Nice looking board. Lots of SSD drive slots. Spacious for what I need. But watch that GPU catch; it's very stiff and if you get a heavy GPU in slightly one-end too much it's quite easy to snap it. Be very careful and make sure it's fully open.

I was disappointed that its internal bluetooth did not work anything like my old one, quitting out every 10 seconds. I have to figure out what's wrong there.

The Bios seems like it still in its early phases. Setting some options (like EXPO) seem to have strange effects on the stability of the CPU and Ram, but MSI seems to pushing out Bios updates quite fast. Loses a star for that.

Also no physical manual. This is the first board I have ever had with no physical manual. I had to go online to get it and then be reading off my phone while doing this which is a total pain. I have always liked a physical manual that I could sit back and peruse as I wish. I eventually downloaded the PDF and printed it (and the version isn't even fully up-to-date as certain parts are in different places). They no doubt did it to save money and because - lazy. I don't care if this is how they do things now, they should not for an advanced technical board like this. And it's not cheap. You WILL always need a physical manual. We don't always have a phone or net. Loses a star for that.

I know I jump on this board a lot, but it is quite a good board and I can see the potential for it once they've caught up with finishing its Bios, but right now I cannot give it a very high score. I'm sure it will be better with time, but I score it to what it is right now, not later.

Building a new PC with this motherboard was great. This fits right into the Corsair 4000D Airflow with no issues, and has many "EZ" branded features that really are quite handy, my favourite being the adapter which puts all those tiny pesky front panel header plugs into one piece that you can just plug into the motherboard itself. That's not to say that the tool-less M.2 installation and PCIE x16 release aren't great either; both are certainly well made, and it is clear a good amount of thought has gone into making these. Other features include a dedicated flash bios button, clear CMOS button and dedicated power on and reset buttons at the bottom. These are all great troubleshooting and updating features that I would've loved to have on a previous PC build.

The build quality of the motherboard is solid, and the large heatsinks that cover the VRMs are suitably thick. The motherboard has reduced flexion when installing power cables and RAM compared to other motherboards I've used, and the pre-installed thermal pads for the M.2 slots as well as their heatsinks are of good quality and quantity. All these pieces certainly feel quite a bit heavier than other motherboards I've used.

The design is, of course, down to being subjective, but the carbon fiber accents pair well with the overall black look of the rest of the motherboard. The RGB is not overdone, which I consider a plus. It is possible to still appreciate the look of the motherboard itself without the RGB detracting from the overall feel. Debug LEDs and digit code displays are present and clear. No problems here. You get loads of I/O ports, and a dedicated Wi-Fi antenna. If there is one complaint here, the antenna is it's own piece and quite large making it distinctly different to the "stick" kind of antenna you might get otherwise. If you don't have much space it can be quite hard to find a place to put it, but to be honest you could just leave it behind the desk and forget about it. The Wi-Fi still works without it though so if you really hate it you don't have to use it. It comes with a USB which I think is intended for you to install things with, but MSI utility runs when you do the first Windows Update so it's not really needed.

The manual available online is comprehensive, detailed, and well written. Other motherboard manuals would have you scour for build videos with that specific motherboard, but the combination of EZ features and a good manual makes installing this much less stressful that it could be.

The BIOS is clean and easy to navigate, but there are some options here which apply some somewhat unsafe settings. For example, the EZ game boost or whatever for CPU increases voltage quite a bit. If you really wanted to tweak everything then of course all the options are there, but from an ease-of-use standpoint some of these EZ overclocking settings would not be things I recommend to the average user.

Setup is as easy as any other PC from fresh, although be aware that it has to be Windows 11 otherwise you won't be able to install the Wi-Fi drivers as the module only works with Windows 11.

With all this being said, I do think that the price is quite high but you are getting a quality product that does demand a higher price point (but perhaps not so high). Certain M.2 slots and PCI-E slots share lanes, so you do have to make sure you are using the right ones (along with not using all the slots, as some slots take bandwidth away from your graphics card if used). This isn't a huge deal breaker, but it is certainly something to keep in mind if you plan on putting in more M.2 drives in the future.

A final, albeit very nitpicky, drawback would be the design and removal process of plastic wrap specifically around the large heatsink in the top left and the M.2 drives. The design of the M.2 wrap has "remove" written all over it, but this design actually makes it hard to read what it says. I can very easily see this being a potential issue for less experienced builders. The large wrap has a plastic cover over it (which may make you think you need to remove it first, but if you tried you'd likely snap it off). The process of removing this involves taking both pull tabs and shimmying them under the plastic cover until you can remove the whole piece when they meet in the middle. Again, I am aware this is really nitpicking, but it is something to consider for the DIY experience.

Overall, the motherboard is of very good build quality, includes more than enough I/O for the vast majority of users, and has many well thought out ease-of-use, updating, and troubleshooting features. It has great performance and an easy to navigate BIOS. Potential drawbacks include shared bandwidth between slots that may limit future expansion, a rather large antenna, potentially unsafe EZ BIOS options, and some plastic wrap issues. The price is also quite high, although you do get a quality product in return. All in all, very good, would recommend.

Haven’t had the chance to install it yet but the box and motherboard look super nice, I am very happy with this motherboard so far and, it has every port you could think of, very high quality, so many features and options from usb to ease of use.

Ho scelto la MSI MPG X870E EDGE TI WIFI per assemblare il mio PC con Ryzen 7 9800X3D, una build quasi completamente bianca, e finora sono davvero soddisfatto. L’installazione è stata semplice, con un BIOS aggiornato e molto intuitivo. Supporta Ram DDR5 e offre un ottimo sistema di alimentazione con VRM da 80A SPS, perfetto per mantenere il processore stabile anche sotto carichi intensi.

La presenza di PCIe 5.0 x16 e slot M.2 Gen5 garantisce grande futuro per upgrade e prestazioni al top, mentre il Wi-Fi 7 e la 5G LAN assicurano una connettività ultra veloce e stabile.

L’estetica è curata e il design è funzionale, con un buon sistema di dissipazione. Consiglio davvero questa scheda a chi vuole un prodotto solido e pensato per sfruttare i Ryzen AM5.

la scheda madre X870E Carbon WIFI è un ottima scheda madre se si cerca un chipset stabile in grado di fare overclock senza preoccuparsi, inoltre ha un ottimo supporto per RAM di frequenze molto alte.
Il design è molto bello e la scheda madre è anche dotata di RGB sul primo shield per l'SSD.
La scheda madre è anche dotata di una connettività molto ampia siccome ha 9 porte USB-a da 9GB e 4 porte USB-c due da 40GB e le restanti da 10GB.
inoltre nella scatola è inclusa una chiavetta USB che contiene tutti i driver che servono per far funzionare il sistema correttamente anche se appena si installa Windows il software di msi te li fa già installare in automatico.

Consiglierei questa scheda madre a chiunque vuole assemblare il proprio pc su una base solida e stabile.

Scheda madre solida e ben costruita, pensata per sfruttare al meglio le CPU AMD di ultima generazione. Buona dotazione di porte e supporto a DDR5 e PCIe 5.0. Il Wi-Fi 7 è un plus interessante, anche se non essenziale per tutti. Adatta a chi cerca stabilità e aggiornabilità.

Bin sehr zufrieden mit dem MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk Mainboard. Habe lange recherchiert, welches Mainboard meine Anforderungen gerecht werden kann.
Beim MSI MAG X870E Tomahawk bin ich fündig geworden. Ich wollte auf jeden Fall mind. 3 voll nutzbare M.2 Steckplätze und das MSI hat sogar 4. Ok, der zweite M.2 Steckplatz ist je nach Bedarf mit USB4 geshared, aber voll einstellbar im BIOS (entweder x4 auf M.2 oder USB4 oder beide auf x2, was mehr als ausreicht und im Vergleich zu anderen Herstellern sehr gut gelöst ist.
Zudem ist es qualitativ hochwertig, das merkt man einfach und die Anordnung der Chipsätze, sowie verschiedener Steckplätze / Anschlüsse) ist sehr gut gelöst.
Auch der Soundchip ist für einen OnBoard-Soundchip hochwertig und reicht einwandfrei für den Standard-User / Gamer aus! KEIN Knacksen oder Rauschen bei mir!!!
Auch die Temperaturen sind mehr als zufriedenstellend in meinem System. um die 50° unter Last. TOP!!!
Und der Aufbau und Art und Weise vom BIOS finde ich auch super!
In der Relation hat es auch sein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Habe meines im Angebot für 279€ erhalten, normal liegt es so um die 300€. Aber das ist es wirklich absolut wert.
Ich hatte von Anfang an keine Schwierigkeiten, es lief reibungslos und ohne Probleme mit meinem Ryzen 7800X3D!
Auch der extra vorhandene PCI Stromanschluss am Board ist super. Auch wenn noch nicht wirklich notwendig, so hilft es für eine ausgeglichenere Stromversorgung, vor allem dann, wenn man eine stromhungrige Grafikkarte hat. Ich denke für die Zukunft ist sowas sehr wichtig. Board geht mit oder ohne diesen Anschluss.

Ich bin wirklich sehr sehr sehr zufrieden mit dem Mainboard und kann es anstandslos jedem empfehlen!!!

Ottima scheda madre ATX X870, presenta tutto quello che serve per assemblare una build top di gamma senza fronzoli. Si presenta molto solida ed elegante, è sprovvista di LED RBG, benché abbia 2 pin ARGB, sono presenti 6 PWM + uno adibito alla pompa AiO. Il bios è di febbraio, perfettamente compatibile con il mio Ryzen 7 9800X3D, non è stato necessario nessun update. Per quanto riguarda gli ingressi è presente il primo slot Pcie 5.0, gli altri 4.0, perfetto per il futuro; sono inoltre presenti 4 slot M.2, tutti provvisti di dissipatore. Il pannello I/O è pre-installato e la suite MSI fornisce tutto il necessario. Il BIOS è molto intuitivo e ben fatto, unica nota è assenta la lingua italiana. Da quest'ultimo sono accessibili tutte le impostazioni per l'OC, l'EXPO per le ram funziona benissimo e non rischiede ulteriori impostazioni

The board feels well built and installation was easy. I especially liked the design of the M.2 slots, which makes installing drives quick and simple. It works smoothly with my 9800X3D and MSI 5070Ti Gaming TRIO X, and so far the system has been very stable. BIOS is clear and has enough options for adjustments without being complicated. The cooling on the VRM does its job well and I haven’t had any issues during longer gaming sessions. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a gaming setup.

Super happy with this board so far and it's features. The EZ M.2 slot system makes installing drives super simple, there are plenty of ports for everything I need. BIOS is verry beginner friendly with useful EZ settings. I also really like the little display that shows CPU temps and error codes, it's very handy.

The only downside was the packaging: mine arrived in its case without much protection. Thankfully the board itself is solid, works perfectly with my Ryzen 9 9900X and looks great in the build. Overall, highly recommended!

Dopo aver testato la MSI X870 GAMING PLUS WIFI per diversi mesi, posso dire con certezza che è una scheda madre davvero pazzesca, all’avanguardia per chi vuole assemblare un PC da gaming o da lavoro ad alte prestazioni e vuole rendere il suo investimento a prova di futuro (come ho fatto io!)

Habe das MSI Tomahawk X870E in Kombination mit einem 9800X3D und einer 5070 Ti. Für Gaming oder generell einen leistungsstarken PC ist das Board eine sehr gute Grundlage. Wer etwas mehr Budget hat, kann auch das Edge Ti nehmen.

Die Verarbeitung macht einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck, alles fühlt sich stabil an und läuft super zuverlässig. Das neue One-Click BIOS ist übersichtlich und einfach zu bedienen. Man findet sich gut zurecht. Bisher läuft alles stabil mit sehr guten, kühlen Temperaturen. Das Board hat jede Menge USB-Ports, Lüfter-Anschlüsse und M.2-Slots (nutze 2 von 4). Mit PCIe 5.0 ist man auch für die nächsten Jahre gut aufgestellt. Die M.2-SSDs lassen sich super easy installieren, man braucht nicht mal Werkzeug dazu :)

Die Installation von Windows und allen Treibern lief ohne Probleme (kann man direkt initial laden oder selbst von der Produktwebsite, wo die passenden Treiber und Software aufgelistet sind – sehr gut gemacht!). Kühlkörper sind ordentlich dimensioniert und halten die Temperaturen schön niedrig.

Einen kleinen Minuspunkt gibt es allerdings: Die SATA-Ports liegen genau unter der eingebauten Grafikkarte. Wenn die GPU einmal sitzt, kommt man an den Kabelclip zum Lösen aus der Buchse nicht mehr ran. Dafür musste man die Grafikkarte ausbauen oder mit irgendeinem Gegenstand da herumfummeln … Hätte man evtl. mit der 2. USB3-Buchse tauschen können – die muss man ja evtl. nicht nochmal tauschen. Dafür 1 Stern Abzug.

Alles in allem aber ein super Board, das viel Ausstattung für sein Geld bietet.

Design ed Estetica: elegante e aggressiva al punto giusto

Il primo colpo d’occhio è fantastico: il tema Carbon nero opaco con dettagli in grigio antracite è semplicemente perfetto per chi vuole un look premium e stealth. L’illuminazione RGB (Mystic Light) è discreta ma personalizzabile a piacimento tramite software MSI Center, e valorizza ogni build con un tocco high-tech senza mai essere eccessiva. Anche i dissipatori passivi sono ben realizzati, con un look aggressivo ma pulito, e contribuiscono a rafforzare la sensazione di avere davanti un prodotto top di gamma.

Prestazioni: stabile, potente, pronta al futuro

Questa scheda madre è un mostro in termini di prestazioni. Monta il chipset X870E, progettato per sfruttare al massimo la nuova generazione di processori AMD Ryzen serie 9000.
Io l’ho testata con un Ryzen 5 9600X (solo temporaneo in attesa di essere sostituito in futuro con un X3D della serie 9 o 10) e l’accoppiata è perfetta: nessun collo di bottiglia, gestione impeccabile del boost e temperature sempre sotto controllo anche sotto stress.
Portato fino a 5.5Ghz in modo stabile e senza il minimo problema.

Il VRM a 22 fasi garantisce un’erogazione di potenza stabile anche durante sessioni prolungate di overclock, con dissipatori che fanno il loro lavoro in modo silenzioso ed efficiente. Ich habe mir das MSI MPG X870E Carbon WIFI gekauft und bin rundum begeistert. Schon beim Auspacken merkt man: optisch einfach der Hammer. Das schwarze PCB mit den Carbon-Akzenten und den massiven Kühlkörpern wirkt extrem hochwertig und passt perfekt zu einem cleanen High-End-Build.

Technisch ist das Board eigentlich kompletter Overkill, aber genau das macht es so stark. Mit PCIe 5.0, DDR5-Support, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 und einer robusten 16+2+1-Phasen-VRM ist man langfristig bestens gerüstet. Besonders praktisch finde ich die zwei LAN-Ports (2,5 Gbit/s + 5 Gbit/s) – ideal, wenn man mehrere Netzwerke oder VLANs nutzt.

Auch die werkzeuglosen M.2-Abdeckungen und der PCIe-Release-Button sind echte Quality-of-Life-Features, die den Ein- und Ausbau enorm erleichtern. Größter Schrott!!! Alle SSD Slots außer Slot 4 funktionieren nicht b.z. Sorgen für Abstürze und ewigen Wartezeiten, Blackscreen unsw.
2 IT Spezialisten haben sich den neu gebauten PC angesehen und sagten beide unabhängig voneinander das es am Mainboard liegt das einen Defekt hat und alle Komponenten des Build passen. Msi Boards der x870 Serie machen nur Probleme, im Internet findet man hunderte tweets über das selbe Problem mit dem Mainboard und es ist eine Frechheit das man sowas in dem unausgereiften Zustand mit den BIOS Problemen so verkauft! 10 verschiedene ssd Karten versucht immer das selbe, etliche bios Updates, CMOS Button, mehrfach Windows neu installiert, von mir und IT Spezialisten und jeder kommt zu dem selben Schluss, das dieses Mainboard absoluter Schrott ist und massive Mängel hat!!!!!!! Eine Frechheit und das muss ich jetzt über Garantie regeln obwohl es neu ist weil 2 Wochen vorbei sind!
Kaufe mir ein neues weil ich nicht Monate auf des Board warten werde, also doppelt zahlen und der Stress , niemals mehr Msi Mainboard……!!!!!! Absolut instabil dieses Board und unausgereift!!!!!!
Auch ist mir aufgefallen das der Karton wo das Siegel sein sollte mit 2 großen weisen Etiketten überklebt worden ist, gehe davon aus das man mir bewusst Defekte Ware verkauft hat!!!!

Habe über Jahre alle Hersteller ausprobiert, kaufe nur noch MSI Boards, zur Konkurrenz sage ich nichts, wobei ASUS ist leider die reinste Katastrophe. Halten nicht lange, wenn das Board schon nicht defekt ankommt oder gefühlt dutzende Bios Updates, damit mal RAM funktioniert.
Zum MSI MPG Edge TI, keine kaputte oder eingedrückte Verpackung, der Karton hatte keine Quetscher. Schon mal ein Edge gehabt, und es war mit das beste Board, und hatte schon die AMD 7000er, wollte aber ein Upgrade, Prozessor und RAM und Board. Das Board funktioniere von Anfang an wunderbar, viele extra Anschlüsse am Board. Beste Verarbeitung, hatte ein BIOS von Januar, trotzdem funktionieren RAM, Prozessor, ohne Probleme. Nach Bios Update, merkte man auch einen leichten Zuwachs an Geschwindigkeit. Etwas Gewöhnungsbedürftig war am Anfang das neue UEFI/BIOS, sehr clean und aufgeräumt, man gewöhnt sich schnell daran.
Kritik; Kein Handbuch, bei dem Preis erwarte ich bei jedem Anbieter ein Handbuch, und nicht nur ein QR Code. Der Preis ist wie bei ASUS zu teuer. Das kann nicht sein, dass man bei dem Preis per QR Code das Handbuch lesen kann. Ja Papier, bin auch im Grunde das man viel Papier sparen sollte wo es angebracht ist. Und schon gibt es Menschen, mit kleineren Handys, kaum was lesen kann. Man kann nicht erwarten das jeder das neuste Smartphone besitzt. Das Bios wirkt jetzt auch aufgeräumter auf. Die AI Funktion das, dass Board lernt, wie man im MSI Center was macht. Mittlerweile mache ich sie auch aus. Weiter zur Kritik ist die automatische Installation, von MSI Software. Ein USB Stick liegt bei, wenn man die Software mag und möchte. Allem in Allem ein Super Board was zu teuer ist, aber einfach Top Verarbeitet und geiles Board, optisch wow. Note: 1-

Everything is running smoothly and performance has been great out of the box. I really liked the EZ PCIe Release. Getting my GPU in and out was incredibly simple. One tip: If you're planning to use this board with a 9950X3D make sure you flash the BIOS to the latest version before installing the processor. I used the M-Flash feature via USB, and it was straightforward and necessary for compatibility. Overall, a solid, feature-rich board that handles high-end components perfectly once the BIOS is updated. Highly recommended!
