 I recently replaced our older Grohe faucet with a new Parkfield (30213). After installing, the flow from the faucet was basically unusable. After research, I found this coupling but it was not clear that it was compatible with Parkfield model. Desperate, I ordered it anyway (a somewhat ridiculous $30 on top of a $300+ faucet). The install took only a minute (unscrew old one and screw on the new one). Now the water comes out gloriously fast. The old coupling (gray color) was rated 1.5gpm; while this one is rated 2.2gpm. But its night and day.

The faucet nearly matched the original faucet by about 95%. The fit to the hose was a little larger and leaked when initially installed, so I had to put an o-ring to stop the leaking.

I was doing the dishes the other night using our 8-year-old Ladyluxe faucet when I noticed my foot was wet. I looked down to find a small torrent of water pouring out from under the cabinet door. I thought the drain had come loose or the disposal was leaking. But, it was this plastic part at the base of the faucet. The threaded, black side split and a thin stream of water was shooting all over the cabinet interior. The part was easy to unscrew and identify as Grohe part "46 315" but I found this part, "Grohe 46 138" that looked the same and was eligible for Amazon Prime. I took a chance and ordered the part and installed it without a hitch. It seems that 46 315 and 46 138 are equivalent replacements for each other. I did notice a little difference internally; the shape of the internal screen is a cone shape where the newer 48 138 is flat. This might just be an update to all their parts, though. In the end, the 48 138 fit and works.

On the subject of the actual Grohe part, I seems this part is a common failure point in this design. It didn't take long to find talk on discussion boards about this part failing after 5 years. I'm going to buy a spare and leave it in the cabinet so I don't go through this in another 5-8 years. I doubt I'd buy another Grohe faucet after this experience, though.

Easy to install. Works like when faucet was new. Definitely need to use O-ring. I was glad I read review recommending it. I ordered O-ring when I purchased but tried it without just to see. Leaked. Couldn't use it without o-ring.

OK we have a Grohe faucet and for years my husband has had to take it apart to clean it out (under the sink). Usually every week or two. A real pain. So finally he decided to see if this would help. What a difference. Every once and a while he has to remove the top of the faucet which just screws on and rinse out the accumulation. This takes just a few seconds and done. Mean while I have the best flow of water in over ten years. Must add here that we are on a well so we have tiny bits of stuff that make it through the filter. Will add our water taste the best. No chlorine so we are drinking water that taste like a swimming poo. This arrived fast and was the best price out there.

Great faucet part.

Please take note, a loose fitting on the pull-down sprayer will mimic the symptoms of a bad quick-connect fitting. My experience matched exactly the description of several of the people who replaced the faulty part, but when I installed the new fitting the problem persisted. My wife was turning the water on and off while I was under the sink trying to sort out the un-fixed problem when she mentioned water coming out between the pull-down sprayer and the external faucet tube.

A quick check showed that the sprayer head connection was loose and water was flowing back up and over through the external faucet tube and draining out under the sink. With low water flow, not a problem, but when the water was turned on full, water again drained out under the sink.

This isn't to say that the quick disconnect fittings don't go bad and need replacing, but just a caveat to check the connection on the sprayer head as part of the diagnosis.

An NTSB investigator would say that my mistake was applying seemingly accurate anecdotal evidence. ie my leak story exactly matched everyone else's, to reach an erroneous conclusion without also looking for other factors that could cause the same fault.

Learn from my mistake.

We had to replace a brushed nickel faucet head, but then discovered that they were discontinued. If you didn't know it, you would never see the difference with this new replacement.

Fixed our flow issue with our Grohe faucet. The original flow restricted coupler clogged up in 18 months with our hard water. This one restored the pressure back to better than new. Not happy that I had to swap the part out, but happy with this little connector. Super easy to replace.

Fit my sink perfectly I was afraid it would be a different color it was exactly like my old one.

Local home depot didn't have it in stock. Fortunately Amazon to the rescure. 2 days later it arrives, inscrew the old one, screw in the new one and snap in, done. Good as new. These are color coded bu size so make sure you get one with the same color to replace your old one.

Seems like a lot of money for a aerator/spray replacement

Part is fine and installs easily.

Just wanted to mention that Grohe refused to honor the lifetime warranty they claim for the faucet and parts. They claim normal wear and tear even though the part is stationary and shouldn't have wear and tear. Several reviews and questions indicate that the part seems to have issues with some people wanting a metal part instead of plastic. The new part I received from Amazon is slightly shorter, apparently a redesign by Grohe to reduce part breakage. The redesign has no effect on installation or function and works great.

Can be a little tricky to install

As many have noted, mine failed after about 6 years of use, completely unexpectedly and without a trigger.

While the replacement was simple to install (took about 30 seconds, without tools just using hand-tightening), the fact this part routinely fails after 6ish years is pretty upsetting (especially at the cost).

If nothing else, this part failing finally caused me to buy and install a water-leak detector to help identify the next time this thing fails.

I could not tell if I needed a new hose so I bought one but sent it back.

It is just a replacement part for what is essentially an un-necessary technical addition to a kitchen faucet. What is the need for a quick disconnect on a kitchen faucet supply hose? Yes it can simplify the installation somewhat, but being a plastic fitting that has been reported to break after a few years and can result in the faucet flooding the cabinet under the sink, is it worth the time savings of connecting up the supply hose? One has to connect the hose via a threaded coupling to the quick disconnect device, before connecting the assembly to the water supply pipe from the faucet valve. Why not just be able to connect the hose directly to the supply pipe and eliminate the $50 list, under sink flooding part?

A very good replacement part Better than the Grohe faucet it replaced.

Replaced my RED connector (that wasn't leaking) with this because of low flow that I tried to solve many other ways (new spray head, cleaning the red connector several times, backing out the flow screw in the handle) but this solved it in minutes. You have to screw it onto the hose end and then hold down the yellow snap section and get it ALL the way over the pipe from the faucet under the sink. It must snap back over the pipe securely or it will pop off when you turn the water back on and then try the faucet. If it pops off you did not get it all the way on and snapped tight.

Great replacement part and easy to install.

Easy to replace but did use plumbers tape at the connection as someone had recommended. Works great - no leaking.

It is easy to install. It is a little loose when connecting the pipe to the new spray head but a little plumber’s tape will do the trick. It is a expensive spray head but much cheaper to replace it than to replace the whole faucet.

not like back in the day, easy peazie lemon squeezee. i thought it was going to be a nightmare, i did not know anything about the sink in the new house. when this happened "can of worms " piped into my head. nope , put on the new hose i ordered for the faucet , click done.

Exactly what we needed as a replacement! Purchased a cheaper version that looked extremely cheap and didn’t last for just a couple months. This was the same head as original, and it works great!
