These are great squares for setting up saws and joiners. With the different sizes, you just pick the one that fits best for what you are squaring up. You can also use them for layout squares on small projects. Once you start using them, you will wounder how you managed without them.

Great size and well manufactured machinist's square set, pretty good value for money, however be aware that the set is not made from stainless steel as described they are made from I would think some sort of high grade steel, but you will need to keep them oiled or cleaned etc. so they do not rust, especially if used in a corrosive environment. I would have given them 5 stars if they were made from stainless steel. I would still recommend the set to anyone wanting to buy it.

Very sturdy built, but unfortunately only the smallest one in the set was actually square. They are not off by much. But every little bit counts.

This is a decent product, but description says stainless. They are not stainless. Once I saw a stainless version I ordered it and didn't look for another. I just don't like getting something not as described. Other than that they are decent squares

This square set is great and for the price you can not beat it. I find that the different sizes come in very handy in different situations. i have them all around my shop when i am doing any kind of work.

I decided to have a set of accurate standards for set-up of various tools and accessories in my shop. These units fill the bill and are trustworthy. Be aware, these are not scribed and are not designed for distance measurements. The selection of sizes allows set-up in cramped spaces and of small accessories.

Measured against my carpentry square, these squares are, well, square. They are just the thing for setting up tools, and I couldn't be happier. I have needed the very small ones for some time.

This set of squares came quite quickly. They were well packaged and wrapped. There are no unfinished edges or any other roughness that I can see. I think it was an excellent purchase for the money. Oh yea, I checked them on a surface plate and they seem quite straight and level.

Pretty sure its not stainless, which I am ok with as long as 2 of the lines of your description dont claim that it is stainless. I put them in the sink with some dawn dish soap so i could wash the ultra thick layer of oil on them and they started rusting within 5 minutes.

Tough to get truly square instruments unless you pay a fortune. These should suffice for a beginner. Would highly recommend you check squares before using.

perfect for woodworkers...the wider base makes it very easy and stable for hands free standing, heaver than most gives a very solid feel to them. as far as i can tell they are perfectly square....i've compared them to every other square i have....
