Replaced an earlier model of this Nikon CoolPix camera when the lens extension/retraction mechanism went Tango Uniform. Amazed at all the new features yet it's still simple to use and produces excellent images.

Although I haven't used it a lot, due to my forgetfulness, the pictures that I have taken are very nice.

I notified PlatinumBuys on my 1st purchase of camera being totally dead. I sent camera back to seller and within 8 days I had a brand new camera that worked great. Thank you for your fine service. I love the camera however, within 2 months the battery was completely dead and not taking a charge. I only used the camera a dozen times and charged it once. It will cost me another $40 for a replacement battery.

I bought this camera to take pictures of my children.....but the shutter lag is so bad that I barely catch smiles and/or them even looking at the camera! I even tried taking it out with friends for my birthday and it felt like we had to hold smiles for a full 10 seconds before the picture actually snapped! it's not a bad price but not worth the trouble...I put it up and went back to using my old camera!

The quality of images is excellent, it is easy to handle it, the battery lasts for days, the different options for color is fantastic and it has a very good size, easy to carry on.

Resolution (max 16M) is good.
I wanted HD video and pictures, and this works very well for the purpose.
It is very easy to use and the touch screen is wide and big enough
to handle touches.
Finally, connecting to PC is direct and easy.
As a secondary portable camera, I want to recommend this !!

I chose 4 stars because there is always room for improvement in anything a person purchases. Therefore 4 stars to me means way above average. I like this camera I bought for my wife for the ease of use and pretty much mistake proof use. It is very easy to meander through the menu(the icons could really be replaced by words though) by scrolling through the icons until you find what you need. A great camera so far. The touch screen is a plus. Time remains to be told as far as the lifetime and usefullness of the screen before it becomes unviewable though. Send me another request in a year or so on that last concern and we'll cover that.

I have been wanting a touch screen camera for a long time and when I found one on Amazon at this price, I couldn't resist! It was unfortunate that I couldn't get the color I wanted, but I have had no problem with the camera. Just make sure you buy a memory card when you order it.

I wanted to buy a small shove in your pocket camera , not spend a lot of money. well S4300 was one on my list Costco had one left for $100 so bought it. So after being totally confused reading articles on what to look for and nothing seemed perfect in any reviews I just bought one. The S4300 works really well takes great pictures , feels solid and looks good and fits my needs. I did buy an additional charger ( make sure it's for the S4300 not the 4300) battery and 16GB san-disk. So it's good camera to consider for the price you can't go wrong.

I had a previous camera fail and repairs would have been as much as purchasing a new one. I found this refurbished camera for a very reasonable price and it was an upgrade to my prior camera. It is very simple to use and quality of the photos is great.

This camera is similar to my old Coolpix but has a touch screen which is a nice enhancement. I haven't used all the features yet but so far I'm happy I didn't get a different brand.

The camera is excellent, takes very nice pictures and scene modes as well exploit the effects too.
Tactail screen can sometimes complicate matters, but it is about adapting. The only negative that I find, is that the battery charge is at the bottom, which makes have to stop lying on the front or the screen, it certainly makes scratches easily.
Then to see the pictures on TV, is half troublesome, because it does a good fit to the screen and passing them to go with the touch interface goes sometimes.
For the price it is a great camera to get and renew the old.
The video is acceptable. undoubtedly recommend it.

I have a Nikon p500 ( a big model with all the bells and whistles for us old time photogs) For a point and shoot camera with a litle zoom it works great. good pix quality and easy to move to video.

I love this camera. I found that you can take pictures black and white with a one color pop.. did not know this when i bought it. very satissfied with this except i just lost my charger :/

UPDATE to Review:
s4300 piece of junk as well. The thumb hold keeps falling off - NIKON doesn't seem to have their parts group prepared to handle the junk. Should have learned not to get a second one. BUYER BEWARE!!

S4100 with LCD Screen LEAK. No broken glass. Apparently pushing on the screen as it is a touchscreen ruined it. due to Have to be super careful with the LCD back. REPAIR options were slow and turned out to be about the same amount as what I paid for the camera. So it's trash. Its not the easiest camera to use and has some funky software useability layouts. I have learned to work around. BUT I will buy a different model next time.

I bought this camera because I was told it would be great for concert footage, one of my must haves in a camera. Even after technical support and trying all of their recommended settings, I was not able to get a single decent picture with over three hundred concert shots! My old camera did ok, but was damaged in a fire, last time I try to make a "change for the better". What a waste of my money!

Camera was about what I expected, I do wish I had known it came with a camera case and memory card, I had bought them separately. Contrarily, the included accessories made it a great deal.

The bottom line is that the pictures are beyond poor quality. I did not purchase mine on Amazon as I did not want to risk the product being damaged in shipment, but I bought one for myself as a Christmas gift last year. I was impressed with the first few pictures, especially the quality of the flash (I have always been a fan of Nikon's flashes, which was I chose this product in the first place). However, that is just about the only good thing I have to say about this product. I have tried not to hate it, using the excuse that I was just used to my DSLR and I had to remember that this was a smaller camera. Anyway, here's the truth:

1.) Outdoors -- This camera takes great outdoor shots...in the day light...as long as the subject is standing perfectly still.

2.) Indoors -- This camera does not take clear indoor shots at all! It doesn't matter what the lighting is, or whether or not the subject is standing still. And the bigger problem is, it only gets worse over time. I have had mine for a year now and have used it only 4 times and each time the pictures come out more and more blurred.

3.) The touch screen -- This is more of a stylus screen. The touch screen will NOT work with the touch of a finger, you must use the stylus that comes with it, so if you purchase this despite the reviews, make sure you do not accidentally throw the stylus out!

The camera is small and compact and lightweight and thin, which makes it easy to carry, which was what I was looking for, but the picture quality is horrific! I am very disappointed! Nikon still has a few bugs to work out before they get this "point and shoot" thing down.

Yes I would recommend camera, BUT buy the insurance coverage in case it's dropped. So, here is the six more words.

I was on the prowl for a new digital camera, I have 3 children that I photograph often. I love this camera!
