Absolutely a lower-end gardena
I bought the fully-adjustable model years ago and was hoping this would be almost as good. And I guess it is - certainly a lot less expensive, but it feels much lighter and is absolutely less adjustable. Hard to say if I really like it or not... time will tell!

Easy adjustable, no problems of to get blocked and good quality of connector
This is the best sprinkler I ever have, after three other kind that I used. Realy it is easy adjustable for water distribution, with no problems of geting blocked like others. Also very good quality of connector.

Good sprinkler
This is a good sprinkler. It covers a wide area, adjusts easily, and doesn't get stuck in one spot like others I've had. Although it's plastic, it seems durable, but I will be sure to bring it inside in the winter.

Expensive and eventually leak
I have bought several of these sets and unfortunately they don't last long, they crack easily and I have found two places where they start leaking. I have to say I take good care of my tools. The Gardena connectors are not cheap and considering how often I had to replace them I thought of stop using quick connectors until one day at my local Walmart I saw the Orbit version of this same system. They are compatible and also made out of plastic, they come in black and dark green. It is only a few dollars and so far they last much longer than Gardena. Something else I like better is that the end connector is hexagonal and you can screw or unscrew it without damage using a socket; the one from Gardena is flat -as pictured- and they get damaged easily when you need to remove them from the accessory and they are tight. Just my two cents.

Plastic desintegrated
Quality of Gardena has gone way down. I've used their hose connectors for many years so I know the product very well. There was a time when the plastic was super strong, I could grip it with a wrench and twist and twist without doing damage. I reused Gardena connectors over and over, they were simply the best around, lasting longer than other plastic brands. With this set something had changed. I screwed one on the hose and then decided to move it to another hose. However when I tried to untwist, the plastic disintegrated! This shouldn't happen with a Gardena connector! First use and it turns to mush? I've bought dozens of these, never seen their plastic do that. So I tried the 2nd one (the other light grey connector) and it did the same thing, plastic could not hold up to the robogrip which is the tool I've always used. I'm a older woman, my grip is not that strong. I no longer trust this brand, shame on you Gardena for cheapening the materials.

These are great for the first month, then failure!
Second Update: The second female connector failed due to a crack, and one of the male connectors has failed. These are located in the middle of 300 ft of hose and are not being disconnected and reconnected. The only hold the hose together and allow it to spin a few turns as the hose is moved. They are not in the driveway area and are not being driven over. They are made cheaply and are not designed to last very long. Amazon after I called, made a credit adjustment for good customer relations and I appreciated their effort and have ordered brass fittings this time. I know they will last!
Last, although I wrote the mfg, they never responded, that says it all!
Update: after a short time, the connector that shuts off the water began to be very difficult to insert a male connector. Then, I couldn’t put any connector inside and water began gushing out. After turning off the water, I looked inside and there was an O Ring loose inside. The connector self destructs. Not good for an almost new item. I’ll be reinstalling my brass fittings. Yes, they take more effort to connect, but at least they don’t fall apart!
These work great and are much easier to work with vs the brass ones. No leaks, easy to connect and not having to shut off the water to change out connected devices is awesome.

I have been using this brand for 30 years.
I don't know if a pro might find the metal ends better. For a homeowner I have never had a problem with these. They are completely watertight, they are very easy to install, they are very easy to operate. I first bought them in the UK around 1990 and used them for linking sections of hose at the barn where we kept our horses. Later I used them round the house too. There are others that look the same and are compatible, but I have found these to be the best quality. The big advantage for me, over the metal ones, is that they don't cause or suffer galvanic corrosion. Even between two apparently brass fittings I got fast corrosion. Worse when I used brass on a high quality hose with aluminum ends. As soon as I noticed that I went looking for the connectors I used in the UK and here we are. Highly recommended.

Better then brass
The Gardena Hose Quick Connector work fine but can be difficult to make lock into place, sometimes I must push hard to make the connections. The rubber o-rings can fall off or brake so it's wise to have spares around. Sometimes pliers are needed to fully seat the twist connections or remove them.

Connector broke after a months use.
The male end plastic connector, there are 2 in this clamshell package, broke in half in just a month of use. It may have been a flaw in the manufacturing, I don't know, but it broke while in use. I replaced it with the 2nd connector hopefully I'll get a longer, more useful service.
Update-
It's been 2 months since I installed the new "male end plastic connector" and it has broke in half just like the first one.
I recommend NOT purchasing these "Gardena garden Hose Quick Connectors".

Great garden hose connectors
The parts work as stated. I like them better than.the Melnor version. I use these to replace the cheap metal connectors at the big blue and orange box store. I love the fact that when to disconnect a connector from it water doesn't spray all over the place. They are a bit costly but I have tried many version and these hold up very well. Make sure that during the cold season you remove them to avoid damage to due leftover water that can freeze and crack product over time. They need to lower the price.

Connect and disconnect effortlessly with full pressure in hose
I have looked for years for a good quick connect. Some cheaper plastic had difficulty connecting easily even with no hose pressure. I tried the more expensive all metal brass connectors but the ball bearing used to lock were regular steel and not stainless. They quickly rusted and made connections a nightmare. These are high quality and even with full pressure in the hose, you can just click attachments to the hose and take them off again without getting squirted. I am confident the metal version of Gardena would be even better and based on what these look like I would bet they used stainless steel inside so they don't rust in a few weeks.

Gardena does not honor its warrranty
According to Gardena's website, all Gardena products have a two year warranty. My product broke due to a material defect, so I contacted Gardena in Germany and they directed me to Gardena Canada. After two weeks I still had no reply, so here I am letting you know that if your expensive Gardena products breaks due to a material or manufacturing default, Gardena will NOT honor its warranty and you'll be stuck with an expensive broken Gardena product.

Expensive for a reason
The gardena yard stuff is really expensive. However it's extremely high quality and I have completely adopted this system. Everything from pressure washers to handles to wands and all hoses now have these quick attachments and it makes things so easy. I don't even turn my spigots outside off all summer. They just stay on and they don't leak and I just quick connect accessories as needed. Great quality will buy more in future for sure.
