Easy to use joystick. I don't like the fact that you have to have the logitech software running when using this joystick though. It sucks up some memory, although not much at all.

Im new at using joysticks.It works well for the game i play. im still learning how to set it all up the way i want.Buttons are hard to set up ,i think.

Bought two of amazon one lasted five years , while other lasted a year and a half. On my third one I like the buttons , overall you can't beat the price. If you looking for calibrating software it comes included with joystick or you can just use windows control panel and use game controller , properties, test,settings then calibrate. Then your finished. It takes awhile to get use too. Overall happy with.

well, its good. it doesn't stick, and its nice and smooth, plenty of buttons on it. But, it does get hard to push from side to side.

I bought this joystick to play Flight Simulator 2004 and FSX with and love it. It has every button I needed to use and was very comfortable to hold. The base is very stable and I didn't feel that I was chasing the joystick all over my desk. For someone who is a beginner at simulators or flying, this is a great starter joystick. For someone who is a serious sim-player or pilot wanting to brush up on their skills, I recommend getting a yolk and peddal combination.

I have an older one from three years ago. It is strong and works good. But, I did have some trouble. Apperantly because the potentiometer's lube got dry. I got some tuner cleaner spray and sprayed the sensor pots, from the wire ends, and it seemed to fix it. I did have to take it apart and put it back together, though. It is likely that the newer units have better lube. Note that these joysticks self-calibrate when Windows is started. So, if you have your computer on all day, re-start Windows before starting the game. Otherwise, it might be drifty.

The 3 D joystick works well. Would be nice if it had info on all the buttons. Some buttons are duplicate to others that work. Takes time to look for what you want the airplane to do. Do not see it as any better than my old msn Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick except it is heavier.

i use this joystick all the time. i usually play il sturmovik and msn combat simulator. i love the way the controller can shift between games seamlessly. you do have to do a setup for each game, but a small price to pay . it works great.

I am using this joystick primarily with Flight Simulator X. After re-assigning the buttons the way I like them, the joystick performed quite well. My only complaint is that I do not like the way it centers. I am not getting positive feelback when centering the stick. This sometimes makes it difficult to maintain level flight.Other then that, it is well built and priced right.

I purchased this stick locally, as it was:A) the only stick of the three local PC shops that had force feedback (1 of the shops didn't even carry joysticks anymore, best buy only had like 2-3 in shop and this is in the SF Bay Area)B) felt the most comfortable and solid in build qualityI have read all the positive reviews of saitek products but the build quality of them seems very low to their price ratio so I wanted to avoid purchasing one. They just look and feel very cheap to the touch so I wanted to try something different.I've owned the logitech stick for about a week now and will return it and try a Saitek Evo Force joystick. My main reasons are that there doesn't seem to be much support for the stick and that it's way too finicky in games. You will spend more time configuring the settings to the joystick than you will actually gaming. It's just way too sensitive and the center spring is not smooth enough so all movements are ridgid and feel as though you are fighting with plastic teeth (which you well are I guess) The logitech profile software that is pretty much essential in order to use this stick but also leaves a big footprint. Not really that important in the age of 2 gigs of memory and dual core cpus but I already have 4-5 other programs that must be run at all times in the background and would prefer not to have another. Especially when it leaves a 20+ meg footprint at times.My last joystick was a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback pro that I owned about 5-6 years ago. I remember what a great joystick it was and it seems as though nothing has topped it since. My impression of the logitech joystick to my memory of the sidewinder is poor. After using the joystick for a week and finally at the end of my patience trying to calibrate it in Il-2 :FB I would rate it poorly.

I use the joystick for fs2004 and it works like a charm. It has a hat switch wich can come in handy for when you want to look around the cockpit. It has 12 programable button wich you can customize for your own personal enjoyment. Over all it is pretty cool for the price

This is another great quality product from logitech, actually it works as it says, but.... you need to search a lot and use some third party programs to do it. It is well built and feels very well on the hand...i bought for Battlefield 2, 80 % pleased with product..

I got this joystick for my Flight Simulator and it is just what I needed! The special feature of twisting stick is a must to easily control the rudder pedals (and therefor to move the rudder) and also for turning properly during aircraft taxing.It got 11 buttons + trigger (that counts twelve), hat switch for easily move your view and the throttle control for smoothly manage your engines power.Overall, it behaves perfect, doesn't tip over, smooth sensation. I recommend this control device if you like flight simulators, I don't use it on anything else but will see if it got good use.Oh btw, as soon I plugged the device into my front usb port, WinXP did the rest, I didn't have to use the installation CD, and my flight simulator software detected it too when I first run the game after installing the joystick.What can I say... I am a happy customer, x'D

It totally controls the movement of the planes, pretty good sensitivity. Like the way it shakes when the plane is moving on the runway. Great product,!

I've been using this joystick with rudder control for Flight Simulator X and have no complaints. It has fully programmable buttons for whatever function you'd like. I replaced an old Gravis stick and this one is much better. Can't beat the value. It's a great joystick at a great price.

I've used this joystick for about a year now. Originally, the joystick worked perfectly with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. But after about 9 months of moderate use (4-6 hours/wk), the joystick began to lose its calibration, especially in the twist portion. Having owned 3 joysticks previously, I was expecting this to occur because of typical fatigue on the spring. What I did not expect was that Logitech does not provide any software to calibrate the joystick, which is necessary to compensate for the inaccuracies caused by the fatigued spring. I tried to search online for any calibration utility, but to no luck. I don't know; maybe Logitech does have calibration software associated with the stick and I just missed it. But at this point, the stick has becoming annoyingly unaccurate that I'm almost ready to purchase a new stick...and I'll make sure ahead of time that it can be calibrated.

I received this product for Christmas and was at first impressed, the overall make of the joystick is sturdy and ergonomic (though it wasn't really ergonomic for me, because I'm left-handed). Unfortunately, it was oversensitive, even when I went into Logitech's software to lower sensitivity.I could have lived with the sensitivity, since there are several third-party programs that help with Logitech's sensitivity and calibration, like DXTweak2. The only problem was that whenever I rebooted my computer the settings wouldn't register on the stick upon next play. So basically I could get my settings perfect for the game I'm playing but then as soon as I shut down the computer the next day I'd have to figure out those settings again. It was just way too much of a hassle.Fed up, I ended up returning it to Comp USA and traded it in for a Saitek Cyborg Evo, which is about $30 cheaper then this stick and handles much better.

I bought this joystick for gaming on my Mac and was a bit disappointed when the box arrived and it said "PC only"... However, I plugged it in to my iBook and it worked just great on Battlefield 1942 even without installing any drivers (I'm using OSX). I also can use it on my Windows PC without any problem. It comes with a drivers CD for Windows.It improved my game 100% when flying planes in Battlefield, I would definitely recommend this to anybody who plays games in which flying is involved. It's pretty sturdy and quite large, and very comfortable to hold, though it's definitely for right-handed gamers only.It has a separate throttle control (a lever that you push forward or backward) that's quite sensitive, and the handle twists left and right to control the rudder (as well as moving 360 degrees like any other joystick). There are 13 buttons so there's plenty of choice when mapping your controls.Personally I much prefer this joystick over one that comes with force feedback - the vibration works against what you're trying to do and makes playing harder. You can't beat this joystick for the price.After this I could never go back to playing Battlefield using only mouse and keyboard. It takes the gaming experience to the next level.

Once again logitech has brought the best product that balances quility and price. I got this item last week and I was thrilled with the quility, looks, feel, and preformance of this joystick. I am right handed but working with the left hand with these isnt nearly as comfortable. Overall it is a great product however I think it should have more programmable buttons and more comfortable on the left hand.
