just the job for people that are hard of hearing like me.
i wear hearing aids in both ears.
i bought a new samsung tv that had no wired headphone jack point on it, had i known this i would NOT have bought the tv. my problem was that my family went to bed i used my headphones to listen to my tv so as not to disturb them. firstly i bought a digital to analog converter, but all that did was to provide me with the sound from my headphones, but the sound also STILL comes from my tv speakers. so it is of no use to me, so i bought this digital to analog converter with the headphone amp volume control on it. it does the job great, now i am able to control the volume that comes through to my wired headphones. a must for the hard of hearing.

Good sound quality, high volume and seems well put together.
So far the dac converter had worked great. Only problem is there was once when I started it up and no sound was being produced so I switched it off for 10 minutes then tried again and it worked fine.
Quality of sound is good and volume is also spot on. Build quality seems good although there's something inside that rattles around when shaken.
I would definetly recommend this product to a friend based on its performance so far. There's an 18 month warranty with the product which has also given me peace of mind.

Perfect to augment Samsung TV's lack of headphone jack
Used with Samsung UE49NU7100 4K HDR TV (which regrettably does not support headphones).
Sound quality is perfect for my needs, but you should consider forking out a little more if you're an audiophile, since there is the tiniest bit of noise and the occasional crackle (for perspective: in 20 hours of usage I heard three or four crackles at random moments - a negligible amount). But for sitting in bed watching movies and TV or playing video games, this is perfect - indeed, it's far better quality than the PS4 headphone connection I was using previously. Set-up is simple, just be sure to change to PCM audio in the audio settings, since Dolby Surround is the default setting for Samsung TVs.

Nice piece of kit!
Faced with the problem of connecting a new TV to an old hifi amp, I looked for an optical to analogue converter. This one has a good design, feels rugged and had the right lead. I figured the volume control might be useful. Set-up wasn't as obvious as it should have been: I set the TV audio to the right signal type but couldn't get any sound. I fiddled about for ages checking connections and signal presence, when suddenly it began to work, due to the tv having been off and on, and the DAC being turned on. The sound quality is excellent and we power it from a USB plug. As long as one remembers to turn things on in the right order it in it is fine!

Works as advertised.
Very pleased with this item. It links a toslink optical fibre feed from a 55" UHD Toshiba TV to the RCA connections leading to a aux socket on a 1980s Technics music system, and it performs well in my opinion.

Don't buy a new amplifier before reading about the Neoteck dac
Purchased this product after reading other reviews on Amazon to allow us to convert digital output from smart TV to analogue so that all TV audio output can be played through a hi fi amplifier. The amplifier had no optical,usb,or hdmi connections so the addition of the neoteck DAC has made it possible to convert audio from the modern TV to the old but good quality amplifier. The set up of the DAC was fairly straightforward with a good coloured instruction booklet included with the kit. What is more, the DAC has a headphone jack on it and this was a bonus as the amplifier did not. I have been using the neoteck DAC for about 10 days and it has been terrific.

A real Wonder Device Neoteck 192kHz
This Neoteck 192kHz Aluminum DAC Converter Digital Optical Coaxial Tos link to Analog Stereo Left/Right RCA 3.5mm works like a dream.
I bought a modern LG TV and did not notice that TV does not anymore support 3.5mm headset as I often in the evening use my headset in order not to disturb other family members.
Even company who sold TV could not tell what to do but I found this amazing small wonder device from Amazon !
It is just plugged the wires (which came with the device) and everything is just like earlier or should I say even better as this tiny wonderful device has its own volume control too !
Shipment was also faster than from any local shop or local website.

Very pleased
So far, very pleased. Audio quality is great through either the headphone jack or RCA audio. It outputs to both at the same time, so you can have 2 devices hooked up (I have 1 to headphones and 1 to a set of speakers, I leave the speakers off until needed). Given optical output from my TV, this this is loud! I barely have the volume control turned up for a comfortable listening volume. I can also power it via the USB port of my TV just fine. Build quality seems great too, especially given the price. Overall I would recommend this if you want a relatively inexpensive DAC.
My only small complaint is the red power LED on the back is very bright.

It is an excellent little product which was delivered promptly
I recently purchased a Samsung ku6000 TV only to find it had no headphone socket.I therefor purchased a Neoteck 192KHz DAC with a volume control knob and headphone socket which I connected to the TV's Digital audio out(optical) port.It is an excellent little product which was delivered promptly.
I was very impressed when their support team offered, upon purchase, to help with any problems or questions I may have.
I asked what would be a suitable power source and at what voltage.They responded very quickly.
Now my wife and I can listen to our favourite programmes through headphones connected to the DAC while the TV is on mute,the sound being adjusted by the DAC's control knob.
Very impressed and a problem solved.

Nice little DAC
Like other reviewers I bought this because my new TV has no headphone socket. I soon realised that this is a better solution because the optical volume output is independent of the TV's speaker level. I'm hard of hearing so I can set my own level while anyone else in the room can adjust the TV speaker volume to suit them.
I connected a bluetooth transmitter to my DAC and the sound quality to my headphones is superb. The build quality feels very solid and overall I'm pleased with it. The only downside is that that red LED on this unit is really bright, as others have commented.

Used to link TV audio to HiFi system as TV only had optical output. Works fine. The volume control means that you can match output to other components , so you don't have to make volume adjustments. Use 5V power supply via USB connections. Power supply not included with this model, which for me is fine as I have several already

Decent and adjustable output level
Arrived in good time and good order, and even included an optical cable. Seems well made with a nice solid feel. The volume adjustment works for the RCA output, which was what I needed as the output of the DAC that I had previously was a bit low for my hifi amp, requiring the wick to be turned up to unprecedented levels. Maximum output on this unit is more in line with that of the CD player and other devices connected to my amp. The unit also has a 3.5 mm socket for headphones if needed. Very pleased so far.

Amazing little device
I bought this to go with a new computer which has an optical output to give me better sound quality than the relatively cheap onboard audio and double up as a little headphone amp. The sound quality is superb with a rich bass and clear soundstage. For such a cheap product, the build quality is also excellent with the metal case feeling pretty solid and the volume control being smooth and positive.
It can be powered either from a standard USB plug or in many cases will happily run on the power from a USB port on a TV or computer.

My only issue is the volume on the TV cannot be adjusted via the TV remote and has to be done manually with the amp volume knob.

Who ever made this I could kiss ya!
So, just bought a new 4k display, and silly me, i didnt check if it had the rca ports attached to it, only digital audio inputs. So when it arrived I found I couldnt use my speaker system, so needed to find a little gadget that would convert the mini jack input to digital optical output, after much searching I found this nifty thing, and it works fantastically, to be honest I can't hear any compression on the audio. Love this little thing, saved me buying a new speaker set with digital optical inputs. Thanks guys, made me very happy :D

Does what it says...
Connected this via an optical cable to my sound bar to solve the problem of my headphones having no or little sound when connected. It worked for wired headphones which have no volume control of their own and also worked for wireless headphones (which do, but it was still a bit quiet for certain things) via a Bluetooth transmitter which I plugged into headphone jack on the device. The volume control works well and has made all the difference . I am not very tech minded so there may have been a simpler way doing this, but it worked for me.

I am using this adaptor to convert the digital sound from a new smart 4K LED TV so that it can be played through a conventional stereo amplifier if I require this additional sound system. The power for this adaptor is via a USB socket, which means that you can power it from the TV, which switches off power to the USB ports when the TV is switched off. This is an advantage to ones that require a 13 amp socket, which would require a separate switch to turn on and off.
I have found that the white audio output does not work so the output sound only comes out of one of the amplifier's speakers. I did not detect this at first as the other speaker was adjacent to the TV's own speaker. I have therefore returned the product to Amazon and will have to consider an alternative solution.

Works great, but...
Works perfectly, *but* I had to use a separate usb charger direct from the mains or I got terrible interference and crackling when I touched it, I'm guessing there was no earth connected through my TV's usb port. 4 stars, I'm guessing it's my TV's at fault but still didn't work properly with the included kit.

Just what I was looking for
I was looking for a DAC with optical input to isolate my PC from the speaker amp. My graphics card generates a lot of electrical noise and so this was the best option.
I've tried a few DACs before settling on this one, mainly because the audio quality is amazing. Other DACs in this price range often have noticeable background noise in the analog output, but this one sounds absolutely clear.
It feels very solid and well made.
I would recommend replacing the included TOSLink cable, but that's just me.

Beatutiful sound quality
A crisis purchase on finding our new Samsung 49" TV only had optical audio. It just plugs in, there's a handy USB on the TV that powers it well and the sound seems tremendously good when played through a reasonable HiFi system (yes, I'm that old). After about 3 weeks the sound went crackly and that was easily traced to both fibre optic connector backing out of its socket - I probably should get a better grade one. But the sound quality is lovely, you won't regret buying it.

I purchased this DAC for use with converting the optical audio output from my Samsung KS Series TV into a headphone output for my speakers. Happy to report his product works flawlessly. It feels solid & has great construction. The volume control knob is smooth & has linear control so you can fine tune it. The DAC automatically turns on to the Optical Input, so there's no delay of switching modes.
I'd highly recommend this DAC over the Avantree one - this is a far superior, better built & has way more value for money.

For the price the build quality is great with a solid feel from the volume control
Purchased to convert the digital signal from my TV to analogue so I can play it through my old amp which has no digital inputs . For the price the build quality is great with a solid feel from the volume control. Sound wise the unit performs well and does the job it's designed for.
The only improvement I could offer is the red led light which is a bit bright. This lit up the rear of the TV when the lights were out. This was quickly solved with a bit of black tape.
