great phone big screen nice camera updated to lumia cyan as soon as I received it works all ok. it is a Hong Kong phone but is sim free and works on EE 4g in the UK with no problems it is the RM-937 international version with 32gb and wireless charging

After just 9 months with a plasticky Samsung and Android OS I was missing a Nokia Windows phone (I had a Lumia 800 before) so I decided to buy the 1520.
It is a big phone, but after a couple of days you get used to it and actually, the large screen makes windows 8 look fantastic and even more user-friendly.
There is an update coming (WP8.1) which improves the calendar, notifications, marketplace and you can download it safely already,visit wpcentral.com and search for 'preview for developers' - well worth it.
I'm loving this phone already and highly recommend it.
P.S. make sure you get a nano-SIM from you service provider, micro-SIM will not fit.

This phone is unbelievable, it's fast and super responsive and works great with Windows phone 8.1. Screen is perfect but a little sensitive to fingerprints. There's a load more applications that people think there are inviting Nokia pro cam. The most amazing application ever! This camera can take stunning photos. The headphones that are included are ok but a little uncomfortable so I would recommend a pair of Apple headphones. The Nokia flip case is a must have with this phone and looks brilliant with the wireless charging plate. Perfect with 4G. Grab one of these before and even better Lumia comes out.

I am really happy with my purchase... At first i found it quite difficult to use the phone as i was an iphone user, as the days went on and I got used to the phone. I have no regrets leaving iphone, the Nokia Lumia's picture quality is fantastic.
I am really happy that i bought it from Amazon as i bought the phone for fantastic price, had i bought this phone from Carphone Warehouse I would have had to pay £599. I phone was a brand new phone and i received it within 3 days after placing my order.

Without a doubt the best phone I have ever owned. Fantastic battery life, the display is stunning and the camera is fantastic.
Solidly built, a great choice of apps and it is quick and a joy to use.
I am one of the grumpiest people alive so my good praise does not come lightly.

As a Windows Phone fan I have to say this is absolutely by far the best mobile EVER!
The screen is just insanely amazing!
The phone is extremely powerful and there is no delay when opening apps
The battery life surprised me, it last for ages! I thought it would be a bad battery life considering how big the screen and processor are, but it lasts for ever!
Love the option to add an SD card for extra storage
It has wireless charging!! Very handy!
The camera is wonderful, no words can describe how stunning it is!
Well done Nokia & Microsoft on making such an amazing phone!!

Overall its not bad...well touch screen sucks it can drive u mad some time as it registers scroll as tap quite offen.and windows aap store is beyond hopeless its like junk yard.

It took me a while to bite the bullet and get this phone mainly because of some reviews relating to its size. Having seen the 1320 in a phone shop I thought the size wasn't too bad. Wow!! the phone is really sweet. There is no need to repeat what others have said but it is really difficult going back to my Lumia 900, which has served me well, but I still have to use it for calls until I get my number transferred. For me, the 1520 is the way to go. A happy user.

The Nokia 1520 is a great phone, trouble is, Windows Phone 8 is a very poor OS for someome coming over from either Android or iOS.
The battery is phenomenal, lasting a good 2 and a half days with light use. The handset is huge though, and not for anyone with small hands.
But, as I said, WP8 is awful and spoils a fantastic phone. Its live tiles are great, highly customisable and very nice visually, but it doesnt have many apps, its internet browser is ugly and frustrating and pulling up phone contacts is a chore if youre someone with alot of friends on facebook, since it lumps ALL contacts in as one.
All in all id only recommend the phone to people who either like or dont mind Windows Phone.

The phone comes from Hong Kong, which really isn't a problem as during initial setup you can change to English.
The one works very well on windows 8.1 preview (developer), all my apps run smoothly the camera is awesome in dark areas and phenomenal quality pictures.
6" is not small but not a problem for fitting in jean pockets in the case i bought with it.
Max battery life - hardly any calls or text is 3 days, however using functions 1 day.
I would suggest this product promptly!

I think am the happiest guy at the moment,this far far the best smartphone ive bought .I hv used almost all typesof smartphones but this is so far the best.Screen is as clear as crystal,huge internal memory in addition to external memory up to 64gb.The camera is excellent with crystal clear pictures ,phone never freezes and am really happy.

It's a Windows Phone and I like those, and this is a big one. Without doubt it's larger than you'd like when using as a telephone but for everything else the size is great. It's a beast, I tell you.
Solid, good camera, terrific screen. Wireless charging is fabulous and the thing just managed to last all weekend from a charge on Friday, even with my young son playing games on it.

The phone is huge, but then after 2 weeks i just find it normal, i am evening finding the 5 inch phones to be too small for my liking. The full HD screen is pure quality, camera is fine( i hope i will find it even better if i get accustomed to the camera app), no lags, sound is good and playing games or watching HD videos on this thing is just amazing. Now am just waiting for the windows 8.1 update to blow my mind-hehe!

Came from an Android phone I'd had enough of. Always crashing, crap battery etc.
This thing is amazing, and just works.
The screen is fantastic for watching video, and the right size for it to feel natural. The other thing that makes this a great video device is the speaker quality. They go LOUD.
Obviously it is a big phone, towards the upper limit of what is usable. It just fits in my trouser pocket.
Of course WP8 is still maturing and you will have to live without apps you've been used to on Android, but in my view the UX is a fair bit better.

Set up following the on phone guide and updated to Windows Phone 8.1 developers preview.
Only problem, which was down to me, is that I did not insert the sim card before seting up and when I did after completion it was not recognised untillI switched off and restarted phone and all OK. Tried an O2 and an EE sim, both work fine.
Now for the fun part puting all the extras in.

Now rocking WP8.1 this phone is just briliant, screen is a bit overly sensitive when scrolling and often mistakes scrolling for input, maybe Nokia will fix that issue???

I buy a phablet because I want a screen that can display more information. I don't buy a phablet because I want big fonts, big buttons, big icons. I'm not blind!!!! What's the point in having a phone than can't fit your jeans pocket anymore when it can display just as much information as a small phone (but 3x zoomed).
I own a tablet running windows 8.1 and I absolutely love it. I think in some areas it's better then the iPad (which I also own). Phone, however is a different story.
That being said, I admit the hardware is top-notch. I cannot say anything bad about it. Hardware good, software bad.

Excellent phone, battery last up to two days with wifi, 3G, bluetooth always on. Coming from android i almost found every application I had and some new ones.

I had a Lumia 900 (WP 7.8) before that one and I must say that I'm thrilled with the 1520 ! My main concern before receiving it was the size, and it's true that the phone is really BIG, but you get used to it quite quickly. WP8 is a real improvement to the OS, and with 8.1 coming, it's going to be even better !

I went from my Samsung note which failed after 14 months, to a 520 the lowest spec windows phone and i liked it but i decided to opt for the behemoth 1520 and i am so glad. I cannot stop playing with it i just have to keep using it, so much so im going to start developing software for it!
there are plenty of apps and there is nothing i cannot do....except watch sky go. And that i don't care about.
this phone is far better than anything I've ever used ill never leave unless something better comes out ;)
windows 8.1 is due later this year and it can only make it better.
