Easy install and received it quickly

Recently decided to build a custom PC. Found all of the parts needed, including this processor. I ordered this processor and was told it would arrive within five days. It came in 3. I get every bit of the advertised processing power and speeds. Satisfied with the performance and speed of delivery. would order again.

solid, but shipping was a nightmare

I think Intel is always pretty good.
Nothing wrong with CPU itself. Pretty good.

I did have shipping troubles though, getting mixed up with a 13th gen i5, leading me to return it and buy the only thing available in real life for something quick, which was a 13th gen i7, but then that not working on my current Motherboard after waiting a bit for a case.
I chalk it up to common holiday mix ups and one of the shipping labels making the wrong label, but just to keep in mind.

I will say when I ordered this exact one again but during Christmas, it came faster and was exactly what I ordered. Not sure how, but good go second round!

Be aware, this variant has no graphics so you will need a graphics card, or the model without an F that costs more

Solid gaming cpu.

I think if you really want the most out of an i7, go with the i7 1300 series, because it has more cores and threads and overall is a faster chip for not a whole lot more. It’s basically like getting an i9 12th but as an i7 13th. Without even spending the money on an i9

Real fast, does the job

Does great while gaming and shreds when it comes to rendering. With my 9400f it would take several minutes to render videos that I have edited whereas this takes no longer than 30 seconds to a minute. Love it.

La capacidad de este chip es enorme, resulta que sin necesidad de una gráfica tan potente puedo renderizar más rápido por CPU que por GPU en mis proyectos 3D, además de otras tareas. Descomprime archivos pesados en unos segundos y se maneja bien usando Win 11.

Awesome CPU

I'm not here to talk benchmark numbers or min/maxing or whatever. I paired this CPU with a Noctua air cooler and an EVGA RTX 3080 FTW, and I cannot be happier with the results. Temps below 65 degrees under load and zero issue while gaming at 1440p.

Get it on sale

I picked this up for $303 on Amazon Prime day. I knew raptor lake was coming out, didn't realize how good Raptor Lake was going to be or I would have waited for that.
Having said that, my 12700KF after some tuning and overclocking turned out to be a superb example. 5.3Ghz up to 3 cores, 5.2Ghz on up to 6, and 5.1Ghz on up to 8. No heat issues with a 240mm AIO. It's easily scoring above the 13600K now, I was able to get a cheaper Z690 motherboard and not have to worry about needing to flash the BIOS without a CPU.
Just make sure you get it on sale, don't pay more than the 13600K.

No problems, but don't expect typical workloads to be significantly faster either.

Processor runs reasonably cool, typically 20c less than my GPU on the same water-cooled loop. I installed Windows 11, and it shows 20 cores. Benchmarking with RDR2 shows a laughable difference from an I7-6700K, which is a 7 year old processor; it was 2-3fps on average. It's all about the GPU folks, the CPU after 7 years makes just about 1% difference.

All these fools overclocking and worrying about memory latency? OK, if you're running a database or video editing; for the other 99%, this is a great processor, but it won't make a dimes worth of difference in FPS. I didn't really believe it would, but was curious how much of a difference a new CPU (that is 7 years newer), a new motherboard, and new memory would make. It makes almost no difference. I only really replaced the hardware all because I was seriously worried it was going to fail and the newer GPU will need the newer PCIE 4.0 bus. If GPUs ever become available at MSRP, I'll be set for awhile, but not holding my breath. It'll probably be 2023 before that is true again..

Holy moly this thing is a cool beast!

Was worried about hearing how got these run, but with a 280mm aio cooler master cooler I'm never cracking 50c after hours of gaming. All the cores are within 3c of each other and have had no issues. Idle is about 6c over ambient room temps. Could not be happier with this upgrade from a 4 core i7 performance wise. Can now run my games on ultra settings at 144hz and it feels like new games!

Arrived with the processor outside of the protective plastic packaging despite still having factory seal. Fortunate that the processor still worked, hopefully no hidden damage that will appear later.

Best value for money in summer 2022

Intel came back strong with the 12th gen and their i7 SKUs are a blessing. It's one of the most recommended CPUs for gaming and productivity alike and despite the minor issues with the new P-E Core structure, the performance has been great and a great value for money too.

Pretty good

I own 5600x, 5800x, and this 12700kf. So far, power handling is superior to AMD, as is performance.
It idles, and games much cooler, but runs much hotter than AMD under benchmark load. I guess wider operating range? Tested with 360mm AIO and Noctua D15. Noctua air wins over liquid yet again.

All worked fine (Its Intel they had to get it right eventually how many years they been doing this?)

Just remember no cooler supplied your gonna need to buy one and check Just coss they say it fits 1700 doesn't mean the part you need in the box.

Simply blazing.

The cpu is mesmerizing. It’s auto clocking easily to 5ghz and staying very cool and performant. If you are gaming consider the 5800x3d as it’s a close battle between these two for good value cpus.

Very Fast & Effective CPU

CPU was relatively easy to install. It performs very well. I used it for games and programming mainly. I also paired it with an rx6600 GPU and it works perfectly. On idle/web browsing CPU usage is around 1%, and with games, usage is typically 30%. The temperatures are usually below 60C with a budget cooler.

Solid for gaming and work loads such as video rendering

It would be nice if they'd kept the same mounts as 1151 or at the very least included a bare minimum push pin cooler while you wait for a bracket adapter for your water cooler but that aside the performance is astounding even with older GPU's like the 1070

If you're upgrading off a 2016~ CPU this will blow it out of the water, my performance gains over a super overclocked 6600K are astounding, for example, render times for 15-20 minute 1440p videos went from an 8+ hour ordeal where I have to just let the PC sit in fear of it crashing while rendering to being able to render the same videos in 15-20 minutes.

Extremely fast and good value for money.

It's the latest gen i7 right now and it does not disappoint. Games at 1440p or 4k pushing 100-200fps depending on the game when paired with a RTX 3070 and 32gb of fast ram, even with no overclocking. With a ceiling to raise and such good specs out of the box, a great & futureproof choice of CPU.

Exactly what I expected

Processor works perfectly. Chose this CPU over 5950X based on price, purpose (gaming), and support for DDR5 and PCIe 5. I am glad I didnt spend more to get the i9 as I haven't really maxed out this i7. First time using an LGA, so I had to read the instructions and watch a video. I did not overclock the CPU yet as I don't need to, but nice to know I can. Runs quite cool at base specs.

Estuve mirando mucha información antes comprarlo y hasta el momento ha funcionado muy bien, lo mejor es que la versión KF prácticamente no tiene diferencia en rendimiento VS la versión K, y es casi 100 dolares más barata

Probably 2nd best bang for buck in 12th gen for gaming

I chose ddr4 3600, 16 Cas because ddr5 doesn't benefit gaming at this point.
OC'd P cores @5.1ghz, E cores @4ghz, cache @4.1.
I get 55c - 70c while gaming
CPU-Z benches: Single thread 830, multicore 9900
Msi z690 Tomahawk ddr4
