Nice monitor. Had to adjust the resolution as I was getting some flickering but after I did it looks great. Maybe not as good as my ACER but for the price it's great. Plug it in and go. How easy is that.

I feel that this monitor looks great, but it's too small of a viewing screen so I opted for the HP w2338h 23" monitor. I am so glad I bought this model. Great clarity and the size is perfect

Though it's delivery was really quick (thanks to the seller for that), I am still sufferring from headache because I am still not able to install it's driver.I bought it for my old desktop Dell OptiPlex GX400 with Windows XP.The worst thing is, without its driver, the desktop screen look stretched.so, definitely wouldn't recommend not because of the seller but because of the product itself.help me, if anyone can.. plz.... be grateful. (i didn't get any help going through HP website).

I purchased the 2009M 20 inch HD LCD Monitor about a month ago...I am extremely pleased with it. It was very easy to hook up and the color and clarity are awesome. I would definitley recommend this monitor to any one looking to replace theirs. I had a Gateway Monitor that came with my Gateway PC...however in 3.5 years the monitor quit working...it came on and off..and became very frustrating...So nice to have a brand new one again. Thanks to Hewlett Packard...Barb...Phoenix, AZ

HP 2009M 20-inch HD LCD Monitor is all that the company says it is... easy to set up... tilt adjustment has many levels... nice size... bright & clear viewing... easy to read... many settings can be adjusted for everyones eyes. My only drawback is the on/off button w/a very bright blue light... distracting at first.

We chose this monitor because we didn't want to spend alot of $ and after hooking it up (we just had to plug it in) have found that it's a good bargain. Images aren't as sharp as they would be on a more expensive monitor but at this price (approx $100) we didn't expect them to be. We're very happy with this monitor.

The cartridge worked for a little bit, but before it even got a chance to run out of ink it failed. I would be weary of buying this product again.

Over the last three months I purchased a total of three of these monitors. They have built-in speakers that eliminate the need to have speakers sitting on your desk. Anyone who still is using a CRT monitor will be extremely happy with this replacement.

This HP monitor is high quality, with an amazing picture as well as a sleek look and HDMI as well as DVI inputs.I was looking everywhere for a glossy monitor and was unable to locate one because for some reason, people still mostly prefer a matte display. Glossy is 100 times better. The picture is brighter and sharper and just plain looks better. Think about it. Before LCD's, every single CRT monitor out there was a glossy screen! I don't know what the big deal is. The reflections that I do get are almost unnoticable and unless your monitor is sitting directly in front of a window, it really is a non-issue.The widescreen is awesome for movie watching and game playing and the blacks are nice and black and the colors appear true and sharp. There is not one single negative about this monitor.The only minor gripe I have is that whenever you turn it on, a status box appears on the screen for about 5 seconds. It is a slight annoyance as I have absolutely no use to know my status every time I turn it on. I have, as of yet found no way to remove it. If anyone knows the solution, please let me know.Also, I have not tested the speakers, but I imagine them to be just mediocre, considering that most integrated monitor speakers are very alike.All in all, I'm extrememly pleased with my purchase and with this size and glossiness value, you can't beat the price.

I was in the market for a monitor to replace my 17in LCD that came with my desktop, and although there was nothing wrong with mine, I wanted to have a bigger screen to be able to have two word documents open side by side for school and work purposes. I also wanted something that was reasonably priced, and also have the flexibility of playing games and watching movies from time to time, and this monitor by far meets all my requirements.The wide screen is perfect for viewing documents without having to change the settings on the resolution in which the letters would be so small to read, and for this price I was not able to pass it up.The build in speakers are adequate, however when I am listening to music or doing anything related to media I enjoy the full sound that my logitech speakers provide, needless to say I was not interested on the sound the speakers provided, only on the image the monitor has.The monitor comes with the software and drives on a CD, but I did not even open the package, I just pluged it in and I let Vista find the latest drivers for it and I had no issues updating the latest drivers and installing them (although it was not necessary).Overall I am happy with the purchase and I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking into upgrading without having to spend too much money. The case of the monitor itself is sleek and looks really good, and if it was not because of the HP logo, I would confuse it with the Samsung brands cause it looks like my plasma TV.

I researched this monitor for 3 months and found no common freq problems so made a purchase. EzPeez setup and of course excellent display, fully adjustable, and of course as it was replacing my old HP 17" CRT WOW factor is 10Xs my expectations. Have had it for couple of months now and WOW!!! You can not go wrong with this monitor, not too big for home use. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to replace their old monitor or add it to your next new desktop package. Many people complain about the speakers, but whoa. Just use add on speakers if U want concert hall sound! The speakeers are adequate for most online videos. Dick tracy would have been the most happy guy if he had one of these.

For most of you this short review will mean little, but I'm adding it for the few people like me. I can see a hazy sparkle (screen-door effect) on almost all LCD monitors, and it's so bad I can't use the monitors. My husband, standing right next to me, doesn't see it at all, and neither do most other people. Anyway, I was just at Fry's and looked at every 19-21" monitor in the place. The ONLY two with no sparkle at all were the HP2159m and the HP2009M. Clean, clear and easy to look at. Thank you, HP!

I purchased the HP 2009M 20-Inch HD LlCD Monitor for a Christmas present. It was a big hit and when he installed it, he said it was great and loved it completely! That, to me was a big success and I would purchase it again if it would get a big hurray again!If I needed one, I would get one for me, too.He said it was just perfect in size and was bright and you didn't have to sqint to see the words on the monitor, like he did with his old one. He said he was always trying to adjust the brightness on the old one and this is just perfect. He was able to sit and read like he was reading a book.Thanks for the monitor!

I was torn between these and a much more expensive ($75 more) Samsung. I'm very glad I got two of these. Totally plug and play, though they come with older single-link dvi cables. I replaced the cables with dual-link DVI cables bought here on Amazon. Switched the monitors on and voila. Colors and depth are outstanding. Excellent clarity. My eyes don't tire at all, even after hours in front of them. The build quality is very good. Even the stand doesn't feel flimsy. The HDMI input is very handy. Wish more manufacturers made it standard. The small speakers aren't going to make home audio speaker manufacturers tremble in fear, but they're fine for videoconferencing and YouTube-grade stuff. Great feature set. Would buy them again.

I've had the monitor for a week now it provides excellent colors. Just got a blu ray DVD player and wow blew me away. The one problem I've noticed with mine is when watching letterbox movies in full screen view (black bars on top and bottom) you can see a small amount of light bleeding through along the top where the top of the screen butts against the black border of the LCD which is a distraction for me and don't know if common with HP or LCD monitors in general. Otherwise the unit seems well built but the stand is very short so I have a phone book under it and the monitor came with the DVI cable which is nice. Customer support is off shore so hopefully HP will consider bringing these jobs home but othewise a very good purchase except for the problem noted above.

My iMac (17") developed some annoying vertical lines, so I needed a new monitor. I had to order an adaptor from Apple, but this monitor was reasonably priced, and I couldn't be happier with the final result. The recommended resolution did not fill the entire screen, so with a little experimenting, I found a resolution that looks great and fills the entire screen. My expectations have been met.

I was disappointed with items when received. Unless I am mistaken, I was lead to believe these ink cartridges were New HP #56 and #57 cartridge combo's by the description and the posted picture. They are "compatible" cartridges by two different companies (not HP), and clearly state "remanufactured". The expiration dates were not visible. They seem to print OK but won't know how long they last till later. I feel the seller is aware it was a deceptive sale, and thus gave seller a two star rating. I'm willing to apologize if wrong.

I purchased this monitor almost a month ago and is working perfectly,it gives bright,crisp images although some glare as well(depending on where you place it)the in-built speakers are nothing to be impressed about but get the job done,for the price I think is more than worth it.

I needed a new monitor for photo-editing (high level hobbyist) and my old Sony Trinitron CRT was finally giving out. So far I am very happy with my first LCD monitor. I chose this one after much research and weighing tradeoffs and prices. It's strength is excellent sharpness. Contrast is good. Like most LCDs, it lacks the ability to distinguish the darkest shades (0/255) to (5/255). Out of the box, whites and grays showed a very slight greenish tint. But that was quickly resolved with the initial setup adjustments. Overall, the image quality is considerably better than what I was getting from the Trinitron CRT. It arrived with far more cables than I will ever need. And no dead pixels!!

The picture quality of this monitor is amazing and for only [...] bucks? Ive done everything from basic computer stuff, to HD tv shows and movies, to editing and doing other things. The monitor is amazing.It comes with a disc to install it, but it installed itself. I got it with my HP tower and didnt have to do a single thing to the monitor at all, just works.Downsides? The built in speakers are somewhat quiet and not really good with detail. Basic 10 dollar Logitech speakers do a better job. Its not terrible sound, if thats all you have its perfectly fine, just dont expect it to sound like a TV. Thats pretty much the only downside i can think of without nitpicking things...

Worked great right out of the box. I am not a techie so that was important. Picture looks great and even. Colors are true. Ordered one in February was so pleased I gave one to my daughter for her birthday in march. Affordable price for a quality product.
