When it arrived I was shocked at how flimsy the plastic legs were, and that they were placed right on the edge of the screen. In order to hold this tv you need a tv unit that is at least 45" wide. Most are only around 42" ish.
The whole thing wobbles with the slightest tap because the legs are not adequate to support the weight of the tv. (In fact, when dismantling to return one of the legs snapped in half!) How much would it have cost to have cast the legs out of metal instead, an extra 50p? £1.00? Evidently not worth it for LG.
I noticed there were branding and warranty stickers on all four corners of the tv. Upon removing them it was clear to see why- the vignette on the corners was shockingly strong. It was as if there was no backlight all around the edges, there was also some backlight bleed near the bottom left, and I spotted another review who had the same issue in the exact same place.
Upon tuning it in, the picture was appauling, it looked like a 360p youtube video, and was extremely dark and dull, like an overcast day. There was no vibrancy or contrast and no brilliant whites or anything. Even a (what should have been) vibrant, bright and colourful gardening show looked dull and muddy.
Everything seemed to look less than mediocre quality and stretched out and it also appeared to be skipping frames.
No amount of altering the settings, mode, brightness or contrast improved it. Some just gave it a yellow or blue tint.
The quality of the screen was bad, build quality was really bad, if you touched the screen you felt it wobble in position, and could see the backlight change.
I was also irritated by the amount of menus and set up required in order to go through (largely unskippable) before you could tune it in to see the quality of the picture. I also have read that you need to purchase a separate remote to make the most of it, an advertising flyer for it was included with the tv. As far as I'm concerned if I am spending that amount on a TV I expect it to have a decent remote with it already, and not to have to go out and buy it separately.
I would strongly advise against purchasing this tv. I have never been fussy with tvs, but the quality of this is unacceptable for the price. I would not be paying more than £200 for something with such poor build quality, and even then I'd pick something else given the choice.
I'm sure there is much better out there for the money, have a hunt and get something better.
UPDATE: Just want to update to say I ended up returning and ordering the Philips 55PUS6753 with ambilight instead, beautiful tv and far superior picture and build quality, I have been very happy with it and 6 months on still love it :) Check out the ambilight tvs if you're looking for something extra amazing.

I would NOT purchase again I only have to keep it as I threw box away as we had skip going the same day it arrived.
The same TV can be purchases for similar price with the correct remote not this cheap remote that disables feature updated features.
Not happy would not buy again.

Tested out Netflix on it very briefly and while the current quality of the streams has dropped on the service as a result of the latest pandemic... the picture was absolutely stunning. Crisp, Clean, Clear.
I only have 1 issue with the package as a whole and that would be the included remote control is a bit weak in comparsion to the rest of the other available remotes but for the price paid - you can't complain too much about it. It would be worth looking into the Magic Remote for the complete experience.
Overall - I'm a very happy customer. Thanks for the excellent care and delivery during this difficult time we're facing.

There has been some criticism of the WebOS operating system being slow. It is slow but not so as to be acceptable. It is a TV and does not need the expensive and exceptionally fast innards of a Quad Core Gaming Copmputer. I switched the TV on and had no difficulty in understanding the on screen instructions which guided me through connecting to an internet router either by way of a Cat5 network cable or via WiFi.
One reviewer stated that it was not possible to connect to the internet via WiFi and he had to get a lot technical to connect using a cable. I can confirm I had no such problem. I selected to connect to the internet via WiFi and input my password upon being prompted and within a few seconds I was connected.
Smart Features get only 4 Stars because it is not easy navigating the slightly unintuitive on screen icons and links. For example I find myself using the Home Dashboard frequently yet it takes FIVE clicks on the remoter control to get there. There needs to be a one click method to get there.
Picture quality is briliant, I know I have switched from a ten year old plasma TV so it should be but it really is good. I changed one or two settings to select the best picture for me but it was fairly easy to do.
My TV is mounted on the wall so cannot comment on the TV legs which many reviewrs state are not very sturdy but just looking at them I would think they are correct.
Finally the remote control gets only three stars because it is very flimsy and poor quality but I am happy to cope with it and may one day spend the £30 ish they want for their apparently easier to us "Magic Remote Control". I think that should be shipped with the TV as the standard remote.
For the price I am very happy with this TV that allows me to watch Netflix without any other attachment. I allows me to connect my Bluetooth earphones to the TV to allow me to watch TV without inconveniencing others and there is a little bit of audio lag but it is so slight it is much less lag than I got with third party bluetooth audio senders. Casting my phone to the TV screen is quick and easy and I can use my smartrphone as a remote control.
I Like it.
Update 15 June 2020
Whilst most of what I say in my above review remains true, I really must reduce the rating to 3 Stars because of the WebOS operating system on the TV. It is actually and truly limited. It is a joke to call there App Store a styore because there are very very few apps available! So few in fact as to make it a bit of a joke.
Additionally casting from my Android phone or from my android tablet is unnecessarily convoluted and 99% of the time does not work. I have had to revert to using my Chromecast with the TV, which is ironic because the ability to cast WITHOUT a Chromecast was one of the reasons I wanted a Smart TV!!!
Do yourselves a favour and avoid any TV running WebOS.

It also occasionally fails to lip-synch; presumably the audio and video PIDs are not being properly synchronized upon channel changing. Changing channels again then switching back usually fixes it, but it’s £499 of new TV; I expect it to work properly.
With regard to the apps, firstly, it is very slow, which is irritating but not a fault. What is a fault is that way in which apps frequently fail to work properly, frequently freezing or just not working and presenting apologetic messages. Eventually I resurrected my old TV and tried it, and it worked fine under the same circumstances, so the fault is definitely with the LG TV.
Returned as faulty.

All I'll say is I was not disappointed. The TV is gorgeous and I love it. I did have to buy a separate stand for it as I'm not a huge fan of the two stands either side (mostly because I didn't factor those in when I bought it).
The picture quality is great and the software is pretty good. I can't complain really. I mostly just stream stuff and use it for gaming - which it's perfectly capable of doing both.
I did have to fiddle a bit to get the gaming settings quite right for me, but it's not difficult. I also appreciate that there are different profiles based on what you're watching and the TV does well to detect which is most suitable.
Can't complain really. Love it. LG customer service when calling for the warranty was also great.

I request amazon to plz cancel my order and return my money.

So, a couple of new and pricy HDMI leads later, I was almost in business. Oh, quick mention for the annoying little feet supplied with this TV. They twist loosely into place and are held by two small screws and don't really feel that secure. They are positioned a whopping 102cm apart so, to paraphrase Roy Scheider in Jaws (which I'm currently watching in UHD) you're probably going to need a bigger TV stand.
OK. Enough of the negative stuff. The bottom line here is that the image quality is quite simply superb. It comes with a handful of default settings - Vivid, Sport, Dark Room, Light Room etc. But I recommend you start with Vivid (which sets the backlight on) and gradually reduce the individual settings until you get what you want.
Audio, is surprisingly good for such a flat TV, but obviously not as impressive as connecting to your home cinema system, which I've done with an optical cable.
With loads of 4K output now available on Sky and more being added all the time, this was a very reasonable price to pay (especially on Amazon Prime Day!) to increase your viewing pleasure dramatically.
So despite the protracted setup process and the silly little feet on this TV, it performs undeniably very well indeed and I am happy to recommend it.

Sound quality is good enough through the internal speakers, we aren't needing to look at soundbars...but then again we don't expect a TV to be the same as going to the cinema eithe and our kids are light sleepers.
Only negative is that no 2020 model TVs appear to have been approved for use by the UK broadcasters (BBC, ITV etc) for their streaming services - the iPlayer app is simply shown on the LG website as incompatible with this device. I'm assuming that this is a knock on of covid-19 and non-essential things getting delayed, I'm waiting for LG to get back to me on confirming this. In the interim an old 4k Firestick is doing a good job at covering this gap in functionality. Netflix, Apple, Amazon and Youtube all work fine and update on first use.

Set up- really easy it really is plug and play. Put the stand on connected my cable box and amazon fire tv cube and just stood back it did nearly all of it by itself. Connected by cable to my broadband and all the connected features work with little or no intervention
Picture - plenty of options and excellent quality the difference between my previous tv and this is very obvious
Sound - again excellent for inbuilt speakers very clear speech and more than enough for day to day watching, I may invest in a sound bar for watching films
Design - narrow bezel good design
