Looks good but Performance slow Returned ,
Upon receiving this phone it updated itself to a stable mui version , the phone started to freeze so I hard reset it to make sure everything had gone on right, the camera became slow , screen slow, I had this on the hope of seeing that the Snapdragon processor would be fast, it could have been a faulty handset , hardware or software issues but I returned, phone looked good but did not perform has it should

New kid on the block, Samsung/apple rollover
What an amazing phone for the money, roll over Samsung/apple. This is the new kid on the block.......I read review after review on this brand pronounced shoomi redmi and I played and played and 2 weeks in still discovering features I missed on setup.to say I love it is understatement. The power is amazing 6gb ram and 64gb storage. Runs android 10 but has their own version even better at 12 same thing without all the bloatware filling.ya machine with sponsors apps. Security is tight so many features or nine if ya don't want. The camera is the most amazing piece of kit ever it's the reason I got it 64mp cam 4 cams I mean come on if ya want a battery life to last 5000k bat installed twin SIM and room for expansion SD card. Look if ya want a phone that looks premium, sounds. Premium plays premium without the price tag go for it your money is well spent. If ya want status symbol so ya can pay for a badge that needs upgrading next year at the same extortion price paid this years modal Samsung/apple it's not for you u look like this . More powerful more sexy, more usable and dam right better value for money xamomi redmi is it. If ya want a badge to show ya mates your in the gang spend 5x as much and get less for ya money l, but hey don't matter ya buy the next 1 next year at the same 5x as much I oh e my shoomi redmi I'm Hoooked

Cheap, yes, but some things don't work
This review is for the Redmi Note 9t 5G
I can't give it a better star rating despite its cheap price, because some things just don't work. The UI won't update. Annoyingly, for the last month a notification says that an update is available, but it simply stalls and produces an error message "Can't download. Something went wrong. Wait a minute or two and try again". If you google this phrase, you will see that this is a common problem with this phone.
In the browser, it won't always successfully play an embedded video, with the picture freezing despite the subtitles still appearing.
The majority of widgets on the screen that used to work on my Huawei p20 now don't load.
In fact, it is touch and go whether 3 stars is too generous. I will stick with it because 5G is fast and I have had speeds of 322mbs which is very good.

For me Personally the best phone iv ever had including Samsung and iPhone
Was unsure about this with so many to choose from. I recently cracked my galaxy 9edge screen and wanted another phone to use while I get it fixed. I also wanted a better camera which this phone has! I have to say I absolutely love this phone and won't be going bk to my Samsung as this is better! The camera is amazing on this great pics, battery last sooooo long and u can use 2sim cards aswell as extend the memory upto 512g with a micro SIM. All Google services work fine including Google play and all other apps. I cannot believe the price of this phone compared to some of the other brands as I personally think its the best phone iv ever had and iv had a few of the top brands but intend to stick with this now. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it , go on buy it ,I doubt very much u will be disappointed

Almost Great
Quickly to start with i returned it because it was crashing apps in the background and while using them. Might be a software bug that's been addressed since ive returned.
Fantastic battery life, Nice Screen, Quality feel, Included screen protector and case.
Hate the power button/fingerprint sensor combo. I like to just check my notifications on the lock screen but i had to actively try for it to not read my thumb otherwise it would just unlock. Might just be me but that was annoying.
Apart from the crashing and the power button id say its not a bad phone.

Bang for buck you can't go wrong with this phone
Bought this to replace an older smart phone, I've had it for a month now and I have to say, bang for buck, you really can't go wrong with this phone! Battery life is amazing, lasting minimum two days without charging and that's with fairly heavy use. The features, spec and camera are also quality gear for the price, while it will never be the latest and greatest (I phone, Samsung) it's still a really good phone, I got mine in the black Friday sales so paid a little less than it is now but I think I would have bought it at full price anyway. And it came with a handy rubbery plastic case which makes it even better value for money. Recommended

Volume even on maximum is too low, so having phone is pointless.
The phone is fine apart from one key essential thing. The volume is far too low. My hearing is normal but even with the volume set to maximum, it is really hard to hear anyone. If you can’t hear the person you’re talking to, then there is little point in having the phone. I googled after I bought the phone only to realise this was a widespread complaint. I’ve got a volume booster app but it doesn’t work. My previous phone’s volume was fine. It had a speakerphone but this one doesn’t. It’s been very disappointing.

Best phone I've had
Bought the phone for the screen and camera quality it advised, and I can say it does what it says on the tin. Very good screen you can tell it's better than my older Huawei and the camera is excellent , quality is the best I've had in any phone even the expense top brand one , Video is HD and watching films is like my TV , there's s so much on this phone for the price it is an absolute cracker , It is fast via internet and yes Google unlike Huawei and the memory is big ,all I can say best budget phone for all users ,and there's tons more features to mention I've not used yet z

Great alternative to leading brands
I previously had a iphone X which was a excellent phone. I was having difficulty seeing what was on the screen and it had been 2 years since I had any upgrade. The leading brands of mobile phone are very expensive, after reading and watching many posative reviews I choose the Mi Note 9 Pro and I have not been diappointed in the slightest and would reccomend this phone to anyone, there really is no need to pay more.

Redmi note 9 pro
Always been an android fan and had the original Google Pixel XL and Pixel 2XL. It was time for an upgrade and I didn't see the value of going to Pixel 4a 5G and didn't want the small screen on the Pixel 5. I went for this after some online sleuthing. It's a great phone. Battery is incredible. I got the 6gb ram and 128gb storage versions. No issues at all, quick phone and plays games easily. It has its own gaming mode. What I would say is this phone does like to advertise on EVERYTHING on the phone and in apps. I disabled this and it's virtually stopped all of this. Easy to do and there is a ton of videos on YouTube that show how to do it. It's a great phone had it a month now and very impressed. Definitely value for money.

Fantastic phone with many flagship level features.
It's a good enough phone at £249 but it was simply astounding value when it was £159 during the Amazon UK Black Friday sale. Bought as a gift for someone for Christmas but tried it out myself first and set it up for them.
Pros: A vivid LCD screen with excellent brightness levels and clarity, almost as good as OLED and certainly an exceptional LCD one. Nice form factor, brilliant and fast fingerprint sensor on the power button on the right hand side. Works better than my Note 20 Ultra's in-screen optical sensor. Fast enough performance from the mid-level processor and ample memory RAM for multitasking. A really decent camera in both normal and low light. I was expecting this to be a compromise but it was really decent and not far off the flagship phones on everyday point and shoot photos. Even a decent night mode! Clearly the 64mp sensor is a decent mid-range one that would have been flagship level a couple of years ago. Battery life, well that's unreal and it also charges so quickly too.
Cons: Software interface is not as bad as other people say but if this was phone was closer to stock Android, it would improve it even more. No other cons to be honest.
Many flagship quality features and it makes you rethink why anyone would want to pay £800-£1300 for the top-tier models. Get this and go sim-free and you won't be disappointed. I'm a geek and I need to reconsider paying so much for my Note 20 Ultra after using this!

Bang for buck.
Don't bother with other phones, get this. I thought the 8 pro was a great phone, but the 9 blows it away. Screen colours are spectacular, easy to use if you install Nova Launcher, audio fantastic and all my own installed apps work as they should. If you know how to use a PC then you can uninstall the bloatware without rooting. This is as good as it gets or is going to get. The Xiaomi 10T pro is awful and I'm guessing the 11 will be the same (almost identical specs). Hope they get it right in the future, audio and charging cannot share the same output. Seriously, don't bother with £1000+ phones and if you are an apple nut then change to android.

Not worth the Money.
Bought this phone last year but only just started to us it. Very poor all round. Runs on old Android system. Problems with connectivity to WIFI, poor downloading off apps. Not possible to bluetooth contacts across or via sim from other phone has to be done manually. Would not recommend. Spend a bit more get a proper phone. This is rubbish.

Amazing quality phone for the price
I bought this at Black Friday/Cyber Monday at a very very good price.
Phone has a very nice camera, resolution, NFC sensor etc and is very fast, honestly quality for the price is unbeatable I think.
Only thing is that the Fingerprint reader is integrated on the side button and sometimes you may unlock the phone by accident, happened to me in the beginning but got used to it now.
This is the 3rd Xiaomi phone I buy and they still haven't let me down. You won't be dissapointed, I don't think there is a better bang for your buck!

Best phone I've had to date
My last phone was starting to die with the screen giving out and the battery barely lasting the day, and after using this phone for about over a week it feels great being able to not need to charge my phone every night. After being fully charged the first night it barely dropped by 10% after setup and everything installed (which was a couple of hours). Brilliant camera quality for college work, easily working with google drive and transferring images. would recommend to friends easily if in need of a new phone.

The user guide is useless
The phone is very good, great screen, the camera is efficient, not the best but very good for the price and very easy to use. The software and system is a little tricky to get to grips with but does everything well once you sort it out. A bit too much bloatware. The worst thing about the phone was the charger did not appear to be a UK spec and although it had three pins they were too close together to fit the UK socket. There is NO indication that in fact you need to push the earth pin out from the body to put it in the right position. Wasted a load of time, only solved it when I saw a charger for sale on Amazon.

WIFI issues DONT PURCHASE this model
WiFi dropping renders the phone as completely frustrating.
Phone is stylish and features as expected however the WiFi disconnects intermittently especially when the screen sleeps causing your to have to reconnect to get apps and messages to refresh and come through. Its very frustrating and unfortunate and therefore will be returning the device.

Don't miss the iPhone ...great pictures
I had to hand back my iPhone 7 as I changed jobs and needed my own phone. Having got used to android I have to say that I think that phone is great. The camera is compared to my iPhone 7 amazing the dark mode pictures and portrait modes are just amazing. Turning to the battery well it is simply excellent. I used it throughout the day on full screen brightness and it's like 79% at the end of the day. The fast charger is also great charging the phone in no time. The build quality is nice too being glass front and back . A bit of a finger print magnet but hehow. When I got to my new job they gave me a new iPhone 11 and I've not really player with it preferring this phone which I think speaks volumes. Really pleased.

Great budget phone with a fatal flaw
Nice phone, with decent specs. Was on special offer when I purchased, at a very attractive discount (£109 reduced from £179). Unfortunately it presented repeated screen freezing in use, and spontaneous reboots. This problem is mentioned in a number of reviews, from Dec 2020 to Apr 2021, so I'm not confident that there will be an update to fix it. Maybe this is why they're being sold off cheap? Decided to return for refund and try a different phone.

Fantastic price for a fantastic phone
Got this to upgrade my old Xiaomi. I couldn't be happier it's a great feature packed phone with the spec of a much higher priced phone - does everything I need and at a price you can afford.
The battery charges in next to no time with the enclosed 30w charger and lasts ages. I'm not what I'd call a heavy user but do spend time on the web/social media and stream films etc and I find the battery lasts me about a day and a half.
All in all you can't beat the value for money

Underwhelming even for a budget phone.
No-one should expect too much in terms of luxury from a sub £100 budget phone but this Xiaomi addition can be infuriatingly laggy, unpredictable and sticky. Page and app flicking can often freeze and the back button often remains unresponsive for some time. For some reason, the camera sometimes seems to activate itself at will. I've had Xiaomi phones before from the budget range but this is probably the worst ever in terms of performance basics. Great photos though.

Faulty and poor performance
Phone has a nice design and the battery lasts for days. However the camera quality is low. Also, when clicking the option to not auto rotate, the phone rotates anyways. The phone freezes sometimes which is very annoying considering I bought it 3 days ago. When turning it on, the phone sometimes starts turning on but then turns back off again? I'm returning this phone, as I believe you can get a phone with a much better performance for a better price.
