- + четкие фото, хорошее видео, удобно лежит в руке, поворотный экран, зум, макро снимает "на ура"...
- - нет видоискателя,лишние режимы (животные, спорт), но это вопрос спорный... баланс белого иногда ошибается... в пасмурную погоду и в помещении- можно смело снимать на автомате, в солнечную приходится выставлять баланс на "облачно",так как преобладает холодный синий, но это дело вкуса... ночная съёмка - ручной и экспозиция в минус, иначе пересветит фото...
своих денег стоит, но подойдёт тому, кому не лень экспериментировать с настройками камеры, либо сидеть в фоторедакторе...

своих денег стоит, но подойдёт тому, кому не лень экспериментировать с настройками камеры либо сидеть в фоторедакторе... его предшественник Coolpix L820 был лучше, у него не было проблем с "завалом" в синее и пересветом фото...

Пользуюсь данным фотоаппаратом почти год и осталась довольна покупкой! Вот только иногда подводит качество фотографий в помещении при плохом освещении, а на улице можно сделать такие снимки, что не возможно отличить от проф. фотоаппарата.

Покупал 2 месяца назад. Вообще-то аппарат отличный! Снимает, при должном обращении, великолепно. Макро, панорама, пейзаж - на любой вкус. Такие детали подмечаешь, что сразу и не увидишь. Снимал на улице, после этого, при максимальном зуме что-то начинает звенеть внутри. А так мне нравится!

Нет полных ручных настроек - в основном урезаны, не привычно видеть, что ты не можешь изменить настройки .... что понравилось : батарейки АА, видео норм снимает, макро при свете солнца отлично , скорость съёмки, клавиша для видео записи. Зум такой вообще не нужен - шум на фото вспышка попадает не полностью из-за объектива если фоткать с близкого расстояния около 2 метров - видна тень.

Ожидал лучшего качества фото, но хорошие получаются только при хорошем освещение или при слабым со штатива проблема в длинной выдержке которая в ручную не меняется

Поначалу не понравился, фотки получались не очень. Потом, как оказалось, если фотать со вспышкой качество супер, фотки четкие. Фоткали хорьков, подбирали фотоаппарат именно для того, чтобы малышей уловить.В общем, твердая 4. При приближении со вспышкой кадры получаются отлично.Видео тоже отличное получается. Посоветовали консультанты, за это их благодарю.

- + Отлично держится в руке и даже помещается в большой карман, если свернуть ремешок вокруг объектива. Качественная оптика и зум, гибридная стабилизация позволяет получать прекрасные фото и видеозаписи без штатива. Ударостойкий, но очень бережное обращение продлит жизнь вашего фотоаппарата :-).
- - Главный недостаток с виду солидного аппарата - это маленькая матрица, и при увеличении фотографий картинка выглядит как бы мультяшной, не хватает чёткости. А так же: замедленная реакция автофокуса при съёмке видео,...

I've taken this camera on two trips- one to Arizona, and one to France. I was absolutely bowled over by the quality of the photographs. They are crisp and clear, and the color is beautiful. The zoom is fabulous, and most of the time, I didn't have problems with blurry zoomed photos. Even in low light, I never had to use a flash. In Arizona, I took lots of photos at an outdoor Chihuly exhibit in the Arizona Botanical Garden, both in the afternoon and early evening light. It was fun experimenting with the different scene modes at dusk. Also took lots of night shots in France, and they were also great. Some have complained of battery life, but I found them to last a really long time. I never changed batteries for the whole week in Arizona, and then added another couple of days of battery life in France, and those were with the batteries that came with the camera. I had purchased rechargeables, and they lasted the rest of the two weeks in France, with power to spare.My reservations- Hate not having a viewfinder. If the photos weren't so great, I would have seriously thought about returning it. Seriously Nikon? Put a viewfinder in this camera and it would get 10 stars.Also, the door for the batteries and SD card feels a little flimsy. Opening it is not too difficult, but the closing mechanism is a little awkward.

I ordered this camera for a European trip because I did not want to lug around my large and heavy Canon 40D, and I wanted higher quality photos that can be achieved from a cell phone.I had a couple of issues with this camera. First of all, throw out the batteries that come with the camera. Mine died after only 2 days. I brought replacement batteries and they got me by for another week, and then those died too. My Canon has spoiled me because that battery lasts forever. It would be nice if the camera had a good battery that was rechargeable.Secondly, I had a hard time easily finding some of the settings that I desired. It felt a little like finding the needle in the haystack. I should have practiced more before leaving home.Thirdly, I didn't like the grip on the camera. I was forever hitting the playback button with my thumb, because that is the natural way to grip this camera. There is a small pad for your thumb, but its placement just felt unnatural.I also had a hard time getting the flash to work to fill in backlighting, etc. Also, you need a VERY steady hand when shooting.Now that I am home, the photo quality seems to be pretty good - at least much better than anything you can get with the cell phone. So I think I'll keep it. It is lightweight, small, takes fairly good photos, and looks cool, too.

Nikon L830 DOES NOT HAVE ANY ZOOM NOISE WHILE FILMING A VIDEO. It's easy to use in auto mode or has plenty of settings for the novis/hobbist that doesn't want to invest a couple of grand in lense's and bodies. My fujifilm S8200 had terrible zoom noise. That's why I took it back!This camera has far superior clarity in still pictures compared to the Fujifilm S8200 and when filming in HD, this camera has no interlacing issues when moving the camera like the Fujifilm S8200. I like the ability of just buying AA batteries and not being tied down to a lithium battery pack. I like the RED body although it shows fingerprints more than a black camera....no biggies! I've never used a View FInder so I don't miss that. I am on the fence about the settings buttons and not having a rotating selector switch. I do like having the saturation button at my fintertips though so maybe i'm really not on the fence.I do have only 1 issue. On my old Fujifilm S700, the flash auto popped up when needed. The L830 has to be manually released to function, but knowing that.....I just release it most of the time.MSRP was $299, Sale was $269 and Got it from Walmart for $229, I think she quoted me the wrong price over the phone and had to get a manager override to give me the quoted $229.I'm using a 32Gig Class 10 SanDisk HC Ultra Memory card from Best Buy for $24 and it will allow me to take over 3000 photos. I think I should have went with a 8Gig SanDisk Ultra PLUS that had a faster transfer rate. I think I'd do more research on the SDHC Cards before I buy one.

First, let me say that I am not terribly techy. I can barely turn on the TV anymore. So please, read the specs on this because I can't explain what they mean anyway. This review is based solely on my experience with the camera.We took this great little camera on a trip to Mexico not long ago and it was awesome. So easy to use that even I managed to get some spectacular photos. My eyes are over 40 years old (the rest of me feels 29) so I have some trouble seeing up close. Therefore, the pictures I took with this camera were kind of just point, shoot and pray. Well the prayers were answered because when we looked at the pictures later on a screen I could actually see, they turned out super crisp. In fact there was a topless sunbather in one that I hadn't seen and my son was delighted that I got such a sharp, focused shot! Ha.The HD video is also super cool. My son is using it to launch his youtube career -- he really needs to focus on college. -- lousy content aside, the videos turn out great. I haven't used it for video, but he does and loves it.This camera is really sturdy and well made. It bounced around in my bag, got knocked off the table a time or two, and overall wasn't treated as well as it should have been. It didn't miss a beat or even get a scratch.The zoom is amazing. The display is great (or so I am told since I can't really see it). This is an all around great addition to the amateur photographer or as a basic family camera. Highly recommend!

Nikon coolpix has some nice desired features and is easy to use. It is attractive and well designed. This camera takes series of photos and processes the best image. Result is vibrant picture. You can use built in differnt scenery mode or let camera decide it for you.What I didn't like about it is that it feels cheap and made of plastic material but Nikon may have done it to make it light in the weight. Flash and battery door pop up seems flimsy and I felt it won't last very many use or break off on slight mishandling. Camera doesn't have a view finder but it makes up with tilt swivel screen in many direction so you can take pictures pointing above your head (if you're in crowd or if bright Sun is blaring in the middle of the day then you can Change screen position up, down or in sides.Your photos would come out darker if you're zooming in far out subject on cloudy day but with 34x zoom you should be using a tripod and taking photo when there is suffrciant light behind you and onto the subject, camera does compensate for shake but that is more effective when you're taking a portrait but when you're zoning in 30 times even a slight hand shake will multiply 30 times.

My husband and I travel quite a bit. I wanted a camera I could be comfortable with, not spend too much time setting up my shots, and still get a great picture in the end.My last camera was a Canon power shot. After my grand daughter dropped and broke the lens and telescope, I put it away and just used my phone for the past year. We leave for my nieces wedding in Ireland in August. I want to make sure I get tons of great pictures. I want to take classes and become a better photographer. So based on the previous reviewers who give their pros and cons, thank you so much.I like the weight and feel of my camera. I like the ease of selecting the shooting mode, switching between the various menus, and the playback mode is similar to my old Canon. I also like the lens cover. It is like a little magnet gadget and has a tiny cord that holds the cap while it is off the lens. I lost so many lens caps in the past:{One tiny thing I am not crazy about: having to pop up the flash. I rather liked the old lazy way of the auto flash happening when I needed it.I am going to work on my picture taking skills, and report back to you after I know what I'm supposed to do with all these bells a whistles. Thank you.

I needed a good camera to take photos of prom and other activities that my daughter has and this camera was truly great for that purpose. Every picture turned out clear and the zoom option was nice although I didn't need it to zoom that close. It takes good pictures, they aren't the great pictures you've seen by really expensive professional cameras but I really can't complain about the clarity of any of my pictures. They looked better than all of my friends pictures by far and they had way more expensive bulkier camera's than I did. So all in all I am very pleased... However, I really wished I would've done a little more research because I do keep in touch via social media with my family and this would have been a few steps easier to upload pictures had it had built in wifi like the Canon SX510. By all other reviews they rank these two camera's pretty close and that would've sent me the other way had I done my research better. I guess if wifi doesn't matter to you then this is your camera!

I was looking to replace my aging Kodak and decided on this camera after months of searching and reading online reviews. I plan on taking it on vacation so I will run it through the gauntlet then. So far it is doing exactly as advertised.Pros: Battery life seems fair, makes excellent pictures and is very user friendly. I started using it straight out of the box without having to read a book of instructions. It makes great low-light pictures, something that my old camera wasn't doing. Uses real batteries. Zoom brings the subject right to you.Cons: Action shots are blurry even with stable hands, no view finder. Doesn't feel real sturdy so I am still taking my older indestructible Kodak camera along in the rough places we ride which kind of defeats the purpose of replacing it.

The camera is fine, but I ordered the wrong thing.I wanted to replace my Coolpix P100 that is a GREAT camera.After thousands of photos, it is ready for retirement. In looking at the specs on the L830, it looked like just the right thing to replace the P100. Unfortunately I thought it was a viewfinder camera and it is not. We took it on vacation and then found you have to look at the monitor on the back to frame the shot. Two problems. (1) my eyesight makes it difficult to manage. In particular in bright sunlight I could not see the picture well enough for precise cpmpositions. Flying bird photos just did not work well at all. (2) holding the camera still enough for low light photos at long telephoto settings was a problem. I guess after 65 years of using viewfinder cameras, I just did not adjust to having to look at the monitor. Maybe you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I just had this beautiful camera delivered tonight. I was so excited and it doesn't work. I got the "Battery Exhausted" message with the batteries it came with so in my excitement, I ran to Target to buy 2 packs of Energizer Lithium batteries, a case and a memory card. I get the same message with the new batteries. It doesn't work. I emailed Nikon but I am sure I will have to return it. Funny because I was trying to decide between this one and a Canon version of it. Reckon I picked the wrong one. I am really missing being out taking nature photos since my old Nikon died 3 wks ago.UPDATE: returned the camera and promptly received a refund. I ended up buying this same camera from Target and am still getting to know it. So far it seems great.

Rather than compare specifications, let me just say what I love about this camera. It has a very fast auto-focus! Way faster than either of my Panasonic Lumix cameras. I thought I might miss a digital viewfinder but discovered that, with the brightness turned up on the LCD, the viewfinder was quite useable in bright sunlight and the view is stunning in hi resolution. The dual controls for the telephoto are nicely placed and quite accessible. I also find using AA batteries easier and less expensive than proprietary batteries. I use alkaline and rechargeables and may use lithium in the future. The L830 can use all three types. This is a GREAT hybrid camera for the price.

Great buy. I was looking to buy a mid price all purpose zoom camera. I was going to buy a Nikon s820. I noted that the s830 was better rated on Amazon. So we bought the s830. We have had very good luck taking indoor pics in an auditorium. Zoom works great, and pics are clear and vivid. The indoor pics are not dark. stabilization works great to reduce blur. Some notes- get the class10 memory card. Also stock up on GOOD rechargeable batteries such Duracell. I have ac delco batts in the camera now. They are working fine, but Duracells seem to be more predictable. Don't use alkaline batteries. They won't last...

One of the features I love about this camera is all the special effects you can shoot pictures with. Plus the zoom is smooth and is great when trying to bring in that wildlife that is far off in the distance. I have found that the video is really great compared to an older video camera I had. The picture and sound are so much better. Plus here again, you can shoot your video with special effects. Great camera and so far I have no complaints on it at all. All of my photos have turned out great and it's so easy to use. Love it.

It's a great step up from you basic point and shoot and from the L820 that we had purchased earlier. We stayed with Nikon because of past cameras. Both of our point and shoots suffered from being dropped and broken battery doors. Cameras worked fine but you had to hold the battery door shut. Both the 820 and the 830 came with neck straps so hopefully they'll fare better.The zoom feature works great, the macro mode is great, the low light function works great (you probably will need the flash only in a dark room).Wonderful first camera or as a step up without spending big bucks.

Bought this for a conference event. Got super pictures in low light with no flash. Zoom pictures up on stage came out clear and bright. The flash is a little overpowering so thought I'd put a screen on it. Most of my indoor shots were without flash and came out wonderfully. Love the 34x zoom, was like I was standing right next to my subject from across the auditiorium. Like that I can replace batteries immediately and don't have to wait and charge them. Feels good in your hand and easy to handle. Love it!

After using a Coolpix L110 for work I liked the ergonomics so I purchased the L830 for my personal use. Not small and thats a good thing. Beefy enough to hold comfortably in one hand and takes great pictures easy. The zoom has an autofocus which truly does work. I took closeups at a ballgame and razor sharp without a tripod. The macro took great pictures of flowers and the detail was awesome. I'm a Cannon man back in the day but Nikon has won me over.

I was looking for new camera that took nice close-ups of family as well as my crafts. I was also looking for a camera to take non-flash pictures at events such as communions and dance recitals. I have to say this camera has performed way beyond my expectations! The resolution of the close-ups is fantastic and the zoom, non-flash shots are also fabulous...a great decision and purchase all the way around! Oh and I love the deep red color..I know exactly which camera is mine in the group on the table!

This camera was purchased for my daughter for fourteenth birthday. She has shown interest in photography and wanted her "first real camera". She has been enjoying the functional ease of it and the nice pictures it takes. Camera looks nice and the zoom is very nice. She took a picture of a deer in the woods. Zoomed in to take a nice still picture, and the deer looks like it was standing right in front of her... picture clear. It was nice!

AMAZING CAMERA!!!! I mainly bought the camera for its zoom and it hasn't failed me yet. Crisp pictures, easy to you use, and the battery life is the best I've come by. Its does really well in low light also. The only problems I've run into is I didn't realize there was no manual mode, and when its at its highest zoom it make a beeping nose( does not interfere with video). Other wise this is an amazing camera.

I doubt there is a better camera for the money. I have had full size dslr and slr Nikons all my life. Never a problem and they all produce excellent pictures. I no longer take pictures professionally, so I looked into a light weight camera that at least had most of the bells and whistles. This one fits the bill beautifully. My only complaint would be no viewfinder. Very hard to see the picture in bright sunlight.

Excellent. Very happy with it. Not having a view finder sucks, but I shoot with a nice Nikon and that's all I use. Took it out for a test shoot today. Not bad at all. Not even close to a D3, but I wanted a camera to leave in the car all the time. I am not a great or even good photographer, but part of my job involves taking photos and incorporating them into my journals. The zoom on this camera is amazing, the pictures I take using the 34x zoom are clear and crisp. I haven't had the camera for a very long so I am still learning about it, but the camera is easy to use and takes great pictures, which is what I bought the camera for.

I have been taking the best pictures EVER since I got this camera. Tonight was the best of all - took a picture of the moon - you can see craters CLEARLY in the photo. Amazing quality and so easy to use. Not much of a learning curve at all for me, because I had a different Coolpix prior to this so it's similar. When I share pics with my friends on Facebook they always want to know what kind of camera I used.

I got this for Mother's Day, because I wanted a fancy camera with zoom, but I have no clue how to use those cameras. This camera has all those bells and whistles that I wanted in a camera and so easy to use. You can adjust the exposure or just switch it to the exact type of setting you're in, like at a sporting event, or taking a picture of a pet, it's really easy and it takes great pictures.

I have used this camera for both photos and video recording. The results are exceptional, the videos are super clear and the audio is great. Photos are also beautiful. I have no regrets with this purchase. I haven't tried editing videos as yet, so I cannot comment on that, but so far so good.

I really like this camera - for the price it's a good value! I have just started using it and so far, it is very user friendly. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't have a viewfinder, which I don't remember seeing in the description at all. Other than that, it takes great photos and is easy to use.
