I decided to go down the cinema surround road, and after looking on the internet and reading reviews I decided to go for this cinema amp, I definitely made the right choice, this a a belter. Superb sound quality in surround sound, and its also very good with music. I'm one very happy customer :-)

Love my new"magic"box. I've been an avid Sony fan for a long time. Sadly the last Sony receiver (which passes HD TiVo through it) did not allow the TiVo to work in the shuttle modes very well. The Sony had so many manual settings I never got it set up quite right. This Denon was as plug and play as you can get. It senses the proper recorded audio settings and adjusts itself. The shuttle modes on TiVo seem to work much better and it sounds great! Awesome!

The Denon was fairly easy to set up. I had to call their tech number to find out why my subwoofer wasn't working. He helped me get it going. I only had a wait time of 1 min! He said Denon was trying to give excellent customer support. I have had to wait 15 - 20 min from other brands. That is important to be able to get through quickly and to get someone you can understand.
I have not had a chance to try all of its features, using the ipad with it. I had a different brand with 130w hooked up this one only being 95w. There is a difference. This still sounds good but the extra power makes a difference. If you can afford more power especially with surround when pushing a bunch of speakers, subwoofer I would do it. I think this one would still make most people happy.
I have heard a lot of people say that Denon is one of the top brands out there, so I am sure you can buy this one with confidence that it should work well for many years. The remote control is well laid out. Bigger buttons to be able to read. Denon told me because my DVD player has red and white plugs for the in connection to the Denon I am not getting true surround sound. I will try and get a new one and leave more comments. I have other audio systems that cost thousands of dollars and this blows them out of the water. The setup, while long results in an amazing sound. The clarity is unbelievable. It was very easy to setup and firmware updates are a cinch. I highly highly recommend this receiver.

the box came tattered and torn, with the receiver rattling inside due to crumbled styrofoam. i was definitely concerned but the unit itself looks and functions totally like new. so i guess i cant complain. the audyssey microphone/program seems to be a waste of life - it ended up way better with manual settings.
overall great receiver with great sound, when paired up with some great speakers of course. nice and beefy with more than enough power.

I was surprised to find that this AVR has built in electronics to work with Apple iOS Airplay. You don't need the Apple TV set top box to play your iPod or iPhone music through this AVR. No pairing is needed. You just have to be on the same local area network. No matter what input the AVR is set to, when you hit the Airplay button on your iPhone or iPod app that has it, the AVR immediately starts playing the music you have selected. The feed from the remote device is treated as just another radio station.

The X2000 has proven to be a fantastic AVR. I mothballed by Onkyo TX-NR809 when the X2000 arrived and it remains mothballed. The Denon setup assistant walked me through the installation and setup. The Audyssey setup was quick and the results were good enough for me to leave alone. The audio quality is excellent. When I played a few of my 7.1 Blu-Ray discs the Denon delivered a rich, truly theaterical sound. At one point I looked out my front door expecting to see a dog barking on my porch. There was no dog. It was the X2000.
I don't mind the lack of wi-fi or bluetooth. The internet functionality the X2000 delivers is top-notch and what you would expect at this price point. I listen to the BBC and Pandora quite a bit. My Wife's Ipad controls the X2000 quite nicely and so does my old Samsung Captivate.
The menus are clean and easy to navigate. Accessing the X2000 through the web on your home network is easy and provides a good way to add favorite stations.
The only drawback for me is the remote will not control my TV. Other than that, I'm loving it.

The possibility to convert 7.1 to different sound modes is greate. Second independent zone is what I was looking for. If only it was a bit more slim... But after all great sound!

This indirect review is for the Android Denon Remote App as I'm still waiting for everything to burn in. I am able to stream media via ethernet from a server to this receiver while controlling it wirelessly via tablet. The Denon Remote App is awesome. Windows Media Player doesn't allow flac streaming so I used foobar2000 as the media server. The app also allows me to create a live playlist. I can add, delete, and rearrange song order without interrupting music playback (also power on/off, adjust volume).

This is exactly what I needed to upgrade my home theater. I looked at the AVR-X4000 but this one was completely what I required. The iOS app works great with it and with my 3D Vizio TV, Sony Blu-Ray, Apple TV, and old Sony DVD changer.
It seems to have less power for sound than my previous receiver, but it is every bit too loud enough! I also like the Audyssey sound calibration. Works great for me.

Had this receiver for about six months now. It has excellent sound quality, networks well and there are handy apps for smartphones, ipads, computers for running it. The install was easy and the microphone allows you to dial in the sound perfectlys. Bought a similar Yamaha product for the upstairs media room and was not nearly as impressed as the Denon. This is the sixth Denon amp I have bought and they have all worked well and been handed down to kids with no reliability problems.

Did my research, settled on Denon, and this fit the right combination of budget Price and Performance for me, so I went for it... And I wasn't disappointed!

This receiver is top notch and sounds great on my new reference series towers.
The from the ipod jack on the front, the much easier to use remote ( a big requirement from my girlfriend), and the great sound quality I have been very happy with this purchase.

I wanted a unit that I was comfortable with as an enthusiast, but also that my kids (10 years old and younger) would be able to use. The Denon system exceeds all my hopes. The remote and menus are simple and clear. The quality for movies and good uncompressed audio is just everything I hoped for.

Does what it says on the can and much more, couldn't be easier to set up and configure,you can set each speaker up individually to suit your own preferences,only thing that worries me a bit is how hot it gets under the tv on the stand,but with 8 power amps it's to be expected I suppose,latter that evening saw American Express were using the same model in thier H.O. public display area. Can't fault it as yet.

Perfect sond and easy multi room set up with app contol and spotify built in, ticks all the boxes for us. Airplay not as straight forward, but works better with dnons app anyway.

Для тех, кто не любит Денон не имеет ни малейшего понятия.

Этот Денон-отличный приемник. У меня было это уже три года и он ни разу меня не подвела. Звук сдувает дешевле ресиверы, и вы можете сказать, качество компонентов по массе приемника. Я купил Пионер, но вернулся, потому что мой Денон звучал намного лучше. Если вы хотите дешевый приемник, то это не для вас, но если вы заботитесь о звук и продолжительное качество, то не смотрите дальше. Проблемы питания
Я приобрел данный аппарат по совету продавца, который заявил, что компания Denon была большая покупка. Неправильно. У меня были периодические проблемы питания на ранней стадии, но проигнорировала проблему забывчивости и вместо того, чтобы продолжить устранение неполадок громкоговорители и монтажа электропроводки. Я наконец-то отправила аппарат в гарантийный ремонт только с той же проблемой несколько месяцев, и вне гарантии позже. Это был мой первый и последний Денон.
