Bin the perpetual selling campaign and just give usxwhat it says on the tin.
I liked the speed it arrived. Could do without the forced selling of stuff on it though. This gives me problems with drivers and everything for the use. Even the use of word etc. When you buy the laptop and it says what's on on it then that is what o expect. I do not want the perpetual trying to sell the top edition of word or security systems etc.

Great laptop so far
I've had it a couple of weeks and so far so good. It's so silent which is amazing. Sometimes when I've got a bunch of things open it does start to make a bit of noise but it's really not loud at all. Today the microphone stopped working but I googled a solution and was able to fix it in 5 minutes.
Takes about 1 minute to restart the laptop - super fast!! Very happy.

New Dell Inspiron 3000 15.6-inch
very fast indeed, well pleased. BUT please note, this model does NOT have a back light fot lighting up the keyboard, if it does, I can not find how to turn the thing on. So do be aware of this! otherwise nice little machine.

Does the job
This laptop is on the basic side, but as expected for the money. It feels very plasticky, the lid is easily marked with scratches (I just rested another laptop on top of it and it already looks a bit scraped)... but it is very comfortable to type on.
things I find hugely annoying though: When hovering the cursor over something, it clicks through without me clicking it, if that makes sense. I'm sure it's a setting of some kind, but I haven't worked out yet how to stop it doing that. And secondly, the touchpad is not centred on the laptop, or even the main keyboard without the number pad - it's located more to the left. Which means that I constantly end up right-clicking instead of left-clicking. WHY would you design a laptop like that??
But apart from that, it's light, easy to use, and will do the job I bought it for.

Fast, smooth and parents love it!
My parents are in their 80s and like many older folk struggle a little with the latest technology. I replaced their Windows 8 laptop with this and they have been over the moon with it. It boots very quickly with its SSD and the keyboard is very easy to use. They use it mainly for email and surfing and so don't have need of large HDD storage.
Can't pick fault with it really, but then it was a couple of hundred £s more than their last one so that might be a factor. I guess you get what you pay for. Would happily recommend.

Great
Just great. The fan is loud and makes a high pitched noise though, I have it lifted up so the fan doesn't come on as much. Apart from that, it works good, fast!

It's a Dell, what's not to like?
I received my Dell today and immediately got working on it. There is no keyboard backlight as advertised but the keyboard is easy to use and everything works as it should. The speed is good and the glare from the screen is minimal. I am well chuffed with it.

CAN'T FIND SELLER CONTACT DETAILS
The product is good but the screen has a problem loading. It has full screen foggy image, but I don't see the seller's phone number to contact them about the issue.

Can't fault it
My previous laptop (an Asus) had various little irritants so I wasn't as annoyed as I might have been when the dog managed to pull it off the table. I've had this Inspiron for a little while now and it really does just quietly and efficiently do it's thing. It's also the first AMD processor I've had in well over a decade and again quickly and quietly does whatever its asked.

It is in use every day for research, writing and most days for zoom, Google meet and other activities - a work horse -and one that gets on with the job

Good, but not recomended for gaming
It's a good laptop, light and thin, but I wouldn't recomend it for gaming. I doesn't support high quality for games.

Can't find a fault with this ...
Great little computer at a good spec, was a bit concerned at not buying the top Pentium processors, but this is just great. I bought it 6 months ago and am still impressed. I have bought a laptop at similar spec and price before and that one is performs very well, but really weak plasticy build that feels brittle, this is compact and pretty sturdy feeling.
It has very nice surround sound and it makes me wonder why you'd spend much more money when you can get a laptop like this.

Resolution not the best.
So a really easy laptop to set up. Starts quickly but for me thats the positives. Key board and key pad feel like cheap plastic. Worse thing for me was the screen resolution, it boasts full HD but even watching youtube or Twitch on 1080p it looks more like 480p. Graphics look washed out. I could not recommend this product.

Cracking little laptop
Got this for Granddaughter and university, she's currently finishing college and loves this laptop. Realy easy to set up and the SSD drive makes all the difference. Blisteringly quick. Recommended.

On opening the box the immediate feel is of a low quality cost reduced product. It does not have that quality feel of Previous Dells ive bought.
Ok it works. but it would be better i'f I wasn't constantly nagged by Dell to buy their other products as i'm using the Dell.
The case and keyboard is black plastic finished in a horrible a sort of sand blasted effect that shows up all scuffs and surface dust.
Dell could do better.

This laptop is so much faster than my old one.
Worked straight from the box. Bit of a pfaff transferring files from my old laptop. But it was my choice not to pay more money for bespoke software on offer.

loads up and is ready superfast
I love my new laptop, as I said it's fast to load very easy to use and is very light. The only complaint I have is... it said with backlight on the keys but I can't find a way to turn it on.... also the continuous messages from Dell to use their set up is quite annoying, apart from that it's a great laptop.

Great Laptop.
My order arrived well before the due date, I unpacked it and was very impressed with the Size,Finish,Weight and most of all the performance,the only downside I think is that it dosn't have a "Backlight" Keyboard.

This laptop is light good screen size and very responsive, the mouse clicks are taking a bit of getting used too.
