Must do better
Great overall phone but the WiFi issues are terrible I've pretty much given up using it and have pretty much been using data. It's most annoying with connected devices. If not resolved soon I will seek a refund

Astonishing value for money
This phone was purchased for work purposes and I have to say I'm blown away.
The screen is big, bright and very crisp. Contrast and colours are good and saturated. It may not be an OLED display like my personal Galaxy S20 plus but you'd be hard pressed to tell which one is better/worse side by side.
Performance is good, 6GB of RAM is plenty for a work phone but I wanted a phone to last a while and this should do the job just fine. No real performance issues and for all accounts it is buttery smooth. The only slight gripe is that the WIFI connection occasionally drops when the phone is locked. Doesn't happened all the time. Odd quirk but I'm sure a software update can fix it. *UPDATE WIFI no longer drops out*
There is a reassuring weight to the phone owing to the 5000mah battery which is absolutely phenomenal. For light to medium use this phone will last days, yes DAYS, before needing to be charged. Amazing and exceeded expectations.
Camera isn't a priority for me on this phone but the pictures I've taken in standard light conditions are very good and there are some neat modes. Can't comment on low light performance.
I'm actually a big fan of the UI. It's quirky and different. It seems that Xiaomi actually like to have fun with their UIs and it looks nice and works nice.
Build quality is fantastic. As stated above, there is a reassuring weight to the phone. The buttons are very nice and clicky. The side mounted fingerprint sensor is lightning fast which is a big plus for me (not a fan of under screen sensors).
To sum up; for £180 (what I paid) this phone is amazing value for money and a very very good phone.
Not all cheap technology is good but good technology is becoming cheaper.

Good but has problems.
Very good phone for the money, but has a problem with the WiFi disconnecting every time the phone goes on standby. Apparently xaoimi know of the problem and will address it in the next update.
Update: I contacted xaoimi about WiFi problems and they sent me a link to download new firmware. Since updating the phone has been brilliant. Lots of phone for half the price of a 'named' phone. Very happy.

High end capability at a bargain price.
After my usual painstaking research I chose this for my partner to replace her ailing Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge. I knew that her most important requirements were a long battery life, an excellent camera, NFC for contactless payments, and a large display. Whilst the most important requirement for me was something that wouldn’t break the bank! After a week of use my partner’s verdict is that it ticks all those boxes and can do anything her old phone can do - she’s absolutely delighted with it. The only tangible difference is that it feels a bit plasticky, but once you stick a cover on it that doesn’t really matter. I’d therefore have no hesitation in recommending this phone to anybody - it’s an absolute bargain.

Xiaomi phones for the price cannot be beated!
My 3rd Xiaomi phone.. for the prices these phones retail for they can not be beaten.
Who wants to spend £700+ when the phones from Xiaomi do the exact same for a lot less.
Excellent build quality, battery life is superb and a great quad camera with macro lens for super upclose detailed photos.
An included 33W mains charger is included which allows turbo charging out of the box something which most flagship phones don't even provide!
Would definitely recommend this phone!

What a great phone.
Have the phone a week now and after reading reviews and looking at YouTube I deceided to get it. Have to say not on bit disappointed . It's a superb phone. I've had no issues yet. Screen is good, not bad even in bright sunshine. Battery is amazing, lasted the whole day from 6am till I went to bed on a single charge and still had 35 percent left. I've always had Samsung phones and I'm not sorry I switched to this phone. I would recommend this phone.

Good, but not as a phone!!??
I have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 and I am more than pleased with it so I decided to upgrade it to the Redmi Note 9 Pro 6GB/64GB. Had it a couple of weeks and had to go back because it kept dropping calls. I got my replacement the next day and off I went to set this one up. A few days later the replacement was being sent back. I decided it may be just that particular model so I went for the 6GB/128GB model next. The new phone has been packed and is waiting to be sent back to Amazon. All 3 phones with the very same fault. They function well but not as a phone. The funamentary design and it fails! I did call Xiaomi before sending the 2nd and 3rd phones back but they were suggesting they were broke and wanted to repair them. If its broke from new then should it not be recalled and fixed??

Great purchase
I just received this phone. My only complain is that it doesn't come with headphones, as picture indicated. So I would say it is a false offer. But the phone itself is a real pleasure to work with. I was looking for a phone with big screen, easy to work with, and within a reasonable budget. I can't comment on the processor or techinical details, as I am not sn expert, but as a normal user, that only needs the phone to check emails, google, sociak media, listen to music and take pictures, I am beyond happy with this phone. I don' t understand why people pay more than 1000 euro for an Iphone or Samsung, when this phone does the job without breaking the bank!

DO NOT BUY IT
I HAD TO BUY ANOTHER PHONE AFTER ONE WEEK BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT WAY TO EVEN UNLOCK IT, IT WS COMPLETELY FREEZE ALL THE TIME AND I DIDNT EVEN PASS MY FILES OR PICS, JUST USING WHATSAPP AND INSTAGRAM. SO DISSAPOINTED

Best budget phone 2020
It is hands down best you can buy for the money. As a UK version it didnt have lots of bloatware as well. Camera and apps are very fast. Fingerprint reader on the side is very practical and feels seamless. Designwise it feels much more expensive and quality feels high end. Really happy with this.

I was hoping this phone wouldn't have the WiFi issues so many others talked about. Unfortunately it does, especially as some others claimed it wasn't an issue for them. I'm returning it straight away

Nice phone
I recently got an iPhone 11 Pro Max after having a mixture of Android devices and older iPhones. I mention this as I didn't think the 11 Pro Max was worth the price compared to what it could do when put up against other phones. I have a Moto G8 Plus for work and it works well. I looked around for a device with good specs, large battery and came across Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro. I have always been hesitant about buying a cheaper, lesser known Chinese phone, more so with the America/Google issues with Chinese phones.
Well I am pleased to say this phone works with all Google's services/apps and the phone in itself is great for the money.

Great phone for the price
Bought this at £99 as an early Xmas present for my girlfriend to replace her old Huawei and she loves it
It transferred all her Google Apps, data, contacts etc efficiently so was up and running quickly.
It compares quite well against my more expensive Huawei mobile too.
For the people who suggest that they didn't receive the headphones I suggest they look UNDER the internal packaging!
And for people complaining about things like watermark on photos; you obviously don't know how to use settings!

However, almost a week in, I already have a front camera issue. It won't connect to the camera. this is a hardware issue. and this is really putting me off Xiaomi. Not really the sellers fault. Its a hardware issue

I've been using a OnePlus 5 for the past four years and I love it. No complaints at all. Well, nothing major anyway. Four years old and it feels as good as it did in year one. Which I can't say about my previous phone, which I also had for four years, but really shouldn't have. In short then, no complaints with the OP5. Long story short I had a need for a temporary replacement phone quickly and took a chance on this based on some suspiciously good reviews. And I am glad I did. This is a phenomenal phone for the money. In daily use I can't honestly say it performs worse than my cherished OP, which I repeat, is still going strong today despite it's age. In some respects this phone is better. It's got a bigger screen. Smaller bezel. Massive battery. More apps seem to respect dark mode than on the OP5. Some people don't like MIUI, but if you are comfortable searching for settings in slightly different menus then it's no biggie. Saying that I use a different launcher so don't get as exposed to the software as I might. Normally I run as fast as possible from cheap tech as in my experience cheap phones, tablets etc are a massive disappointment. Not this. I may actually continue to use this as my daily device and keep the OP as a backup device, it's that good. I feel sorry for anyone who buys a flagship these days. A grand will get you six of these puppies and I highly doubt a flagship is six times as good.

I really am impressed with this phone. Had it for a couple weeks now. Must say it's fantastic value for money. The camera quality is very good the performance is smooth and runs really well. Definitely recommend for anyone not wanting to get ripped off on the £1000+ phones

A phenomenal phone
This is by far the best phone I have owned. Having been through the entire range of Samsung, Huawei, Apple and even a Meizu a while back this phone is pound for pound surely the best phone available today. Spec is unreal and has every possible additional extra. Fingerprint on the side is a great touch as is the IR function to control the TV. Camera quality and options are fantastic. Don't bother swithering about this phone, just buy it - you won't be disappointed

BEST SPEC/QUALITY/for thePRICE 5G PHONE
Arrived sealed in undamaged, sealed, Xiaomi, and delivery box, & sold & fulfilled by Amazon. Though not a huge fan of Xiaomi, I bow to their superior quality for whichever model you buy, at whatever price. MEDIATEK have upped their game, and are, now, a worthy match for Qualcomm. I am now content with my 3/32GB Redmi 9, after, MIUI 12 update, many permitted app deletions, and my own choice additions. I bought this 9T after some research of the competition, and a whopping 30% discount & higher spec., with 5G(after seeing people signing up in the street for a 5G deal by a Smartphone/internet provider, indicating escalating 5G rollout.) I wanted an LCD screen, as they last longer than AMOLED, and I prefer less brightness, unless outdoors. Too, I wanted stereo with out using headphones, and don't want a mono speaker again. The TOP stereo speaker is fine for me, even if it comes from the headphones access hole. I didn't want a glass back phone, due to fragility, or another aluminium back which doesn't absorb impacts as well as plastic - superior plastics has to be the future, unless glass becomes shatterproof and scratch proof! I also avoid any trendy curved glass phones, as, if the screen breaks, it can cost more than a new phone to replace, inc repairs, as the liquid display penetrates into the phone, I am reliably informed by an engineer. So flat glass, cheapish to replace for me! As for the competition, I didn't want to pay the premium for the SAMSUNG name, or end up with a model that overheats. I didn't want the Realme 7, which is reported to overheat, without possible resolution for the overheating. (I seem to remember overheating indicates inferior components/ design; and heat kills a battery.) The Oppo family, inc OnePlus, though makers of SOME good models, are not up to the standard of XIAOMI, model for model - Realme nowhere near! Motorola peaked with the excellent E5, and Moto G7; having since decided, it seems, quantity of new releases is the priority, not higher quality; and loooong waiting times for just the1 x Android update is also not a priority, which is ill-judged. Quality, pricey competitor Honor don't even do an Android update, they admit, if you buy a model that has the necessary evil of tracking, info gathering Google services. As with the Redmi9, at time of release, there is, now, no entry level 5G phone better than the Xiaomi 9T 5G - especially with huge discount, with the consistent services and reliability of the Amazon behemoth! (UPDATE to follow.)

Redundant after two months
This is easily the worst phone I have ever used. Out of the box it had performance issues, I cant scroll on any app or website for two long without the entire phone starting to freeze up. The camera quality is only ok for a brand new phone and sometimes takes MINUTES to open or take a picture. If I start trying to change the setting while in the camera it also starts to freeze and sometimes crashes all together. The predictive text doesn't work, autocorrect also doesn't work properly, some apps don't work properly or do bizarre things and I never get notifications on time. If I'm logged onto a website like twitter or Facebook on my laptop I will get the notification instantly, but I wont see it appear on my phone for sometimes upwards of 5 or 10 minutes or usually not at all. I bought this phone as it came highly recommended as a budget phone but it's been nothing but an annoyance and I've already replaced it and gone back to Samsung.

Wanted a screen I could actually see.
Had to have reasonable battery life and not take hr's to charge.
Good Camera.
Ample storage.
Robust build.
Not cost me an arm and a leg.
Had this phone over 2 months now and has proved one of my better buys. Fulfilling all the above - for a lite user like myself. The battery lasts me anywhere up to 4 days and charges really quickly. The camera generally takes really good photos which display well on my laptop. Need to use the app more to improve night shots, as these can be on the grainy side. I use very few apps to gauge speed, however I do use a shift planner which used to take a while to load on my old Sony xperia. Now loads and is usable in seconds. This is a big/heavy phone and when placed in the back pocket of my jeans it does peep slightly over the top. However, I can watch/use WhatsApp/utube videos comfortably without straining my eyes. For just over £200 I feel it to be v good value.
