I have been using htc one x for two months and I am writing this review with experience of heavy use. I must say that when I first bought it has some little issues of screen flickering and short battery life but htc worked well and distributed updates that made phone very stable.First of all, it has an amazing screen that colors are beautiful and real (if you compare to amoled you can understand what a real color is).it has a classy look compared to galaxy s3 but this is my opinion only, I have read in some reviews that somebody complained about unibody design and no sd card slot. First of all unibody design is a plus for me, remember that Iphone was appreciated when they first introduced unibody design because this kind of phones fell more solid and actually they are. Only problem is to change the battery when it died but htc used a high quality lithium-polymer battery (like iphone and sony)instead of lithium -ion so it won't need a replacement for long years. People complained that they can't replace the battery with the backup battery in daily usage but i must say that there is no difference between carrying a backup battery or external charger. I am ok with the battery life after updates, if you make the correct settings you can reach 18 hours with little heavy usage. Some examples of battery saving setting are; auto brightness, and wifi enabling options (you should choose "wifi enable when screen sleeps" option to "only when charging" so wifi will be of when the screen is off and it will be on when you wake up the screen automatically). people with less experience can download a free application such as Easy Battery and reach a better performance.32 gb storage is enough for me to keep 8000 mp3 song, 190 videos ( most of them 720p hd), big sized games, lots of applications and still have 10.5 gb free space. Also ' have experienced that sd cards are always slow than the internal disk of the phone and if they are full with data you will experience lag problems. so i am more happy with 32 gb internal storage than 16 + some sd.Screen is very durable indeed, you can watch the video of someone used it as a hammer :) link: [...]Camera performance is great in daylight and good compared to most of the phones including gs3 at night time. But you should remember that it is a phone camera only and not expect a real camera performance at 8mp.Sense interface has no problems and they make it very close to stock android ics interface. I saw no problems with the interface it is smooth, usable and fast enough.this phone and gs3 are the kings of all smartphones for now and it will be a great upgrade from any version of iphone or other smart phones in the market.

I have owned multiple iPhones, Android (Samsung Captivate), and Windows Phone (Samsung Focus) in the past. Kept going back to iPhone for stabilty and App support. However, Android really outdid themselves with the Jelly Bean update. Smooth as butter. This phone is great as well in terms of hardware. I liked the look of the international version better (with the black and red) but in terms of specs, this is the best phone out there. The only con for this phone is the lack of removable battery and no SD card slot. The battery life is OK, I would give it a 7/10. When in battery saver mode, the phone will last all day plus more (20+ hours). And when you need the processing power, take it off battery saver and watch the phone speed up. Off battery saver, I get around 10-15 hours with WiFi and 4G on and moderate use. However, heavy use in non-saver mode can quickly drain the battery within 5-6 hours. The switch is pretty easy to do via notification tab.As for the lack of SD slot, this can be easily overcome with the 64gb of internal storage. If you really want more storage, you can connect an OTG MicroUSB cable and download Nexus Media Importer from App Store (doesn't require root/jailbreak) and you can access files off a SD/MicroSD/Flash drive.Overall, its a great phone. Not a single regret switching from iPhone to Android 4.1. Plus, the customization-ability of Android has vastly improved since I last owned Gingerbread, and much better than the same old UI of iPhone's iOS. Google Now is much better than Siri.I was down between Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC One X+. But the "plasticy" feel of Samsung turned me away and I decided to go for HTC. Plus this phone beats hardware specs of S3 in almost every way.Cons:Lack of Removable batteryNo accessable MicroSD slot (Use OTG cable as stated above)Battery life can be bad with heavy useOnly 1GB RAM (only downside I see which is not amendable)Pros:Doesn't feel cheap to hold like S3Great ScreenAndroid Jelly BeanQuad-core64GB internal storageEVERYTHING!

About a full week after replacing a well-used, but oh-so-deficient Samsung Infuse 4G -at a time when the iPhone 5 simply "ain't all that", and when the Galaxy S3 is almost outdated, and S4 still an unannounced mystery... I was wondering what ELSE could possibly be out there- and hold muster. BINGO! This HTC One X+ is simply smokin'... beautiful screen, lightning quick speed, and oh, did I forget 64 GB out of the box (about 57GB was usable after Android/ATT bloatware). Battery life is typical for daily surfing/email/music/apps. About a full day's use per charge, so not great... but no hardworking smartphone will blow you away with 3 days of battery-lifeMy first go-round with an HTC product, but I've always seen them with fairly high marks given, and this latest version is another well-deserved rendition. Has some really great features, including Power Saver mode, Beats Audio amplifier, REALLY nice finish and 4.1 Jelly Bean, I was hooked in a few days, after I easily re-loaded my Google apps and added previous contacts (used the "one-time" ATT app to transfer, pretty smooth!)The black rubbery finish is just classy, and all-but-guaranteed to be less "drop-prone" than my former slick-sided Samsung/iPhone's. Nice to touch, and hold. The Gorilla glass used by HTC is bar-none the best I've ever seen on a smartphone. It is MUCH less prone to fingerprints/smudges, etc. I was constantly cleaning my old Infuse screen, but can hardly find smudges after heavy use on this one. Would HIGHLY recommend a test drive at any ATT store... oh, and don't pay the $199 upgrade, I got it on Amazon for $60 bucks LESS, and 2-day delivery!

As another reviewer stated, make sure you get what you pay for. The international/unlocked version is a quad-core device with 32GB storage (shared between O/S and user). In Canada, Fido/Rogers is the EXACT SAME as AT&T, and I'm getting blazing speeds (HSPDA 21+), so if you're not getting the proper data speeds, check that you have entered the correct APN settings (don't trust your sim card). No, it's not an LTE device (hence the price), but it's still incredibly fast. Also, the S720e international version (with CID HTC__044) DOES NOT support official HTC Sense/Jelly Bean. Yes, HTCDev will help you unlock the boot loader so you can flash custom recovery and custom ROMs; but if you want Stock Sense/Jelly Bean (4.1.x), you'll have to be patient (SlimBean is available, but it's Sense-free) until the dev's over @ XDA get things sorted out.As for comparing this to the Galaxy S3 -- unless you buy the I9300 (which is the QUAD CORE version), you will get an inferior device, and pay as much as $150 more. the i747 is a DUAL-CORE device, folks. No comparison. A great alternative, but no comparison whatsoever. And as for the lack of [micro] SD card support: NO, IT'S NOT an "engineering oversight" as another reviewer stated. It's a result of how the newer version(s) of Android 4.x handle file system sharing. You'll notice that when the device is connected via USB and storage is mounted, that both you and the device can write to storage at the same time. This was not possible prior to Android 4.xUPDATE regarding battery life: I charged my phone fully yesterday around 5pm. it's now 1:50pm (Nov 3) and my phone JUST shut itself off. So, with average use, I got around 20 hrs (ROM=ViperX 2.71). INCREDIBLE!BOTTOM LINE: This isn't my first HTC device (the "Magic" was my first HTC *and* my first Android); and it will certainly not be my last. Do yourself a favour: buy one, and watch others cry (especially eye-phone fan-boys).

This is an awesome phone. I've had it for 3 months now and I have noticed some flaws, all adding up took away one star. Since the perks are all listed and true to the description, I thought I'd just list some issues I've had. Also, I haven't had issue my battery life lasting the whole day with a bunch of apps installed, gps off, bluetooth off, and wifi on 24/7 unlike other reviewers.- Phone Balance: its not evenly balanced in terms of weight, so when it takes a dive, the right corner is always the first point of contact. I have several dents and scratches in just that one corner. That's with the invisibleSHIELD full body installed too.- Receiving calls: the automatic phone setting to receive, reject, and place on speaker for calls by moving the phone to the right, left, and flipped over is a nice concept but annoying! I have my phone in my pocket often laying on its side and often times when a call comes and I try to pick it up, it triggers that auto function and ends up rejecting the call and sending it to voicemail. It can get frustrating when you have to carefully pull it out just to answer the phone. I cannot figure out how to turn that function off. I took off the one star mainly for this reason.- No microSD slot: I knew it when I bought the phone so I didn't take off any points for it- No native voice recognition: Samsung has S voice, Apple has Siri. HTC should have one too! Vlingo and the google one isn't bad but its not incorporated into the phone and not convenient at all. I guess I'll have to settle with those apps for now...All in all, still one of best phones I've had and I've tried several including iPhone, Samsung Galaxy S II & III, Nokia N900 along with many other Nokia phones (used to be a big fan before they switched to Windows OS), and several Windows phone. I'm not an expert but I am an avid user :)

The HTC One X is clearly better than the iPhone 4, but not as good as the 4S. I got it almost free with a new contract. I wish I had paid the extra $100 to get a 4S again.1. In the first week, when I still had both phones, the HTC screen got scratched by my keys, while the 4S remained flawless.2. The phone developed a problem where it would not realize that the SIM card was inside and I would have to restart my phone. If you search on the web, this is a very common problem and people have exchanged their phones just to get a new phone with the same problem. It is easily fixable by attaching a sticker or several layers of tape to the back of the sim card, but it's silly for the phone to have this problem in the first place.3. I miss Siri, although you can install Assistant apps that work similarly, I miss holding down the home button (safer for texting while driving)4. I have noticed, through Task Manager, that a lot of apps will turn on by themselves in the background (especially Facebook and Groupon), though I'm not sure if this is an Android problem or an app problem.5. Bluetooth when on does not automatically connect to my car system - I have to go into the menu and tell it to connect.Besides the above points, the phone works fine. Battery life is great (lasts all day with multiple email and facebook refreshes and a game or two), screen is fine, camera is fine, and the phone has never crashed on me.

I purchased this phone for my husband so we didn't have to extend our AT&T contract. I paid a premium price for this phone, the same as a new one from AT&T and I expected to get a new phone. What we received was a previously sold and returned refurbished phone at a new phone price.I gave the phone to my husband on Christmas morning unknown that it was a refurb. My husband suspected it wasn't new due to cosmetic marks on it and when he went to the AT&T store to activate it they confirmed it had been previously sold and was returned under warranty due to a defect.Fast forward 3 weeks. My husband has had the phone and it has worked for the most part. It did have some glitches with freezing up at times and taking a long time to finally ring when he tried to make a call. Wireless also would lock on to a network and wouldn't let go even after leaving that network area so he would have to manually turn wifi off to get it to connect to the mobile network.... Very aggravating for a $500 phone. My husband put his phone on charge last night and turned it off as he normally does... This morning he takes it off charge and tried to power it up...Nothing! He spent the next hour trying to get it to boot up.....Nothing!He then takes it up to AT&T and they try several different things to get it to boot up....NOTHING! the phone is completely dead after only 3 weeks of ownership. My husband is livid I spent $500+ on this phone and the fact he now has NO PHONE.BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

The phone is exactly what you may expect after reading the reviews available in the net. Nice screen, processing power, camera and very nice design.I was not so happy with the "refurbished" version, though. It had some small scratches by the sides of the case (screen is perfect). I've always bought refurbished items and never received one with scratches, but from what i read, some manufacturers/vendors qualify devices with "low usage" as refurbished as long as everything is checked to work properly. Mine works flawlessly and the scratches don't bug me that much.Another annoyance is the collection of applications bundled with it. I'm not sure if they are user-installed or came from AT&T (it's the unlocked version, if that matters) . It comes with 100+ applications, mostly games. The most annoying part is that lots of them aren't even compatible with the phone, crashing as soon as you open them. The biggest problem is the power/data cable. The micro USB end feels completely loose when connected to the phone. It remains connected only if forced diagonally, and any small movement disconnects it. Feels very very cheap! While charging and specially transferring data, DON'T TOUCH THE PHONE!Other than these, a very nice device, comparable to Samsung's Galaxy S3, but without the card slot and removable battery. But the price tag makes it up for the missing features.

I got this for $100 through an AT&T contract, and was comparing it to the Nokia Lumia and the Galaxy SIII.I am very happy with my decision. It's snappy, never lags, feels great in the hand, nice large screen (which makes a big difference for my over the iPhone, you really feel the substantialy screen-size difference in reading, email, etc.), and its slimness makes it fit amazingly well in the pocket and prevents any bulkiness to it. The matte shell looks and feels quality and durable. It also appears much more resistant to screen cracking than the SIII, even though both ostensibly have a 'gorilla glass' screen. I've dropped it several times from 2-4 ft and it's perfectly fine, whereas I know 3 people that have shattered their Galaxy SIII screen by dropping it only a couple feet - one person did it twice (ouch). I also appreciate how well integrated it is with the Android OS, everything that andriod can do it does, without overlapping functionality between proprietary software and the OS.I don't really have any cons for the phone, it's a great phone, I highly recommend it. I would recommend it over the Galaxy SIII. As for the nokia lumia, that depends on whether you prefer he Windows 8 or the Andriod OS's, that's kind of the key choice there.

UPDATE 11 June 2012:This is actually a great phone, having played with it for about a week. Sense is more lightweight but more targeted, meaning it does not crete any lag (maybe the quad processor helps with that) and at the same time it is there wherever you need it to have a meaningful shortcut in the android, so you don't need to go through 3-4 screen taps more. However, I spent this week with HTC troubleshooting and now they confirmed I need to contact their technicians to fix the problem, which obviously I am not going to do. I will just return the phone and try my luck from another batch, I am sure that not all One X's have this problem. I will leave the 2 stars (although the phone is worth 4-5 stars) so people are aware that they might get a faulty GPS.--I received this phone only today. It is great! My previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S II and I really liked it, but I wanted something newer and better, so I went for the HTC One X.The One X is fast, has a beautiful screen, HTC sense has improved a lot (I used to have HTCs in the past, and Sense was bloating the device - now it gives a much better integration with ICS but is much more lightweight) and it is nice to have 25GB in drop box with it.However, there is a problem that is HUGE for me, and hence the two stars: The GPS is buggy! As long as I keep moving in the car my location seems pretty fixed, when I stop in a red light, it goes mad, I jump all over the place, Google Maps (and HTC Locations) show me one second here, and next second two blocks down the road. The software keep re-calculating and honestly it is really unusable! I used several tools such as "GPS Status" and "GPS Essentials" and all show the same problem. Here are some links about other people reporting the same issue:[...][...][...]Please note that XDA developers suggest a fix, however this did not work for me, and also it did not work for other people in other forums.I really hope this is a software issue and soon there will be an update. I will wait a couple of weeks and if this is not fixed, the phone will be sent back to Amazon (who by the way did a great job delivering it within 24hs as requested).

I never write reviews, but I have to say that I was very happy with the purchase of this product.I have never ordered a smartphone on Amazon and had my hesitations when I see 'unbranded' and 'no warranty' plus some other reviews have stated that they have received other variations of this phone with different branding. This phone was received in new condition, no scratches or marks, and the only branding was the HTC logo at the top of the phone. I checked the specs on the phone and they checked with what was advertised (32GB Memory, Quad Core). There was no 'crap-ware' or useless vendor trial applications on the phone - just the default HTC apps.I have AT&T in North America. I used the micro-SIM card from my old iPhone 4 (the HTC does not come with a SIM) and had no problems placing or receiving calls immediately. I did have problems getting my data plan and voicemail switched over from an iPhone plan to a smartphone plan, mainly because it was not an AT&T phone/IMEI. After some tech support time, AT&T was able to get everything working. If you're buying this phone, be aware that it will NOT work on AT&T's 4G LTE network..but it does work great on 3G! If you use most of your data via WiFi this shouldn't be an issue.Seller was FGS Trading - received phone in quality packaging and also two days ealier than the delivery extimate :)The phone itself...fast! No hesitations or lags. Screen is beautiful, clear, crisp and BRIGHT! Audio doesn't seem very loud like music, notifications, etc. Phone quality is great! Crystal clear both speaking and listening. If you currently have an iPhone and thinking about getting a One X - do it!!! You'll be happy you did

If you're coming from an iPhone, then this is truly an uneven phone.- The battery is terrible. It barely lasts a day. Battery management is inferior to the iPhone, and it uses battery immensely even when the screen is powered off. A few days ago the phone started going off when battery reaches around 10% , and it takes about an hour for phone to power on again.- Capacity is divided between the system and the user. Instead of 16 GB, the system gets 2GB for apps and whatever else and the user gets around 9GB. Definitely not a good option.- Android lags on some instances; there are far too many apps installed from factory that cannot be removed.- SOUND QUALITY is inferior to my old iPhone 4. As a matter of fact I have not used one android phone that offers better sound quality to the iPhone line starting with the second generation 3G iphone.- 4G disappears from time to time even in areas where 4G was previously available and the phone must be restarted to regain signal - and this is a prevalent issue with many users. Research it.I cannot recommend this phone under any circumstances.- Battery life is too short for a full day of use; there seems to be some battery issues which I am now facing, and the sound quality - if you listen to music - is unacceptable. Do not be fooled by the beats logo. Beats don't sound good to begin with.

I bought this phone on another site since Amazon didn't offer the best price (sorry Amazon). I thought not having a micro SD card slot wouldn't be an issue, but it is. I don't even watch videos on my phone, but I was hoping to use it for downloading music to double as an mp3 player. It is useless for this, because it does not have enough memory unless you dump optional apps and also because the sound doesn't go loud enough to hear the songs well (and I don't even like my music loud). The thing I dislike most about this phone is I cannot keep a bluetooth paired to this phone. I have to pair it repeatedly, and sometimes it still doesn't work. It was mentioned as being an issue all over the web (of course I didn't see that until after I bought it).Another problem I have is I can't clear my Swype cache. I took it back to the AT&T store, and no one seems to know how to do it either. So I'm stuck having the Swype spell "picnic" for me when I want to Swype "ladder" unless I format the phone completely. Ugh.Yet another thing I don't like about it (although minor) is using my personal pictures for wallpaper background. The phone forces you to crop the pic so much hardly any picture looks decent. You can't use horizontal pictures at all, and vertical pictures have to be narrow. In long, I'm really disgusted that I paid $400 for a phone with so many technical issues.

I decided to review this phone, as I started to see the phones that are on par are being featured as the best phones : eg. Samsung galaxy S3, iphone 4S and iPhone5, yes you read it correctly iPhone5. After buying this phone, I was really happy with many of its features likea) Screen resolutionb) excellent camerac) ability to take photos while recording videos or take photos will playback.d) Integrated beats audioe) Free 23GB of dropbox storage, andf) Android 4.0.These are some of the things make the phone what it is.Just because HTC is not good in marketing, this phone is pushed to corner and hardly receives any credit for what it is. Comparing the same with iPhone 4s/5, which does a good job of all the above mentioned features a to e, but was released 8 months later than HTC one X, and it is yet, to include features like photo taking during playback, excellent music, large screen size and mainly LTE.Apple has a big hold on market and can bargain with carriers, which is not the same for HTC, so they need to agree for carriers demands, which may tweak few features but still its the best what your money can buy. Also, iPhone is for people who are comfortable doing things as apple thinks like we don't like google maps and youtube and now all macfans go gaga saying "apple doesn't think we don't need google maps, and youtube", so I don't need. In short you actions are controlled by apple commands and you feel great about it. Whereas, in Android you get to choose what you like like skin, ringtone, interface, etc, etc, etc....So, its time for you guys to decide what you feel. So, rather than blaming Android and HTC we should really rethink on our personality and way we like to be controlled :-)

If you are looking for a new Android phone this one has the best feature and performance. HTC Skins gives you plenty of option to customize the panels, colors, and background image. The phone is light weight with a large enough screen to browse internet, view emails, and watch videos. The phone is responsive without any time lag. The audio is loud and better than other phones in the similar category. The bluetooth once paired with your car works really well. I have this phone for more than a month and no dropped calls till now. 4G LTE from AT&T enables fast browsing. Having the Jelly Bean with google Now makes your everyday task even simpler. I chose this phone after comparing iPhone 5 and Samsung S3 for the value this offers. This has better storage and screen size with nimilar performance characteristics of iPhone 5 and it has the next version of Android and better storage than Samsung S3. This also has decent battery life. I am able to get thorugh a typical day (around 20 hours) with once charged. I low the car app as a easy access to navigation, music, and call list. Haven't tried face recognition for phone unlock. Overall I love this product from HTC.

After waiting to get what I thought was a good Android Ice Cream Sandwich phone, thinking it would be a Samsung, I found the HTC One X. It's the total package of quality, WOW factor, and fun. I moved from my iPhone 3G with iOS 5 to this, and I think I've got the better product, and that includes my wife's iPhone 4S.PROS:Very high quality build/feel/look.Big, beautiful screen.Interface, once learned, is very useable and configurable.Easily transferred all old contacts/calendars from iPhone/Google.Great camera with many features.Decent battery life (lasts all day with heavy use).Very fast. (forget the quad core hangup, the Snapdragon processor, well... snaps)LTE capable. (soon in Seattle)All the apps I used for iPhone I have been able to get for my One X, except for a bridge scorepad app.Love the Dropbox feature for cloud storage. The laments about the memory aren't a factor for me at all. There's plenty for me, and the cloud storage is a plus.If you want an unlocked bootloader, then buy another phone, dummy. Who cares?Fun to use, and makes you smile when you do use it. It impresses your friends too.Lightweight, easy to hold and use.I like AT&T. They've been great at support, courtesy, and service.Love the wi-fi hot spot capability.Speech recognition: after using the almost ubiquitous speech recognition for my HTC One X, I can report that it works exceedingly well. Instead of trying to type notes, I dictate them. It's incredibly fast and accurate. My iPhone friends are amazed.Face recognition to unlock the phone is very slick. I use it all the time.CONS:Learning curve. Have to get used to this device after iPhone, but once the different interface is learned, it's great. All it takes is trying out the settings and features and reading the supplied literature. It takes a day or two.Ear buds not provided for audio jack. I also understand that the premier audio phones that can be bought for a lot of money don't use the provided switch on the phones for on/off/increase/decease volume; only pause works. Not confirmed by me however.Dropbox makes you jump through a few hoops to get the extra 23GB of space, but once done, it's great, and easy to add more for free.

[Edit to review: I originally gave the phone 4 stars, subtracting 1 star for the battery issue. After using the phone for a while more, I am so impressed as to up the rating to five stars despite that.]Original review follows :HTC should be praised for creating such a magnificent phone, and PUBLICALLY FLOGGED for giving it a scandalously inadequate battery---presumably just to make it sexily thin. There are two problems with the battery: not only is it inadequate to get through even a day of normal use, but worse yet it is a permanent (hard-wired) battery, iPhone style, so you can not replace it with a higher capacity battery. On my previous phone (original HTC Desire), I used an inexpensive, after-market high capacity battery, which was great. But now, by ignorantly copying the iPhone, HTC has made that impossible. My only remedy for the One's stupid battery was to get an external battery recharger (I opted for the Anker ?SlimTalk 3200mAh Backup External Battery Pack from Amazon). HTC should have made the phone a tad thicker, so the camera lens is flush with the back (it sticks out), and use the extra interior space for a bigger, and removable, battery. One further comment --- if you are on T-Mobile, be aware that you'll need to get an older micro sim to use this phone. The new T-Mobile sims are marked "50.05", but you'll need to find one marked "50.01", else your internet will not work. Currently these can still be found on, e.g., eBay.Others have elaborated on the phone's virtues, to which I would say "ditto" to them all. I am particularly struck by the awesome speech recognition, accurate keyboard, responsiveness, and of course the fabulous display. Camera is awesome though this was not an issue for me personally. In chosing this phone, I'd deliberated at length between this phone and the Samsung Galaxy s3.

I have had numerous basic phones, flip phones all on AT&T. I switched to Sprint and got a Samsung Galaxy II but could only get one bar in NE Florida and all the way to NE Alabama. The WiFi on that phone, along with its UI, was good. Due to the poor signals, I went back to AT&T and got the HTC One X due to many positive reviews on various review sites. So far, I am very pleased with the phone. It's signal strength is 2-3 bars at the house, its Data Connection (whether on WiFi or using the data plan) is great. The UI is very polished and intuitive to use. My Contacts for email and phone numbers were synced perfectly (except for two contacts), whereas the Samsung didn't do nearly as well. All my bookmarks were synced perfectly on the HTC. The display with Gorilla Glass is remarkable with about a 178 degree viewing angle. I don't buy a cell phone for the camera, but this camera is extremely fast, the flash has a good range, and there are a lot of image enhancement features which are very similar and extensive as a dedicated camera. The phone is solid with a polycarbonate enclosure making it very light, but does not allow for a removable battery and no mirco-SD card -- it is a sealed system. Since I have never needed to replace a cell phone battery before, I don't know if this will be an issue with a smartphone during the length of my two-year contract. I don't think it will since the most talk time per month I use is only about 20 minutes tops. Comparing features with the HTC and the Samsung are very similar; however since I have a stronger signal with the HTC on AT&T over the Samsung on Sprint, I judge the HTC One X a better performance smartphone.

Not going to try to do a comprehensive review, just want to point out some things I found disappointing coming from someone who owned an older Android-based Samsung.Ergonomically:- I hate the power button being on the top instead of on the side where it's more easily (and naturally) accessible based on the way I hold the phone. For someone who is constantly waking up the phone to check the time, messages and e-mail, this is probably my biggest disappointment.- Don't like the lack of a menu button. I know apps now have them built in (or tacked on if they don't), but they're often in different places and they're rarely as easily accessible (there goes that word again). There's plenty of room at the bottom for one.Technical:I can't compare it to other modern Android phones and it's a bit pointless to say it's faster than my old phone because that's a given. However:- The screen is noticeably less vibrant / more washed out than my old Samsung Infuse. Reds are less red, blues less blue, etc. Turning the brightness down does help some and it's still plenty bright enough. Don't actually know how it compares to most phones, but it's taking some serious getting used to based on previous experience.Other than those things it's a good phone. Much better call quality than I had previously, has much better aesthetics (IMO) and feels great in my hands. No complaints about the battery life yet.

First of all let me say I had lusted for the Samsung'sGalaxy Note for a couple of months. Then the One X arrived and when I saw its Super LCD2 IPS LED backlit screen I knew it was the one for me.I found a AT&T version on craigslist and bought it. Upon handling it alone in my home I began to see how light and thin it is. It doesn't feel cheap like a Samsung phone. The build quality is the best of any Android I've ever seen. Second only to iPhone. It's very sleek and minimalist. It feels good in my hand. It doesn't seem too big at all. It actually seems like the perfect size. Its proportions just look right. It seems balance was factored in when it was designed. The three capacitive buttons seem perfectly placed as well. The camera is very good. I can honestly say I don't need a point and shoot camera any more. It's that good. Lots of cam & vid options. Even slow motion!Sense 4 is okay but it'd be even better if they would allow an option to toggle between the stock ICS OS. Guess I'll have to root it for that. (AT&T I'm looking at you.)And since I brought up dastardly AT&T... I want everyone to know that you will save at least $500 a year by paying full price for a phone and then using Straight Talk dot com. I pay $45 a month unlimited everything. I get anywhere from 5 to 7 Mbts download speed. It's only HSPA+ but thats more than good enough for most any person. With the savings I can upgrade every year instead of waiting 2 years. It doesn't have a microSD slot but I pretty much keep everything in the cloud now so it doesn't matter. It would have been nice if a certain carrier would have allowed 32 gigabytes like the intl. version. The battery lasts a full day and even gets me thru my cardio session at the gym.All in all I think this phone is amazing and I'm extremely satisfied with it.Oh and both colors are awesome. This is the first white phone I actually think looks handsome.

Buy from FGS Trading an "almost new" One X HTC s720e, really came "almost new" in its original packaging, is unnoticed if someone had used. An excellent seller, very fast delivery, sell what it promises.4-core processor is very fast, I preferred it before the local version (U.S.) 2 core with LTE because even in my country (CHILE) do not have 4G in that band and performance looked good, my phone is very fast.1GB memory I think is enough, never feel "lag" or a "freezing" of the phone, to complete the memory (32Gb) is a considerable space and very comfortable.Regarding the operating system, was updated via the 3G network to "Jelly Bean" so that I have the latest version of android and for my taste, HTC has done a very good customization. The size is a bit smaller than Samsung Galaxy S3 and its contours are very perfect. The photographic level is impressive, you can take lots of pictures in burst mode, you can record a video and at the same time to taking pictures, or you can even take pictures after recording the video, I think the quality of the photos as much of the videos is very high.I am very happy with my HTC, undoubtedly, my next purchase will be its big brother, the HTC One X (plus) next year, once the price starts to drop.

Ужасно

I have always been a die hard HTC fan but this model is making me think it is time to change. I was tickled when I fist bought this model, but now 6 months later, I am awaiting warranty replacement #3 as I do this review. Here are the combined issues I have had with this model:1. Lighted buttons on the phone work intermittently.2. Sim card reader burned out on first phone.3. Problems with intermittent sim card errors on second phone.4. Launcher occasionally resets itself when unlocking phone.5. 4g data quit working on 2nd phone.I usually do not carry phone insurance and did not on this one. Although all these problems I have had so far are under the 1 year manufacturer warranty, I am now worried that I have a high likelihood of having to by a new phone at full price after warranty runs out. Not because of my handling of the phone, because I am always extra careful, but because I have a strong chance that replacement #3 will not make it until my 2 year At&t renewal discount. This phone is great in day to day use, but the reliability has been terrible for me. perhaps you will have better luck? or maybe not?? Buyer beware.....

This is only my second review of anything and first of cell phone. I'll start off saying I've had near all major carriers at some point sprint Verizon t mobile and now att again. When time came for new contract I Did my research came down to this the 4s and galaxy s3...iPhone 4s screen just too small and not 4g..so really between this and s3. First off is build quality. This is first phone with sleek proper weight feel close to an iPhone. The design of the phone is great. The hardware is very similar to s3 don't care what anyone says the screen on this phone BLOWS EVERY OTHER SCREENS AWAY. the galaxy s3 does have bigger screen slightly but pick it up feel like cheap plastic and super light for it's size. True u can't remove battery or sd card on this like s3 but battery life is good if u manage ur battery as good as all new smartphones, full day of use. To make up for lack of expandable sd access u get promotional 25gb on dropbox which is where I'd rather keep my downloaded music anyways so I think that cancels No sd access out. Beats audio speaker is Awesome I have pair of beats studios and amazing pairing. The new HTC sense ui is nice like better then Samsung touchwiz personally. This phone is fast,Awesome screen, killer looking and just Awesome like my title says best smartphone I've ever owned and I've owned over 10(including all iPhones, think android much better but that's me) hope this helps $100 less the s3 and I Did a Month of research this is best att phone maybe just phone period right now.

We have a few Apple products in our household - 2 iPads,2 iTouches, but only 1 iPhone now. I just was not excited to upgrade to the iPhone 4s or even the 5. I guess I got bored. I think Apple makes great products and I actually feel a bit guilty, though I am not sure why. I researched phones for several days, it was between this phone and the Galaxy S3. When I went to the store to try the phone out in person, I just liked the look and feel of the HTC one x better ($100 less in price is good also). I have absolutely no regrets. I am even more excited than when I went from the Blackberry to the original iPhone! My favorite upgrade is the big and beautiful screen. I haven't had any trouble transitioning to my first Android phone, the time learning the phone has been fun. I am really impressed with the functionality of this operating system. It is blazing fast, good battery life, great design. I don't have a problem with the amount of storage, I use cloud for my music and streaming pandora is smooth. The only thing I haven't liked so far is the default mail app, I am using the google mail app instead, which is not a problem. I will love it even more when I stop expecting that home key to work like my iPhone's did. Great phone! The BEST smartphone I have owned so far!
