This is mainly for my own amusement, but I'm just about to leave my desktop (which is in the corner of our basement) and wander around the house to see how well the range works.Stop 1: across the room, about 30 feet away. Still very crisp.Stop 2: up the stairs, toward the kitchen, it noticeably starts cutting in and out really badly. At this point, I wouldn't really expect it to work.Stop 3: in the kitchen, still probably about 30 feet away but now with a floor and a couple walls between us. If I keep my head still, it retains a "relatively" solid connection, but I'll probably continue using a stereo while I do the dishes.Stop 4: the bathroom. A little closer to the source, but still thru the floor. Works well.Stop 5: in the room directly above my desktop: it goes thru the floor and a layer of R23 insulation amazingly well. It's just like I'm at the desktop.Stop 6: Outside... better than I expected! It was really shaky on the porch, but if I stood still, it actually worked reasonably well. When I got closer to the window well nearest the desktop, it worked as if I was just in the room. It worked best when I was in a certain radius of the window, but it did go through the masonry to an extent. The receiver must be in the right headphone; it worked far better when I was oriented that way.Obviously, I wouldn't necessarily purchase these if your primary goal is to wander around with them and expect a super clear signal. But it sure is neat and it lends itself to a lot of nice nuances when you're actually sitting at the desk. There's no cord in your way, so you don't have to worry about your arms pulling on the cord and knocking a beer all over your keyboard. You don't have to decide how to lay the cord on your desk and get it tangled with your mouse or run it up through your shirt or anything. You can get up and move around... you have some freedom! You can wander a reasonable distance and get a drink, or even use the bathroom if it's not too far. Really cool! The reason I bought these is because I wanted a headset for playing online games. Voice comes across super clear, and the microphone works significantly better than the one on the $25 Hewlett Packard pair my roommate bought the same day. I wouldn't necessarily use it for recording, but I might give it a try some day to see how good it really is. I wouldn't expect it to replace my h1 Zoom anytime soon, though. They are reasonably comfortable to wear, providing a snug fit on my head without squeezing. After about the length of one charge (~6 hours, according to Logitech, and about the time it started beeping at me to plug in the charger) my ears were feeling only slightly sore, which is much nicer than some other headphones I have used. Your ears will vary, of course. Both the sides fold up, compacting it somewhat, but it's not the most collapsible pair of headphones out there. Folded, it makes an ellipse that's about six inches by three inches, as opposed to 6x6 (roughly) when open. The microphone rotates up to be in flush with the headband, and it's a little bendable. It doesn't spin the whole way around, so you'll be stuck using it on the right side unless you can talk out the back of your head. The controls are all on the right side, with the USB charging port at the very bottom. It's the trapezoidal looking kind, and I'm not sure what it's called but I do have a few other devices that use it, including my non-smartphone, so that's not so bad. The included cord length was comparable to other headphones, around 4 feet and I didn't experience any interruption when I plugged it in after hearing a pleasant beep-beep-beep. The mute button seems easy enough to press (a little too easy maybe) and the on-off switch is a slider with a little light.Aesthetically, I like them. They look just like they do in the picture, no garish design. The plastic looks a little cheap and does leave some fingerprints if you care about that kind of thing.Software wise: when I plugged the USB transmitter into my Windows 7 PC and turned them on, the drivers installed automatically and they took over my sound from my speakers. I discovered a little program called Vista Audio Changer which seems to allow you to switch playback back and forth between devices so that you don't have to pull out the USB transmitter every time you want to switch back to speakers. (And lose the dang thing! It's tiny.) I think it also lets you specify which programs to output to which device if you wanna spend time configuring it. I'm sure there are other ways to do it, too, but just something to keep in mind.Sound quality: listen: Don't expect great bass. And do expect a little distortion on the higher end. These will not replace your music-listening headphones, even if you plan on using them within a meter of the transmitter. They're fine for listening to music at a low volume, but cheap-o ear buds honestly sound better than these. I don't know if that's due to the transmis

I'd give this 4 and a half stars, if I could. Background: I've used a number of different types of headsets over the years (wired) on my computer and various music players (CD players, MP3 players, etc.)with varying degrees of satisfaction. Sound quality and comfort have always been key factors. Was ready to make the wireless jump.I've got a wireless keyboard and mouse (also Logitech and using a single USB wireless receiver for both) and it made sense to consider a wireless headset option as I now use Skype frequently throughout the day and really would like the option to move around while talking (We've tried actual Skype phones. Simply do not work. Two different and not cheap models.)I also like having the option to move away from the computer, to another part of our home office/living room to listen to music and watch videos without having to up the volume and disturb others or my neighbors. (I work until the wee hours of the morning and while external speakers work very well on my computer, the idea is to minimize noise for my neighbors.)This headset worked right out of the box and it's easy--provided you heed the illustrated setup. The most important thing to know: the USB Wireless Nano receiver MUST be plugged directly into a dedicated USB port for the headset to work. It will not work plugged into any type of USB hub (at least the three different types we have; maybe it will work for you on your computer. Just a heads up.). I don't know if this is standard for other wireless headsets, but it is the same for my wireless mouse and keyboard. The only other adjustment was to switch the playback and receiver options on the computer (Skype did a sort of alert and allowed us to select the change in device.). It doesn't do that automatically the way we have it set up and that's no big deal. However, since I already have one Logitech USB wireless Nano receiver that allows both my keyboard and mouse to work, I somewhat naturally assumed, after all the Logitech hype about how you can use the "unifying software" to add devices, that I could also add this headset as another device (what I read says you can use a max of 6 devices with one USB receiver.) on the same receiver.Try as I might, I could not add the headset (I'm going to follow up with a call to Logitech Tech support). Maybe this does not extend to headsets, but it should . If I can get it down to one USB receiver, I'll make this a five-star review. If I have to use this second USB receiver in a dedicated USB drive, that's a problem as we only have three USB drives and LOTS of external devices that we use during the day (this is a work computer most of the time). Plugging and unplugging the receiver defeats the purpose of ease of use.I'm not a fan of over the head headsets in general (I'm a woman; it's about the hair being messed up plus I have a big head and most sets are just uncomfortable for extensive periods of time.) But this lightweight (Perhaps too lightweight? I wonder if the plastic ear and head frames, etc. might easily shatter if not packed carefully or with some sort of softening around them if you carry them around much.) headset IS comfortable. I've worn it around for a couple of hours and it is easy to forget I'm wearing it.These are its plusses from my perspective:>>Excellent sound quality. On both the incoming and outgoing calls, while playing music and watching videos (streaming and otherwise). This alone is reason to consider this model.>>Range. I live in a pre-war apartment building with very solid and heavy walls. I could hear equally well beyond the office/living room where the computer is, into all three of my other rooms. It was only when I entered my "blocked on all sides by walls" kitchen that the sound was compromised. (This is similar to what happens when using our cell phones in the apartment or in various parts of the building.)To be able to wear these in the bathroom while getting dressed to listen to music or the radio (on the computer)? Wonderful. I'm sure my guests and co-workers feel the same way.I now get a lot more out of my computer usage and that's a huge plus for me as I'm online watching and listening to stuff for work all day. Having the ability to get up and take a bathroom break, check on something in the kitchen and even hear in the bedroom is fantastic functionality.>>Easy setup. Worked right out of the box.>>They fold up. But you'll need to supply your own protective device to protect them if you're gonna cart them around with you and/or pack them for travel. (See comments below.)>>Sound containment.I turned the sound up to full blast while listening to intense music and the person sitting next to me could not hear a thing. (Wish these would work on MP3 players and phones, especially in public places. Really, I do not want to hear your playlist at full blast while commuting.)Not as crazy about, but not a big deal:>>Placement of the on/off switch and the mute switch on the sides of the plastic circle rim around

Review of the Logitech Wireless Headset H600Ease of installation: LESS THAN 3 MINUTES = EXCELLENTRemoving the headset from the plastic packaging is the most time consuming part of installation. There are a few sticky tabs to pull, and one plastic tab holding the headset in place and that's it. It took me about 15 seconds to have the USB nano receiver and the headset out of the package and on my desk. The headset comes with a USB nano receiver, and a USB micro cable. The great thing is that my phone also uses the micro cable so I can use the same cable for multiple devices at my desk. Plugging these two into the computer takes about 5-10 seconds and in Windows 7 it recognized the device and installed necessary drivers in about 30 seconds.Up and running and plugged in - less than 3 minutes from package open to on and running. How to use: SIMPLE AND EASYI plugged the headset into the USB charging cable for a moment just to make sure it was ready to go and that the indicators functioned as described. The charging LED is a gentle pulse of reddish orange that turns green when the device is fully charged. The LED has other displays depending on whether you have the headset turned on or not, and how close it is to needing a charge. There is a slider switch on the same side of the headset (the right ear, where everything is located) that turns the power on and off. There is a button that mutes and unmutes the microphone. There is the microphone boom. I guess Logitech decided that it was easier to put every button and port on the same side, and that works for me. The only thing not on the right side of the headset is the nano receiver storage port - for use when you want to take the headset with you.Comfort and Feel: SOFT AND LIGHTWEIGHTThe headset doesn't feel heavy on my head, and I was worried that the boom mic would get in the way for normal headphone use, but it folds up nicely against the right side and is completely out of the way. The headset is very lightweight and I don't feel dragged down by a cord coming off of it plugged into the computer. I regularly need people to come to my computer and listen to something, so having a headset I can just hand to them and they can stand back is one of the reasons this form factor works for me.Works on the First Attempt: NO, BUT AFTER A QUICK CHANGE WORKED PERFECTLYOn my first attempt there was no sound, and the indicator light on the headset revealed that it was not connected to the nano receiver. After swapping the receiver into a different USB port on the front of my computer, the light went to solid and it connected. So on the second attempt - sound came through.Sound Quality: GOOD FOR MUSIC AND VIDEOI listen to music pretty much all day long, and also listen to video clips and movies as needed for my job. Music quality through programs like Pandora* and iTunes* seemed sufficient. I also tested out streaming music services and the quality remained consistent. A bit tinny perhaps - treble adjustment helps that. To give it a really good test, I pulled a hard hitting song from the Sucker Punch soundtrack - Army of Me by Bjork. This track has heavy bass, loud vocals, and is a good track to test out a variety of sounds. I have to admit, it wasn't bad. I set my system volume to about 85%, then adjusted via the player to get the level I wanted. It's not comparable to a standing speaker system, but I could detect all the nuances of the song that I enjoy.Next I tested with video content - both streaming and local files. Quality was the same as with audio - I could hear all the details of both voice and music. The form factor of the headset also creates a good barrier to ambient noise, so I don't have a lot of distractions while I'm listening to music or video, but can hear if someone does yell my name.Voice Calling: FUNCTIONS AS EXPECTEDFinally I tested voice calling. I used Google Talk for this test. The person on the other end could hear me clearly and I could hear them. The boom microphone was easy to move down close to my mouth, and then back up toward the earpiece when I was done. This is a function I use less often than basic headset, but if I need to, it serves the purpose.Overall I am pleased with this headset. It's light, comfortable for long use, and after a very brief configuration change it was up and running in less than 5 minutes. For the size / purpose I'm giving it a good 5 star rating. Another quality product from Logitech.

I've had it for about 2 weeks and it fulfills what I wanted from a wireless headset at a good price.Sound quality:+ Sound quality is quite decent. Sounds great for me as a non-audiophile.+ No noticeable delay. Sound seems to be instantaneous from my PC, whether I'm sitting next to my PC or on my bed.Wireless range:+ Clear sound quality up to about 15+ feet. I mostly use it either sitting beside my computer or from my bed, which is less than 10 feet away and everything is crystal clear. I could even use it from the room right beneath mine and could hear everything just fine.- At about 20-25 feet(1 room away), there is some slight but noticeable crackling and beyond that sound starts cutting in and out.Price:+ Cheap and from a reputable company. (I shied away from the Plantronics 995 headset because it doesn't work while charging)Comfort:- Headband is a little bit small. It is extendible, but even at full length, I can feel the top of the band touching my head. I do have a larger than average head though, so you might not have the same problem.+ However, after using for awhile, I found that it wasn't that bad for me either. Overall, it's actually more comfortable than my old pair which used to pinch my ears and glasses. I've worn the headset for probably 5+ hours at a stretch with no problems.+ The earphones are covered with a pillow cushion and can actually swivel slightly to account for ear shape, which I find makes it more comfortable.Build quality:- When you fully extend the earphones, the inner headband material is made of a pretty cheap/flimsy feeling plastic. Haven't had any problems so far, but I feel like I need to treat it carefully or I might twist off one side some day.- Buttons also feel a little cheap.Minor gripes:- Volume up/down buttons have to be pressed or held down to change volume. While it's not that bad, I would've preferred a dial or slider for faster volume changes. But at least they do have a way to control the volume from the headset itself.- Microphone could be positioned a little further out. Right now it's almost touching my cheek when I lower it.Note/Tip:If your headset refuses to connect to your transmitter, try downloading the re-pairing utility from the Logitech website for the H600. My headset wasn't connecting when I first received it, but the utility is easy to use and I had mine up and running a few minutes later. I once accidentally left it on overnight draining all the battery and it refused to connect, even while charging (with a rapid orange blinking light). Running the pairing utility again fixed it.Conclusions:Recommended if you're looking for an affordable wireless headset, especially if you don't intend to use it too far from your machine (say, within the same room). I was worried at first due to reports of crackling sound quality but for my use I haven't noticed any. Plus, I decided to gamble a little because Logitech does have a pretty good reputation when it comes to customer service. And it paid off, all in all a good purchase.

I'm pretty particular about sound quality. I usually wear sound-isoloating in-ear phones; Shure or Etyomics. I got these for a gift and expected them to work well on Skype but that I wouldn't be able to stand to listen to music on them, given that they are cheap mass-market over ear phones and wireless. They're not studio monitors, but I've been very pleasantly surprised. The definition and separation is outstanding, and there is no noise or distortion. I was actually able to hear some nuance in a couple of songs that I hadn't identified before. Sound is relatively neutral if a bit warm: mid-range seems boosted and perhaps high and low end clipped -- as would be appropriate for voice -- but that's actually an improvement over typical consumer music products which boost the low and high end obnoxiously. The sound doesn't seem overly processed though there does seem to be some presence added.I tried them with Bill Evans, a Haydn Quartet, Beethoven's 9th, Earl Scruggs, U2, Radiohead, Bad Religion and Black Crowes. As would make sense given above, they are nicely suited for the intimate Jazz, Classical, Singer-Songwriter stuff, and even some of the more subtle electronic stuff like Kid A, but were not so great for large ensemble stuff and pretty much suck at heavy Rock and Punk. I'd go so far as to say that they sound as good as my previous over-ear Sennheiser HD435s (mid $$). One thing that I didn't appreciate was just how annoying those earphone cables are and how nice it is not having them. Nothing beats in-ear phones for sound quality, but for anything less than serious listening, that advantage really outweighs any small differences in audio quality with other over-ear headphones. The bottom-line is that they're more than decent for day-to-day listening, and the comfort and low-annoyance factor means has me listening to music while working again.Only negative so far -- as a software developer, I'm particularly sensitive to poorly thought-out software and Logitech software is exactly that. But except for install, that didn't really affect my user experience, so it's not reflected in rating.Hope this helps the other pseudo-audiophiles out there!

Ужасно

When I first got this headset, I liked the lightweight build and the padding. It was very comfortable. I had some connections issues... it would not connect for sound when it was plugged into USB. I had to disconnect the USB charging cord first, then connect for sound. Once it was running I could reconnect the USB charging cord. Once I had it fully charged it worked fine for a while. But sometimes I had to re-sync it with the base and other times just had to cycle it a few times to get it to connect and have sound.I tried for 2 weeks to see if it had other issues... and it did. When it discharged and recharged I could no longer get any sound and had to reboot the computer to get it to work. Not sure if it was a driver issue with the AMD Radeon sound drivers or just the driver with the headset, but this was the only headset I've had issues with. Also, when they disconnect or die from a low battery, the Skype call gets a high-pitched wine that nearly blew eardrums on the other side. Never got a sound notification that the battery was dying, just stopped working.I decided for the price I could not live with the issues and returned them for a USB wired headset for now.Other than the connection issues, the sound and comfort were great. Used them about 12 hours in the 2 weeks. I have had 4 different Logitech headsets over the past 8 years and like them. They get a LOT of use.
