It's a nice little camera, however, my experience so far has been the video when using on Skype is blurry. Anyone I've called on Skype has said we come across kind of fuzzy. haven't tried it for pictures yet.

this web cam is good if you want a nice and easy one. some problems i have with it is it has a really dark picture so use it in a room with lots of light and you will be fine.if you have a short budget i would go for this cam but if u have 20$ more i would go for the more expensive ones. your not really paying for the name with webcams so the more you spend the better quality you will get

The quality of the pix on the computer with this camera is very poor, but I don't lnow if it is the camera, the computer or Skype-or if this is the state of the art of video at this time. It's better than nothing.

Great product. I assumed because it's for a notebook it would clip on my flat screen monitor. The monitor is too thick so I "velcroed" it to the top of the monitor. It works great. Also, because it's designed for a notebook the USB cable wasn't long enough to reach my mini-tower. I bought an extension and it works great. The sound is crystal clear.My daughter has a notebook computer and had no problem with the camera clipping on her monitor nor with the length of the USB cable.The images are a very clear but "hurky-jerky". I think that's from the internet and not the fault of the camera.

This camera works great as-is; however, it's difficult to interface with programs like Gmail, Skype, and AIM. This device is approved for use with Skype, but my output video always had weird yellow streaks and audio ticks. Settings are fixed for these programs and the highest resolution is only available when you want to record a video through the QuickCam softwarette. The QuickCam software caused my RealTek Audio driver to crash and now the audio hardware availability spotty even after System Restore. I do realize this is limited to my system and does not affect my product rating.

I purchased 4 of these Logitech 961400-0403 Quickcams for use with friends over Skype because of the price, performance and features. The resolution is very good for VOIP, and the face-tracking and special-effects features of the associated software work as advertised. I initially purchased a Logitech Orbcam for significantly more but these are so much cheaper with equivalent performance for VoIP that I would choose these any day.Possible improvements:1. Although the form factor is for Laptops, a wider mounting clamp for desktop LCD monitors would improve its usage. I had to fabricate one for my desktop.2. A side-to-side swivel mount would also improve its usage.

Originally we bought another webcam that came in a two pack for $30 just so my parents could use it with skype to see their first grandchild. My webcam is built in and they could see us but we could barely see them. Then I bought this webcam for approx. $30 and it's fantastic, now my daughter can see her grandparents clearly!! My parents are not very computer savvy but were able to set this up. It's basically plug and play. It's great for the quality. Great to use with SKYPE!!!

I bought this for my daughter, age 17. She set it up easily. Unfortunately, the software that came with it didn't work with our PC, but my daughter went to the website, downloaded the latest drivers, and it works just fine now.Easy set-up, easy to use, just what it says it is.

The quality of this webcam isn't excellent or anything close to a digital camera image but it's not terrible or grainy. This also comes with a few fun video effects like old movie, blockhead (distorts your face), four squares (Andy Warhol-like effect), etc. It doesn't come with the effect where an image takes over your face and detects your mouth movements.One thing I don't like is that the colors aren't very "true". The pictures have this whiteness to it. It doesn't really affect the quality but everything just appears a little whiter. You can adjust your settings but it doesn't change that. If color isn't a problem and you're looking for something basic, this should be fine. I personally didn't feel like it was worth the price. I'd rather pay a little more for something better, or pay less if I'll be getting something average either way. Before buying this, I'd been using a much older Logitech webcam so I thought this would be an upgrade. It was more like a downgrade, however. It seemed like something that came out five to ten years ago when it was only last year.

i like this camera a lot. it is easy to use, lightweight,and fits perfectly on my laptop. the built in mic and button for picture taking is perfect. the only thing i didn't really like is that it is a little difficult to hook up to aim, and skype, because the program doesn't read the camera right away, you have to go in and fix the settings. i wish there were more special effects when taking pictures also. all in all, it's a great buy!

This product is cheap-looking but gets the job done. I only recommend it to someone who owns an older laptop (such as mine) without a webcam or mic and needs something light and cheap to travel with. This product works fine for that. However, Logitech's software is awful but until I find something more stable in the open source community I am forced to use it. Also note that the zoom on this camera appears to be manual.

Video quality ok. Sometimes pauses, skips and can be jerky. Usually not too bad, though. Quality on your end is much better than your partner's end. For the price, good purchase. I use it for video chatting on Skype, and it gets the job done well.

It's not obvious, but this webcam is not compatible with macs! i was looking forward to using the camera when i got it in the mail. it might be a great camera, but there's no mac software and it doesn't work without the software. i have a Powerbook G4 (ancient in computer age), so boo.

I bought two e2500 WebCams so we could talk with my daughter who is studying overseas. The Logitech e2500 WebCam is easy to set up and works better than I had expected. The built-in mic picks up voice but no background noise and the audio is very good through the speakers. Works well with Skype and the Logitech's setting at 1.3M pixel send a large, sharp picture. I used an older Logitech WebCam before but the new e2500 and the software are both better and much improved.

This is a good webcam, for windows. If you research this product you'll find that it is supported in Linux. However, Logitech updated this camera and if you type "lsusb" in the terminal for this product you will see "ID 046d:08dd Logitech, Inc.". If you google this you'll find that no appropriate drivers are available. Do yourself a favor and do more research if trying to find a webcam for Linux. You'll save yourself;1. A couple of hours of time.2. Some money.3. A massive Linux hardware headache!

It is hard to give this a great or a bad review, so I am going with neutral, since it appears to work, but with somewhat mediocre internet connectivity it varies, so it is hard to say. However on a normal flat screen it was a little difficult to get to stay attached to the screen, which was sort of an annoyance. Still, easy setup with software and getting in with different types of webcam programs.

I use Ubuntu operating system and I found it really hard to find a webcam compatible with Linux both on the Logitech website and in retail stores. Then I found this webcam on Amazon. It is cheap and it worked with Ubuntu as soon as I plugged it in, without even the need to install any software. I would rate the quality of the video as medium as the clarity is low and there is no adjustment to external light intensity. The frame rate is good and the speed of my connection is 10Mbps.

I bought this camera for my daughter and for my girlfriend because I have what I think is an older version which is fantastic. Unfortunately I can't say the same for this. The video is choppy, lots of ghost images, and frequently goes to a still image. My daughter's is particularly bad to the point of being unusable. I'm very disappointed and am going to shop for a better product.

I definitely recommend this webcam to anybody who is considered on quality/price rating. This camera will not cost you a fortune and at the same time will give you the quality of picture. You can also modify the picture via software added to that device and create a mood of your web conversations.It is a good buy!!

The web cam works very well. Installation was easy and the cam is designed to be versatile. I would prefer a better mounting arrangement than the clip that is supposed to clip over the edge of the notebook. The clip does not have much flexibility and will not fit over a wide notebook screen frame. I had to supplement the clip with velcro to get it to remain mounted on the notebook.

This product works well, I wish it had a microphone. Kind of hard to set level on top of your monitor. Focus is adjustable.
