I CANNOT GET THE VIDEO TO WORK ON AIM . MY FAMILY USES AIM AND WE CAN VOICE CHAT AND IM. HAVE NO CLUE AND HAVEN'T FOUND ANYONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THE TROUBLE IS. MAYBE I BOUGHT THE WRONG CAMERA ?

The picture quality of this camera is quite good. The little fun effects are neat, too. The webcam is easy to setup and install. However, sometimes it asks me to put in the Microsoft webcam CD to use certain features, even though I've already done that, twice.I don't like the mechanism that it uses to "clip" onto notebooks though - it's not sturdy and after a few months use, the clip has broken. Since I now have no way to clip it to my notebook, I cannot use this product. The webcam will not stand on it's own, so now I have no way to use it.

I bought this web-cam for about $46 shipped. Once you follow the the installation instructions, install is a breeze. It works great with no crashes and lots of features. My OS is windows XP, and it runs with no problems so far.One thing i noticed with the VX-7000, is that it gets a little warm, even when not in use, but not a concern !I would recommend this product !!

Product as advertised. I don't want or need a hi-res webcam for my uses; this product fills the bill for a simple-to-operate piece of equipment. And- Amazon is the best. I've ordered countless products from them and have always been completely satisfied.

I bought this cam so I could skype with my best friend who lives in the states. It fits perfectly, amazing video quality and the clipping mechanism is not as bad as people say.The only thing I found dissapointing where the effects, but still, great cam!

I bought this mainly for use as a microphone and to video chat via skype. This little cam is quite versatile, it has several features that I would have never thought of. Firstly the picture quality is exceptional much better than that of webcams mounted in computer. The mic quality is very nice as well. It comes with some fluff software thats kinda stupid but other than that it was a very good buy.

If you wanted to use the excellent NX-6000 but were put off by that webcam's small clip (it's really meant for notebook screens only, even desktop LCD's are too big) then this is the model you are looking for - almost. While the NX-7000 has a far more flexible stand (it will work on top of about any monitor and even folds in to a desktop configuration) it doesn't have the slide-out camera feature of the NX-7000, nor for that matter any way of physically blocking the lens - yes, it lights up nice and blue when in use, but some people are put off just the same by an open camera lens staring them in the face all the time, just ask any Macbook user. Still, it's a minor quibble.Unlike the previous review states the resolution on the NX-7000 is in fact exactly the same as the NX-6000; aside from the differences I mention above they are essentially the same camera. I own both, one for use on my wife's laptop, and one (the 7000) I use with my laptop and take back and forth to work, where I use it on my LCD screen. Quality is very good for a webcam, assuming you use Windows Live Messenger, which has a built in video codec that supports these models well - I noticed that other video call IM's, such as AIM, didn't show as good a picture, although it was still more than adequate. Whether this is due to codec support or just built in Messenger tools I can't say.For me the bottom line on this camera is this - it's a decent all around webcam with any application, and if you are tied in to Microsoft's Windows Live services it's easily the best webcam you can buy.

Great product, captures great video and picture! Only problem is you have to speak rather loud for the microphone to catch your voice, or sit close, but I have a separate mic from my old webcam that works in place. Worth every penny!

This is an ok camera. I havent had a web camera for about 5 years and this camera is only mildly better than that one. Videos are ok, a little choppy so if you plan on moving...beware. the sound is excellent though. The pictures are grainy and dont compare to cameras in laptops like Mac. You pretty much have to be right next to a window mid day to get a good picture without it looking cheap.I say if you want it as a just in case you want to video chat type of camera...good choice. If you have a vlog or do a lot of important video chats I'd upgrade.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-7000 Win USB seems to be a good webcam. However, I cannot get the video and audio to work together smoothly without a jerking motion.

I have no problem with the clip, it sits perfectly on top of my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Notebook. The camera also works fine with Yahoo Messenger. The sound is clear and the picture is sharp.

Great Item for the price.Works well with my laptop. Just unwrapped it and attached to my machine. Its working.. I am pleased the way it is showing the pics.Good deal on the webcam for low price.

Good, solid webcam. Works great with Skype. The only moderately annoying issue is when you press the button on the camera (in Windoze), a pop up appears saying "...call button only works with Windows Live Messenger, do you want to install it now"? There may be a way to turn that off without installing Live Messenger but I haven't looked for it because it doesn't bother me.

I downloaded Windows Live Messenger as was recommended. It took forever to download but since then I haven't had any problems with it. The web cam is easy to use and the picture and microphone are good. The only disappointing feature is that the clip to my laptop isn't as good as I thought it would be. Otherwise I'm happy with the NX-3000

Easy to follow instruction guide and to get working. Worked well when I communicated with my son via AOL instant messenger. Haven't tried to use with any other application yet. It is amazing.

all i can say is even with a weak connection this webcam has performed better than many of the others i have bought and used and it is easy to use and install i say all around good camera
