Exactly as pictured
I only bought the phone fir consumer cellular since the towers recently went down and certain phonea do not work anymore. This phone is supposed to be compatable but when i took into get it switched over and turned on i was told its not and i wasted my money.

*****UPDATE***** THIS PHONE WILL NOT WORK WITH PURETALK USA NOW THAT THEY HAVE CHANGED OVER TO 4G-5G. PURETALK USES AT&T AND IT DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS MODEL EVEN THOUGH PURETALK TOLD US IT WOULD. WE LOST ALL OUR MINUTES AND CLOSED ACCOUNT. CAN'T KEEP BUYING A NEW PHONE, THIS WAS OUR 3rd WITH ALL THE CHANGES BEING MADE BECAUSE OF THE 5G SWITCH OVER. *****THE PHONE WAS NOT A PROBLEM, IT WAS PURETALK USA*****
This is really a "spare" phone for my wife and I. We had to upgrade to 4g, because our carrier was not going to carry 3g anymore. Good price, good size. My only complaint, is it seems like the battery runs out quickly, and this phone is never used, just an "emergency" phone. It will be fully charged in the morning, and about half full at the end of the day. Other than that, it's great.

Frustrating to use
I got this so I didn't have to have a smartphone, so in the sense that it's helped me completely break any desire I have to look at or use my phone, it's been a success.
The phone is completely incapable of handling group messages, but that's not really news to anybody looking at one of these.
I'm on T-Mobile and have the weird time zone issues. I suspect this has to do with T-Mobile's SMS configuration specifically, but can't tell for sure. The only thing that works to get messages to be ordered correctly is to turn off 4G.
Still better than being enslaved to a smartphone.

Wanted to love this
I’ve been looking for a phone where I can just text with T9 and that’s it. I figured this one would be good for the price. Well, I used it for a couple hours and had to return it. First of all, the time only appears on the Lock Screen so if you’re doing something, you can’t see what time it is. Second, I have T-Mobile and it seemed to work fine but within a few minutes I would go from 4 bars to no service. It was like it wasn’t reading the sim. This happened on and off every few minutes to the point where I was too annoyed to keep texting. The service didn’t stay long enough to send a text after a while. Lastly, I knew there was a timestamp issue and although you can fix it, using the steps in another comment on here, it made the internet on it stop working. Disappointed. I can’t believe there’s not a cheap dumb phone in 2022 that works.

Phone ok but text times off
I tried to cut the cord but in the end had to go back to my ols smart phone.
Texting its a pain w these kinds of phones, you def need a keypad that being the main reason why I'm back to smart phones.
The text times are super goofy, I tried changing the settings as some reviewers described but no luck.
You get 1 picture as text from anybody and memory is full lol. You can ad a memory card thou.

Would have been a good phone, but fell short.
The texts to every individual are grouped together, not in individual messages like classic dumb phones. And when those messages are shown in that conversation style, all of the sender's messages are grouped at the top, and all of my messages are grouped at the bottom. So I have to scroll up through every message I've sent that person to see what their response.
There's no predictive text, so you're stuck with the classic T9 mode.
I was unable to add contacts; every time I tried, it kept spinning and then timed out. I may be looking for a dumb phone but that doesn't mean I want to go back to the days of remembering everyone's phone numbers.
There is no volume button on the side to adjust the volume of the call you are on.
Mine came with a European charging cable and I live in the USA.

(The last two dumb phones I tried only gave the options of: all lowercase, ALL UPPERCASE, Or The First Letter Capitalized.) I used this phone for a day and gave up on it. It's getting returned.

Overall satisfaction with the phone, but since this month, there is no signal, the phone can't be used, and I don't know how to return it. I'm very helpless.

GREAT KIDS PHONE / TELLO COMPATIBLE
We had an issue right away. Every time I tried to open the contacts tab, the phone just showed a rotating circle that saying "working on it". I contacted tech support and they advised me to hold the power button and the down navigate at the same time to do a soft reboot and it fixed it. No further issues. It's perfect for our kids to use a cheap plan on Tello for only 11.00 a month.

Nokia 225 unlocked 4g
Easy to use as a secondary work phone. Simple, basic and practical.
I just switched my sim card to this one and it worked instantly!
You don't need to pay a fortune to get the basics of a cellphone.

Not the best for the price
I think you can get a better phone in Walmart for the same price. This phone has couple of problems that everyone mentioned. For me the worst part is that the battery doesn’t last over a day. It says that it should last 30 days and it dies even if it’s not even being used. Its still useable.

Great phone but I can't receive calls.
I can send and receive texts and I can call other people. But calls to me always go to voicemail. I'm only using this for backup while my main phone is being repaired so I'm not going to take the trouble to return it. If anyone calls me and it is important they can leave voicemail. I've contacted my carrier and they might be able to fix something on their end.

Works well with T-Mobile
Purchased to replace a similar 3G phone when T-Mobile was preparing to shut down their 3G network. Good value for a basic phone for voice calls and texting. Don't need and haven't tried any of the other added features. Works well with T-Mobile.

I bought one for my mom. I wanted something simple. The phone's date and time are always off. My mom has trouble using it. She doesn't know how to troubleshoot it. Because the date and time are always off she never knows when she has a current missed call.

Buyer Beware, Phone May Not be Able to Make Calls
I bought one of these Nokia 225 phones recently for personal use with Tracfone. At first, it seemed that it would be a good replacement for a smartphone, I was able to make calls from my home with no issue, something that I cared about as I live in a dead zone.
However, after having spent time travelling and trying to make calls, I can say that this device rarely is able to connect to another line correctly. It will start to dial out, with no ringtone, shortly before cancelling the call. The messaging app is also hard to use, as it doesn't show the last message posted, but rather tries to group messages by sender. This means that if you want to see the last reply, you have to scroll up until you find it.
Strongly not recommended, I probably will try a different model phone soon. Very disappointing.

Perfect for my Son in middle school.
Phone works great in Tmobile service area. Surprisingly phone has survived a 13 year old so far. Can't say the same for his previous smartphones.
Purchased this because my sons grades are terrible. So we used this to motivate my son to get better grades since his smartphone was distracting him. His grades have greatly improved. Funny part is other parents have threaten there kids to do the same thing and they have told me that there kids are now scarred it will happen.

Good phone, not good for senior citizens.
The phone works just fine and is a great value for the product itself. Only issue is the senior who the phone was for has a hard time unlocking the phone because of the safety feature stopping the buttons from being pressed while in a pocket or such.

Preinstalled with Facebook. Apps Cannot be Deleted.
I really wanted a nice clean dumbphone to start fresh. Seems like these days that is too much to ask. I morally and philosophically detest Facebook and now I have a phone with an unremovable app that is probably collecting data on me. For the cheap price of this phone I will throw it in the trash before I use it.
