After all the excellent reviews I read on this headset, I decided to go for the Jabra Halo2. I received the product and was impressed with the design and the quality of the product.. The headset is very comfortable to wear and looks very cool on top of that.. I was very impressed with the sound of such a compact headset.. the bass is more than you expect and sounds great.. ### BUT ### the Bluetooth is very unstable.. I tested the headset by pairing it with my Iphone 3GS and also my DELL laptop... The headset loses the Bluetooth signal intermittently and when I call someone they can hardly hear me. At first I thought the problem lies with either my laptop or my phone but soon discovered the Bluetooth problems is consistent if I connect it to either device and also when connecting to my Android phone and my wife's Blackberry... Since this headset has such a excellent reputation I assume I was just unlucky to receive a faulty one. I contacted Jabra support after a failed software upgrade(it came with the latest available software), Jabra took down my information to process a replacement (RMA).. However 2 weeks down the line and I still have not heard back from Jabra nor did the replacement showed up in my mailbox... I hope Jabra support can live up to expectations as I really would like to have a proper working Halo2 headset..***UPDATE***Eventually I received my replacement headset from Jabra and I have to say it was worth the wait... like I suspected from the reviews before I purchased this product, this is an awesome headset.. not only is it compact and comfortable to wear it also looks super cool and the sound is spectacular for such a small device. the Bluetooth is now working perfect and I have used it with my iphone 3GS, Samsung SIII, ASUS infinity pad and blackberry without fail. Although it took a while, Jabra did not hesitate about sending me a proper working one.. Maybe Jabra can jack up their admin procedures a little to get things out the door faster but the most important thing is that this product is a quality product for a reasonable price...Well done Jabra !

I really like these headphones. This is my first pair of bluetooth headphones though, so I cannot compare them to other options in the market. I can say that they sound great, pair with devices easily, make connections quickly when turned on, and the battery life is impressive. I'm probably most pleased with the sound; I didn't expect them to sound as good as they do. I've seen a few complaints online about the headset collecting lint, but I haven't had that problem. What I have experienced though, is a disappointing, premature wear of the felt-like material lining the inside. Especially on the edges of the headphones, this soft lining has worn away within the one month that I've had the headset. Yes, I have carried them (folded up) in the water bottle pocket of my bag, but seeing that type of advanced material wear is disturbing when it's so soon into my ownership. Also, one minor issue is that they don't stay on my head at all when I bend forward. They fit snugly on my head, but not tightly enough to stay on if I lean forward to pick something off the floor, or to fix my sock or whatever. But I'm bald, so maybe having hair would help with this. Besides the fading and this other minor falling off issue, these headphones are awesome. I would definitely recommend them to others, even with the issues I've mentioned. Great sound, great battery, nice touch features, and easy to use. Just be sure to check the volume on the headphones independent of the volume on your device (cell phone, for example). I can have the cell phone volume on maximum, but still not hear much if the headset volume isn't turned up as well.

I've had this headset for a couple of months now, and I love it. The only thing I don't love is the price - it' really expensive! I bought an adaptor for it so that it works with my Avaya 5410 Desk phone - I definitely recommend getting such an adapter if you have an office phone, as it simplifies the interaction with the desk phone (p.s. - get the electronic adapter, not the adapter that physically lifts the handset). Note that Jabra has several models for this type of headset - the one I bought works with cell phone, desk phone, and computer (via USB), but other models work with just 1 or 2 devices. Make sure you know what you're buying.Let's get into the details. When my desk phone rings, all I have to do is pick up the headset, put it on my head, and start talking. To hang up, simply put the headset back in the charger. There is no need to actually touch your desk phone, provided you get the add-on adapter. When my cell phone rings, all I have to do is pick up the headset, put it on my head, and start talking.I don't use skype, so I can't comment on that, but my understanding is the experience is similar, and that the headset knows when someone is calling you on Skype.I use Google Chat for making outgoing phone calls. To do this, I pick up the headset, put it on my head, hit the computer icon on the touchscreen, then go to google chat, type in a phone number and click the connect button in google chat.I also use it for listing to audio on my computer, usually webinars and training videos. It seems to have a power saving mode where if there is silence for 4-5 seconds, it will cut the audio off, and it takes a second or so for the audio to come back on when noise starts playing from the computer again. This results in losing that second of audio. Not a big deal for me, but it might bother you. There may be a way to turn off the power save mode, but it doesn't bother me, so I haven't dealt with it.As for the physical hardware: the base is compact, but sturdy. The equipment feels like it is well made. It doesn't slide around on the desk. You can use the headset with just the earpiece (like most bluetooth headsets) or with an over-the-head adapter. I found the over-the-head adapter to be more comfortable, but you can do it either way and it doesn't effect the functionality. You can adjust the volume by sliding your finger up and down the earpiece - it's a slick way to do the volume adjustment. The setup is a bit involved - I'm in IT, so it didn't bother me, but if you have trouble getting your DVD player, receiver, and TV all hooked up, you might want to get someone to help you get everything connected. The instructions are great, but there are a lot of wires to plug in.I haven't tested out the range too far - I've walked to the kitchen, which is about 35 feet away and through a couple of walls, and the audio quality didn't flutter at all. Audio quality has been perfect, as far as I can tell. There have been some issues in quality when using google chat, but I'm pretty sure that's due to the VoIP connection with google, not the headset.I haven't had the battery run out yet, but the longest I've used it at once has been 2-3 hours and it hasn't died on me yet, so it's good enough for me.Overall, I was looking for one headset that I could use for everything - computer, cell phone, and desk phone, and I wanted one that was wireless. This headset, while expensive, is just what I was looking for.Due to the cost, I don't plan to ever let this leave my office, even when I'm on a call and need to leave in my car. I just don't want to have to buy a replacement headset.-----------------Update!I've had the headset for 20 months now, and it's still working very well. The battery in the headset seems to be holding up well, too. I had a ridiculously long conference call today, and the battery lasted for 3 hours of continuous use before it died. I am pleased.

I first purchased this product a few months ago because I wanted a wireless headset for my phone, PC, and cell phone. The form factor is nice, and the touch display makes it easy to use. From day one, I noticed that the software has bugs. First of all, during the initial install the system configured itself for a wide range of phone systems. Cisco phones. Avaya phones, etc. Since I was using this with a standard phone, I didn't need any of these items. In addition, every few weeks my PC would lose its ability to detect the headset. Every few minutes it would come up with an error saying "Unidentified USB device." I uninstalled the software and re-installed, but the problem remained. Finally I figured out that if I disconnect the USB connection for a few hours and then plugged it back in, it would re-identify the unit. Again not ideal.About a month ago, a plastic piece on the earpiece broke off. I am not sure why this happened, but once it did the headset was no longer usable. So a 2 cent tab rendered a $200 headset unusable. I contacted Amazon, and they worked with me to replace the unit. As always, Amazon is top notch here. The replacement unit arrived quickly, and I was up and running again. However, just this morning the display on the unit died. I shut the unit down for a few hours hoping this would reset it, but that didn't help. Now Amazon is sending me another replacement. When this product works, it works well. However, given that I've had two problem units in a few months, I suspect that the quality is lacking. If I have another problem, I will simply return the unit and buy something else.

I'm finally writing this review after having owned these headphones for a couple of years now. I get a lot of compliments from people on the appearance if that is important to you.Let me first tell you how I use them. They are my office headphones. I stream music, music radio and once in a while a podcast. I do not use it for phone calls so you might check other reviews for that. I do not use these during any kind of physical activity. I'm sure they would fall off in short order. But this is also what makes them comfortable. I wear these for several hours on occasion and I never get any kind of ear fatigue. The headphones are very contemporary looking with the volume control invisible as it is activated by sliding your left finger along the outside of the earphone. There is one inconspicuous button on the right side to answer the phone with. This button is slightly concave and easy to find. The headphones are turned on by opening them. This has always made me nervous as I was concerned that fatigue would eventually cause problems with the wiring. But I use these several times a week and they are still going strong. A tiny piece of plastic did crack, and later, broke off. I was sure this was the beginning of the end but not so. They They sill work like new. That was over a year ago. Just be gentle when opening and closing and I thing you will be fine.SOUNDI love the sound that you can get out of these. If I want I can turn the volume fairly low so that I can still hear what is happening around me but not completely lose the bass. They still sound very good at low volume.BATTERIESThe one thing I have never quite figured out is that some times the charger does not seem to activate and charge the headphones. I believe that the charger needs to be plugged in, in the off/folded position. Then the headphones are unfolded to turn them on and activate charging. But I can't say with 100% certainty and the manual that came with my set wasn't clear. In any a full charge lasts, by my estimate 8-10 hours when used as headphones. If used for talking on the phone I'm not sure how the batteries would be impacted. When they are getting low you will hear an occasional beep in your ear letting you know it is time to charge.RANGEI can walk over to the copy machine with no problem. That is about 60-75 from my cube. I'm not sure how much further it would go.CONCLUSIONAfter two years of use they work like new. I would certainly buy another set. In my view, they are perfect for an office environment as you can work around your office without having to deal with cords. They allow you to keeping hearing-touch with things around you so you don't feel completely isolated. They look cool on top of it all.

I go through a lot of headphones, usually because I have destroyed the cord. So I'm always looking to try a new pair of Bluetooth headphones. These however, has to be among the worst headphones I have ever ownedI've broken down the pros and cons to explain why:Pro:Wireless: no cords to break, has allowed them to last for several months (4 months so far).Survived the squish test: I stepped on them with my shoes on, on a hardwood floor (not intentionally). The housing popped open, but they still worked. Plus for them.Cons:Wireless Range: The range on these headphones is hideously poor. They lose reception if your mp3 player is in a pants pocket on your left side (this happens constantly to me as I am a lefty). They lose reception if your mp3 player is in your right pants pocket and you put your arm in front of your pocket. They lose reception constantly when you are outside... I can't imagine working out with them, outdoors if your mp3 player or phone weren't strapped to your right arm.Sound: The high sound is fine as is the middle range, but the bass is very poor. Additionally volume is rather low, toping out at half the volume I can get with wired headphones.Battery life: Battery life on a full charge is simply awful, coming in at around 2 hours. More than enough for a work out, but not enough for a long bike ride, hike, day at work, car trip, or just about anything else. In addition you cannot use them plugged in (they turn off when plugged in). So you may need to carry another pair of headphones for backup while they charge.Comfort: I found all the included inserts to be moderately uncomfortable, but the plain circles to be the best. However, the circles kept popping off the headphones when I would charge them. It wasn't long before I lost them and the headphones without them actually cut into your ears.Controls: How much harder would it have been to include an extra set of controls for fast-forward/rewind, why force us to learn a volume managed control? And why make this control different than the in-line control on the corded version of these headphones? (which I also own). Additionally, why place the controls in such a way that you are essentially pressing down on your ear to turn up the volume or fast-forward. Your head is a solid bone and a good thing to press against... your ear is not. Conclusion:Unless you're desperate for wireless workout headphones, and you already own an armband, I'd skip these. There are much better Bluetooth offerings out there.

I use Platronix P590a for 4 years but the battery is dying and I decided to buy another Bluetooth wireless headset. I was a bit disappointed that I can't buy battery replacement for Platronix and I purchased Jabra Halo.I can compare Jabra Hallo2 with Platronix 590a. I have Jabra about 1 year now.First of all I would like to mention that the quality of sound (stereo mode) is absolutely rubbish. I'm not too fussy about the music quality but I can't listen this crap more than 5 minutes. I cannot describe exactly what they do with the sound but sounds that all Hi-frequency component of spectrum is replaced with the white noise. It is disgusting! The design is flimsy.I like the statement in the Jabra add: "You never miss a call" This is another commercial rubbish because:1. When you hear that someone calling you on Skype and you pick the Jabra you'll find out that the batteries are dead. Device consumes the battery in OFF mode and they last for a few days when switched OFF. So it must be always connected to USB or charger.2. Even if it is charged it takes about 1 min to connect so you definitely miss call.I would not recommend this product.

These are some beautiful looking, and feeling headphones. I was quite surprised by how comfortable they are. They also extend so the it's not a one-size fits all setup. Pairing was a bit tricky in fact I almost thought mine were defective. I do information technology for a living so pairing some bluetooth devices is pretty basic in my book. The key is the headphones must be FULLY RETRACTED. In other words they must not be extended. They must fully retract and click before holding the pairing button down for 30 seconds or so.Once paired these headphones were some of the thinnest and lightest over the head units I've used in a long time. They are loud and clear, but lack the bass I'd like. It's not a deal breaker, but it could use a bit more bass. The nice thing is these are more than just headphones they're actually call capable headets. So I can take a call if streaming music using my phone for example without an ugly microphone wrapping around my face.Would I buy again? Yes.Worth the price? Yes.

I always wanted a good (Bluetooth or not) cordless headset, but always had issues with in-ear headset and over-the-ear headset. Specially with longer conversations they prove to add some additional torture to lengthy conversations, not to mention actual PAIN when wearing them.I've tried numerous headsets ("ear" models) from good brands like Jabra, Plantronics, Ericsson, etc. None of them seem to work for me. I've also tried numerous "over-the-head" or "behind-the-head" models from cheap brands to reputable brands like Sony and Logitech. They all proved to be a pain to use. Typical issues include battery live to short, bulky, and still poor sound quality. This model however truly surprised me.It's lightweight, it feels very comfortable, great sound quality (both phone calls and music), great microphone (the other party didn't even hear that I was using a headset), love that it can be charged with a standard micro-USB charger (easy to get your hands on a second charger, or a car adapter), no flimsy and confusing buttons, paired right away (tried: MacBook Pro, iPad, and a HTC Android phone), gentle sound feedback with functions (volume control, next/prev song, start/end call), easy to switch on (unfold it) and off (fold it), compatible with non-Bluetooth devices (ie. Airplane), etc.The only two cons I could come up with:1) Every time I have to fold it, it feels like I'm going to break it. Others have mentioned this as well, so it wasn't a surprise. I wonder who will be the first one to report that they actual broke it.2) A case/glove for travel would have been nice. The soft padding might need some attention if I would not put it in some kind of protective glove or case.Right now I can highly recommend this headset for listening to music, and for making phone/Skype calls.

Good bluetooth headphones for use with Iphone/iPad, but when connecting to my computer for phone calls the sound was distant. I blame my computer as calls with the iphone sounded pretty good. I would recommend them for wireless music/gaming but that is about it.Looks are alright, but it is hard to find normal looking headphones with bluetooth.People complained they feel like they were going to break the headphones when closing but I never felt that way, they closed very easily, hard part is taking them off and not having them close just enough for the headphones to think it was going to shut down.

This thing is legit. I get SO MANY comments from people who are curious about it too. The included earbuds have GREAT SOUND, if you find they don't return them, they are defective! Very nice lows without losing the important higher frequencies. The call clarity is GREAT too. If you are in a real noisy place, you cannot even tell your are on it until you stop talking, then the device "strains" to listen for what it's supposed to be amplifying. I have ONLY had this problem when traveling in very noisy places though. Most times, I have had no problems and the callers aren't even aware I am on a bluetooth device. It EASILY pairs with my phone as well! I am VERY happy with it!

When I first got these, I thought these headphones were great, loved them, was so excited! They are compact and have great sound and great for travel. Now the bad news.... I have to say, I am very careful with how I handle things, and this week I was using them and extended the ear part of the headphones and it came off in my hand. I am not sure what keeps them attached, but had a little white tab fall out into my hands. I was able to slide the ear piece back on, but I am not sure if it is going to fall off again. So beware...too fragile for even the most careful person!

Bought it as a gift for my wife. She tried to use it, but went back to corded headphones because the bluetooth connection to the Win 7 laptop is so unreliable. It was far easier to plug in corded headphones than to get the bluetooth connection working. Every time you restart the PC it can take 10 min of fiddling to get the headphones connected again. Once the connection is working properly it stays working, until you power down the laptop. Then the connection problems start again. Sound quality is not quite hi-fi, but certainly good enough listen to if you are not an audiophile.Used the headphones with a smartphone - bluetooth reliability a lot better, but still leaves something to be desired. To sum up, not bad enough to send back, but I certainly would not recommend it. I expected better quality from Jabra.

(-)Audio EQ is disturbingly bass-heavy. I can appreciate that the target market for this device may prefer a bass boost, but there should be a way to turn it off. (This is the primary reason I'm returning the device.)(-)Persistent low-level hiss... especially noticeable during the silent parts of an audio track.(-)Proprietary (almost micro-usb) charger port... which means I need to carry around a separate ac adapter just for this little guy.(-)Don't bother unwrapping the included headphones.(-)Tactile response (click feel) of buttons is poor... consequently, I'm often unsure whether my clicks have registered (audio feedback does help).(-)Buttons feel very similar, which means you have to count down to the third row (or up a row) to find the next/previous buttons in a dark environment.(-)Clip feels flimsy.(+)Nice aesthetic design, size, construction, and materials.(+)Excellent battery life.(+)Easy pairing and solid connection with my android phone.(+)Clear incoming and outgoing audio during phone calls (just make sure you're mouth is near the mic on top).(-) = con; (+) = pro

Nice bass and highs. I have them paired with my IPOD Touch because I don't have a cell phone. (yet) The range is very good and it transmits through walls perfectly. Loud and clear. Was very excited to get a new set of bluetooth stereo headphones. I've pushed an old pair of Sony bluetooth phones 8-10 hours a day for about 4 years and I finally blew the drivers. When these arrived, I couldn't get them to pair with my Android HTC Evo. Not even the wired connection worked; it crackled and hissed at me. My friend's phone didn't work either. So, thinking I had a lemon, I returned them and got a replacement. Same thing. Snap, crackle, pop. No pair. Wrong passkey. Bluetooth light wouldn't come one. Frustrated, I almost returned them again, but how could two sets have the exact same problem? The constant was me.I went to Jabra's website and clicked through the tutorial only to find that you don't just unfold these to turn them on (as the instructions say), you have to unfold them and then "click" the joints together so that they are flush. Bam. Lights come on and phone picks them up. They sound great, or as great as bluetooth headphones can sound. Don't expect studio sound. Bass leaves much to be desired and bluetooth is always a bit "muddy", but I knew that going in. It's a technology problem that all bluetooth stereo phones suffer. Also, I'm comparing them to audiophile grade phones that I use at home. For bluetooth, you can't beat these. They certainly put my old Sony set to shame, even before I thoroughly wore them out.

The only thing is that I have tried multiple sets of ear-buds, on it (which is nice to be able to do this), however the sound has TOO much bass on many songs. It comes across muffled..to the point I pull the ear-buds out half way on quite a few songs. Other than that, and maybe spending quite a fortune on excellent ear-buds I cannot complain.

I'm not a Bluetooth expert, but from the reviews, such headphones and transmitters seem to be quite variable in operation (probably based on a person's location, stuff around them, etc.). I am sad to say that, for me, these headphones were a complete waste of money. While they are extremely comfortable and sound good when they work, they are useless because about 90% of the time they now will not pair with any of the three different Bluetooth transmitters I have. I ordered the GO-Groove headphones and, besides being half of the price, they sound even better, they pair with absolutely no difficulty, and their range is far better than the Jabra headphones.

If you use the headset often the dogchain hanging around your neck will rub as the necklace swings, causing the person on the other end of the line to go crazy. The ability to hear stereo sound wirelessly is amazing. Helped with my macbook's horrible low volume - could do dishes and housework with wet hands and not have to touch anything. But the headphone included are so cheap that they broke within the first 3 days. And the performance was spotty. When it was good, it was really good, when it was bad, it was very annoying. Proceed at your own risk. Best used simply as bluetooth headphones rather than as a handsfree headset, and best suited for teenagers, most likely.

Sound quality is very good to excellent. Comfort is excellent - I sit for hours at a time playing games and coupled with the fact that I wear glasses this has been a major problem for me - these are comfortable even when I wear my 3-D glasses over my regular glasses! Now the not so good points - the plastic joints are very flimsy and I've had problems with them coming unhinged. While the left ear coming unhingesd is not a problem the right ear joint controls the on/off switch and when it opens the headset shuts off. So far I've only had problem with the left ear. Now the main reason I bought these (other than comfort) was the fact that they will link to two different bluetooth devices at the same time - and that feature works great! BUT if one of your two devices isn't available then the headset keeps looking for it and when it searches it cuts the otbher channel off - this is very annoying when you're playing a game. I discovered this problem when my iphone went dead - VERY ANNOYING!

OK i was looking for a good stereo Bluetooth and really liked that you could use any ear buds or headset you wanted. so i looked at the Sony Ericsson MW600, the jabra clipper, the street and the street2. i actually bought the sony and street2 to test them both out. if you look at the manufactures web sites they both suppose to have some kind of noise suppression for the mic. i do believe they both do but the sonys mic did work better but not by that much. the sony also has a readout and a fm radio which are nice but the point of having the blue tooth to me was to not look at my phone or anything else while driving. overall sony was a ok set but the street2 sound was so superior to the sony it made all the little features mean nothing to me. the bass was really nice and overall good sound and volume, the sony did not even compare.the clipper specs did not meet up with the street2 nor did the orignal street.the had both been replaced by the street 2 which is a newer style then the clipper and original street so make sure you are buying the right onethe other style of headsets have a drawback of if the speakers blows or if they just suck your stuck, cant change them out. i do plan on getting a nice set of ear buds but the jabra one that come with it are a decent middle of the line set and work pretty good. also i live in Michigan and were a winter hat often and ear buds just fit so much nicer under a hat.i drive a work van and haven't had anyone complain that they could not hear me and i dont have to hold the mike up to my mouth like some have said in there reviews, so over all i really do suggest to others the jabra street2

I like the Halo2, which I bought to replace a Rocketfish (Best Buy store brand) bluetooth unit that was coming apart.I use it mainly via Bluetooth to my Droid X, but also wanted to be able to plug in to a PC's USB or any audio source, such as my classic iPod, with a 3.5mm plug. This all works great; I get much better media and phone integration with the Halo2.Oddly, I haven't been able to get a Bluetooth link to my PC (an HP E6510 laptop running Win7). This isn't critical since I can cable to USB, but it will be a pain if I move to a softphone on my PC. My phone breaks in via Bluetooth if I'm cabled for media on the PC. This is what I was going for.I work in a noisy environment and use this headset for long periods to mask the noise with music or pink noise (LightningBug on the Droid). Battery life is pretty good, sound quality is acceptable - not on par with good open-air stereo phones, but fine. Bluetooth range is somewhat less than the old headset; now I have to carry the phone if I leave the room. The headset is comfortable and cool to use for long periods. Construction is reasonable, but it's lightweight and I worry particularly about the snap-to-fold in the headband that turns the unit off. Time will tell. One other reason I bought this was to try to resolve Droid disconnection issues I thought were problems with the Rocketfish. This continued with the Halo2 and I think now that other music apps on the Droid were causing trouble. Each one tries to take control of the Bluetooth -- they don't play well together. I stripped down to just the native Music and Live365 apps and so far it seems much better.

I use the clip to attach the tag to my shirt sleeve (Tee in S. FL.). The controls are easy for my fingers. I use my favorite earphones and the audio is great sounding to me (I am not an audiofile). I never tried the supplied earphones.
