Make sure you order lots of backup ink, you will need it.Easy to set up, no problems there but I am not using the Wifi yet so not much else to do right.Maybe it is just the ink cartridge they send with it but it is not good for many pages. I ordered the high capacity replacement and will let you know how that works out.Mine jams all the time, will print the first 3 inches and then jams, over and over and over. Every time you have to turn it off, clear the jam, then turn it back on and the time required to reboot is a pain in the kiester. Called Epson and to their credit they just said it needs to be replaced, but still a hassle even if it is covered by warranty.

Easy to set up. Easy to program for wireless operation. Print quality is good, about the same as my old HP. It's really fast and the paper feed system is excellent. Controls are easy to use. The paper feed system is very noisy, but probably no worse than most cheap printers. The big downside is that Epson determines when you are "out of ink." This occurs before it is time to really replace the cartridge. When my old HP said I was out of ink I just kept printing until I could see by the print that it was really empty. Sometimes I could print dozens of pages before it ran out. The Epson will just stop working when it decides that you need new ink. If you remove and reinsert the same cartridge it still will not work. From what I see on the web this system cannot be hacked, or at least not very easily. Therefore, you will be buying ink way too often. I know they practically give the printer away to sell the ink, but this insults my intelligence and my billfold!

I have had this printer a couple of weeks and have only printed about 50 pages. The black ink levels are already at 1/2. The quality is terrible: blurry, faint, lines missing, looks smeared. The unit is really loud! It has the option of printing in quiet mode (I can see why - but I've never even heard of that as an option on a printer before.)The printer has all sorts of features to help fix printing issues (nozzle check, clean heads, print head alignment) none of which resolve the printing issues.I have never bought an Epson before, and after this experience, never will again.

I bought this printer back in September 2009. It worked fine until I had to replace the ink cartridges. After replacing the ink, no black ink would print, even after repeated head cleanings - all other colors worked fine. I called Epson and they sent me a replacement. The replacement worked fine until I ran out of ink, I again replaced the ink and AGAIN no black would print, but other colors printed fine. In both cases, I was using genuine Epson ink cartridges. I called Epson back and they were going to send me another replacement. Well, I unpacked the replacement, installed the ink cartriges and now it gets a "scanner error" - right out of the box! This is my 3rd printer in 2 months!!!!!! Do not buy this printer. In my opinion, this is a piece of junk!

The noise is awful on this printer. It starts to print with an actual bang. The type quality for documents is very nice however, even at lower print quality settings.

I've been using the printer for about a month now and haven't had any problems with it yet. Plugged it in, followed the directions, and it was set up on my wifi network in about 5 minutes. Easy as that, and it didn't make me do anything ridiculous to get it working. I haven't had to replace the ink yet, so I don't know about ink usage. The only con I've encountered so far is the noise, but it's really not very bad. It could definitely be much worse. Given that I usually print in my bedroom while sitting in my living room, I can't even hear the printer and it's not an issue. Scanning has good quality, and copies are crisp and clear. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this printer to anyone in the market for one.

This is a fabulous printer and well worth the wait. It was seriously back ordered although I did not know this until after I ordered and phoned and then all of a sudden it showed up. I did not like waiting so long; nonetheless, it is a terrific printer and I am glad I bought it.

Bought this printer after seeing reviews here and at CNET. I had it running in fewer than ten minutes, and most of that was simply waiting for the drivers to load from the disk.My only real gripe about the printer so far is that it's incredibly noisy. When you push the 'print' button, you have to brace yourself - it's launches into BimBangBOOM action. I'm going to get a longer USB cord so I can get it away from the area where I use the telephone.Right out of the box I printed documents, photos, scanned docs to my computer, and copied. All of it worked without a single head scratching moment. I didn't have to do any fine tuning to make it do what it's supposed to do. (I was ready for a half hour of tweaking and adjusting like one normally must do with so many new peripherals.)Way better than the Kodak machine it's replacing.

It's been a couple of weeks since we received it and started using it, so I can write what I fee so far.There's no major problem so far. The only things I notice were: 1) PC freezes sometimes when I try to print something. If I wait for about 1/2 minite, the freeze is gone and start printing. 2) For only a few times, the printer takes forever to start printing. I don't what caused that, but I think the printer wasn't warmed up enough before printing.I can't say that both incidents were caused by the printer, but those had never happened before installing the printer. (We use a newer HP PC desktop with Windows Vista Home Prem.) Those incidents happened only few times so far, so I don't count it as problems.Overall the printer is good deal for the one with multi functions.

Wireless setup was easy, scans to file easily, print is above average. Ink use kills the good points.. will not print B & W if a color cartridge is empty and uses small amount of color when printing B & W. so keep extra cartridges around and you will not find them remanufactured Ink volume of new cartridge is low, amount is not even noted on package.AUG 2010, WISH I HAD WAITED AND READ THE LATER POSTS...I ONLY USE THIS TO SCAN TO FILE. BOUGHT ANOTHER PRINTER TO PRINT B & W.

Epson Stylus NX515 is excellent All in one (does not have fax) printer. The best features is the wireless setup, which gives me to print from my laptop. Print speed is really fast, Great quality prints. Good scanner, with choices of quality.

This printer is not worth the money spent. It is cheap quality & has frequent problems printing for no apparent reason. Had to shut down & restart printer several times - still doesnt print. Wish I hadnt just thrown the box out, as I'd like to return it

I've used Epson printers for years and have been happy with them. I bought this one (N515) a month ago and am most disappointed. It is the worst ink guzzler I've ever owned. I did a fairly large color photo print job over the week-end and it's cost me over $1 per page in ink. It isn't finished yet because I ran out of magenta and cyan for the third time, after our local stores had closed. It's also extremely noisy. It sounds like it's falling apart when it pulls a new sheet of paper in. I finally put it on a foam pad, which helped a little, but I still hear it far from my office door. The pictures are still the Epson quality I expected, but for the two above reasons, my next printer will not be an Epson.

Nice printer. Easy setup of both wired and wireless with all other computers in house from XP to Windows 7 machines. My first networked printer and it is very fast and nice to have all printer and scanner features available on all computers. As noted elsewhere, it is noisy but only when first loading paper. Choose this one over Artisan because we needed to run heavy stock and this has the striaght thru feed allowing the heavier stock to feed without problems. Very fast printing and scanning. It replaces an older Epson RX 500 all in one and I must say I like it alot.

Scanning takes too long. The printing takes a long while to start too. I sent it back to Amazon a couple of days ago. Will buy a different one.

Draft mode is too light to be of use. My HP printer had the option to set the quality of draft mode but not this epson. Also you won't go long before you need to buy ink - its a guzzler. I see those as serious issues so only 2 stars. Print quality is outstanding though.

I have had the Epson NX510 printer for one month and already had to replace the black ink cartridge. No free shipping for direct orders unless you order large quantity. IT WILL NOT SCAN!! Have contacted their online help, plus Microsoft, geek squad and their fixes don't work. it appears to be a software problem.The only place I can put it is on top shelf of my desk which means I have to get on a stepstool half the time I use it to be able to see the buttons.Had I known all this before I ordered it, I would have gotten an HP.

I had it for five months. Loved it until now.It does not recognize the new replacement cartridges and the printer turns off when inserting a memory card. Where do I dispose of this piece of junk????

The features of this product are great. The one minor glitch is that the paper has to be lined up very "correctly" in the paper holder or it misfires. We change often from recycled paper to good new paper so this is an inconvienience for us. If you do not change paper it would not be an issue.

Overall, I would say this is a very good printer/scanner/copier. Print speed is fast and the quality is good. It seems to use more ink than I'm used to (I've owned another Epson and a Brother before). Start up is loud and sometimes a little startling (paper feed). It is compact but sturdy in construction. My biggest disappointment is that I expected to be able to send a fax because it is described as an ALL IN ONE. My others had a fax feature. This one does not. So if you need to fax, keep looking. Other than that, I recommend it.

I bought this printer to replace a big clunky HP I own. It is nice and compact and was easy to set up. I am impressed with the features for the money. I really like the wireless feature; no cords to fight with or hide. Unfortunately it has a large appetite for ink cartridges but overall I am very pleased. I will review after I have owned and used it for a few more months.

Prints great pictures, and the price is right. Text looks great, too, and it's relatively fast. Scans look great. But if you are thinking about getting this and you have Macs, beware: The setup is painful. I finally got it to work for one computer, but never could for another. I finally downloaded Gutenprint [...] for the NX400 series, and that seems to work, but does not offer all features. And on the one where I got the Epson drivers to work, it crashes iPhoto. Could be a Snow Leopard problem, in which case I hope it will clear up soon. EPSON also loads dozens and dozens of setup files onto your hard drive that make troubleshooting a challenge. The web-based help is not so good.

I have owned this printer for about a month, and was really impressed with the ease of setup and the convenience of printing wirelessly. However in the past month, I have printed at the most 100 pages of PLAIN TEXT and it is already time to replace the ink cartridge. Before purchasing this printer, I would advise you to read the reviews on the ink cartridges, where other frustrated epson users have vented about the money that has been spent on ink. After buying two of the high capacity cartridges which would last an average person 2-3 months at the most, you have spent enough to buy a new printer. NOT worth the flashy features of this printer.

I tried two of these printers. They print well, they scan well, they are fast, they set up easily, the scanner software is amazing, but THEY ARE INK SPONGES. Both printers used up half their ink on 10 5x7 highest quality photos and 15 copies of a MS Word letter. The printer wastes a LOT of ink when it starts up from sleep mode, and even uses ink when all you want to do is scan. I took both of them back to Best Buy.
