WARZONE WINS FOR THE BOYS
Some may wonder whether these headphones really are that good. I’m gonna tell you a story. Call of Duty Warzone. It’s the last circle and I’m alone, my teammates dead. As they speak words of encouragement to me, I think GOD THATS GOOD SOUND QUALITY. Situated in Riverside, I sit on the top floor of a house...waiting. I close my eyes, my ears are my weapon of choice and they tell me everything. I hear footsteps below me running up the stairs to my right. I open my eyes and send a RPG rocket at him. Dead. And I think again, GOD THATS GOOD SOUND QUALITY. Separating my team’s voices from the action is too easy. I don’t even have to try, and again I think GOD THATS GOOD SOUND QUALITY. The gas is moving in again. 4 Players left. A team of three, and me. This is it I tell myself. I hear a door open across the road and the soft sound of footsteps running up the stairs to the top floor of the building. I train my RPG on the window. Two come into sight. Dead. As the German voices cry through the headset “NEIN” I yell, “take that you krauts”. And again I think, GOD THATS GOOD SOUND QUALITY. Final man. 1v1. Mano e Mano. RPG is my game, but the sound quality of these headphones is my game. As I stare out the window at the two dead bodies, I hear the delicate sound of a door peaking open below me. This is it.
I jump out of the window, spring round the side of the house, hear him reloading, smash through the door, my MP5 in hand, I scream F*** OFF GRASSHOPPER, and he’s dead. Simple victory. And for the final time that evening I think GOD THATS GOOD SOUND QUALITY. Another win for the books, another win for the boys, another win for England against three pathetic Germans. I blast Pirates of the Caribbean through the headset and my friends say to me “God thats good sound quality”. I smile. This is my life now. Pure sound quality at all times, wins, ALL THE TIME.

Fantastic for small heads!
Love these! I have a tiny head so buying a headset was a stressful experience. My old headset used to ache after a while as they’d press my glasses against my ears or squash my piercings. However, these have completely removed this problem from gaming for me. The extendable mic is also a nice touch as it means you can move it away from your face when you’re not in a party. The comfort and sound quality are both high quality :)

Nice clear speech bothways
Good volumes nice and loud.
No distortion when you crank up your fav shooter and nice quality on adventure games.
The THX dongle for pc (does work on ps4 as a amped headphone) so a little louder than just plugging in the controller, although that's loud anyway.
Good all rounder tested with dolby atmos and worked a treat on xbox and Netflix atmos supported movies.
Many times in online multiplayer shooters I have spun round and killed players because this headset allowed me to hear them coming. Always a plus.
Comfort.
Light, comfy cool gel earphones, glasses wearers these are excellent to, over head band you forget is there no over sweat issues either.
Durability these will last as long as you look after them, a lot of metals in the build quality, shame the cable isn't removable incase the wire was ever damaged but not an issue here.
On pc you may find the mic doesn't work when you plug in your USB THX dongle,
Please install razers synapse software to control the headsets volumes and features and all is perfect.

These are good. I give overall 8/10 as always room for improvement. A good solid buy.

SUPER Comfortable!

So I have been using a pair of Astro A40 TR's for the last year or so and although the sound quality is amazing, they were very heavy and were very uncomfortable after longer gaming sessions.
So I thought let me give these a try as all my other peripherals are made by Razer, and let's just say I was not let down!
First of all these headphones are a lot lighter than I expected, which helps for longer sessions of gaming or work. They come with a usb adaptor for the PC which works well, but also has the potential to work on consoles without this separate adaptor. I have tried these on my PS4 and was very impressed with the sound and mic quality. The mic as mentioned is retractable and when retracted automatically mutes the mic. There is a separate remote on the headphone wire that allows to adjust volume and to mute the mic for when using without the usb adaptor. The usb adaptor has those functions too.
The wire of the headphones is made of a fabric type material and is very good at not tangling, unlike traditional plastic coated wiring.
The ear/head cushions are a tad bulky in size/looks but they are so comfortable, like actual pillows for your ear and head.
Only thing I wish is that the sides of these headphones had the razer logo light up, like the other razer products :P
If you are into PC gaming and play for long hours, definitely buy these headphones 5/5 ^__^

The best thing in my gaming setup! (Razer Kraken X USB)
When I look for gaming headsets to buy, I always consider the sound quality (obviously), comfort, noise cancellation quality, the bass (for footsteps) and the mic quality, so this review will be mainly based on those things.
Sound Quality
The sound quality is phenomenal, all reviews say “for this affordable price, the sound quality is great”, but I don’t think that is fair, I believe the sound quality is great for 3 times the price of these headphones. Everything is crisp and clear. In addition to this, something I did not expect, these headphones are great for movie watch and music as well! The bass shakes the headphones but doesn’t overshadow the trebles and the highs. The 7.1 surround system software that you can download (with the activation code provided with the purchase) works like a charm and is perfect for fps and campaign gaming.
Comfort
These headphones are ultra light and have such a compact build, they feel super comfortable on your head and ears. They have a tight fit but with all the padding, you can barely feel the headphones. These are perfect for long hours of gaming, so obviously ideal for these times with everyone being in lockdown and gaming for 12+ hours a day! Also the mic is easy to move around and very flexible which is always a good feature to have.
Noise Cancellation
Obviously there isn’t active noise cancellation technology on these headphones but if Razer said there is, they would’ve gotten away with it! You can barely hear things around you, I have a (extremely) loud mechanical keyboard and I cannot hear it at all which is just great. Makes me so immersed in the gameplay and focus on nothing but that.
Bass
I think everyone can figure out the theme of this review by now! Everything is amazing! That goes for the bass as well. As I mentioned, the bass can be strong enough to shake the headphones but doesn’t overshadow all the other sound fx. In gaming, especially for fps games like CSGO and COD, these headphones will be extremely useful as the footsteps are loud and clear and with the amazing surround system, you’ll never have to guess which way the enemy is coming from.
Mic Quality
Speechless! Which is kind of an ironic thing to say for this part of the review. Like I said, I have a very very very loud mechanical keyboard and as you can imagine, all my friends are always complaining, so I would have to put my mic input level to the point where they can barely hear me. With the Kraken X, the mic picks up nothing but my
voice, and it is so sharp and clear and all my
friends noticed it straight away. I tested it out on discord and couldn’t believe how good my voice sounds!
Bonus!
These headphones look so cool, with a matte black finish and lit green Razer logos on the sides.
Verdict
Would definitely without a shadow of a doubt recommend these to anyone who is looking for headphones, cheap or expensive! I addition to this, the warranty is amazing and the Razer customer support is fast and reliable.

Very good headset
This headset is very nice, however it does lack sound quality when using the sysnapse THX spatial sound, i managed to overcome this by using the dolby atmos for headphones drivers (notes these cost an additional £15) but in my opinion this headet paired with those audio drivers is well worth it.
They are incedibly comfortable, most headphones/headsets i have tried hurt your head after long periods of wearing them and must be broken in slowly, however these are perfectly comfable for hours of gaming right out the box.
Pros:
- Very good sound quality (with dolby atmos drivers)
- Extremely comoftable
- Lots of controls
- High quality and great build (mostly metal)
- Easy setup
Cons:
- Short cable between usb sound card/control hub (bad for cable management)
- Out of the bos drivers (synapse THX spatial sound) is not very good (reccomend using dolby atmos for headphones)
- Microphone is a bit wobbly (however it does retract)

Perfect with a lil downside
I love this headset but the volume wheel is so sensitive, it gets caught a lot and moves my volume up or down dramatically which scares me sometimes whilst I’m gaming 😂 otherwise it’s a brilliant headset and my mates i game online with have also said how much better the sound is compared to my Turtle Beaches before.
The scroll is sensitive so I’ve given it 4*

Amazing comfort
You all know razer offers great quality. And as always, with this headset they did too. Very durable metal frame and the most comfortable cushions I have tried. Very stealthy all black look, it doesnt scream that its razer like their other products. The software is very pretty and intuitive, however the thx spatial audio is a little bit worse than you'd expect. Some other 7.1 surrounds I've tried worked better but the comfort is just heaven!

I hated this headset so much, First of all its really uncomfortable after an hour of wearing it, it was causing me to have breakouts in my skin around my ears and my neck maybe an allergic reaction to the horrible material on the ear cuffs, The mic is crap everyone was complaining about how quiet i am so i had to turn everything up full. the mic has to be basically in your mouth to pic up sound its the worst headset i've owned. which is sad because every other Razer product ive owned has been great. I have recently replaced this headset with the HyperX cloud II which are amazing and well worth spending the extra money on.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL!
This is the headset recommended by friends for gaming. As I am a content creator, it is a very important addition to my setup. However, after spending an entire day trying to get them to function because support in the UK DOES NOT EXIST because whomever coded their website will not allow for 5 digit area codes, as we have in the UK, and if you live outside of the US and Canada, online support tickets are your ONLY source of help. So I had to send the entire day researching the internet. I found the same issue I had, microphone not working in Minecraft had been reported by 377 other people on the Microsoft website. So at this point I spoke to a Microsoft adviser, who told me, "We are well aware of this issue, we are still trying to fix it so you will have to wait until our next update (no date given) for your headphones to work.
So Razor blew it, and then Microsoft blew it too! Tat is why, I am currently giving them only one star, as I have just spent £50 on hardware that I cannot even use, and the company that sold them to me has set up a perfect website system where they are not contactable. Very shading business dealings by both Razer and Microsoft. This is my first experience of a Razer product, so far I would not recommend to anyone, because these are pretty much specifically built for windows 10 64 bit (if you want the virtual 7.1 to work at all) and currently they will not work on that operating system, except as mere headphones, but NOT as a headset!
In my book that is an old fashioned swindle!
Additional. I was told by Microsoft that this issue would be fixed with their next update, it was not, now my computer will not recognise the headphones at all, and they do weird things to my computer when I plug them in like stopping videos from playing and generally killing audio on my computer. Even though the company offers zero support for the UK because their website is incorrectly coded, they have a facebook page, but they are ignoring my repeated requests for help on there.
Eventually they got back to me on the facebook page ad gave me incorrect information on how to fix the headphones. They will not reply again, so not only is this dodgy company trying to sell a device that they say is built for windows 10, but does not work on windows 10 at all, and they do not care if their product works or not.

The sound quality is great but the build quality is VERY bad
The sound quality was pretty good and I enjoyed it very much. The 7.1 surround sound feature is actually surprisingly a decent experience. The mic is very good, the audio is clear and crisp. But. I was high disappointed by the build quality, after a decent use of 6-7months, I'm starting to see cracks in the headband part of the headphones, and makes weird cracking noise when I wear it. Really didn't expect this kinda quality from Razer, I know this isn't a high price range headphone but still doesn't mean the product has to become unusable after just 6-7months.

Amazing for PUBG...
These are very balanced headphones. Bass can be quite intense. Sounds better with smarphones with built in DAC (iPhone, LG V40 etc.). But works good with other smartphones also. Surround sound is quite good even on mobile. Playing PUBG mobile has never been so easy. Enemy spotting is lot easier due to the wider soundstage.
Only con is I felt the requirement of an external DAC-AMP with some smartphones (ex: OnePlus 6, Redmi Note 5 pro).
Overall, if you are looking for a comfortable mobile gaming headphone, go for it!

Great piece of headphones, except the build quality is very bad will break woth
These are great and no doubt razer has done well in making it comfortable as i have used it over 20 days and did not find any discomfort. The sound is very good although they just have 7.1 visualisation via software and, they are not actually 7.1 speakers ,but honestly there is no difference. Also they are supposed to be used primarily for gaming and not to listen to music or watching movies/tv, but they do sound good for music and mobile gaming, also would recommend to use them specifically for pc or maybe a console. The material looks good and hope it lasts as it feels plastic. As you can see in one of the image that the box was open form one side but the product wasn't damaged or broken, hope it works.
After i have used this product for a year it has started breaking and getting cracks because of low quality build by the company and they also refuse to give me an exchange which is anyway not possible as it comes under user handling. Please do not buy this product as it has low build quality.

The first impression when you look at the headset "It's huge". The design is better than the predecessor. When I held the headset in my hands I immediately noticed how light weight it is. This headset is very cleverly designed. Looks humongous but very light.
50mm drivers, retractable mic, aluminum body constructions, large circular ear cups, braided cables are some of the highlights of this headset.
I bought this headset mainly for my PlayStation 4. I had been using Mad Catz Tritton Kama Stereo Headset.
The moment you'll wear this headset you would feel to notice how light weight it is and you can put it on for hours together. The audio is very well balanced. You can feel the bass with clarity. The noticeable bass will satisfy you for sure. The retractable mic is very good for in-game and Skype conversations. Team Razer has done a wonderful job by creating this masterpiece. It is cheaper than its competitors. You will appreciate it's build quality, audio quality, sturdiness and the overall look and feel well put together.

Amazing for the Price
Let me start things off with the one I got, the Kraken X ultralight, the non USB version.
*COMFORT*
I wear my headphones almost all day, and wearing these is so comfortable. These are the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever worn. Though there is no forward/backward swivel on these, they are still very comfortable. The clamping force is perfect. It feels as if the headphones are there, but they dont squeeze your head, and the clamping force makes me feel confident that they wont fall off. The ear cups are so darn soft. They are like soft marshmallows on your ears. The padding on the headband is the same. I used to own G231's from Logitech, and though they feel comfy, they will not match up to the kraken x's in a million lightyears. There is also a sufficient room for extending the earcups, and there are also numbers to indicate the length you keep the headset at. The Branding in minimal on the sides. The top shows a big RAZER logo, but its not noticable. Even the biggest of the heads will have no problem wearing these for hours. There is also a mute button on the left earcup along with a sound control scroll wheel.
*SOUND*
The sound is also really good. Don't expect something phenomenal like DT990s. Im not saying they're not phenomenal, for the price, they definitely are. Although at first, the audio drivers messed up in my PC, so the audio was muffled, but I turned off audio enhancements in my audio control, and that fixed the audio.
In games, the audio is REALLY good for tracking opponents or players. You can clear tell where the players are. And these go LOUD. I keep them at 30% audio at all times. Even in movies or shows, if a car is coming from the left, you can hear the car in your left ear, and gradually as it comes to the center, the audio also comes to the center. The audio is a big 10/10 from me. (This was not the case with the G231s). If you're upgrading from a lower brand like red gear or cosmic byte, these will feel like a difference between heaven and earth. (to be expected).
For music, they're decent, because the main purpose is gaming. The bass is slightly off, but not terrible at all. You can use these to edit videos without a problem, but if you're into audio production as your main reason to buy these, dont. For gaming, entertaintment, editing videos etc, go for them. You wont regret it at all.
*Build Quality*
Though they're mainly plastic (even the adjustment rail)to maintain the 'ultralight name', they don't feel flimsy at all. They feel solid, of course, dont throw them around. The construction feels solid, and the plastic is premium, with all matte finish, except for the RAZER text on top, which is glossy. Ive used them for 10 days, not a single fingerprint on them yet. Not a single scratch either. The texture is a bit grainy, but you wont notice it when touching it. It feels smooth.
*Mic*
The mic is decent. Nothing outstanding, but it gets the job done very well. The mic doesnt swivel, but it has a very flexible arm. The mic sounds really good on mobile, there is ZERO background static/audio. But only on phones. On PC, it has some levels of bzzzzzzzt noises, (in audacity audio software) but in games, the audio is clear. No muffles or anything like that. Its one of the best onboard headset mics.
*7.1*
The 7.1 is emulated via a software, so its kinda imperfect. I personally don't use it. It increases audio by 20%, and does sound a tad bit more balanced on both ears. Its good... In most cases. In one game (Minecraft JAVA), I noticed that when I turned my back to a Juke Box/sound source, the audio just fades down drastically. In valorant, its not that bad. Would use it at times. Overall, its a good addition.
*Overall*
If youre looking to upgrade from something like Cosmic Byte or Red Gear, its a no brainer. Go for it. If you have to choose between logitech or HyperX or Corsair for the similar/same price, I'd recommend you to buy these. They're slightly better in each category than all the other brands. The corsair HS35/40's have trash mics. The Logitechs g231s are a bit on the heavy side.(not taxing at all though) The hyperX stingers are fine, still Razer takes the crown. If you can buy the Cloud 2s, or the HS50, or the Gpro, then buy those. These Kraken Xs are a mid range budget headsets. And could give decent competition to the high end headsets such as above mentioned (But wont beat them). Overall, really amazing for the price.

Great headphones for gaming, works very well with PC and Xbox
I bought this to use with both my PC and Xbox, have been using for a day and it is pretty good.
You won't be blown away by the sound quality but that's expected since this one isn't a general purpose headset but one that's suited for gaming, I am able to clearly hear smaller sounds like footsteps. Also the USB controller has a handy bass adjustment control which I really like.
If you plan to use it with Xbox, I'd suggest investing in Xbox Play and Charge Kit for the controller instead of using non rechargeable batteries as plugging in this headset causes the batteries to drain very quickly.
The mic is very clear and does a good job of boosting voice by nicely cancelling out noise.
You won't be blown away by the sound quality but that's expected since this one isn't a general purpose headset but one that's suited for gaming, I am able to clearly hear smaller sounds like footsteps. Also the USB controller has a handy bass adjustment control which I really like.

Razer on a budget!
This is the cheapest offering from Razer, but definitely doesnt look like it.
Pros :
• extremely lightweight and comfortable , you won't feel the weight even when put on for hours. The earcups are soft and just sticks on to your ears
• good built quality, looks and feels like a Razer in every way. Braided wire too.
• hidden eyewear channels, a boon for glassed guys like me, spectacles stay put without any irritations
• Excellent noise-cancelling mic, this mic is better than all the headsets in this range (I've used hyperx stinger, and turtle beach recon 50p, 70p and 150p). Dude this mic is even better than some of the costlier offerings from Razer. I use it for my Zoom meetings and my voice goes out crystal clear
• 90 degree bended 3.5mm jack, which no one mentions but it was one of the main USPs for me. This is actually rare in gaming headsets, hence playing pubg mobile doesn't seem a hindrance at all as I get to hold the phone so comfortably.
• 2 year warranty
Cons :
• Portability is an issue since its not much flexible and the cups aren't rotatable either
• non-detachable and non-retractable mic, you only hv the option to bend it away from you when not in use

Pros- Very good sound quality Definitely you will able to locate enemies positions. Footsteps sound is clear enough for the price. Music sound is above average as it is A gaming centric headset don’t expect much.
Cons- Biggest con of this headset is its mic it is very sensitive it will capture background noises like fan sound . Your teammates will definitely going to complain you about background sound( My teammates often tell me Are you riding bike or is there storm going on in your area 🤣). Another con is your ear will sweat a-lot you have to remove your headset in between your gaming session .
Finally Though it has few which can be adjusted. It will definitely improve your gaming performance and will give you pleasurable experience. For the price this is definitely recommended.

Awesome Headphones for the price!
Delivery of product in a damaged box the first time, seal intact but bottom of box clearly torn off in order to take out the headset for use. Was disappointed that such stuff happened with a reputable seller such as Cloudtail. Filed for replacement in a couple of days, get a perfectly intact box the second time.
Now for the headphone -
I am by no means an audiophile, neither have I owned any of those heavier gaming headsets to justify that its lightweight in comparison. The best part about this headset would be its microphone, could be slightly longer like maybe a cm longer but the audio quality of the recorded sound is excellent. The volume control and a mic mute button are extremely convenient as well. My only problem would be that the headset feels a bit tight on my head but I guess that's because I've got used to extremely lightweight ones, such as the Sennheiser PC3 I've been using for the last 5 years. As for the surround sound, I've noticed clear improvement from regular stereo headphones in hearing ambient sounds in game from the proper direction. Overall, slightly tight, a messed up delivery the first time, but still once you get your hands on the headset It's a grab worth the price.

They are just meant for gaming. That is it .
So I bought this headphones for 4.5 thousand rupees. I will have to say that these headphones are good but if you are trying to use it for listening to music or anything else I will not recommend them as the audio clarity is really bad. What I have to say is you can buy something better at this price point like the audio technica m40x. They are really good and they will perform way better than the razer headphones.

Really good, no issues so far.
Really good headset, been using for over a week without any issues whatsoever.
On the first day my razer surround sound did seem to work, but i just waited and it started on its own, not sure what the issue was.
The equaliser has been set in headphones for footsteps, but it you also listen to music please try to remove the bass boost feature or as i have in ny dell sound card the max bass feature as it makes the sound horrible.

RAZER IS THE BEST!!
These are the best headphones in this price range. I mean its lightweight, unlike the Kraken 2019 Tournament edition. The memory foams are soo soft, also its a RAZER product. Its an amazing deal for this price (₹4199). I was looking for a comfy pair of headphones. Previously i was using those EKSA headphones, which honestly cracked my ears open. They were soo uncomfortable 😔. But the RAZER KRAKEN'S are the wayy to go!! Sound quality is best, comfortable, and its RAZER. Definitely would recommend to buy these if you want headphones to last for years.😍😍💥🤯

Nothing much to say really
It's been a month and a half since I got these headphones and Tbh this a pretty good headphone if you are looking in the range of 4K, Buy this only if u game a lot don't expect it to sound awesome for music. Although this headphone does support 7D surround sound, the bass is very low. In terms of gaming, this is awesome. It is Razer after all.
The only thing I wanna point out. if u are gaming for a longer session then ur ears can get sweaty coz of the earcups, they are very comfy though. and I were specs still haven't faced any problem with it.
