Dark and Light
A quality product that was the best compromise of price and suits my needs because it is variable. Instead of many fixed values this filter rotates to allow the user to pick a suitable exposure adjustment just right for the situation. Comes in a nice plastic case.

I wasn't sure initially about getting a filter for my lens but I'm glad now that I have. I'm new to photography and trying to keep the costs down is difficult, but I figured that looking after my lenses is very important. I'm glad that I did purchase this as being on a beach with the camera means very fine sand seem to get everywhere, even on a day when you think there isn't much of a breeze.

Great Quality
Good quality product. I use it on my 24-70 L lens and it hold up very good. No issues with picture quality other than ugly vignette at wider angles. I’d recommend this product to beginner/pro.

Really nice, but be careful
works nicely, but once I had a problem I got some fog inbetween both glases while shooting near the sea. This got solve by itself, but could keep on shooting with the filter that day.

Hoya Filter and My Heart Felt Compliments
Hoya always makes great filters, and this one is no exception. Quality glass, no flaws and there are no flares or streaks in the filter. 1.5 to nine stops are great. I have used the filter many times now with only quality results. i can't tell you how many times I changed ND filters and lost opportunities. Now with a twist of my wrist: Voila! Great ND stops. Yep. 5 stars. Price more than well worth it.

Have used Hoya filters in the past so for that reason alone I am very happy with it. The product is of top quality and comes packaged in a very rigid plastic holder. Suits my Lumix FZ72 camera and is left permenantly in place ready for use.

One of the best in the market
This is one of the best variable ND filters in the market. I always buy Hoya products and this is no deception. I only gave 4 stars because it doesn't have a cap attachment, this is not a big deal but it forces you to use it and then dettach from the lens. But since it's a variable filter you don't need to buy several ones.
Take care beacuse if you use it in the minimum it will create a cross-like object in the center of the picture, this is by defaut, and Hoya warns you of that.
Higly recommended.

Neat tool replacing multiple ND Filters
These variable Neutral Density Filters take a little bit of getting used to, but they work as advertised. Care must be taken to ensure the bezel is screwed on firmly but not tight. Now I don't need a number of single filters as this covers the many different F stops. Although I think they are too expensive. .

Major x-pattern issues even at half strength
I can't recommend this. I wish I could. I'm sure at longer focal lengths it's fine, but at 35mm on a crop sensor, I still get pronounced dark spots in the corners at anything more than half strength. I didn't get to test it before the return policy is up, and that's on me, but I would return it if I could. It'll stay in my bag on the off chance I need it for a long lens, but I'm definitely buying a set of regular ND filters and this will probably get tossed once that happens.

Recommend for shooting action

What to say? It is a UV filter, good quality, bought it mainly to protect my new lens from dust and scratches, which is does just fine.

Can't use lens cap.
The product description is wrong. This filter does not "accept a clip-cap". You are supposed to remove the filter before putting away your camera.
Otherwise it seems like an ok filter. Would be ok if you don't mind removing the filter all the time or like using wrap around lenses caps.

Never leave home without it!
Fantastic product! I use it on a Fuji xt2 for shooting video. Allows me to shoot with a wide open aperture in broad daylight and adjust exposure on the fly. The indicator marks on the side really set this one apart. Gets some dark spots at the extremes, but that’s to be expected. I can’t imagine shooting without it!

Can work but had a blue tint
I bought it because it was the cheapest ND filter. It had a blue tint that I don’t like but sometimes you don’t get it. You can get it a lot though.
