Ужасно

I was very excited when I bought this camera but be very careful because the requirments say it is compatible with Win XP. This cam is only compatible with Win XP service pack 2, so if you cannot get service pack 2, the camera is a useless piece of junk.

The product i received doesn't include a headset. A replacement didn't include it either. I still don't know if amazon is mixing up the 2 models of Pro 5000 (w/ and w/o a headset) in shipping, or if the product description is simply wrong for the model they are selling.

After reading some reviews with installation problems, I was careful in following the directions closely, and all went well installing on XP-Home. Since this is my first cam, I can't compare it to others, but am please with the picture quality, and think it was a good buy.

My daughter and two grandchildren moved to California and we wanted to see them more often. Therefore, they already had a web-cam and I thought it would be an easy thing for us to get a web-cam and connect with them for both sound and video.I purchased the pro-500, it arrived and I installed the software and then the USB connection as directed per instructions. Downloaded the MSN access and Pro-500 upgrage to the software that came with the purchase. That night I was able to connect with,talked to and saw the family in California. GREAT picture and sound.Next day however, I tried to use MS-Media player and was faced with steady static from all speakers.I Contacted Logitech service and they told me that I have a defective unit and should return it for replacement.Went to Amazon.com, made request for replacement, downloaded shipping label, and two days later made the return shipment. Guess what the replacement Web-cam arrive at my door the day I shipped the defective unit back to Amazon. This is trusting your customer to the 10 degree.Installed new unit and we are connected to the family in California. Great web-cam and greater service from Amazon.Have not had too much time to play with the options but all has gome well to date. Face tracking is great, and sound correction to eliminate echo is working but needs more adjustment.

As a Logitech user I've been using most of their cameras at one time or another and the 5000 is in my opinion is best for the money.

Великолепно

Excellent picture and sound quality. Very easy setup.Great features.I bought two of these when my in-laws moved out of state (one for us and one for them). It has been an Awesome way for them to keep in touch, especially for my 2 yr old son who really enjoys talking/seeing them via the webcam.Highly Recommend!

The camera is excelent, good image, nice headphones, one of the best. I love it.I read about some incompatibility problems with xp media center edition on some notebooks. I have the Qosmio F25 from Toshiba and its true....but easy to fix (it was easy to me). You have to disable de built in mic (from the camera), its seems to cause some problems. You can tray to disable de tv tuner too.Go to : My Computer >> view system information >> Harware >> Device Manager >> Sound, video and game controllers >> right click on logitech microphone and disable. (if doesnt work make the same for tv tuner).....I use the camera on my workstation pc and it work perfect, without disable anything (Pentium 4 core duo 2.8, 1 ghz RAM, windows xp pro sp 2).Sound (Clear), Image (nice colors good exposure), wide angle view (excelent), software (easy to use and fun), good Headphones....I really recommendGood luck

Excellent product. Very easy to install. I've installed it on a Dell 12.1 laptop with Windows XP pro. Works seamlessly with Skype. My friends and family tell me that the picture quality and sound is the best they've ever experienced. People I talk with do not experience any echo at all.The only downside is that it's a bit large and doesn't fit that well on top of my laptop screen-- it's not stable. If you have a thin screen (less than 0.5 cm) then you might experience the same problem. It won't fit that easily on a CRT monitor either but on normal LCD monitors I think it would be fine.

I purchased this WebCam for my son and didn't expect that I'll enjoy it as well.Three things I like:1) The image is better than I expected2) Face tracing feature. Surely camera doesn't move with the face, but if you zoom in, it traces the face within the "unzoomed" window.3) You can put virtual glasses on and use other tricks.Addition after two years of using the camera.All positive things above are still relevant. But it appears that WebCam drivers can conflict with iPhone/iTunes (blue screen on connecting iPhone to PC USB). As I understand from Internet it is common issue for Logitech cameras though other cameras can have the problem as well.

The picture and resolution are really good. The sound using the mic from the camera is a little sketchy, but I am told it sounds better if you use a head set.

The camera itself is great, but some of the special features don't work properly. I did download software from the website as suggested from other reviewers, and I still have issues. However I'm to lazy to remove it and try again. It works fine for what I need it for! The picture quality is very good and the price was very reasonable.

went back and forth through some other webcams. picture quality was always...so,so. so then, i thought i'd try this one out.glad i did :)picture quality is crisp and clear...so clear in fact that my poor wife is afraid people will see her facial lines. oy. actually, she's pretty strong. she'll be okay.anyway, with the troubles i had read about in some reviews here concerning the drivers, i went to logitech's web site and doenloaded th newest ones. installaion was a breeze and in no time my wife was talking to a relative though skype in Colombia...lines and all!great camera. i hope you all enjoy it when you get it.

Великолепно

I have tried the top end cameras from Microsoft, Logitech and Creative. For video quality this is by far the best. The software is a little quirky with Media Center Edition of Windows but I have found that as long as you unplug the camera before booting or re-booting it works fine.Once you have it running, I have checked the video quality on Skype, MSN Live and SightSpeed and the quality is better than the Microsoft LifeCam 6000, the Logitech Fusion, and the Creative. On top of the imporatnt stuff, the kids will ove the software. Highly recommend this camera.

I bought the cam based on reviews that I read and was aware of the shortcomings regarding the software. The shortcomings with the software are that you cannot use their microphone driver without getting the "blue screen of death". Logitech knows of the problem and had a fix on their website. The fix works but you ending using the native microphone driver. Doing this prevents the use of Logitech's echo reduction feature.That aside, the camera is excellent and that made it worth the price. I'm hoping that Logitech will fix the software sometime in the next millennia

I bought this webcam because we wanted to use it with family on the other coast from us since we now have a small baby who our family doesn't get to see very often. It works very well overall, sometimes the picture gets a bit grainy and delayed and sometimes the volume doesn't work (but it could be the web service we are using too, I am not sure). But for us, for our needs, overall we are really pleased as it does what we need it to. And our family loves seeing our little one as does she of them.

It is a good webcam better than Pro 4000 which I had bought earlier. The images are sharper than the previous version. The only problem is it gets struck while chating even when we use high speed internet. Good for indoor recording along with PC or notebook.

I can't install this camera on 2 of my 5 computers, even with the help of their tech support. Installing the driver blue screens on both of my laptops (Dell and Toshiba). On the computer it does install on, it won't install on my USB 2.0, only on the 1.1Even though the camera is installed on a slower usb port, the face tracking actually works and is nice, but aside from that one feature, my cheaper (1/2 price) Logitech webcam is every bit as good and a works on all my computers without issue.

Works exactly as advertised; easy to use with Skype, with good image quality- nice auto zoom and head-follow features. Only deficiency is insecure seat on top of my monitor. I would prefer a more secure method for keeping the cam attached and in place.

I have used this product, and I just want to say "it's excellent", you don't need to use a headphone or a microphone to use it.The people can watch and hear you very clearlyThe software install was quick and easyI have used the Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro, and I can say that I prefer this Logitech QuickCam Pro 5000 WebCam, because you can set it in any place and the quality is the same, but the problem with Logitech Quickcam for Notebooks Pro, is its clip, because there some notebooks that you can't use it.

Having owned the $19-30 models and experienced poor video with no sound or poor sound, the Pro 5000 is like the mercedes of the video cams. Great video and sound, along with awesome face tracking. Money well spent.

The Logitech was easy to install and use. I purchased two. This product was recommended to me by a friend who only purchases the best in technology. So if it's good enough for him then it's good enough for me and it helps that the price is reasonable. I'm happy with my purchase. I gave a 4 star instead of 5 because i think the clarity can be improved, however, for the price i am not complaining.

The cam itself looks very sleek and advanced. As for the quality, flawless. The only con it has would be the software and the drivers. On my computer it seems that the drivers have some compatibility issues with windows xp. The cam cannot be plugged in before you start the computer or else the computer will restart itself due to a serious error from the drivers installed. Other than that, great cam.

This is a wonderful product with one exception. The software has some conflicts with other programs that deal with photos such as Adobe photoshop and other commercial photo programs. It causes problems with Adobe Acrobat too. If you buy only download the drivers and not the software. The software is only needed if you are going to take pictures with the web cam. Use a digital would be my recommendation

Image wise, this cam is probably the best in the market, period . However, Logitech needs to solve some incompatibility issues with windows xp. After installing the Quickcam 5000 my computer would only boot up to a black screen. A quick web search found many others around the globe having the same problems. Apparently it has to do with some audio features of the cam, nonetheless I had to go back to my old cam until Logitech comes up with a decent solution. Some people seem to have had a smooth ride though, so try at your own risk.

The webcam worked GREAT! An exception to that, the software messed up both of my computers! I read all those reviews about the problems with the software, i thought by now Logitech notice the problem and fixed it, pssh i was wrong. I dont think this is just my problem, i think a lot of people also have the same problem as me.

I purchased 2 of these cameras a few weeks ago, one for myself and the other for my boyfriend who lives on the west coast. We have been using Live Messenger (the new version of MSN) with the camera and are pretty impressed with the picture quality. While this camera is pretty expensive (compared to say the Logitech BuddyCam pak which comes with 2 cameras for around $50-$60), the extra features that are enabled with this camera, make it well worth the price. The face tracking and the ability to zoom in and zoom out are some of the best features. We chose to only use the cameras for video and our cell phones for the audio, since the audio can be very choppy at times with all the internet congestion. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a more high end camera that is under $80.

The quality of the picture is great, and my kids have a great time with the things you can superimpose over your face, it looks just like the special FX that is done on TV. It is a great cam and I would purchase again if I had to do so.

This is our first web camera. We are not computer wizards - we simply wanted to see and visit with our family over MSN Messanger. The camera was easy to set up and is very easy to use. Both the picture and the sound are excellent. We're very satisfied.

Love the low light conversion no matter what light your in this camera will adjust to it and if your in web chat folks on the other side can see you just fine. I've used other cams but this is the best by far. It has all kinds of extras that are easy to use, doesn't take a computer genious to work this little cutie!

It is great. I put it on one computer, and I loved the results. I put it on another one and I discovered that with an AMD processor, I had to do a little work. After making sure my DirectX was updated, it works fine. I highly recommend it.

Camera looks great, but crashes system every time I plug in to USB port. I am running Windows XP SP 2 on a 2.4 GHz P4 with 1 GB memory so there should be no system issues. I downloaded the updated software from Logitech and this didn't fix the problem. I plan on returning the camera.Also, according to the support email I got back from Logitech, which was no help, "The Logitech video cameras are compatible with the USB 2.0 specification, but not compliant. This means the Logitech camera will function properly when plugged into a USB 2.0 port, but the webcam feature will function with the USB 1.1 specifications. The biggest difference between the two USB specifications is speed. So the webcam will work and have full functionality, but it will run at the maximum 12Mbits/sec speed of the USB 1.1 specification."
