I really like this camera - for the price it's a good value! I have just started using it and so far, it is very user friendly. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a viewfinder, which I don't remember seeing in the description at all. Other than that, it takes great photos and is easy to use.

I can't say enough about this camera. I've seen much more expensive cameras that deliver a fraction of this camera's abilities and aren't as easy to use. I think the one most important issue I've noticed is for all its power, the batteries seem to last forever. I've had similar cameras and for the amount of photos I've taken I would have gone through 2-3 battery changes, and I'm still on the first set of batteries!

This camera is great for a novice like myself. The picture quality is sharp and crisp and my friends think it's the coolest thing ever since sliced bread. The only drawback is that it works with AA batteries but they seem to last long. So far I love it.

For years I only used my pocket Sony Cyber - shot....It was time to upgrade.I love using the L830 its easy and I enjoy using the built in effects. The zoom is spectacular.I'm taking pictures like a pro these days. If only it could fit in my pocket.....I recommend this camera to anyone.

I would have given it 5 stars except for pictures taken of small children or animals. Just isn't fast enough and I always get a blur. It has a great zoom as long as there is not fast movement. But a good camera for the price. I guess I just need to spend more money if I want a camera that will take pictures of fast movement.

my wife loves her camera - the pictures are of high quality and it was easy to use. This is a bit thicker than the other digital cameras, but we knew that going in. It fits in her purse and she loves the quality.

First off, I am very happy with my purchase.I was looking for an easy/solid point and shoot, and the L830 came through.With a 2 year old, I want to capture as much as possible without having to worry about bulk and lenses. The photo and video quality is excellent.Two annoying things though (and I'm sure it was to cut down on cost. Give me a scroll wheel to go through images and setting and for God's sake give me a view finder. The LCD is great, but annoying as all heck in bright conditions.If you can get past those two things, this is a great choice.

There are still some features I have to use. Took this camera on a trip and absolutely loved the use of it in the canyons and on my favorite trails. No complaints whatsoever. I'm not a professional but it sure feels close to being one for me. Thanks for the input on the past gens that helped my purchase decision. My dad has the previous gen. THis camera is significantly more weight in the hand.

Great camera. I've had Nikons before. The viewer on the back Is a good 3 inches to view your subject but your photos also. The zoom brings the picture right to you. . It is light and easy to hold with one hand. Highly recommend this camera.

When using zoom it doesn't take clear pics right off. Most of them are blurry. Video clips don't always load to my media player.I am still learning how to use it so I will have to give it a little more time. Overall I think ii is a fine camera.

Because of my incredible busy lifestyle, I have not used it a tremendous amount of time.However, so far I am very happy using the new camera. I will go on vacation in July andwill do my "homework" before - I promise.Ineke Baker-Adan

This is my first digital camera and I think its awesome. I have been taking a lot of nice pictures and I'm improving every time. It is very easy to use and has a good zoom on it. the only thin I wish was different would be a battery pack instead of 4 AA batteries. (always keep an extra set.)

Easy to use. Nice pics! Zoom works great and is able to focus quickly. Used at our daughters graduation outdoors. Not able to sit close. Got great pics with the zoom.

Awesome camara, and looks cute too.... Just shoot and click. Small enough to put in your handbag and works like a professional camera. Love it!

I wanted something to be not to small nor too big, and I think this camera is just what I was looking for. And well is a Nikon, the shots are extremely crisp and clear, very easy to use, specially in the auto mode. The zoom? WOW I was really impressed!! I can zoom in all the way and still capture a clear crisp shot of it.

This camera has all of the features that I was looking for. however, it is an older version. I wish I had researched a bit more to get the latest, but I had to have a replacement camera quickly.

We bought this camera in anticipation of a trip to Alaska, we are thrilled with the ease of use and quality of the photos.We highly recommend it.

Others have written plenty about the pros and cons. The bulky size to accommodate the 4 AA batteries and lack of a viewfinder (a common complaint for most LCD cameras) cost this other great camera one star.

I took a couple of pictures with this came and they came out so beautiful! I'm still getting to know how it works, so it'll be awhile before I become a novice. Been taking pictures for over 30 years and needed to upgrade.

This is an awesome camera. The zoom capability is amazing. Can't wait to use it on our vacation and take just amazing pictures. This will help capture our memorable vacation forever.

I love this camera.; love the color. However, it does not have rechargable batteries which is a big must for me.
