Overall I'm happy with the headset, however thickness of the cable is excessive and makes it uncomfortable to wear them for a long time. Audio/microphone have the same characteristics as previous H530 model.

I really like the mute button for when I have to cough and things like that. Very convenient, crystal clear sound.

Purchased for use with the Fluenz dvds to learn Italian. Absolutely no issues, good clarity using with my MacBook Pro, which is 6 years old.

This headset is amazing. I got this as a warranty replacement for my H530 and it blows. The headset is redesigned to look much better and even more comfy than the original. Buy this! The only thing that it lacks is sound quality. The sound quality is nothing special but everything else is great. Has a nice glossy feel and very sturdy construction.

After dog chewed my last set... I needed a new headset. This Logitech H540 worked flawlessly out of the box and I couldn't be more pleased. Highly recommended for anyone using skype or recording camtasia videos.
