The printing heads clogged. The ink cost me $75 to replace and still doesn't work and there is no easy way to unclog it.I have a fancy Epson paper weight now.Noisy as heck.Don't know what to do. I've had it for less than two months and have only used it very sparingly. Ugh!I'll probably buy a new printer rather than repair because I don't want to deal with the hassle.

At first i was not wild about an all-in-one printer. It was easy to setup, it paired wirelessly with my laptop flawlessly. It is connected to my desktop via USB, again with no problems, considering my laptop is running Vista Home Premium and the desktop is running XP Home Edition. To make copies the computer does not have to be on and you can print directly from a varity of cards. Overall i would rate this printer excellent and highly recommend it.

Don't even think about buying an Epson. Loved it at first, great print quality even though it sucks the ink. Had not used it much and got the dreaded, "ink pads nearing end of life"???? Contact Customer Support. I have never had an HP anywhere near END OF LIFE. I paid mega bucks for the Artisan 800 and also END OF LIFE! They should have told me it was a throw away printer!I feel cheated and will never buy any Epson product again.

I bought this printer from another vendor but I will like to leave some comments here as it will be helpful to other users, like me, who are looking for some information about this printer. THe important thing I wanted to share was that there is no need for a USB cable, if you have a wireless network at your place. When I was looking to buy this printer, I didn't find any information that if there is no USB cable then will it be working or not. But as I bought this and follow the easy installation steps in the product documentation, I was able to setup this printer for wifi access and printed easily. Setting up this printer is the most easist thing, as I tried it on Windows 7. Without any problem, setup was able to find the printer from my computer and printed. I didn't print much so can't comment on ink consumption and quality but the test page print wasn't so acceptable quality.I tried the scanning through wifi without cable, and I was able to get really nice scan with ease so that also saved the extra purchasing of usb cable, which is not that expansive but it saved me time as I bought printer from a retail store, not online, so I didn't have to wait for USB cable to arrive and setup.Printer was really silent, there wasn't any loud noise of start up or printing. So overall, aside for ink consumption, it seems a nice printer.

I've had this all-in-one for 3 months. I bought this printer because of it's WIFI connectivity and the idea of having 3 machines in one.Was I happy with it???.....NOT! Overall, print quality was nothing remarkable. It occasionally skips pages and won't allow draft printing. It makes a startling noise on start-up my landlord's beagle won't go anywhere near it. The thing I really despise about it is its heavy ink usage. I had to replace ink 3 times (black) and twice for the rest of the colors for the entire time I had the machine with me. It would have been forgivable if the cartridges are in a reasonable proportion to its cost but give perhaps another usd20, you'd be able to buy a new printer with the cost of a set of its ink. The last time this machine asked to "replace ink", I thought..hmmm, maybe I'd postpose printing and just scan but...surprise...Epson customer service said I'd have to put new ink first before the machine will resume function. Aargh..I complained and so to appease me, they sent a complimentary set of ink cartridges but of all mishaps, the inks arrived after 3 weeks and 2 follow-up phone calls (I was told to expect it at my doorstep in 5 days)!!! I am so unhappy with this all-in-one it's now boxed and ready to ship back whatever it takes...sorry.

I purchased this All-in-one because I used my sister-in-law's Epson scanner, and really liked the color restoration feature in the scanner software. I am very happy with my purchase. I love the wireless capability, and the wireless set up was very simple and took no time.

Easy to set up, easy to use. Found network with no problem. Software CD setup Toshiba Satellite Laptop without any problems on first try. This is the way it's supposed to work!

The ink jet cartridges are more expensive to replace than this miserable printer. I've had a Canon ink jet which was worthless after a few pages. I thought Epson would be better. No way. You can't even use cartridges that are not made by Epson. I just ordered a $50 Samsung laser printer. Hope it works better than these. No color but I rarely print anyways. Inkjets dry out. If you do a lot of color printing, you may as well invest in a color laser. These inkjets are junk.

This printer took a little time to set up for all my computers to print wirelessly, mainly because you have to install the software on all devices that are going to use it. Once done it works very good and, man is it fast. Ive printed alot and still havent needed to replace my ink yet, The cartiges are very small in size compares to other brands. Overall I'm statified.

I bought this printer based on internet reviews, thinking I was making a wise purchase. I was wrong. I use the printer very little, but when I do, it prints about one out of every five lines. The heads require cleaning any time I try and print after a week or more of inactivity, which drains about 3-5% of the cartridges' capacity. If you don't print every single day, do not buy this item. If you do print every day, well, you still probably shouldn't buy it.

Over the years, I have owned many HP printers but this is my first Epson. I was attracted to this model by the Epson's features and cost. Positive reviews by several computer sites and magazines was also a big factor.Setup was easy and the buttons are well laid out. Using these buttons along with the onboard LCD display made it easy to print from a memory card without using the computer.I was immediately satisfied with the print quality but it took a little tweaking before getting a satisfactory photo scan. After confirming that descreening and dust removal were selected from within the Epson Scan program, the results were very good. I would think that these settings could vary according to the specific type of scan you are doing.Overall, I have been very happy with this all-in-one. When compared to previously owned HP products, the print and scan results are as good as or maybe a little better in quality.I connected this printer locally by USB and use the wireless feature to access the printer from the other computers on my network. The wireless feature works well and there was no problem setting it up.If you plan to do a lot of late night printing, keep in mind that this is a very noisy printer. The grinding sounds like there is a problem with the paper feed but wasn't unexpected since I had read other reviews stating the same thing.Since I have only owned the Epson for about a month, I can't speak about its endurance over the long haul but if the noise doesn't bother you, I would recommend this printer/scanner for home use.

For printing, this item gets 4 stars. The print quality is nice for a printer I got so cheap ($69.99). Print speed is good, too. I like that it needs minimal intervention for double-sided printing--my previous printer didn't even do that much. (But why should I have to click something on the computer to get it started again? I want to be able to press something on the printer.) Drawbacks: OMG, it's noisy, and it guzzles ink like water from the sink.For scanning, I think I give this item 2 stars, for one reason--the scanning bed is at an angle. That is to me so moronic, I can't move past it. I wanted to scan a photo, and it kept sliding off the glass. There are no feet on bottom to raise the front (or at least I didn't see any). I had to put a 1-inch thick book underneath to level it. How is this good design? On the plus side, it has optional fully automated scanning, and takes 1/20th (or less) the amount of time to scan a photo as my Microtek ScanMaker i900.I have not yet used this item for copying.

I've had this for a few months now. The ink that it came with lasted about 60 sheets. The yellow cart was still half full, but the black one went empty. Red and blue were at 25%. I replaced all the ink with high-capacity refills and after 20 sheets the ink levels havent went down a hair. It appears the $100 worth of high-capacity ink is going to last awhile for me.The scanner is amazing! I tested it on some special documents and suprisingly it picked up real fine, barely visible markings, in proper color, that I didn't expect it to pick up... The only thing this concerns me with this is how easy it is for counterfieters these days.The features are easy to figure out and Wi-fi is a simple setup.Print quality is superb. I don't print too often but when I do I want quality. I wanted a good printer for a long time but was hesitant to spend money on something I wouldn't use too often. Very satisfied with this printer, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who plans on printing 1000 photos and filling up a filing cabinet with an encyclopedia of documents.

this baby eats ink for breakfast. i had to change my ink cartridges 2 times over the summer.my daughter got it for the new school year and she says its working good with the pronting but she's constantly asking for me to fix the inkthe scanning takes FOREVERhonestly, dont buy this. it will be your worst mistake.

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT buy this printer!!! Unless you like buying hundreds of dollars worth of ink cartidges! This printer is good overall but not worth the fact that you cant afford to print on it! I have owned many printers, different brands and such, and never have I come accross something like this! This is the "Houdini" of printers because the ink dissapears to nowhere! I mean it one second you have a full ink level, and Bam printed 1 paper and you have 3/4! I wish I would have seen these reviews before I wasted mymoney on this! I have had it about 8 months and am ready to just cut my losses and buy a new one, not worth continuallyinvesting in! Dont listen to these people who have only had it a month or two, They just don't know yet!!!!!

When setting up for a weekend prison ministry, discovered that delivered printer had a hardware error. Epson support was great but only option they could offer (ship it in for a replacement) would have left me without a printer for the weekend! Fortunately Epson gave me the name of 3 Best Buy stores in my area and I was able to purchase the exact same printer at the exact same price, but this time could test it in the store before I left. I will be returning the broken printer to Amazon for a refund (I hope). For the record this is the first time that I have had a problem with anything bought from Amazon. The difference here was the narrow time window during which the product was of any use to me.

I had to buy a new printer 5 months a go and already I had to replace the color ink 3 times and the black about 6 times. I hardly use the color? So I am not sure where it goes. If you buy the cheaper black it last only a few weeks if you print occasionally. Beware if you do buy this printer and go through places like Inkfarm, love their service but the ink cartridges don't always work. I used to complain about $45 dollar ink cartridges but this is getting ridiculous. I am thinking of getting a new printer. Also if the color is running low, or even just one of the colors, the printer will stop working, unless it is replaced, even if it is a color other than black and you only need to use black. Cheap printer and everything else is great but expensive on ink and stupid in ink settings. Short story this printer is not worth buying.

This is a super fast printer. It is well priced, and the ink is affordable. I would have been willing to pay a bit more to have had fax capability!If you do not need this to send faxes, you cannot ask for a better printer at an outstanding price!

This is a very easy printer to set up for wireless operation. The instructions couldn't be any clearer. The speed is unbelievable and the print quality is excellent. One reviewer commented that you couldn't scan to your computer but if you load the software that comes with the printer, it is easy to initiate a scan from the computer and save your images to the computer's hard drive. It scans much faster than my HP flatbed scanner at work. I suppose anyone can get a defective product, and I can't speak for others but I found this to be a great printer not to mention a terrific price. If I had any negatives at all it would be in the price of ink.

While the printer was easy to setup and the network install fairly easy, this printer fails when it comes to using it on a daily basis. Since I purchased it from Amazon in October, pieces are falling off and the front panel paper holder fails too retract and the end of the panel has broken off. I would have returned it but I kept trying to give it another chance. It sucks regular ink cartridges like a kid drinking a coke and you have to buy the extra capacity cartridges if you want any time with it. If you are going to use this printer for a high workload, dont. Maybe for occasional use it would be fine. This is my rating. Networking and setup 10, Workload 3.It also has a problem holding paper and sets it at a slight angle which causes the paper to jam, you have to always "dink" with it to get the paper in the right position. This printer is icky.

Not much to say over and beyond all the accolades of this printer. Everything set up and works as advertised. The instruction manual and set up instructions are clear and precise...the ink installation and paper set ups are a breeze....and the step-by-step directions had me up and running in no time. The operations from scanning, copying and printing are fast and flawless and the quality of the print is outstanding. If there can be any slight criticism, it has to do with a long delay with which the printer takes to print from a standby mode. It takes the printer a good 40-60 seconds to print a page. Once however the printer is working, the speed and quality is amazing. This is actually the 2nd same printer in the family....I purchased this for my daughter to use at college. She is very happy with it and so I took that leap of faith and bought one for home. I am confident that for the money, it is the best all-in-one printer out there and provides the fastest speed and highest quality even vs. printers of higher price.I certainly recommend this printer...it has earned 5 stars in my book!

Product prints and scans as advertised. Printouts look great. However, the software is cobbled together, non-intuitive, and outdated. The printing software can find the unit, but you have to give the scanning software the IP address too, separately. I upgraded from an old Brother model which had software that just worked and was all integrated; I didn't realize how good I had it.For years, customer's have been complaining about their "Status Monitor 3" software that's used with most of their printers. It just won't hold a connection to the printer, so you can't see your ink levels or printing progress. Here's a link for more details. I just bought this and downloaded the latest drivers/software and can't believe they haven't fixed this yet![...]
