Très bonne pompe qui impressionne par son poids (plus de 9 Kg pour mon modèle 5900) et la qualité des finitions (on est sur du haut de gamme).
Elle dispose d'un filtre intégré, j'ai donc descendu la pompe (attachée avec la corde livrée avec) puis une fois touché le fond, je l'ai relevé d'une trentaines de centimètres comme préconisé dans le mode d'emploi.
J'ai ensuite retiré la pompe du puits pour récupérer le câble d'alimentation qui était tombé... oui je sais j'aurai dû faire attention... Mais installez cette pompe et jugez moi ensuite...
Il y a possibilité de remplacer ce filtre intégré par une crépine reliée à une bouée permettant ainsi de déposer la pompe au fond.
Je vais voir ce que cela donne après une saison d'utilisation avant d'investir dans ce système.
Il faudra en plus de cette pompe un tuyau de diamètre 19 pour la reliée (Prendre de préférence un renforcé résistant au froid et au chaud pour être tranquille).
Cette pompe se coupe toute seule lorsqu'elle n'est plus utilisée.
Mais je préfère malgré tout couper l’électricité. Mes raccords d'eau ne sont plus de première jeunesse, et j'ai peur que sous la pression constante ils explosent... la douche assurée.
Bilan : aussi efficace que mon ancienne pompe de surface mais elle prend moins de place et est beaucoup plus silencieuse. C'est un investissement durable (ce n'est pas le genre d'appareil que l'on aime changer).

Die Pumpe von Gardena macht einen sehr hochwertigen Eindruck. Das merkt man nicht nur am Gewicht von knapp über 9 Kilo, sondern auch an der hochwertigen Verarbeitung. Der Behälter der Pumpe ist aus hochwertigem Edelstahl. Im Lieferumfang findet man neben der Pumpe noch ein 15 Meter langes Anschlusskabel, ein 20 Meter langes Befestigungsseil. Somit ist es kein Problem die Pumpe auch in tieferen Brunnen oder Zisternen zu verwenden.
Während des Betriebs arbeitet die Pumpe fast geräuschlos. Die maximale Beförderungsmenge wird vom Hersteller mit 5900 Litern pro Stunde angegeben. Wir verwenden die Pumpe ausschließlich zur Bewässerung unseres Gartens. Ich kann die Pumpe ohne Einschränkung weiterempfehlen.

Voici une bonne pompe à eau avec une bonne qualité des finitions et assez légère. Un point fort c’est le fait que la pompe a un filtre déjà intégré, qu’on peut nettoyer facilement ou remplacer avec le temps.
On peut l’utiliser sans problème pour arroser le jardin et on ne l’entendra même pas, car elle est très silencieuse. La pompe a une profondeur d’immersion maximale de 12m et une capacité de 900w ce qui est assez petit par rapport aux autres pompes.
L’installation est assez facile, il faut la mettre à approximativement 30 cm du fond du puit pour éviter l’histoire que les impuretés bouchent la pompe. Attention, car la pompe va se couper automatiquement en dessous de 10 cm d’eau.
Le poids de la pompe est près de 10 kg, ayant une hauteur de 50 cm et un diamètre de 15 cm.

J’utilisais une pompe pour vider mon spa de nage de 5000 litres qui faisait péniblement du 2500l/h et bien je suis vraiment très satisfait de ce modèle, le débit est impressionnant et mon spa est vidé en un peu moins d’une heure. Je ne possède pas de forage mais la pompe à un diamètre de 18 cm, c’est vraiment très raisonnable, son poids quand à lui est de 10 kg.

Cette pompe immergée automatique Gardena correspond parfaitement à mes besoins pour l’arrosage du jardin à partir de mes cuves IBC.
Elle démarre et s’arrête automatiquement lorsqu’on utilise un pistolet d’arrosage.
L’autre fonction très intéressante est sa capacité à détecter des besoins en eau très faible, comme lorsqu’elle alimente un système "goutte à goutte", en réduisant automatiquement son débit.
Une sécurité lui garantit de se couper automatiquement lorsqu’elle détecte un manque d’eau.
Son diamètre permet aussi de la faire rentrer dans un forage de diamètre 150mm, et son câble d’alimentation électrique est relativement long (15m).
Le filtre intégré en bas de pompe se démonte et se nettoie très simplement.
Je recommande cette pompe à tous les jardiniers souhaitent se simplifier la vie avec l’arrosage à partir de récupération d’eau.

Bought two of these at the same time May 2018 specifically to water new narrow grass strips along a fence line. One of the sprinklers works beautifully, at least for now. The other one has never, ever really worked right. We've switched them from faucet to faucet hoping for improvement, but still the same outcome. As one reviewer stated, they seem to get stuck & won't move no matter what you do....shut off, turn on, add pressure, adjust spray & basically babysit this piece of plastic. If they both worked like the one unit, I would buy another, but not worth the $65 risk. Since we know that one can work properly & one not work at all, their is an obvious quality control flaw. We regret not returning immediately after we got it, so our bad. We never mind paying a little more for good quality so this really stinks. Do your research as we will & find a better product. 2.5 stars!

Pompe très solide : dès le déballage on voit tout de suite qu'on est sur un produit de grande qualité qui va durer dans le temps ; d'ailleurs Gardena le sait en proposant une garantie prolongée plus de 3 ans.
La pompe est lourde mais la poignée permet de la déplacer facilement malgré tout et de toute façon une fois installée on ne la manipule que peu, à part pour nettoyer le filtre (nettoyage facile d'ailleurs, il suffit de le déclipser).
Installation facile avec notamment le matériel fourni avec la pompe : corde lestée pour mesurer la profondeur du puits pour positionner la pompe à la bonne profondeur
La fonction de mise en arrêt automatique lorsque le niveau d'eau est trop bas est vraiment essentiel pour protéger le matériel.
Une fois installée la pompe est extrêmement silencieuse, on ne sait même pas qu'elle est là.
Le débit produit par la pompe est vraiment très impressionnant, parfait pour arroser un grand jardin.

Don't be fooled by the fake reviews. This is plastic junk. For under $30 you can get solid, metal oscillating sprinklers that not only work, they can be taken apart for cleaning. This was engineered to fail and designed to prevent any repair.
Worse than the failing was the manufacturers response to the fail. I wrote and told them I wanted a refund and they refused. I explained I had new sod and could not wait for a replacement, so I wanted to know if they could do something to let me get a new one faster and they just stopped writing me. I sent 3 emails and they all have stayed unanswered.

This product has all the bells and whistles you could imagine. The price suggests that and you'd expect the quality to be high, too. Well, it's not. The problem is that the oscillating mechanism gets stuck in one position, repeatedly. I've tried turning the water off and then back on to dislodge it and that technique will work for anywhere between zero to several cycles before it gets stuck again. I've tried re-orienting the sprinkler, changing the range adjustment, increasing and decreasing the pressure, all to no avail. After a month and a half of trying to make it work I've decided I no longer have the time to babysit the unit. I hope I can return it otherwise, I'm afraid it's a very expensive piece of recycle plastic.

Fournie avec un câble d’alimentation électrique de 15m et d’une corde de fixation bien solide de 20m qui sert à la positionner à au moins 30cm du fond afin d’éviter d’aspirer différentes impuretés qu’il peut y avoir. Un filtre la protège et il est possible d’acquérir un kit avec flotteur pour que l’eau soit prise en surface et donc plus propre.
Automatique il suffit d’enclencher l’arroseur en sortie et elle va s’allumer automatiquement, il n’y a aucun bouton à actionner. Elle est très silencieuse.
Actuellement utilisée pour mon bac de récupération d’eau de pluie je compte l’utiliser à terme pour mon projet de cuve enterrée. Pour l’instant je la débranche quand je n’en ai pas l’utilité je préfère.
Simple d’installation et d’utilisation elle semble être de très bonne qualité et devrait durer un long moment.

Just purchased a model 1973, the one with both adjustable sweep and width, no pressure regulator. Couldn't tell from the Amazon info if the sprinkler came with a female coupler for the hose or not, so I purchased a Gardena hose outlet end coupler ($5.10 with USPS shipping). Save your money - there was one in the box with the sprinkler. At least there was in mine. Also, the male coupler in the sprinkler unscrews and a standard hose end fits, but the plastic sprinkler might not stand too much attaching and removing. There was no separate instruction sheet or booklet, but the parts diagram printed on the box makes everything quite clear. The sprinkler is actually made in Germany.
Attaching: I put the sprinkler on a home made stand above a bed of shrubs so it has the weight of the hose hanging off the coupler. We'll see how it lasts. Frame and barrel seem quite sturdy, good plastic rather than cheesy. Coupler is a strong and tight fit. Base seems very light but I used plastic cable ties to fasten it down and it feels quite rigid.
Adjusting: Totally simple. The sweep limiters operate independently so each side can be customized for range. The width of the fan adjusts easily with a dial on each end of the nozzle row, so again each side of the fan can be adjusted. Nice.
Operating: Works very well even at low pressures. One nozzle was not working well but cranking the pressure up to full cleared it immediately. Very easy to duck in while it's working and make adjustments.
Maintenance: We'll see how it lasts. Others have complained about the limited life of these sprinklers. One nice touch is that the Gardena sprinklers are made to be dismantled easily by the owner to clean them, not a common feature in our throw-away world. Our municipal water isn't terribly hard here and this sprinkler only runs a few times a week so I expect decent performance.

Elle lui a donné entière satisfaction , sachant que notre puit était une vraie galère 💧
L’installation est facile , mais il faut bien lire les instructions , car certains paramètres sont à respecter ( l’installer à 30cm...)

The back and forth motion is good. It does need a few tries to find the right position for how far you want the water to go. The really poor parts are the two width adjusters. One broke very soon after I purchased the item. After that I was really extra extra careful in moving the other adjuster. But it finally broke too. They do not slide easily and they are way too weak. I wish they had used some kind of metal instead of a flimsy plastic. For $52 one should expect a better item. My recommendation is "Do not buy"

Le fonctionnement est simple. La puissance est impeccable et la pompe en elle même présente bien avec une fabrication sérieuse.
On peut raisonnablement penser qu'elle va durer dans le temps...
A noter qu'elle ne s'entend pas ( elle est immergée forcément mais j'ai déjà eu une pompe assez bruyante ce qui peut être assez désagréable...).
Du bon matériel donc. La marque a semble-t-il travaillé pour proposer une pompe fiable. A vérifier dans quelques temps...
Le fonctionnement est simple. La puissance est impeccable et la pompe en elle même présente bien avec une fabrication sérieuse.

I've had several of this style, including some high-end Melnor models. This one can be customized for separate right and left width, and separately for distance at both ends.
You may need to secure the location with landscaping pins (only buy galvanized 9-gauge pins, even if you have a buy a box of 100). Otherwise it may move a bit during use causing your sidewalk to be watered instead of all your plants.
I strongly recommend figuring out the best location and customization, and leaving it in place. Buy a second one if you have a second location, or you'll be wasting effort re-calibrating it every single time.

I have bought more than a few sprinklers over the years, but the ones that worked the best and lasted the longest were Gardenias. This one is no different. It is easy to set up the spray pattern and it stays set. There are other products out there at a lower price, but they are flimsier and tend to break. True it is twice the cost but I think it is worth it. I only wish the product had more metal parts such as the base.

Lasted 1.5 seasons. I don't typically leave negative feedback, but this deserves it. expensive but i decided to by it based on reviews. I don't get why is getting such good reviews. I was not hard on this at sll and the spray width control broke and well as distance. It can no longer be controlled. For the money I would have expected it to last much longer. Since its cheap plastic i can't do anything about it. No more gardena products for this guy.

I have a top of the line Melnor Sprinkler (translation: a piece of over-priced crap!)prior to this. Had only been using the Melnor for years since that is what the local stores carries.
Debated about splurging on a sprinkler (Hello, home builders, installed a sprinkler!), after much whinning, bickering & possibly b*tching my husband got sick and tired of it and demanded I buy a better sprinkler.
Did a bit of research and decided on 1973 vs 1971 - description on 1971 is wrong, it DOES NOT HAVE ADJUSTABLE WIDTH CONTROL. Spend that extra $15 to buy 1973. It has 4 sets of control, 2 on each side, width and length and for those times that my neighbor pissed me off, I have the absolute choice of not sharing my water with them, my water, my lawn, my choice :).
Watering my lawn, often times sidewalks, sidings depending on where this piece of junk decides to get stuck is now a 2.5 hrs chore. The Melnor are often stuck, it has come to the point that I have to stand and stare at the Melnor to adjust it every 5-10 mins.
You can tell the difference just by the first use of Gardena - it's so smooth and quiet and it allows me to adjust the width and "length" of where I want to water. The watering time is now down to 1 and a quarter hour and I can't begin to appreciate how much water I am not wasting.
Debated on buying the one with built in timer but decided to buy a traditional dial timer(no fancy battery kind)and they work great together!
My only *problem* is that Melnor had me so scar/trained for the last 6-7 years that I find myself checking on the new Gardena every 5 mins to make sure it is still rotating :).
The customer service for Gardena can be challenging, I left a message for the company to call me back 3 days ago and I have yet to hear a beep....

I originally bought this on April 29th 2015. Absolutely Loved it when it first arrived. It had great coverage and individual width control, as well as the standard length control, which made for extremely precise watering. And then it failed. After about 2 months, suddenly it stopped oscillating and just was stuck in one position. I contacted Amazon and they cheerfully send me a replacement. Problem solved? Think again. I had absolutely no problem until August 2nd and then it did the same thing! I had been super careful with it, not allowing anyone other than myself to handle it, when it was necessary to move it so I could mow the lawn, otherwise it stayed in place, We live in Phoenix, AZ and having to water daily you just leave your sprinkler in place. I noticed, when looking at other negative reviews, that even they got substantially more use than I did and I wonder, if my problem is not weather related. We have temperatures of over 100 degrees for 5 months out of the year and usually about a month of that is above 110 degrees. I have had other plastic sprinklers ( cheep ones ) that withstood the heat fine for several years, but this product was designed in Germany and there does not have our extreme and often dry heat. You might want to try this under different weather conditions, because when it works it is amazing. Good luck.

This product no longer functions as it did originally. After two months, the nozzles started leaking and no longer spray the yard.
My product is no longer returnable to Amazon so I contacted Gardena International a week ago and made a warranty claim and haven't received a response yet.
If you read at the "Product Warranty" information in the "Warranty & Support" section of this page, it says "Contact our customer service or return the defective unit together with a short description of the problem directly to one of the GARDENA Service Centres listed on the back of this leaflet."
The Product Warranty is only one page, so there is no "back of this leaflet" with contact information. What a joke! Don't buy it.

Me gusto mucho que el aspersor funcione de manera mecánica y aún con poco flujo de agua para zonas pequeñas, lo usé para distintas áreas y siempre se logro adaptar al tamaño y la zona a regar de forma muy pareja y simple, sin duda hay que tener cuidado del salitre que se le acumula a las salidas de agua ya que de 1 lado la perilla de orientación dejó de funcionar y no veo como repararla. en general muy buen aspersor.

I love the convenience and interchangeability of Gardena products. I have 3 different watering areas so I like switching off the different devices. The engineering is genius. However, the plastic material that is used to produce the sprinklers does not hold up to extended use. For the investment I make in a Gardena device, I expect more than a 3-year life span. The sprinkler heads and connections leaked, the slide controlling flow on a hand-held sprinkler cracked, on another, the oscillating function completely stopped working. I have an old metal sprinkler that I purchased 40 years ago that still works. I guess I'll go back to the old fashioned way.

I bought this sprinkler after buying two cheaper oscillating sprinklers first. I should have known better to waste my money no junk. This Gardena sprinkler is perfect for what I need. It has a lot od adjustment features that lets me regulate the area I want to water--the less expensive ones that I tried first just didn't provide enough flexibility. I have been happy with Gardena products in the past and this sprinkler has not disappointed me. It is made out of a plastic material, like most residential products of this type, so you can't abuse it.
