Keyboard is 5 stars, mouse is 2
This is very easy to install, though I had to reconfigure everything a bit to install the sensor in the front USB port - the mouse would not work at all with it installed in a rear USB port. Essentially, it seems like the mouse must have a direct line of sight with the sensor in order to work. I had a box of tissue in front of the computer - the mouse wouldn't work; I had the mouse on the other side of my body - again, it wouldn't work. Despite the range this is supposed to have, the mouse is very touchy. So don't expect to have too much freedom with it.

DO NOT BUY - Keyboard Has Issues
I've worked in IT for 20+ years, have always used HP keyboards, and never had issues. I purchased a couple of these newer low profile wireless keyboard/mouse duos thinking that at this price point they would have flawless performance. However, both keyboards exhibited severe "laggy" behavior and many times missing keystrokes altogether. I had so many problems with missing/laggy keystrokes I found the keyboard essentially useless, and returned (mouse was fine). I've gone back to using a couple of older HP wireless keyboards that work flawlessly (and have all the labels worn off of them).

Pretty solid Keyboard, nice low profile, easy finger movement.
Good keyboard and mouse, I'm actually still using the keyboard, even right now and its been 2 years. It has a lower profile, so it feels different than normal keyboards, It's kinda a nice feel, because it feels like you don't have to move your fingers nearly as far when you type. It's comfortable for me at the least, and it has a nice battery life. One downside is whenever I first received this keyboard, I swear I bent the keyboard into a arch. Imagine something along the lines of " ) ". Whenever i seen this i was shocked as how easily it shaped, but then it was easily able to be reshaped back into what it needed to be. Don't get me wrong, It wasn't super easy to arch it, but it was inconvenient at the least. But don't let my recklessness effect your judgement. If you're wanting a lower profile keyboard for your PC, this isn't a bad choice.

DO NOT BUY. CHEAP MATERIAL, SHORT-LIVED AND HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, "WARRANTY IS NO LONGER VALID" DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY. CHEAP, CHEAP, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, "WARRANTY IS NO LONGER VALID" Is the message I get when trying to simply contact HP and get them to fix this EXTREMELY LOUD mouse made out of cheap plastic. After seeing the message that my warranty had already expired (Which means either this guy buys these and then re-sells them without telling the seller they are USED products, or, HP has the worst customer service, false advertising and are extremely annoying with "TAKE A SURVEY". I tried to dispute that my warranty was not over (there is a link for it on the site) But then after you spend time filing our your name and serial and statement and picture of purchase and itinerary, they say "The dispute section is temporarily closed, we will let you know when it is back in order". Funny because I have tried to contact them for over a week now and its the same thing, same loop holes and the same annoying pop ups. ALL I WANT IS A MOUSE THAT WORKS WHEN I PAY ALMOST 80$. Let's get real. I could have used my 7 year old one or bought a gaming mouse for this price. I have all my receipts and even the original packaging I got this in. I actually think i still have the box it was shipped in. It clearly states that this product comes with a year warranty. GUESS WHAT?? I should still have a number of MONTHS to fix an error they made. The wheel is horrible, The clicker only works sometimes and the keyboard likes to take breaks while you are working, or doing schoolwork, too. My left-click button doesn't click anything and I have to click the same place over 5 times just to get it to finally select that area. This is a complete joke. At first, I gave this product 5 stars. HOW EMBARRASSING. This is worse than the dell keyboard that came stock with my desktop, from over 7 years ago.

PERFECT !
It's totally quiet! I can be on the phone and no one can hear that I'm typing. And there is no delay between typing and PC response time (USB wireless connection works same speed as if it was wired). I have recommended this keyboard to numerous friends & have always purchased this specific one when I need to replace it (over time appx 2 years, I have food and drink spills, which eventually starts messing up the keys. I'm impressed how much abuse it has tolerated from me and keeps on working)

Great Keyboard, mouse isn't
I wanted a full size wireless keyboard. I have become accustomed to using laptop keyboards lately so decided to take a chance on this one. The keyboard is great and works as well as you would expect. Keys are easy to press and feels just like any good laptop keyboard I've ever used.
The mouse was a bonus, but at present I'm not so sure it is a bonus. It only works ok and damages the review of the keyboard. It does not have a good laser response on the surface I am using it on. Which is odd, as this is one of many mice I have used on that surface. I find it very frustrating at times and I will need to use another mouse or give it a different surface... but who uses a mouse pad anymore.

One of the best but...
As the title says, it is one of the best keyboards I ever owned. Its quiet, responsive, batteries last a long time, but one of the downsides that really makes me think is the quality of the keys. I have been using this keyboard for about 2 months now and I have noticed that the keys are already starting to get worn. Taking into account the cost of the keyboard, I was expecting a lot more durability with the keys and plastic parts in general.
As for ascetics, it could do without the glossy side moldings as they just attract fingerprints when moving the keyboard about the desk. Overall the keyboard is nice but would be better if the keys were able to be replaced without buying a whole new keyboard.

Excellent wireless keyboard
This is my secound one. The first one last me around 7 years and the only reason it went bad it was because I did some repairs in my wall and when I sand the wall the dust got in the keyboard some letters where hard to function. Maybe I could open it and blow it. For the price I just bought the new one. Is really convenient not having the wires behind. Battery last long time.

Desktop Keyboard Missing Standard Features
This HP Wireless Elite V2 Desktop Keyboard was disappointing. It did basic typing satisfactorily but did not contain the normally standard features that I have had on my previous computer keyboards. There was no light or other indication that the Caps Lock was on, and it did not have any keyboard lighting for low light conditions. Fortunately I had an older, wireless Logitech Keyboard that I was able to switch to that had these features. Note that the HP Wireless Elite V2 Desktop Link-5 Dongle will not work with a non-HP keyboard because it is proprietary technology.

Not bad but not great
Pros:
Keyboard is sleek and super quiet.
Linking the keyboard and mouse with one USB is nice.
Cons:
No lights on Caps Lock or Num Lock and no software option to have an on-screen notification of capslock on or off. Really really annoying. If anyone has a fix for this please let me know. I tried using the Win7 options but all I can get is a screen flash which doesn't tell me if it's on or off.
Mouse is super loud and the slightest bit of dirt or hair wonks it out.
If I can find an on-screen notification for capslock on/off I will raise this to four stars.

HP has horrible customer service but Amazon did better
I purchased this wireless keyboard and mouse in July of 2020 and the mouse stopped working in October (so beyond Amazon return policy but totally within the manufacturer warranty period). On the phone, HP customer service initially acted as if they would fix the issue within a few days (it's pretty hard to work efficiently as an attorney without a mouse) but after that initial call, I can't get anyone to explain what is happening with the replacement--it is now nearly 2 1/2 weeks later and I can't even look up basic information on the replacement using HP's search tool and no one responds to my emails. Amazon was kind enough to give me a small credit so I could buy a cheap replacement mouse but HP should have stood by its products. Shame on HP.

Very nice wireless keyboard and mouse set
We purchased a new HP desktop (Envy Model TE01-0150xt) but were disappointed that this PC came with a corded mini-keyboard and mouse. The keyboard was very stiff and impossible for me to type on. We purchased this new set on Amazon and are so glad we did. It was 'plug and play', includes the batteries, and has a great feel. Can't go wrong this this set.

NEEDS A CAPS LOCK LIGHT - OTHERWISE REALLY NICE
KEYBOARD: Keyboard has GREAT feel (if you like more of a laptop style feel with what I call a "shallow" click rather than mushy & deep like another one I'd tried. ONE DRAWBACK: there doesn't seem to be a CAPS LOCK indicator (light) ... This is annoying when trying to enter case-sensitive passwords etc. and you do not realize that CAPS LOCK is on. Don't think I've ever had a keyboard without an indicator of some sort ... Too bad or it would be PERFECT in my book.
MOUSE: Fine - nothing special; standard two button mouse with scroll wheel and smooth finish. Seems to me to be a lesser quality mouse than should be included with this nice of a keyboard.
Installation -- No problem. Plug and GO!

Quality HP product
Really nice keyboard and mouse combo. Keyboard has a scissor-type mechanism which I prefer. The keys depress just a short distance (like a keyboard on a Macbook air). Quality feel. Mouse works great. Plug and play (Win 10), no software needed. I have the usb dongle plugged into the tower under an office desk and connectivity is fine.

Totally Satisfied
Needed a replacement keyboard, but wanted one that was thin, light, wireless with large keys and that had all the typical, normal keyboard functions so I ordered this one and after using it for a couple of months noow, I am so glad that I did. It meets all my requirements and more.
- The keys are very large yet fit snugly in the keyboard base, which is a plus for me as I sometimes eat at my desk while working and I've always been plagued with crumbs, etc. dropping on the board and falling between the keys and the keyboard itself. Hasn't happened at all with this HP
- The delete key on the right side is large, taking up the space equivalent to two keyboard rows, which makes it very convenient for someone like me who is constantly making "typos" and then having to delete and go back and retype.
- The dongle that plugs into my PC is tiny, almost miniscule, and inobtrustive which I like as I have it plugged into the USB 3.0 port located on the top of my desktop PC. I can hardly notice that it's even there!
So all in all, especially with it's relatively low price on Amazon, I am totally satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sleek yet totally usefull, utilitarian, no-frills wireless keyboard

Not the keyboard I am used too . . . but nice
I bought the HP Wireless Elite combo to replace a mid-range Logitech wireless combo that died after about one year of use. The thing that drew me to the HP combo (other than not being Logitech) was the fact that the keys were more like laptop keys and the mouse was full sized. So far I am not entirely unhappy with the purchase. The mouse is nice sized and responsive while also not having a bunch of extra buttons or features that only appeal to select groups of people: ie. gamers, graphic artists, and the like. It is a simple plain mouse that works well.
The keyboard is, well, kind of small; the entire thing is only about two inches longer than the full keyboard w/ number pad on my 17 inch HP Pavillion dv7 laptop. This means that the keys are just as closely spaced as on the laptop and well, it is taking me some time to get used to. The keys are very responsive and super quiet, with the exception of the space bar which is just slightly louder than the other keys. However, since the rest of the keyboard is are so quiet it is noticeable. My only other minor gripe is no calculator shortcut key, but other than that I really like the keyboard/mouse combo.

Wish I would have bought sooner
This is a great keyboard and mouse, it is full-size but not over-sized. The keyboard is really responsive and the mouse has a great feel to it when navigating around. Setup could not have easier, not much to say there. I could have spent less, but I'm really happy with the quality on this setup, it was well worth it.

Excellent keyboard if you spend lots of time typing
I don't usually get too excited over something as boring as a keyboard and mouse but this set is one of the best I've used. The keyboard is super thin; I'm not sure if that really matters to anyone unless they transport it, but for some reason I like it not being some huge thing sitting on my desk. The keys are really responsive and seem almost effortless to press. The mouse has worked on every surface I've tried it on so far with no problems. Sometimes if you scroll a mouse halfway onto a stack of papers it will move the cursor around to different places, this one does not. It stays nice and smooth no matter what you run over with it. The mouse buttons are stiff enough that I don't accidentally press them and the scroll wheel works good. The tiny receiver works great, I have it plugged into the back of my computer, which is located under my desk and I have not had any issues with it not receiving a signal from the mouse or keyboard. There is no software to load, just plug the receiver into the computer and wait a minute for it to recognize it...that's it, now your new mouse and keyboard should be working great. I do not know how long the battery life is for either item since I have not had to change the included Duracell batteries yet.
I like this keyboard and mouse, and as I need to replace others around the office, this is what I will be getting.

Mouse doesn't work properly.
Mouse will work fine for a few minutes and the get erratic. One second it will move like it's supposed to, and then it will lock up for1 or 2 seconds. Why doesn't the keyboard have a light on cap locks to show when it is on capital letters? Numerous times filling out a pass word that needs both upper and lower case, it's wrong and you can't tell it because your entry (*******) is hidden. It's only 3 months old. I bought a middle priced set so I wouldn't end up with junk. Live and learn...

precise and effortless
I type a lot at work and the keyboard has been perfect (I don't have preferences for mouse, there's nothing to complain about at least). Was looking for one that's similar to thinkpad x1's, and although this keyboard isn't the best fit probably, I find myself enjoy using it. Hope the pair will last a while for me.

Awesome keyboard, mouse sucks!!
I love this keyboard! It is sleek and thin. I hate keyboards that have chunky keys and take up a lot of space on my desk. The only reason I bought the keyboard/mouse combo is that just the keyboard was out of stock. I normally do not like keyboard mouse combos and my reasoning for it was confirmed with this order. During the first couple of days, the mouse seemed fine. Then it started to move slowly. I tried adjusting the settings on my computer and that didn't work. I assume it is the laser because it gets worse when I use a mousepad. So, now i had to get my backup wired mouse and order a new, better wireless mouse.

HP keyboard is up and running again.
My new keyboard and mouse are working just great ! I have to go a week without a keyboard because mine just stopped working. Even changing the batteries and updating drivers didn't help. Sometimes, you just have to get a new one. I purchased the same keyboard that came with my computer.

Not exactly like the original but close enough!
A few years ago I ordered an HP Touchsmart computer. The keyboard that came with it was hands down the best keyboard I ever owned and believe me that's a lot of keyboards. I'm a web designer and extremely picky about my keyboards both for touch factor and durability. I use my computer for many hours on a daily basis and found myself replacing keyboards every year. The letters were wearing/worn off after 10-12 months on each and every Logitech or other brand keyboard I owned. I switched to buying refurbished Logitechs because the cost of new was ridiculous and I saved money by purchasing refurbs. If I had to replace annually anyway, why buy new when a refurb did the trick? I had a stack of about 8 keyboards that all still worked but the letters were worn off and the touch was off. My original HP Elite Desktop's lettering and touch is still like new after 3 years.

The image of the keyboard (when ordering my new Envy) was so small on the HP site that I could not view it so I stupidly assumed I'd get the same keyboard. I was very disappointed in the keyboard that came with the Envy, cheap clickety clackety noisy Walmart quality crap. I couldn't believe HP would pair the keyboard I got with the higher end Envy computer. I was so disappointed I wrote HP and complained. I fully expected they would replace the cheap keyboard or at the very least offer me a decent discount on the keyboard I wanted being that I've ordered HP computers for years and considered myself to be a very loyal customer to them and spent a LOT of money at HP. Not so, they told my my only option was to purchase the keyboard I wanted to the tune of $80. I was not happy at all with their response.
So, I went on a hunt for the same keyboard that came with my Touchsmart and found the HP Wireless Elite Desktop v2. This is not exactly like the original (from 3 years ago) but it's *very* close. I would still prefer the original but this will do very nicely. It's a little plainer looking but the design and functionality is pretty much right on with the original. If you're looking for a keyboard that has all the bells and whistles for one touch music, internet, gaming etc this probably is not the keyboard for you. If you want a workhorse with great speed-typing touch and don't need a lot of fancy frills it most likely will be perfect for you. The price was fantastic at about half the cost of purchasing from the HP site and it's new not a refurb.

One of my favorite boards I have ever used
One of my favorite boards I have ever used. I like to type very quickly and do a lot of it every day. The very low key profile and essentially nil pressure required to execute each stroke is great. Basically no key depress noise (unless you tend to bang on a keyboard like I do in which case, still VERY muffled). Wireless works great, battery life seems very good, compact design fits the desk nicely. The mouse that comes with it is a nice standard mouse with trackwheel. nothing fancy, but works great and is basically a free tack-on with the keyboard so you might as well buy the combo!
