Unsatisfactory Display panel

The only problem with this printer is the display panel. It is very difficult to see what is written as it is not backlight and you literally have to shine a torch to read what it says. This is made even more frustrating because it has settings etc that can be configured on the printer itself. Other than this obvious design flaw, the printer is great!

He -Man among Printer.

Well it's just awesome! .Best part is no need of spider Web like wires. Can be kept anywhere at office or home. Print quality is good. Plus printer is fast. Excellent product and amazon did a great job in delivering in the product in one day .Must buy if you are looking for a printer in this range.

Damaged product

Product came with scratches and a dent. There was no usb connecting cable or toner. Very poor experience. Lesson learnt is to only purchase printer and other hard ware offline from a store
Amazon promptly arranged to take back the product

Toner empty

Printer stopped working after 2 weeks, when called HP support after 1hr of requesting, they agreed to send service guy.

He gave us shock of life when he told Toner is empty, after printing only 200 pages.

He said toner needs to be replaced.

How it is possible?? I can’t return product as return window expired. What options I have??

Never buy on Amazon.

Extremely good!

The printer is absolutely hassle free, it supports apple airprint aswell and one can scan documents directly to his phone as well. WiFi setup is a bit tricky and you need to have a WPS router to connect it. Otherwise the printer is very good, fast printing speeds, good scanner and good features like ID copy. Only bad point is does not have backlit display. So its difficult to use this printers features without bright light.

Defective product. No way found to return.

It is a defective product. Print quality and alignment is defective. Complaint lodge with HP, their engineer declared as DOA(Dead On Arrival), but AMAZON blocked the Returned Window!!!!
Completely helpless.....No clue what to do.....

wonderful product fast dilevery

Product is very good and very fast printing. Only issue faced is dual side printing. One has to manually flip the the pages. But for that also instruction are shown by the printer as popup. Overall wonderful printer.
Also demo cartridge prints around 250-300 pages only which is very low.

This is an outstanding scanner-printer. Only a little flaw I notied that when you do scan with 1200dpi then scan size is too large. If they can reduce the size with a decent quality, then this will be great.

Not too happy

Initial one had to be replaced due to a defective. Amazon readily replaced but the new piece seems to have a toner issue. HP service asks to take toner to their service centre to check if it’s genuine or any defect in the toner. I am not too happy, was hoping for a better quality experience

I am not able to print through my samsung s9 phone. Contacted hp customer care they say problem from Samsung end. already using this phone to print on HP3545 printer successfully without any issues. No further support to rectify the issue

It is faulty piece sent to me..the display light is not working...want to replace it..but no help till now....second piece is also same...plz don't buy it... display light is not there ..very difficult to read the function on display...plz don't go for it...choose another one

This is the worst printer I bought. missing all the required feature like wireless setup without WPA, duplex printing, speed and display. It's listed as Amazon best seller, but don't go for it. This is worst printer from HP.

Functioning printer.

Printer came in well packaged and undamaged. All the necessary cables were in the box. Product is true to the description. However, the laser cartridge that came with the printer did not have too much life in it. Satisfied. I use the printer for personal use which includes printing, copying and scanning.

Good budget printer

Got this printer during amazon sale, have used it less but the printing experience has been good, like the wifi direct printing feature, which if worked flawlessly all the time, then it would have been i icing on the cake. Printing and copying quality is excellent, scan copying is also acceptable for business uses.

Good printer but tricky setting up wireless

Good print quality. Got it for 10.5k during amazon sale. Fast and not so noisy, but wireless setup takes some time and is not very easy. The small display does not have backlit which makes it difficult to read at times.

Overpriced

For a printer priced at 16k this does an awful job. Connecting to wifi in a pain, plus there isn't any duplex printing, something that's present even in sub 10k printers, you have to manually print on both sides.
The only plus point is that print quality is good, but I expected a lot more at this price.

Low price good features

I liked the printer for its low price and excellent features. Control panel display should have been LED backlit but it isn't so. Thats a big minus point as also the 88A toner cartridge has low capacity in terms of pages printed per toner.

Thanks to amajon and hp for providing a such printer for what i was searching. It is very easy to take print from mobile. Just connect it with your mobile once and get print with ease. May it has a option to get print of odd and even pages so that we can get duplex print easily. Compact in size also

This printer does not support automatic duplex printing. In product description it is mentioned that duplex printing it's fake advertising to the product.The printer software and drivers are old and does not installing.

Don't buy bcz there is no Return policy.

Print quality is good. At this price range good printer i must say. All the aspects are good. If that screen is provided with light means would have been even more better. Scan quality felt little low as compared to other HP Scanner.

Screen and Wi-Fi issues

Overall it is the best printer for me and you also but it cannot catch Wi-Fi properly and the the screen on it is very bright less you can't even see it with naked eyes you have torch upon it so the only think I get it from that there is a Wi-Fi and screen problem in this printer and all the print quality is best and fast.

They hide this line in the description section,
Which is not seen easily.
They're fooling people's.

So please beware from them.

Good product, sleek and sturdy. Easy to install (from CD, downloading drivers is time consuming and slow) and gives good prints. Only drawback is lack of backlight on the LED panel. This makes it difficult to read notifications

la numérisation ne permet qu'une qualité maximum de 300 dpi, qualité médiocre !

Acheter cette imprimante pour mon entreprise, Donné pour 1200 dpi, en fait le scanner ne permet qu'une définition qu'à maximum 300 dpi . Don nous sommes obligés de garder notre vieux scanner qui va jusqu'à 1200 dpi ,qualité irréprochable .
Pour plus de 400€ , on attendrait mieux.
Difficulté de configuration , possibilités limitées ,. Paramétrage de scan vers pc , obliger d'appeler HP

Purchased this printer to replace an HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A that had poor print quality due to infrequent use and eventually the printheads becoming blocked despite cleaning. Cost of replacing the printheads and ink meant that it was (sadly) more cost effective to look at a replacement. It was at this point I started to look at laser printer rather than inkjet. There are pros/cons for both, so it depends on the expected usage. For me, the factors were a) I print relatively infrequently, b) I do quite a bit of document scanning, and c) when I do print it is typically documents (mostly b/w) rather than photographs.

The infrequent printing pushed me towards the laser printer as the problems with the 8500A have been due to the ink drying out. From what I have read, this should not be an issue with toner.

Whist the initial purchase price is more than an inkjet (both on initial cost and toner), it appears the overtime the running costs are cheaper (especially if I’m not replacing ink that has evaporated or clogged heads). The unit appears to come with a full black toner (circa 2,400 pages) and introductory colour toners (circa 1,200 pages). Only time will tell. Replacement toner is available in both standard and high capacity. Although the larger capacity is more cost effective, for my requirements the standard toner is going to last me years.

Given I do a lot of scanning the single-pass duplex (2-sided) scanning ADF is a nice feature. I put a test using a 27-page double sided document and it scanned all 54 pages in under 2 minutes from start to finish. The scan quality exceeds that of the 8500A.

Set-up was a doddle. Plugged it into the network and that was it and answered a couple of simple questions on the display (language, country, time). MacOS machines found and added the new printer automatically.

So, to print quality. Very satisfied. Photos are not as good as an inkjet, but you should expect that. Nevertheless, they are reasonable for occasional use. However it is documents and presentations are where it really shines. Text is very sharp and easy to read.

Compared to my old inkjet this thing is fast. About 10 seconds before it starts printing and then it just rattles through page after page, even with duplex printing. Compared to the old inkjet this is relatively quiet. Only downside so far is the slight smell of toner after printing. Not sure if this is because it is new or to be expected.

Have plugged it into a phone line for the fax functionality, but in all honesty I can’t remember the last time I ever received or had the need to send a fax, so I can’t comment on the machines fax abilities.

Final word. Although I purchased this through Amazon/Amazon Marketplace, it is worth a visit to the HP website as they often run offers. I was able to claim back £90 (nearly 30% of the purchase price) from HP just for filling in a form.

This is a printer capable of many functions ideal for small office or home use. When first used it seemed very complicated to operate beyond basic printing as the only information available is on the printer screen itself. Don't be daunted by this as a few minutes spent will reveal a lot of information to access as you require it. Some parts seem a bit flimsy but functional and only time will prove if it will stand up to continuous use

This printer is so good, I had to write a review. The colours reproduce accurately to the untrained eye. However, what I found most impressive was the positional accuracy and repeatability. Pages load squarely every time. When printing labels in the past, other printers had a tendency to misalign and progressively get worse as the print job progressed down the page. Not so with this baby. I printed a sheet of Avery L7160 labels as a test and it printed right to the edge on all four sides of the label for the entire sheet. I printed a letterhead page with fold marks for a DL envelope on both sides. The fold marks aligned perfectly between side one and two. I was impressed and it's fast too at less than 10 seconds to the first page. My only gripe is the cost genuine toner for this model. At about £100 per colour it's a bit steep. If genuine toner was cheaper or the yield/cost ratio was better, I would have given it five stars. That said, when I eventually kill this printer, I would definitely buy another one of this model. Cracking printer!

This colour MFP set up perfectly in Windows, but the HP Linux drivers are questionable (they don't work). I found that Linux CUPS handles the printing without setup (Linux Mint 20.0), and VueScan fettles the scanner. One can also print/scan from/to a USB stick, and the machine works as a standalone photocopier. Contrary to other reports, it both scans and prints in duplex (auto document feeder) and from the flat-bed. Heavy, expensive but worth it.
