It was easy to set-up, it was easy to install, it was visually pleasing and it was at a affordable price. Although, there is one flaw to this monitor and that is the integrated speakers.I would have difficulties hearing sounds from the speakers. I have tried resolving that problem through recommended solutions on the web; however after countless hours, I have given up.In conclusion, I would suggest to those people who are looking for a monitor with decent integrated speakers to skip this product; however if you don't care for integrated speakers, I would recommend this. 3.6/5

I've been using 19 inch samsung (1400x900) for about three years that has horrendous scars all over the screen from the drop that I accidentally caused.I've had enough frustration that I needed a new monitor ASAP.I came across this HP 2009M 20-Inch HD LCD Monitor and decided to buy it after reading couple of reviews.OMFG, what a difference! It's crystal clear with max resolution of 1600x900. It's a work of art! Beauty! Elegance!I have HP desktop that never failed me and im looking forward long years with this monitor!

I am using this HP 2159 M monitor for last 3 months without any problems, colors are fantastic, I use mostly to connect my mac, lenovo, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 to it. Both console run native-ly at 1920*1080 and colors are pretty awesome, I connect laptop using DVI to HDMI and DVI D port, without any problem. Monitor can be adjusted vertically and sideways, it has built in sound which is good enough for me, only complaint being there is no Audio out such as connecting headphones to monitor so have to rely on the inbuilt speakers.

I'm giving this monitor 4 stars ONLY because "I'm" not qualified to give it 5. I'm not very tech savvy, but I purchased this monitor to replace the HP vs17e that came with my desk top. I needed something wider to give me more working room in Adobe Lightroom 2...and boy does it help out! Colors are great, vivid blacks, fine type is clear, and easy to read. I did tweak the standard settings to get the contrast and brightness to please me.I didn't even hook up the audio as I use a Logitech 5 speaker system.I highly recommend it for the money!

Errr, yeaho, I bought this online from another etailer:) In case you're wondering:)I needed a new monitor because my eyesight isn't as good as it once was, and the monitor I got with my computer was too dim and muddy. It was giving me eyestrain and terrible headaches trying to read the screen.Wow, what a difference. I love the multiple ways this monitor can be configured. It's very convenient.The adjustment buttons are easy to reach down in the lower right corner. They're not too small for larger fingers.The joints that move the screen are tight but move smoothly. You don't have to be Superman to adjust this monitor. The vertical adjustment is wonderful if you have long pages of test to read. No more scrolling, or page downing, heh.It's pretty when it's off too with the glossy black frame, and the silver stand.The colors are vivid, pics and text are sharp and clear. I haven't got any dead pixels, and I've had mine ohhh six months or so.The screen IS glossy, but that's not a problem for me. I think it adds to the clarity of the images on the screen. But if you've got a desk or office with a lot of windows, or lights behind you, it might give you some problems with reflections.DVDs are a dream to watch on this monitor, the contrast is just right. You can see the differences in shadows clearly.I picked mine up on the name brand website though, while it was on sale back in earlier this year when other monitors of this size and quality were much, much pricier.All together the features, the adaptability, and the clear crisp display makes this a gorgeous monitor ands hands down the best I have ever owned.I don't regret buying it for a second. I'd buy it again.

I wouldn't call myself very tech savvy, but you don't have to be to know that you purchased a good lcd monitor. I really can't compare it to other hd monitors since this is the only one I own. I previously owned a 17 inch lcd, which I used for typical computer tasks and gaming. I'll give my pros and cons on the HP 2159m:Pros: -Full HD, HDMI and DVI -1920x1080 resolution, very high for a display under $300. -Wide viewing angle is great for movies. -Integrated speakers -Great for gaming, I used my Xbox 360 on it. You get up 1080p. -VGA is actually very good. I tried my PC(1920x1080 60Hz) and it impressed me.Cons: -Speakers don't have such great sound. -The glossy screen is a bit reflective, but not a big problem.Once you own this monitor, you will find many things you like about it and some things you don't. But what can I say? I didn't buy the monitor for the intergrated speakers, I use my own speakers. The glossy screen is a bit reflective in dark backgrounds, I hardly notice it at times. They're just minor things. If your thinking of upgrading, do it. It's worth the $200+ you'll pay.

I bought this wonderful 21.5 inch HDLCD monitor to add a second monitor to my desktop iMac. What a fantastic piece of electronics! First, the design is so beautiful it actually made the 3-year old iMac on my desk look old and dated, even ugly. I never thought that would happen.The screen colors are vivid and sharp. The set-up is completely "plug and play" and the needed cables are in the box, which is great. The price is very reasonable- to get a great quality, beautiful screen like this for around $200 (9/2009) is amazing.Amazon shipped the product lightning fast - I ordered on a Friday afternoon and got it early Monday morning, even without using express shipping.

This is by far the best monitor I've ever had. The picture quality is crisp and sharp. You simply won't find a comparable quality monitor for the price this monitor is available at. Highly recommended.

I absolutely love this monitor, the picture is clear and crisp, there are no dead pixels. The only thing this monitor lacks is good speakers, but then again flat panel monitors with good speakers are few and far between so I cannot fault this monitor. In this price range, you cannot ask for a better display!

I have a PSC 1510xi All-In-One printer and I also have the 6000 series all in one that takes a 56 and 57?(I think) Anyways, the 92 & 93 HP "real" not aftermarket or refurbished ink cartridges produce very High-Quality Photographs and I think are better than my newer, 3 times as expensive HP AL-In-One Printer/Copier/Scanner.This is a great product, for a reasonable price and if you only use the normal or best print setting for pictures and use FastEconomical the rest of the time; all documents turn out looking great and the ink lasts about a year. I love HP Printers!

The monitor is excellent for wide screen movies which my daughter watches on her system. Clear text for her research papers and HP quality and reliabilty. Very happy with the speed of delivery Amazon has become known for.

Have been using the HP92/92 Inject combo pack for many years. Have found that is purchased from Amazon, Office Supply Stores the ink seems to last alot longer. Have purchased from Walmart and a couple other discount stores and ran out of ink in a day. Suppose to make 245 color copies but I was lucky to get 50 out of the color cartridge. Had this happened once before when purchased from discount store and I won't do it again. I think these stores may get the refilled cartridges and they are a waste of money, definitly don't get the number of prints that you will if purchased brand new. Will be purchasing all of mine from Amazon and Office Stores, no more discount stores....

THe HP 2009M 20 inch LCD monitor is an excellent wide screen monitor. i use it as a second monitor. watch videos...the connections are there to watch quality vids...just read the specs.

This was a great deal on genuine HP ink cartridges rather than third party brands which don't always function well. The expiration date on the package is well into the future so that's not a concern. My only complaint was that processing and delivery was slower than my experience with most other Amazon products. Having said that, I would purchase this item again.

When our monitor died and we weren't ready to purchase an entirely new desktop I went looking for an inexpensive monitor to replace the original. I finally chose the Q1859. I have to say that the picture quality is pretty decent for this price point, but the sound quality from the speakers is poor. I was excited about the possibility of not having separate speakers on the desk, but it looks like I'll have to purchase some external speakers if I want to listen to music or movies.

Shipped promptly with no dead pixels or other defects. Can't comment on longevity, but so far the picture is very sharp and vibrant, with a solid resolution for the price. Seems to be of high quality and is very attractive.

Great Monitor! I love the way this HP looks.. everything looks crisp and clear. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is a little flimsy. Wish it was a little more sturdy and that it extended up. Other than that, great price worth the money.

This HP LCD had good reviews and a great price point. It has proved to be a good purchase so far. The styling reminds me of the Apple iMac line and is similarly glossy in finish. You may have to adjust the angle to avoid reflection depending upon your lighting condition. No height adjustment, but doesn't bother much.

I bought this about 3 months ago and I love it. It has great color and High Definition. I cannot say anything about the speakers as I have not hooked them up because I already have a premium speaker system on my computer. A great buy, no problems...
