I received this headset about 2 weeks ago and have been using it with my iphone 5. I updated the firmware the day that I received the headset because of the reviews on Amazon and the warning on Plantronics website.I gave it a 4 star because -1. firmware update DOES NOT work on macs,2. I have been hearing a hissing sound while dialing,3. the earpiece volume seem to be quiet4. earpiece sound clarity is less than the blueant headset that I also use.(I can hear the other person fine but sometimes it is hard to hear at the end of the sentence),What I like about this headset -1. Gorgeous Design: Looks much better in person than the photos. It is also the headset used in the Avengers per my research.2. Fantastic Call qualify/Noise Cancellation is fantastic: Receiver of phone calls all said that they could hear me VERY CLEAR and they couldn't tell that I was driving. I had this road noise problem with Blueant.3. Good Battery life: I talk on the phone a lot because of work (especially while I am driving) and I haven't run out of battery as of yet. I charge it about every 3 to 4 days.This is definitely one of the best headsets that I have used so far. The Voyager is SO MUCH BETTER comparing to the car bluetooth that I paid extra money for. I kept telling my friends that doesn't matter how expensive the car is, the car bluetooh will never work well. After I got the Voyager, they couldn't even tell I was driving when I called. This is really what I like about it the most.

Once I got used to the look and the sound of this Bluetooth headset, I have really liked it. The headset is easy to pair with the iPhone 5 but does not work exactly as expected with the vocal commands especially when SIRI is enabled in iOS 6. This is ok with me because I don't get that many incoming phone calls that require a call-waiting feature.I enjoy the opportunity to listen to my music tracks through this headset. More and more of the BT headsets are being made with this streaming option. This is not the crispest sound for music but it is passable. Works great for phone calls and there have not been any reported drops in calls or muffles. People have told me that my sound is clear with no echo or extraneous noise.The design is extremely comfortable and has some flexibility in ear canal sizing. I used the smallest option which required a switch of the rubber mold (easy to do). The mic boom on this headset makes it a little larger than most but it is manageable and very comfortable. I have worn in for lengths of 5 hours at a time and not had any problem. The battery provides a good life and the charger is easy to use.4 stars mainly because of music streaming sound and unexpected behaviors in iOS 6 with SIRI enabled. Otherwise, a durable, relatively aesthetically pleasing bluetooth headset made of good quality materials and some customization in fitting. I like it. It's my new favorite.Update: 13 October 2012: I have not experienced dropped calls with my iPhone 5 like other reviewers have. My headset says NE H2 behind the ear gel. One caveat that may or may not make a difference: my iPhone 5 is encased in an OtterBox Defender Series Case for iPhone 5 - Retail Packaging - Black because this is the way I use it - bar none.

The ability to use commands "answer" or "ignore" will not work with older basic cell phones. Works fine with smart phones (I still have Iphone 4GS).Also unavailable for basic phones: the announcement of incoming caller phone number (which Jawbone Icon does just fine).Very nifty feature is voice command ability for pairing and connecting phones. With other headsets, it can be annoying when using multiple phones - going in and out of range - sometimes one phone will not reconnect automatically. So the voice command is super convenient for that.Found comfort to be excellent wearing all day. Way better than Voyager Pro, even though ear gels are very similar - Legend are clear, and Pro are translucent...maybe softer now. Comfort about equal to the old Voyager 510.Voice quality outbound = EXCELLENT, equal to Voyager Pro, WAAAAAAAAY better than Jawbone Icon, Motorola Silver Elite or Blue Ant Q2, all of which I have owned and used. You cannot beat a boom mic, period.Inbound and A2DP high volume = EXCELLENTAs new, easily plays podcast for a few hours and quite a few phone calls, and still reported (more voice feedback) "seven hours of talk time remaining". (Jawbone starts at five hours max.)Short charging cord is a big thumbs down. I like all the buttons and the simplicity of each having a dedicated function.

For those who have used the previous Voyager headsets, you know that Plantronics t makes the best headset, if you like the style with a microphone that goes along your face. I previously owned 3 other Voyager headsets and was very excited when this device was released. I purchased it along with a new iPhone 5 and decided that my new iPhone deserved the best bluetooth headset available. The device is very comfortable. The feature to auto answer when the phone is ringing by putting it in your ear is great. Also, the voice activated answer or ignore when the device is already in your ear works great. The volume on this device is the first bluetooth headset that I actually have to turn the volume down as it is actually too loud! This is great if you have ever taken a conference call for business where folks are in a room around a conference room phone and it is hard to hear. This device helps out a lot with that.Now for the downside. THE DEVICE IS COMPLETELY UNUSABLE WITH AN IPHONE 5. There are know problems with the compatibility and Plantronics seems to be blaming Apple and not really acknowledging the issue.When used with an iPhone 5, there are several known issues:-When making outgoing calls, the call sounds "robotic" to the person on the other end-The device will randomly mute the device so that the person on the other end cannot hear you-The device will often kick in to a mode where you hear a clipping noise during calls - this is unbearableMy rating is a 5 out of 5, ONLY IF YOU ARE NOT USING WITH AN IPHONE 5. My tests with other phones have proven this is an iPhone 5 only issue. I rate this a 0 out of 5 for folks who are expecting to use this with an iPhone 5.

If I could, I would give that this product 4.5. I like almost everything about it. This is probably my fourth different headset in the past three years. I use headsets because I am disabled and I can't hold the phone up to my ear and I can't tap a button every time I need to answer. So a headset like this one is very important to me. The sound quality is very good and I like the looks of it. This is the first "over the ear model" headset I've had and that part of the fit is very comfortable. I have always used a loop over my ear because I can't get any others to fit well enough to stay in. One of the things I don't like is the way it fits into your ear. You get three different sizes and they are all round. Well, Apple knows our ears are not round and indeed, these don't fit into my ear in the way I would like. A foam cover is available for the smaller two sizes but the biggest one fits my ear best so I stretched the medium size cover over the large size. It works pretty well but it's not perfect. I also concur with some of the other reviews that stated you must speak loudly to get it to answer the calls. And finally, while it does a good job of announcing callers into your contact list, it does not identify callers not on your contact lists at all. Other headsets I have had at least give you the number of an unfamiliar caller. All in all, I am pleased with this headset and I would recommend it to others with those caveats.

I've tried so many bluetooth headsets which always fall out of my ear! Tried to modify the units without any success. I finally tried the Legend and it fits!! With it's swivel positioning and the assorted ear covers, I have almost no idea I am wearing it. It is comfortable, doesn't irritate me. Manageable. Learning curve is low. Sounds great. I have had tried other companies (names withheld) who have top end reviews and products. I have to say specs on some were impressive as well as performance however they always fell out or off. Not good watching your bluetooth fade in your rear view mirror. I have very oily skin and it gets hot here in the San Diego area so sweating is very prevalent, therefore POP goes the headset. The only gripe I have is that my iphone and headset don't seem to get along. I always have to test the Legend to make sure it works correctly before leaving home but it sometimes changes settings on its own from headset to phone speaker. Nothing is 100% perfect. Road noise and wind still gets through on the freeway or at a mall but having tried a lot of top end devices, they too can't stop the noise. Having said that, I would recommend this unit on the grounds that it sounds, works, fits and feels as good as of better than most other units costing the same or more. (without falling out)

Let me get this out of the way first - sound quality and feature-wise, Plantronics gets high marks on this device. They have made great bluetooth headsets in the past and this one is no exception. Sound is crystal clear, pairing with my phone took about 10 seconds, and people that I spoke with over it did not realize that I was using a bluetooth. The other added features (although not something that I use - I'm an audio purist), including listening to music over the device, work just fine, but it's just like having HD video footage on a handheld camera - it's great as a backup when you need it, but don't rely on it as your primary device for these purposes.Where it bothers me IMMENSELY is in fit. I've tried the various ear pieces, with and without foam coverings, and this headset still feels like it doesn't want to sit on my head. Although it does stay in place, I still get the unnerving feeling that it's going to fall off at any moment and the twisting mechanism on the bluetooth has a habit of trying to press the mic into my cheek; sometimes the locking mechanism works, but other times as I'm turning the device on and off it has a habit of trying to relax itself into my right cheek again.That said, I will say that I do have a large head (7 7/8" hats feel uncomfortably tight on me), so I could be the exception rather than the rule. My personal experience, however, has me doubting that I will use this headset for extended travel since I don't want to be fiddling with it while driving. If it does fit you, however, high marks! However, I'd give the device a pretty good endurance test out of the box and see if it's your cup of tea; return it if you have doubts.

After reading so many negative reviews on this headset from folks with iPhone 5's I was very hesitant to order this. Not that I'm afraid to update the firmware but because I only have Apple computers in the house and the firmware will not work on a Mac.Great news: The Legend worked perfectly right out of the box with my iPhone 5! The sound seems slightly louder and clearer than my Voyager Pro+ (which is now my wife's).The pros: Every bit as comfortable as the previous Voyager. Even better battery life (6-7 hours of streaming audio or talk time!!) Crazy fast recharge timeThe cons: None for me. Sorry but the new magnetic charging doesn't bother me one bit. Reminds me of the MagSafe connector with my Macbook. Yes, I have to buy a new charging cable - oh well, not the end of the world. Just my opinion. I've spent a lot more money on things that didn't work nearly as well.I have not had the chance to try it out yet in a windy environment so I will post more when that takes place.Bottom line: if you're a fan of the Voyager lineup - this is the next step in the evolution of the series. I've tried many other headsets (Jabra and Blueant included) and overall, the Legend is my favorite for comfort and battery life. I am someone that listens to a LOT of streaming audio (far more than talking) so your mileage may vary.

I'm cursed with small ears, so that has been the only challenge with this Plantronics bluetooth headset. I rarely can wear my ipod earbuds because I have to get them positioned just right. My ear is just too small to comfortably hold them and they end up hurting after awhile. For this reason, I also can't do the bluetooth headsets that just sit in the ear, I need the ones that hook over. The only part of this particular headset I didn't love is that the back part over the ear is a bit big and tends to slip off, especially if I'm wearing sunglasses. It's not too heavy, in fact it's quite light, so if it was slimmer it'd probably hold better.So now that we know my issues are with my ear size, if you have regular ones, this is an awesome headset! Wonderful sound quality, I asked people often if they could hear me ok and no one knew I was on a headset at all. Walking on a windy day, I could hear the wind in my headset, but no one I was speaking with mentioned it. Paired up with my iphone 4GS in seconds, didn't have to tinker around with it at all. Great amount of talk time so I can just talk and talk. My iphone battery will die before this thing does. Easy to charge with a light charger, so it's not bulky to keep with me if I want to and I also like the magnetic connection. Nice distance, I've left my phone in one room and roamed around the house with no problem. I been using it to listen to Pandora when I walk the dog, and it has nice, clear and beautiful sound for music which surprised me! Definitely a keeper!

After my jawbone (sorry I don't remember the model number) went out after 2 years it was time for a upgrade. After much research I bought this and I am not disappointed! It fits great and what little weight there is sits behind your ear. The functions are GREAT! I love having actual power and mute buttons (no more holding one button down for a preset amount of time). All in all this is a awesome unit and I highly recommend it.I was very disappointed in the vocalyst functions (this does not effect the actual unit). The system does work for voice commands but when you hit the voice command button it dial a phone number to connect to the service to take your command, so you literately have to call a number to call a number.. I find it much easier to just hit the call log on my phone. Pros= light weight, great clarity, great design, long battery life, actual buttons!!!, nice accessory. Cons= Could be louder for me, it gets pretty loud but I could use one or two more levels then they give you. Vocalyst

Have been using it for about a month now... Got it to replace a Jawbone Noise Assassin 3.0 that lasted only six months. (Said Jawbone replaced a BlueAnt Q2 that lasted about the same.) This Plantronics doesn't sound half as good as the BlueAnt, but it works infinitely better than the Plantronics whatever-it-was that I returned three times before I gave up and got the BlueAnt!The Voyager Legend sounds OK, and the little boom stays in place. I say, "What" a whole lot more than I'd like, but people hear me quite well. It stays connected to my phone. It packs a lot of talk time relative to the use I make of it, and it holds a charge on standby for quite a while.On the other hand... Why, when so many have switched to micro USB, did Plantronics decide to go with this proprietary charging cable? Terribly inconvenient... Little buttons on earpiece are easily pressed and strangely non-ergonomic to navigate... Still, assuming that it keeps on keeping on, I would certainly recommend it (as I hope that it serves me as well as those Plantronics I used to use--all the way back, it seems, to a Motorola StarTac--if that's even possible).

Other reviewers are correct in their assessment of the Vocalist application. It sucks. It really does not work in any way that could be called even functional. So to that extent Plantronics has really overplayed their pitch. But drop that ap out of the picture and you have a very high end quality audio bluetooth device that does what it says it can do. I linked it to my HTC phone, allowed it to access my phone book, clicked the call button, said "call wife" and it put the call through. She assessed the voice quality to be better than any other she had heard, including using the phone with no bluetooth. And she was the clearest I have heard on any phone call. So I got what was most important to me, better call quality and a reasonable set of voice commands. I wish it would read my email for me, and send text messages from my voice, but no, perhaps the next version. For now the "legend" is a rather limited story. So evaluate your needs and compare them to the Legend sans the Vocalist and your expectations might be met.

This Plantronics Voyager Legend has been attached to my ear since the moment it arrived at my door. I use this as both my daily personal bluetooth headset as well as at my workplace answering phones and working customer service lines for a large e-commerce company.I have very small ears with very small ear canals. I've NEVER had earbuds or bluetooth units that sat well in my ears until the Plantronics Voyager line came around. I'm a huge fan of the interchangeable ear buds, both the soft rubber of the older Voyagers and the more firm, clear, plastic buds on this Legend. Oh and yes, they are interchangeable.Yes, the charging cable is proprietary and yes, it is short, but it charges my bluetooth faster than the regular chargers ever charged my old Voyager Pro Plus HD.I don't use the Vocalyst app other than to have it tell me who is calling from my contacts. Playing music through the earpiece is seamless during the switch over to phone calls.If you're questioning whether it's worth the $$, the answer is a resounding yes!

I've owned three Plantronics headsets in the past, but this one is my favorite. The original Voyager was great for me as it was so comfortable and the battery life was so long. Then, I put it in my pocket and crushed it while working. I replaced that with a rather expensive "stereo" headset that allows you to plug in a right ear piece to listen to music in stereo. The music was great on the headset but it wouldn't hold a charge as long or stay on my ear. I saw the Pro get released and purchased one. Didn't like the sound quality of it though and returned it that day. Now I own the Legend, and it works great. I purchased a charging case to go with it and with how much I use my phone I'll never be caught without power for my headset. Sound quality is great, battery life is great, and I can leave it on my head and forget it's there. If I break it I'll likely buy another unless Plantronics releases another Voyager. I should also mention I've purchased many different headsets from other manufactures, and I've hated them all for sound quality, battery life and most of all, comfort.

If you cannot use one of the "in the ear" models either because it won't fit or you are too active and it keeps falling out this is the unit for you. Very secure fit over the ear yet does not interfere with glasses. Excellent volume and I get no complaints about not being able to be heard. Seems very resistant to wind noise, at least I have had no complaints about that either. Using with a Samsung Note II and it is able to sync contacts so it can announce the callers name if it is in your contacts. Flexible configuration choices and easy to set up via USB connection to your computer using a plug-in to your browser. Can ask if you want to accept or reject a call, this has worked very well for me. Claims to be water resistant (not waterproof!) but I cannot say, have not used in rain or snow yet! On unit controls are easy to find and use, overall I am finally happy with a Bluetooth headset!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am using this headset with an iPhone 5 and I was about to send it back after many people told me they had problems hearing me. I did some research and noticed there was a firmware upgrade for the Voyager Legend. I had firmware 38 and the new firmware as of 12/31/2012 is 44. The firmware is PC only but I have read that if you do not have a PC you can send the unit to Plantronics and they will ship you an updated version of the Voyager Legend. After upgrading to the new firmware and testing it out I have had many people tell me it sounds great.Count me in as another who really likes the magnetic charger, I just wish the cable was longer. I bought the charger stand and it seems to be very high quality with a good bit of weight to keep it from sliding around on the table.So far I'm really liking this headset, I just have to get used to a headset that fits into your ear as I normally use a Motorola H730 headset which just sits over your ear.

When this worked, callers reported some of the best clarity they'd heard from me. The rest of the time (50%) they could only hear half of what I was saying.Here's the deal:When I called Plantronics about this the first question I got was, "Are you using an iPhone 5?" The tech claimed there was a known issue with the iPhone 5 and they were working on a fix, but in the mean time I could down load a firmware patch for the headset.The patch which is supposed to make it work on an Apple phone is only installable from a computer running WINDOWS.Okay. Fair enough. Borrowed a laptop. Installed the patch. Tested it with a friend and the problem had not been fixed.Plantronics offered to exchange the unit for another one. But if I'd done that and it too had been affected by this issue, which the tech admitted plagued this unit (one assumes every example of this unit) then I would not have been able to get a refund because, he said, "Plantronics does not issue refunds."So it's in a box going back to Amazon.So: Plantronics: One Star. Amazon: Five stars.FWIW: I've just gotten an LG HBS 730, which in addition to being a stereo headset and separating functions into more hardware buttons (always a plus), makes consistently intelligible connections.Good luck.

i am one that feels uncomfortable holding the phone to my ear. I MUST use a bluetooth headset. Hands free all the way !Over the years i have had many headsets, each claiming to be the best. I have at least 4 different Plantronics units, jawbone, blue ant, and Motorola to name a few. My last unit was the Voyager Pro which served me well except for the charging socket wearing out in time and rendering the unit useless. The new magnetic charger socket on the Legend hopefully will solve that problem. No more friction to wear out the socket.My new Galaxy Note 2 phone is large. The Legend voice answer / reject feature, is perfect for this phone. 7 hour battery life and voice saying the talk time remaining isw also a plus.. I am getting better range compared to the Voyager Pro. Sound quality / noise filtering is also a winner. Comfortable to wear with glasses, this is the BEST bluetooth heads it ever used.Thank you Plantronics !

First of all i have to say that charging time its amazing, i will take for about 20 to 30 minutes tops to completely charge it, and the most important thing is that you get up to 7 talking hours.it is also very useful in the way that it can be configured with more than one cell phone.Connectivity with my cell phone its very easy.The reach is also something remarkable, you can be easily 5 meters away from your cell phone and you won't lose connectiity.I need to mention also that it is very confortable and nice looking device, my friends at job have told me where did i get this "Robocop" device, it really looks very sophisticated and modern.But bottom line if you want a confortable, handy, efficient and convenient hands free device this could be what you are looking for.

phenomenal Bluetooth however (and it just might be me) works great while I'm driving, at home, it's just when I come to work in the city and I'm using the Bluetooth the person I'm talking to sounds like they're cutting off or they sound like a robot (could be an interference?! I don't know) I had the past Voyager 510 worked great! As well the voyager pro also worked great! This one however I'd say 75% of the time I'm using it works great! The other 25% just when I'm in the city. Hopefully this is an issue with firmware and can be fixed in a future update... (Reason for my 4 star rate)Regardless of the issue I will still continue to purchase Plantronics headsets over there competitors! They are the best Bluetooth I've ever owned.

I've used several Plantronics Bluetooth Headsets - most recently Voyager HD - and each one offers slight improvements on the last.What I like about Voyager Legend:- improved battery life. Up to 7 hours of talk time and 11 days of standby- very light, comfortable design. Comes with 3 sizes of silicone eartips and 2 foam eartip covers. The speaker piece is much sturdy than with previous models that had a bulb that could be easily bent or broken.- finally a Bluetooth with a MUTE button!- every Bluetooth claims to reduce outside noise - I found the Legend to be adequate in this departmentCons:- Range - at 33 feet, it leaves much to be desired. I recently tried the Motorola H19txt and it had a range of 300 feet- Vocalyst service is only free for the first year, so you'll have to pony up $24.99 a year if you want to continue using it- The charger is different from what I've ever seen on other Bluetooth models. I've always been able to charge my headsets with a mini USB and now it's a hassle to carry around an extra cord.- The voice commands are iffy. I could easily speak at a regular volume when talking to people, but had to yell for the Bluetooth to understand my commands.

Good battery life, comfortable, sounds good, good noise suppression. The only thing I don't like about it is Plantronics installed their own voice command system, which precludes the Google voice search commands on my Android phone and is badly crippled to try to induce users to subscribe to their Vocalyst service, one of the lamest things I've ever seen. Once in awhile I have to tell it twice to answer a call, but most of the time it's pretty cooperative. The controls are in handy places and it takes all of about a minute to learn how to use everything on it. It's firmware and configuration are updatable by USB connection, which is a pretty big plus. I'd give it five stars if I could kill their voice commands and just use Google's, because their voice commands don't include "redial" or dialing a contact by voice without the Vocalyst subscription.

I know there are many one star reviews, and most of them were because of the problems with iPhone 5. I have to say they are all true and the Legend had many issues with iPhone 5. Plantronics released a firmware update on 11/1/2012, which resolved all these issue. Even the quality of the sound is far better that what it used to be. ITS Really AMAZING NOW :)As for the magnetic charger, I understand that we prefer to use standard micro-usb as its available everywhere, but to be honest, I like this magnetic charger much more. The ability to connect it with one hand and snapping in, worth "at least for me" much more than getting it as micro-usb. In addition, I really don't charge it more than once per day.Since I am already using two phones, I just bought another one for the office as well, I want to connect it to my computer and the office landline.If you buy the headset now, make sure you update it to the latest firmware( which is currenly 44). Don't update it one OS x using any VMs software, it didn't work for me. Try to do the update using a PC

Update after a few days of use.Good call quality - Check - Update: Excellent Call Quality and noise filtering.Loose fitting and not adjustable but comfortable - CheckProprietary charger with an 8-inch wire replacing universal one (really, seroiusly?) - CheckUpdate: I see that there is an adapter on the plantroics website for the magnetic plug to mini USB for 10.00. It doesn't look like it is available yet on Amazon or Plantronics.Headset unwearable while charging unlike previous ones - Check Update: If the adapter works and doesn't pull the magnetic plug off due to the weight of the wire, it should be good. I suspect the weight of the wire will pull the plug off and not allow the headset to be worn while charging.Unnessary voice control features and caller name announcement.. MEH! - CheckTries to read names off address book... Christine is pronounced as ShisineThe ear detect feature is a nice touch. It allows switching between headset and handset very easily.The new mute button is very good.At the end of the day, this is still one of the best BT Headsets out there. I think with the charger adapter, this should mitigate complaints about the proprietary magnetic plug.

This is the most expensive headset I have owned so naturally, it should be the best performing. Hands down, it is. It is the most comfortable, consistently performing, easy to use headset I have ever had.Sound quality is excellent for calls and streaming audio.Very very few complaints from others saying they can't hear me.About 6 hours of talk time on a full charge.I love the auto-detect feature that automatically routes calls from my phone to the headset when I put the headset on. This feature is brilliant. I also love the lovely female voice that tells me how much talk time I have left when I turn the unit on. The headset also has a voice-command suite of its own, but I haven't used it beyond basic testing (which went well).While the headset is on the larger size compared to other units I have owned, I don't find it to be heavy at all. Unlike some of the smaller headsets I have, this one never leaves me ear feeling pinched.Overall, nice purchase. I would recommend.Thanks for reading, I hope this review was helpful!

The Voyager Legend is the first new Bluetooth headset I have used since 2007 and it's quite an improvement over what I was expecting.PAIRING---Pairing with my android phone worked in less than a minute with no code to type in.---I had more trouble with my blackberry because it wanted a code that wasn't listed in the documentation, but I found the answer on the Plantronics website. It's "0000" in case you run into the same trouble.FUNCTIONS---I like the voice commands that I had never used before and worked better than I was expecting.---It has a mute function although I don't tend to use it fearing my private thoughts will get through anyway.---What I like most is the ability to play podcasts from my phones back to the headset. This was something I assumed my old device would do and I was sadly disappointed when it wouldn't work back then.---I was able to walk more than 30 ft from my blackberry while still hearing the podcast. It only started to breakup when I went into other rooms and had to deal with blocking walls.BOTTOM LINEI'm happy with the Voyager Legend and have immediately retired my old headset.

Bought this hoping to use between my desktop and mobile phone as a VOIP headset and bluetooth headset. Read the fine print, or lack thereof. This model DOES NOT work on a laptop, even though you can pair it, see it, and every other indicator seems to work fine, none of your software will pick it up as a headset. Not Skype, Not Lync not anything else.For that capability, according to the guy at technical support I talked to, you MUST have the USB dongle version for this to work.Bottom line: If you need seamless voice between laptop and phone, don't get this Bluetooth only version.

Very comfortable on the ear. I can wear it almost all day and forget that its on my ear. I never get complaints from anyone stating there is noise in the background. I can hold a conversation even in the wind and not get complaints. I can hear very clear with this earpiece, and the push of 1 button allows me to voice dial. I like the feature that I can answer an incoming call without touching the headset. Sometimes, it will disconnect from my Iphone, but not frequently. With this headset you can choose between identifying any call (with the phone number) or identifying a call via your contacts list. So if a caller isn't in your contacts list, you will simply get "Incoming call, Answer or ignore". I wish it would identify all calls. Luckily I have more people calling from my contacts list than not. No disappointments here!

Ok, when I received it, they seemed to be kidding when the charger was propritary. UGH.... That's what was wrong with my last plantronics device. This is my 4th one from plantronics. 2 of them had mini usb chargers, same as my android phone, have a specific charger really makes it hard when a 6 hour talk time goes down just in standby on day two.Really the fit, and people that I speak with on the phone state it sounds fantastic. I have always hated it when people say they can't hear me, so with the plantronics, it never seems to go wrong.

The product is good but it is have a disadvantage points :-Note : All these Disadvantages after the latest firmware update 44 .* On My Galaxy S3 , the Headset disconnected from time to time especially with long stand by mode . We should see nothing like this in such a well known company products. right ??* It has not connected to 2nd generation Nokia phones , Either to iPhone 3G ? WHY ?!!* I also bought the Voyager Bluetooth HD ( Previous Version ) Looks to me it works better than this one . even Some voice command feature But loss for many Essential features .* Short USB cable , With no separated cable for charger like "Voyager Pro HD" Because we need length in charger cable Not USB cable.* Some issues came with car kit charger some are not , WHY ?ThanksGood luck

I had a Jawbone Era and found it fairly uncomfortable and the audio slightly disappointing. I looked at the old Voyagers, but they just seemed so big. I picked up this new smaller Voyager Legend and really like it. It has all day comfort and great sound. The Era's accelerometer was a seemed cool, but really didn't do anything special. I much prefer the functionality of the sensors on the Voyager that can turn it on and off based on whether or not you are wearing it - very handy. The magnetic charging connection is also quite slick. The sound has been very good. My favorite headset to date and I've owned a half dozen or so.

I've owned 3 Plantronics bluetooth headsets in the past and found their quality and functionality well above par, so I was excited to receive this one. It has good sound, is easy to use, and boasts some spiffy new features, but unlike every other bluetooth I've ever owned (almost a dozen total from 3 different brands), it requires a proprietary charger. The flimsy cord provided with the headset is about 8" long. It can be attached to a plug in adapter or attached to your PC, but either way the length is ridiculously short. I could spend another $29 (plus shipping) to buy a charging case (which appears to run on batteries), available only from Plantronics' website as of this review, but don't feel the hassle is worth not being able to use any of my existing equipment. Since the headset is only useful while charged, and my experience is that the 7 hour talk time is a somewhat optimistic, I'm far less than impressed. Wouldn't recommend this to an enemy, let alone to a friend. Save your money.

I went through several BT headsets before I found this one. And once I got this one and used it for the first time it was a huge relief. It is very comfortable, barely even notice its there (as long as you have the foam cover over the gel earpiece) the gel by itself can make your inner ear a bit tender after a few hours. Battery life is awesome and I personally prefer the magnetic connector charger; you got have to fight it try to figure out which way it plugs in, you just get it close and it plugs itself in. Bluetooth range is acceptable (average or slightly above average) Outgoing call quality and noise cancelling are near perfect, you always come through loud and clear no matter what's going on around you. Although when it starts to get real windy you tend to get drowned out. But the overall incoming call quality is good. To sum it up its a great bluetooth even for the price.

I've been a headphone junkie before Bluetooth cut its first tooth. I've used one of Plantronics cordless headphones for my office phone for years and have been amazed with the quality. So I'm not the least bit surprised that the Voyager Legend lives up to my every expectation when I found myself in search of a comfortable, easy-to-use, Bluetooth headset that had exceptional sound clarity and didn't require a Masters degree to operate. I love the way that the small, magnetic charger sits discreetly out of the way on my desk. I love how all I have to do is place the earpiece on my ear when my phone rings and it "knows" to answer the phone. I love the way no one has the slightest idea I'm using a headset when I spend countless hours on the telephones each and every day. In short, I love the new Voyager Legend. It's everything a Bluetooth headset ought to be and more!

Love this headset, great sound quality. I am a busy guy, and I treat it terribly - cram it in my pockets, drain the batteries completely, and it works great.Here is the thing. I accidentally put it through the WASH and the DRYER. I was bummed because I really liked this headset. But after recharging, it worked again just like new. It's rare to get a reliable, durable product these days, and this is one of them.Buy this.

I've been using a Plantronics Voyager Pro for a couple of years and just tried the Legend for the past week with an iPhone 4S and I have to see I see quite a few improvements. No one has mentioned any problems with hearing me with this headset, the sound is incredible and I love that I can use it to listen to music between calls. The speak a name logic is actually pretty good since I have a very large contact list it's great that I don't have to assign distinct ringtones or have to look at my phone and with my deep voice, it still answers when I say "answer". The only thing I was a bit taken back by was the switches, one for power and one for volume. But I have come to like it, there is no holding or wondering if it's gonna turn on, it's an obvious switch and the voice announcement is the confirmation. I actually think the switch is the best choice for those functions. This is the best headset I've owned and I go through them.

Have owned the Voyager 510, Voyager Pro HD and now the Legend. It is arguably the best bluetooth available IMO. I've also owned the BlueAnt T1, and Q2 as well as the Aliph Icon HD and Era for reference.Today I did several tests between my Pro HD and the Legend. Both are excellent in just about every aspect. Sound quality is excellent and clear. The HD is a little bit louder but that could change with a firmware update. The Legend is a little bit clearer and more "crisp". On the other end they both sound fantastic. Both are clear and loud. The Legend is definitely better with wind cancellation, no question. At 55mph with the window all the way down, you can not hear the wind AT ALL on my test voicemails.With better battery life, 25% reduction in size, volume toggle, slide power button and dedicated mute button combined with equal to better sound and voice quality, this is a worthy upgrade to the HD and worth the money.

This is my 4h day with this product, I purchased it for use with my business phone and my cell out of the office. The noise canceling is spot on I was standing out side LAX yesterday with the noisy buses and my employee couldn't hear a thing... WOW. I didnt give it five stars because of the charger and the fact it irritates my ear a big because I have small ears. Overall so far very satisfied. Im not a paid reviewer and I purchased this on amazon

My Voyager Legend bought in Dec '12, started dropping audio on my iPhone 5 web after the IOS 6.1 Apple software update. According Plantronics tech support so it probably needs a firmware update .HOWEVER, Plantronics does not support updates through OSX computers., only Windows computers.I would not have bought the Plantronics Legend if I had known this.Tech support says they are working on supporting OSX but no known date for implementation.

I've been a big fan of Plantronics Bluetooth headsets (Voyager, Voyager Pro, and Voyager Pro HD).So when the Legend came out, I bought it (even though I don't need another headset). I do really like the mechanical switches for power and volume, and the voice commands are cool.Unfortunately, it has two problems which make it a huge disappointment for me:1. It uses a propriety charging port, so no more charging with standard Micro USB hardware. This is a huge step backwards.2. The Audio Quality with the iPhone 5 is horrible, making the headset unusable for iPhone 5 owners. I contacted Plantronics about it, and they say they are aware of it but claim it's Apples problem. They say it's widely discussed on the Apple forums, and refer you to [...] but when you ask them for a specific thread reference they can't provide it.Stick with Pro HD for now.

I bought these in September, It is now Febuary and I couldn't recharge the earpiece. I called Plantronics and they replaced the unit very fast. I found out while waiting that the charger and unit are both magnetic, and metal shavings had gotten into the slot where charger attaches. I used a magnifying glass to see that and a small screwdriver to clean it out. Still works well

With all the great reviews about the much improved design over the previous voyagers (which are still in my drawer, unfortunately) I decided to give this one a try.As others have mentioned the proprietary charging connector in a time where everyone else has gone MicroUSB is a major design letdown. But I was willing to give it a pass mark, *if* all else would perform as advertized.Sadly however, the earphone volume level is low with three headsets I tried pairing it (GSM Gnexus, Droid 4 and Gallaxy III). The plantronics 'Find my headset' app kept FC'ing on the GNex as well. Sound was crackling even at 3 feet away, though the callers were registering clear conversation on the other end.YMMV, of course but for yours truly (with over 75 headsets purchased in the last 10 years) it's back to the loud, large speaker of the Jabra Supreme (and no, this is not a plug - this has its' drawbacks too).

I have owned the last two versions of this headset and this one is even better. The only item that is a bit of ding but not enough to take down a star is the unique charger adapter. I love carrying one cord to charge several devices so having to carry one additional is a bit of pain. The charges do last long.Integrates well with my Iphone 5. I primarily use this headset to listen to audio books and of course the occasional phone call. Pairing and use was easy. I do like the new improved button controls.

i looove my new Bluetooth! it came on the date it was supposed to. it really fits in your ear, doesnt fall out. Stays charged for a long time, yesterday about three hours after i took it off the charger i still had 6 out 7 hours left!! you should get the charging case too. sooo impressed with plantronics

This device is perfect it does everything imaginable, answers the phone ,lets you return text messages by speaking it , lets you know when you are disconnected because you've walked out of range , music and audio streams greatly through headset, love the charging application,its just. Amazing all that it can do, well worth 99.00.

This was my third attempt at a blue tooth ear piece and it is amazing. I drive a semi for a living and it is very louid. The people on the other end say that they can not hear any back ground noise at all even when I have my window rolled down a few inches.Looking at the ear piece it looks huge but in fact it is very comfortable to wear.

It is a great bluetooth, that is why I always buy Plantronics Voyager models. The downside to this one compared to the Pro+ is 2 things. 1) Wind noise, not as good. 2) Disconnects when I'm not that far from the phone.. On the plus side. 1) The battery definitely lasts longer. 2) Has a wonderful docking station as an option. 3) Love the voice commands.. Keep trying Plantronics, you'll be the KING!

Sound quality it great . Fit is good I have small ears but it stays on pretty good it is kind hard to wear my sunglasses at the same time but if you ajust it right it wil fit one thing that I dont like is the answer ignore feature when driving I have to almost scream for it to hear meto answer or ignore the call
