Awesome keyboard from HP!
Most importantly, I ordered from Amazon and was pleasantly surprised when I first looked at the character set and layout. The picture posted on the HP Wireless Elite Desktop v2 listing shows what must be an international version of the product. The keyboard I received has a standard US layout and character set.
I've been using the keyboard and mouse for a couple of months now. I've had no problems except on occasion if I'm typing fast and do not press a key directly enough, those keystrokes end up missing. Overall, I love both the keyboard and mouse. The keys have a really nice typing feel; they're laptop style scissor keys, which I prefer. Materials and build quality are excellent. I feel that the design team pretty much achieved perfection on the keyboard. The size is not too big and not too small. The shape and proportion is completely adequate yet also concise, succinct, and beautiful. Perhaps the keyboard is a little heavy, but that makes it feel solid and high quality. The mouse works very well for my purposes (no gaming), and I find it comfortable.
I followed the instructions, and installation was a breeze. HP nailed plug & play with this set on Windows 7. I'm still using the original batteries so battery life is good so far. Using the single receiver is nice (nano size) and has worked without problems for me.
If you're looking for an attractive, modern style keyboard that delivers in terms of performance and function, check this model out. The HP Wireless Elite Desktop v2 is sexy and works great!

This is a replacement keyboard for my HP 27 inch Envy touch desktop. Very well made and easily installed. The only negative is that the cap lock key doesn't light up when locked. It's quiet and the mouse has perfect performance. I like the ease of battery install and replacement. An excellent keyboard for the price. Have used another higher priced brand and this duo is much better. Highly recommend.

Great keyboard and very good mouse
Great keyboard and very good mouse. I've yet to run into the line-of-sight issues others have mentioned but this seems to be a common theme across multiple keyboard brands. Having said that, the build quality of this keyboard is awesome - very substantial and solid feeling for a plastic keyboard. The 'hot' keys are great, but nothing special, and I do wish there was a shortcut key for the calculator function, which many others offer. The only issue that I'm getting used to is the action of the keys, which have a very short throw / travel, similar to that of a laptop. The mouse is good but nothing special. Accuracy / sensitivity of the mouse is very good, but the 'click' you hear when hitting the button is louder than most mice and strangely dissimilar from the quiet keyboard. Overall, the above mentioned issues are mostly small gripes and this keyboard and mouse combo are both sleek and highly functional.

Works.
I'm updating my previous review, which was too harsh. I ordered two of these and one was of a higher quality than the other, but over time, the difference isn't really that noticeable. The keyboard might emit a soft springy sound while typing if placed on a hard surface, but a keyboard pad will solve it. The keyboard is comfortable and durable.

they changed the design and it's bad now
HP changed the design such that the keys are not clicky and sensitive - instead you have to pound your fingers down as if you're on a typewriter. I loved the previous clicky design (which I bought in 2016). Even the MacBook keyboard is better than this.

Keys Have the Perfect Level of Resistance
I tried out a couple keyboards before I found this one, I like the keys to have a little bit of resistance, but not too much to the point my hand hurts after typing for awhile. This keyboard is exactly that! I've only had it 3-4 days, so I can't really comment on the battery life, but I love how it types. I'm not a fan of the mouse though, it feels a little cheap, not my preference.

Keyboard battery life is extremely poor.
The keyboard needs an on/off switch. I work from home a few days a week so the keyboard is often sitting idle for days at a time. It's usually dead when I go to use it. The amount of times I've had to replace batteries is excessive. For the record, I bought two of these (one for my wife's office and one for mine) and they both behave the same way.

The BEST!!!
Just the best says it all. This is the best key board I have ever used and this is my second one because my wife stole the first one. Actually, she stole the second one when it showed up and left me with the old one. It has an amazing placement and size on the DELETE key... which because of my poor typing skills, I use frequently. It has great feel and overall it is the BEST keyboard I have ever used.

Wireless connection needs clear line of sight
If you keep your computer under your desk, like I imagine most people do, you will find this product nearly unusabe. Without clear line of sight from the receiver, the wireless is incredibly spotty, will frequently drop letters when typing and moue performance is fequently laggy an sometimes cuts out comletely. After about 3 days of fixing missed letters an frantic mouse waving to get my cursor to move, I have decided to return this product.
It's a shame, since I very much liked the sleek, low prfile form factor of his keyboard and the mouse has a comfortable fit, but wh thefrequency of errors I'm encountering, this product is unusable.

Love it! Heavy, sturdy, low profile!
I would buy again! Excellent quality wireless keyboard. Heavy, sturdy, low profile. Great for home or office.
This is like comparing those staplers that you may have used in the office - one is made of sturdy metal that will last 100 years and just feels good in your hands using it and one of those light flimsy desk staplers that many times don't even work.
Buy this keyboard. It's low profile just looks and feels cool!

Good solid combo - it's nice when things work as expected!
This is a good solution for a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard using the same USB plug. The batteries last a long time and both keyboard and mouse work great. The keyboard has the chicklet keys that I used to hate but now prefer - I can fly here vs. the clunky and slow mechanical keys. There are no unneeded bells or whistles - they just work as expected!

PROBLEMS!
THE FIRST MONTH....I WAS QUITE PLEASED WITH THE HP KEYBOARD. AFTER 35 DAYS, SLOWLY SOME KEYS STARTED NOT RESPONDING TO TOUCH. EVEN THE BACKSPACE KEY IS SLUGGISH. I TRIED CHANGING BATTERIES IN MOUSE, CALLING AMAZON. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. GO WITH ANOTHER VENDOR.

Nice, comfortable keyboard.
Keys are smooth and easy to use.....miss having a light to show me if caps lock was on. Tried to find a clear plastic keyboard cover to use with it, but none seemed to match the keyboard configuration.

Great keyboard, terrible, laggy mouse.
The keyboard is outstanding. The mouse is laggy A.F. I just ordered a new logitech mouse and it's zippy. Zip, zip, zip. So, yeah. The mouse is terrible. I love the action on this keyboard, though. Seriously great.

Very good keyboard
My problem is I keep spilling liquid on the mouse & keyboard, dry them out, and then they fail. I keep a spare as my computer is in a place with little or no access!
