Firstly, you can get this installed only through Daikin. If you use your own AC technician, the warranty would be void
Secondly, the guys Daikin sends, is ridiculously expensive. They charge 1500 for installation, along with so many other charges like Stand installation charges (I purchased the stand myself, they charge extra just to drill 4 holes in the wall and fix the stand), plug charges, insulation tape charges. hose pipe charges, electrical wire charges. All these are absolutely necessary for installation of the AC and dont come with the A/C
Luckily, I already had copper tubes installed by another AC technician. Otherwise would have had to pay a lot of money for copper tubes too.
Overall, excluding the copper tubes, you will end up paying Rs. 3000 to 4000 per AC for basic installation. If you need copper tubes, it will cost you much more than this.
Though its of smaller capacity does its job nicely...Our room is 120sqt with direct sun light exposure from 2 sides (with sparsely occupied)...it takes around 3 mins to feel the cooling and around 7 mins to completely cool the room...only drawback is the lack of background light in remote (u need any other light backup to operate it...but its ok to just on or off the AC as it has minimal radium effect for buttons alone...)..its from best brand...so satisfied with the performance and purchase...
Installation was also good..quicker response ...but as expected they charged around 2k 😐(1500 std insta charge + 400 fr copper wire + 50
fr plug + 250 fr outer unit stand fixing though outer unit stand was already available with us.) charge is bit costlier comparatively...but nice work done by tech team...
If decided to go with budget friendly AC from nice brand for medium usage..its gud to go...
Will give review fr energy efficiency once bill comes...since its non inverter fr heavy users it wont be a gud idea...
this is the second unit I have purchased , on installation we found no refregent gass in the unit to run and we see a 5 star energy lable fixed on the unit; this is a clear cut example that daikin sending out unit after assembly fixing the 5 star lable with out testing energy consumption against the direction of energy authority of India, this is grave offence done to the public who purchase product seeing the energy lable of energy authority of India.Goverment should take proper action against this kind of manufactures and not allow this kind of product in the Indian market to product the public.
Indoor unit;-
1) by reducing the length and increasing the hight (A) the air through area reduced , (B) parity in appearance destroied eventhough you have added some new fechers; it does not give a good look for modern bed rooms.
outdoor unit:-
you have reduced the size of the unit to suit western countries,but ours is place of dust, polution and heat, except northern side, we require abiger size to withstand dust and polution for the durability of the roduct.
excellent product. 0.8 ton..but cooling better than 1 ton ac.. room size 10x12.. chilled in 10 minutes. have to operate at 26° as cooling too much.. silent operation.
installation done in 2 hours. good installation. charges 4000... 750 for 1 metre extra copper pipe and 700 for 7 metre copper wire plus 600 for drain pipe... overall very good installation...
I recommend you to check the AC thoroughly for defects before installing it to avoid any trouble. Things you should check:
1. Outer body for any damages.
2. The evaporator coils in the indoor unit.
3. The front panel door of the indoor unit.
4. Horizontal and vertical Louvres (swing).

Not recommended. Poor service.
I've purchased this AC in the month of May. The installation was done on 25th May. We asked the installation guys to check if there was any damage so that we could return the product if any damage was found. They said that the product is good and we too didn't find any damage on the outside.
After 2-3 weeks I opened the indoor unit to clean the air filters and I've noticed that evaporator fins were bent. I checked again carefully and found that an entire row of fins were damaged.
I contacted Daikin for a replacement since it was only few weeks since the purchase. They asked me send the pics on WhatsApp. They called me and said that it's completely normal and that all ACs have fins bent like this. They said that since it's not affecting the cooling they won't replace the indoor unit. They simply said it is fine as your room is getting cooled there is no problem.
They denied my warranty claim saying that AC was not damaged. Why should I accept an AC with manufacturing defect inspite of paying nearly Rs. 54,000?
I've asked Amazon to help me with the warranty claim and I'll update this review later.
2)No indoor temperature display.
3)Night time remote buttons not visible (radium buttons not there).
4)Remote always on, (there is no switch off button), so batteries fastly discharge.
These 4 are major mistakes.

I like this Daikin AC,
i will give 5 rating.
Daikin is totally worth it's money for its cooling capacity and quality parts. Much reliable.
I preferred JTKJ series for its temperature display on indoor unit (also compressor speed in display, check youtube) and dehumidifier option.
You can't go wrong with any Daikin model, just research on Daikin India website and decide according to your need.

Amazon delivery and installation very next day and best service. (I got free installation offer, and no stand required at my house, so didn't pay anything extra.)
All the remote options works perfect and are much helpful like power boost, good sleep, econo, coanda and intelligent eye.
But issue is of the numerous hidden charges while installing it. Exorbitant prices for wiring. They charge for installing the drain pipe, even though it is just hanging after the first 2 feet.
And none of their so called rates are "fixed".
I was given an estimate of 7k + 1500. So i am returning the product.
The other AC was without any gas, and possible reason was a puncture in tubes internally. To get it verified that there was an issue and to raise a replacement it took more than two days, and since the replacement request was done I have been waiting for 4 days for the replacement AC to be dispatched. And will wait further 24 hours for supervisor callback.
After dispatch for sure I have to wait about 4-5 days for delivery, then again 72 hours for installation. So all in all about 25 days of I am lucky.
And yes I still don't know what happens to installation and de-instantiation cost- if I will be reimbursed.
Basically large equipment from Amazon... Buy at your own risk.
