 15 years old is simple and works great, I just need another for the sewing room. Too many auto everything that is unreliable makes this iron a fail in everyway.

Have used it only a few times but I really like it so far. I was skeptical and did my homework reading all kinds of reviews. Finally decided for this one because of the hanger and clips. Didn't disappoint. I steam large folklorico skirts that are all cotton and literally yards upon yards of fabric with no issue. LOVE IT! Saves me so much time and effort. Would recommend!

-- It has a good size and weight. Feels very solid.
-- The steam action is great. My "test" shirt never had it so good.
-- The spray and steam buttons are easy to use and seem durable.
Negatives:
-- My huge disappointment is that the space between the handle and dial is pretty thin. Like, to the point that I keep hitting the temperature dial and moving it a bit.
-- It has an initial "smell" when hot. Something like metal mixed with formaldehyde. I hope this goes away.
-- The cord could be a bit longer.
-- The steam action seems "delayed" when the lever is set to anything besides full on.
So, I think this is a good product, but feel as though I'll become increasingly irritated with my hand constantly hitting the temperature dial. If that's the case, I might send it back; life's to short to be angry about a design flaw that makes doing a chore that much harder.
I'll edit my review if the iron keeps performing well or if things like the steam action "break in" at some point.

The words are not what it says online for the iron lower setting for the price I would not pay for it maybe 40 bucks but no less so please pay attention to the Settings but it says 1400 nd it’s only 1100watts

Pressing clothes can hold it away from clothes and steam without touching bu it has stopped working for some reason i've used it several times before it was okay but today nothing paid too much for it not to work was it a refurbise because i don't buy second hand items from no one need to return it send label please Thank you I was told i had to pay five nine five for restock why did you charge me thirteen ten

I don’t like that there’s not a clear on/off switch. But that’s minimal. I love that it’s got a large reserve for the water because I use the steam option often. Iron is heavier, well made piece of equipment. It wouldn’t be good for someone with arthritis. I personally like the weight of it. It’s well crafted and made in Germany.

Best Home Steamer
We did our homework on this one. This is one makes the "best-of" lists and is the best one we've ever owned. My wife is a seamstress and does sewing projects frequently. This Rowenta IS6520 steamer is perfect for her steaming needs - heavy fabrics to delicate tooling, it does it all! We also use it for sanitizing sheets to removing wrinkles. The accessories have been useful and the built in hanger with clips is brilliant. No more holding on to fabric or clothes with one hand and trying to steam with the other! The extra large water tank provides about an hour of steaming use and is very easy to refill.

Delivers as promised. This iron has a well ventilated soleplate that makes steaming and pressing clothes in a hurry easy. The iron is at a higher pricepoint, but the time you save on a daily basis easily outweighs the cost of the product. 9/10.
