I was in the market for a new LED monitor and I looked at all or many of them before I made my purchase. I definitely wanted one with a shiny screen, most on the market now have what is called non reflective. They are not nearly as clear to my eyeshight as the HP Monitors. The colors are vivid, as my old CRT screen was getting a little dull when it came to color. I am very happy with my purchase and like dealing through Amazon.

After returning the 27" Viewsonic I also reviewed here, I decided to get this HP 2511X25.This is a very nice monitor. But then again, it simply does not seem to have the color depth and richness that past monitors that I have owned did. I had the same issue with the Viewsonic. I currently also own a Gateway HD 24 inch monitor that I just love...nothing so far beats its' picture quality and color depth quality. I did a new build, so I am using the new HP for my rig and the Gateway for my son's rig.But I will not compare them here, as I think it is unfair to compare a two year old HD monitor that was more expensive than this one.Judging just this monitor I will say that I am impressed with it's ease of set up, overall quality and, it is incredibly light weight. The controls are easy to use and give you a good deal of flexibilty to adjust your picture. So far, I have run the internet, gone through several of Windows 7 downloadable desktop pictures and played Crysis. They all look very good.For the money (less than $300.00), this is an excellent buy and I am sure it will serve me well for a long time. Again, I would prefer a monitor that has better color depth and clarity, but I guess that in this day and age they are probably using cheaper, less quality components than they used to. I am also on a limited budget, so, if I wanted to spend an additional $200.00 to 400 +++ I am sure I could get the color richness I am looking for.Never-the-less, this monitor passes my muster for an inexpensive 25 inch monitor that does the job quite well on most applications.I would recommend this monitor to anyone for general use.

Just to say in addition to other 5-star comments, I am astounded at the clarity this monitor produces. It is truly color-faithful, and the detail it displays is a great help in the computer graphical sculpture program I am trying to master. It's hard to imagine I made progress without this outstanding monitor. Highly recommend.

This is my first LCD monitor, came from a 21" SONY Trinitron. Am very happy with the choice. Picture is great. Turned the very warm out-of-the-box colours down a bit (less warm). No dead pixels, no complaints. Nice contrast as well. Was worried about that in comparison to my old Trinitron. The build quality is fine. Since you never touch your screen anyway, it is more than adequate. Buying in the US and bringing to a 220 Volts environment is no problem, it supports both 110 and 220. Viewing angle is not a limiting factor and the glossy screen is only noticeable from time to time when the picture is truly dark - such as at computer start up.Decided to go with the 25" and not the 27" because I was worried the 27" would be too big. In hindsight I am happy I made that choice. Not because the 27" would have been too big on my desk (amazing how much space you get once you get rid of the old boxy monitors), but because 1920x1080 is just about the lowest resolution for a 25" monitor. Have tried to set my neighbour's 27" inch screen (a mac) to 1920x1080 and it is clearly too low. On the 25" the resolution of the icons in windows is less sharp than on my old trinitron monitor, which had no problem going to 1600x1200 or even beyond. So, if you are picky about resolution, don't go beyond a 25" if max resolution is 1920x1080. I would recommend 2560x1440 if you go for 27".

Before I got this one, I had been using an old HP (glossy 19 inch non-LED) for 5 years. I was very satisfied with the old one. Now I got another one from HP. This new one is very thin and light. Thanks to LED backlit, it's very bright and crisp on both VGA and DVI.I had purchased another HP model (very thin, 23inch). It was very beautifully thin and light weight with a stable mount, but the panel was poor (guessing that HP uses different panels for different models from various companies). Finally I returned it and got this one (HP 2511x).I'm very satisfied with this guy as I liked my old one. Personally, I like Dell computers, but I think HP is doing better in monitors.

I just got my new hp pc and new hp LA2205wg monitor.HP removed on the pc box the monitor DVI port and replaced it with a better HP Display port- good.The monitor has the capability of connecting with VGA, DVI, and Display port- good.3 cables provided. VGA, DVI, and USB. Where is the Display Port Cable?- badCable cost ~$25 which more than 25% of the cost of the monitor.- BadThe VGA resolution stinks compared to digital.I can't believe they would include a usb cable which can't be used on this monitor and not include their new display port cable.Bad business practice HP.

I really like this screen, perfect size and great clarity of words and colors. Much better than the Samsung I replaced and I paid $100 less than the cost at Staples. No tax and free shipping, can't go wrong ! Glare may be an issue if you're desk is directly near a window, otherwise I can't see any problems as this monitor is perfect for the price and I've been happy with it since I got it.

The first monitor I received had a blue line running down the screen that stayed even when I removed all the connections besides power. The replacement is exactly what I was looking for in a monitor. Sure there are better and more expensive but as long as you don't mind the glossy screen this is a great bang for your buck. Keep an eye on the price it jumps up and down.(Grabbed mine at 219)

Our company bought tons of these and we are all very happy with our new monitors. I would say for graphics it's not the perfect monitor but for business applications I am very happy. I am buying another one so I can have a second monitor. It does not switch from portrait to landscape which is nice if it's for a second monitor.

At first I was hesitant about buying this monitor because of the other reviews, but I went for it anyway and they performed perfectly. For the price, there is no better. I am 100% satisfied. That said, I am not a gamer, I only use my PC for internet (video streaming), file sharing and photo review and some editing. I bought two and they've performed impeccably well, so much so I am considering two more for a quad config.

In my dual monitor setup, I have an HP 2509M and had an old second monitor that died. I was planning on buying another HP 2509M, but the cheapest one could only be found new for around $300. I saw Amazon had a new HP 2511x for $219 so I got that instead.I am very happy with the colors and the contrast. I did figure since it is the same size as my current monitor and made by the same company that they would be the same height, but the 2511x is about half an inch taller. The only real problem I have found is that it makes my current HP 2509M look old and dim.If my other monitor died I would happily replace it with another one of these.

This is a nice upgrade for those wanting a bigger monitor but not the 27" version. There's two reasons I chose this size: Resolution is the same as 27", and I felt a 27" would be too big to sit close to as I do with my computer. The performance of the monitor is great. I won't go into a long discussion on it, but suffice to say it is thin, lightweight, easy to assemble, has HDMI/DVI/VGA options, and had sharp text with great clarity. No lag on my computer games at all (even with the 5ms response time - perhaps these response times are overrated). Glad I chose the HP over the Samsung.

After using this computer for 1 week, it can not be charged or started even with a replacement charger. I charger seemed excessivly hot when in use. I bought this for my wife. Now that I have returned to where I live most of the time in Colombia South America, I do not know of any way to get it repaired. If the return it I will pay at least $100 or more for shipping that will take 3 weeks. But there is no easy way to get this fixed or replaced. I am real disappointed with this HP product. I bought a brand name for reliability purposes. It worked good when it worked but is completely useless now. I guess I will have to buy a Toshiba- I never have had problems with their computers. Unfortunately all computer products cost 40% more in Colombia so I must eat the cost of this computer and buy another one in Colombia. ONE UNHAPPY CUSTOMER!

Okay, to start off, I just have to say that this monitor was definitely worth what I paid, which was about $200. I bought this monitor to replace my old 15" CRT monitor that I had for many years. I just decided to upgrade since I had the spare cash and needed some more desktop space. This monitor is very crisp and clear. I am currently using it with the DVI connection with my fairly old Nvidia 8500 graphics card (I need to upgrade, I know). I have yet to view the monitor in HD quality since I don't own a HD enabled graphics card, even though the view in DVI seems to be just as good as HD 1080p, though I know there is likely to be a little bit of difference.The screen brightness on this thing is amazing! I use it at 0% screen brightness because 100% is very, VERY bright. I also love that this monitor is energy star qualified, which means less power consumption when compared to other monitors of similar specs. One thing to note if you are switching from CRT to this monitor is that the colors are extremely vibrant, as I would expect LCD monitors to be. Though, this is not the case for some monitors of lower quality out there. I just recently upgraded my Windows Vista to Windows 7 and this monitor displays the new OS in all its shining glory.When I unpacked this thing after I got it 5 days with the free shipping, I immediately noticed the size. I know there are bigger monitors out there but for me, this thing is huge. You could easily have two internet browsers open side-by-side with plenty of space (if you have the monitor on the highest resolution. Also, it should be noted that the monitor did not have any dead pixels upon arrival, meaning that this thing is well build and was well-packed (thanks Amazon).This monitor also has all the ports that you need to hook your computer up to. The cables come with this monitor for VGA and DVI, but if you want to use the HDMI connection on the monitor, you will have to also purchase a HDMI cable as this doesn't come with one. I'd suggest getting a gold-plated one for the best connection. Also make sure your graphics card actually has an HDMI port on it before-hand.My true only complaint is that I didn't wait until OLED monitors came out. But, that is a whole different category and shouldn't be considered right now...at least until OLED monitors become available for sale.So let me try and sum this up with a Pro's and Con's list:Pros+ Large display at 21.5"+ Very bright screen+ Vibrant colors+ Energy Star Qualified+ More desktop space (if you're coming from a CRT monitor)+ Built good and sturdy+ Awesome for gaming, as well as internet browsing, etc.+ Includes everything you need, minus the HDMI cable. (True plug and play)Cons- Doesn't come with HDMI cable (which is a minor gripe as they can be purchased at around $5-$10 here on Amazon)- Low quality speakers (though everyone should come to expect monitors of this problem. I use external speakers).So overall, I believe that this monitor will last me for quite a long time as Hewlett-Packard makes some pretty amazing and long-lasting products, especially monitors. I've had this monitor for about a month or so now and it still looks awesome. ^_^I shall update this review as my time continues with this monitor.

I was looking for an HP monitor to go with my HP desktop. I bought this mostly because it was really cheap and had the HP logo on it. When I got it I noticed it said Compaq. I guess that's HP but not what I was looking for. Anyway, other than that pet peeve the monitor has been great. Works well enough and even though its not super hdhd like most nowadays it does the job fairly well.EDIT: A year later I find out that I in fact was sent an 18.5 inch monitor instead of the 20 inch I bought. Ah well.

Bronze laptop is beautiful and matte screen is a joy to read during the daytime. This is just what I was looking for, minus a lighted keyboard. If HP incorporates lighted keyboards into this design, I will be in heaven. Price was very good and delivery was flawless. Set-up takes about 15 minutes, not counting all the Windows updates, but still this is much easier & less stress than getting a new computer ten years ago. My old laptop did not make the ratio correct for streaming to TV, but this one does it perfectly, filling the whole screen with the programs. Comes with Windows Starter -- may not need to purchase separate Windows anymore, more money saved. Terrific purchase, so pleased.

I bought this laptop for my wife. After pricing the HP probooks at local stores, I decided Amazon was the way to go. She loved the computer. But within the first month she was experiencing keyboard issues. Certain keys would not work for some reason. She called support and they frustrated her because they were asking her to press the keys that weren't working and then wondering why the computer wasn't doing what it was supposed to. I don't know how many times I heard her say, "Because those keys aren't working!" Then while still on the phone with Support the keys started working again. This has happened a few times since as well. Support called us later and said they would be sending a new keyboard. Why should I have to replace a keyboard on a brand new laptop? In summary, I was not impressed and I wish I would have had the money to by a Mac for her.

We purchased this a little over a year ago. The product gives a clear picture and we always get compliments on how big it is. The speaker quality is ok, but it's not very loud.Now to the cons. Shortly after purchasing it developed a coffee ring like stain in the upper corner. It's not very noticeable, so we learned to deal with it. As others have mentioned, it is a very reflective screen when it's on a dark screen....almost as clear as a mirror. Can be a little distracting when you're not excepting to stare at yourself, or others if someones else is watching the screen too.The biggest flaw has just started occurring a week ago. Multicolored vertical lines are developing (started near the coffee stain....might be related?). Every day there seems to be more and more. They kind of look like guitar strings. Since the product is out of warranty we are out of luck and will need to purchase a replacement.Our advice would be not to purchase this product since multiple people have had the vertical line problem.

Printed ~20 pages, and they have come out looking great from this old printer (HP 1100)! Reports of varying print quality from off-brand cartridges caused me to pay the extra for the HP cartridge. I've never had a problem with HP cartridges.
