The QuickCam Connect is perfect for those who are looking for a basic webcam. Set-up is simple, operation is convenient. The QuickCam Connect also has a focus ring, which allows you to manually focus the image from close to far from the camera, so you don't necessarily have to put it right on top of your computer. Also, the attached stand fits easily onto laptop computers, desktop computers, or can stand alone on a desk or table.

This Webcam is extremely compact and delivers a pleasing image even in low light. Increasing light on the subject does, however, improve the image quality, as it does with most any camera. While the images it produces are not quite as good as Logitech's Pro model the results are still satisfying.Designed for notebook computers, this Logitech model is lightweight and travels well in its included soft pouch. I have both used this Webcam model and given them as gifts and they've worked great with Sony VAIO, Dell and Sharp notebook computers. There have been no issues with the clip on those computers. Manually adjusting the color, white balance, contrast and intensity produced more pleasing results for me than the automatic mode.I HAVE had issues with the built-in microphone, which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. While video conferencing via Skype or Yahoo Messenger, the audio will disappear and be replaced by static. The only way to eliminate the problem is to disconnect and then reconnect. Since this can happen several times per minute, the problem is more than just occasionally annoying.Downloading and installing the newest software from Logitech's Website resolves the audio problem. Therefore I recommend downloading and installing Logitech's newest software instead of using the disk that comes with the camera. Then allow the program to automatically install more updates when you re-boot your computer.For privacy, I use a Philips VOX130 Mono Bluetooth Lapel Style Earbud Headset, which I also use with my cellphone, with very pleasing results and still do not need to be teathered to my computer.

I am very pleased with the logitech QuickCam. I bought it for my Mother so we could see each other and talk over the internet as we are planning to move out of state. The sound is great, the picture is very good for the price, and it was so easy to install. I would definitely recommend this product.

I've had this camera for over one year now. It does what it's supposed to do without much setup or hassle. The "face follow" feature is a gimmick to me and although it does follow the face quite well, it is more annoying than functional. Despite this, I still recommend this product mainly because of its ease of use and simplicity.

I bought his web cam a few weeks ago. Installation was very easy. It worked the first time without any problems. The video quality is excellent. However, when my laptop sits idle overnight, the audio portion of the web cam stops working. Rebooting the computer seems to fix the problem (takes time). Also, I have had some success with using the built-in audio tuning software to get the audio to work again.

I love my new webcam! The picture is so clear and sharp and I don't need much light in the room for it to look great! It takes pictures also, which is awesome. The sound is amazing and clear. It's good for chatting and also video blogs! This is definitely a good buy!

I bought this camera to talk long distance over the internet with my family. I really love it! It has a very clear picture, better than any of the ones my family are using. The RightLight function does a good job of picking up a good image in low light. It was super easy to install and get started. The mic works from across the room. It's a great size for travel and comes with a nice little pouch to carry it in.I read some reviews saying it didn't fit on top of some laptops...At first I thought it didn't fit on mine either, then I figured out the clamp slides open quite wide (about 3/4 in. opening). It may be a little obscure how this functions so I could understand how someone might not realize how far it expands.Overall, I'm very pleased with this camera for the price!

You can't beat these cameras for the price. The picture quality is wonderful and the ease of installation and operation is outstanding. This is a huge plus for inexperienced users. Highly recommended!

This is a great little camera, good clarity, compatible with XP and Vista. Easy to install. But be sure you use it on a laptop. The mounting clasp will not open wide enough for a regular flat screen LCD monitor. I have bought(3)three of these so far and another model that will fit the desktop monitor. I highly recommend this camera.Great price at Amazon Prime.

This camera is pretty good considering the price. My only issue is that I have to constantly adjust it so it can stay on my laptop. Other than that, its doable.

This invasive monster slowed my system and has permanently removed the change/remove programs icon from control panel. I uninstalled it and reset my system back a day and am still having problems. I did try to install it without software, but then the mic didn't work. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CAMERA. IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!

I should do a video review using the cam, but you'd not be able to see me very well. This is not worth the money. Spend the extra and get the next step up. I bought this to chat with my daughter and some friends. It is grainy, and VERY slow... i look like I am moving in slow motion ALL the time. My daughter's webcam is fantastic! It is super clear and like watching TV. No lag time or anything. The webcam was easy to install, no issues with Skype (which is what I bought it for), and it works fine on my laptop. Bright light, such as sunlight, in front of you helps with clarity a bit. There is not any microphone, but does come with a mini headset of sorts. It has an earbud with a mic on the cord. I've not tried that as my laptop has a microphone. If you have the extra to spend, get the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000. If not, and you are like me, this one will do the job, but don't expect it to be that great.

I Love my new camera... It was so easy to install and get started. With a daughter off in college and other family in other states, this has been terrific. The quality and sound were ecellent for an inexpensive camera. It was very easy to learn to use as well. Best purchase I made all year!

I also have the more than twice as expensive QuickCam Pro. The QuickCam for Notebooks is just as good. They both work great with Skype.

I have reviewed many of the webcams for sell here and consistantly see a 4 or 5 star product (such as this) get downgraded to a 1 star because of operator error or not applying common sense. Here is my take: 1.) The Cam is half the price and just as good as most of the other webcams out there 2.) The picture is clear and fairly crisp with adequate lighting provided. Stays in focus and works great with Yahoo IM as I use it. 3.) The still camera is a bonus - great for a little something extra if you need it 4.) Small, compact design and clips right on top of most all laptops without looking too out of place and can be thrown into the case with it when traveling. A little advice for the nay-sayers...If it locks up your system - it could mean that either: a.) you did not have enough light provided (it was overloaded constantly trying to update frame to frame - take a picture in the dark with no flash and let me know how it turns out...now go make a movie - duh); b.) you were overloading your old, outdated computer from 6 months ago (kidding - mine is 3 years old and it works fine when used correctly); c.) or you are using Windows Vista (Get a MAC or go back to XP) If you want a high-speed, low drag web cam that fits and operates perfectly with your laptop - Then you SHOULD HAVE HAD IT BUILT INTO your laptop! This is an ADD-ON. Spend the extra $200 next time you upgrade hardware. I use this daily from Iraq, with Yahoo Voice on a 1MB internet connection (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT IF I'M LUCKY) and have had zero, zilch, nada, no problems what so ever on a 3 year old outdated Hp Laptop(XP) with one broken light in my room...and the picture is still 10x better and the cam is 1/4 the size of the one I had 3 years ago last time I was here - for the same price. My 5 cents worth.

I purchased this item for myself and the Logitek QuickCam Deluxe for Notebooks for my children. This way, I can communicate, and periodically see, my grandchildren as they grow up. The picture is not super-clear, but it does the job.

I have been pleased with the video, but the audio on this product works so poorly that I must use a separate microphone. It appears to me to be a product malfunction.

As with most things, this webcam proved to be worth what I payed for it, which was not very much. It is decent for using with a messenger, just to talk to someone with, but I would never rely on it as a camera for photos. It's an OK webcam, nothing special, but it works.
