отличная модель

+ Работает. Проблем не выявлено.
- Ничего значительного применительно к конкретной реализации адаптера.

Использована для создания дополнительного интерфейса в неразборном роутере (эксперимент, в некотором роде). Работа под pfSense (FreeBSD 8.1) - пока идеально. В работе пока только сутки. Тестирование показало пропускную способность на все 100Mb. По цене - завышено в 1.5-2 раза, но это уже не к производителю, а, скорее, к рынку. По размеру не Linksys USB200M, но зато работает постабильнее... Загрузка CPU - это следствие подхода (Ethernet -> USB), а не реализации, при прямых OS и драйвере - ничего сверхъестественного.

- УНИКАЛЬНО низкий срок службы. Гарантия 10 месяцев штатная, проработали две штуки по году, на 13 месяц сдохли без шансов, вплоть до выбивания в синий экран и везде с потерями пакетов.

Универсальная штука, USB почти не влияет на задержку, но увы, см. недостатки.

отличная модель

+ Хорошая скорость, качественно сделан, легко подключается.
- При работе сильно нагружает процессор.

Использую этот адаптер для планшета на Windows 7 у которого нет Lan, только WiFi.
Подключился без малейших проблем, диск даже не понадобился, драйверы нашлись по первой же ссылке в гугле. Конструкция на вид и на ощупь надежная, сделано всё качественно.
Копирование файла 1.5GB с планшета на комп происходило со скоростью 11.4 MB/s, то есть свои положенные 100 мегабит в секунду адаптер полностью отрабатывает.
При копировании нагрузка на процессор (двухъядерный AMD Brazos 1GHz) была 50-60%, при скачивании с торрентов со скоростью 3.2 MB/s нагрузка была 70-80%. Для меня это несущественно, но если кто собирается например играть в онлайн-игры с тяжелой графикой - могут быть проблемы.

- вырубается при копировани больших объемов инфы

тестилась в составе Server 2003. обнаружился неприятный глюк - ставишь на копирование много файлов, порядка гигов 20, неважно пишешь на сервак или с него копируеш, и по прошествии некоторого времени скорость копирования начинает падать пока не опустится до 0, при этом на серваке падает служба маршрутизации/NAT, сама сетевуха перестает видится в сети. лечится только перезагрузкой. связано это с дровами или это чисто железная проблема непонятно.
если ее сильно не нагружать (поработала-отдохнула), то вроде ведет себя стабильно.

Можно смело брать и не слушать тех, кто говорит что на USB сетевой карте никогда не достичь полных 100 мбит. Всё прекрасно работает, скорость как и на встроенной или PCI плате. Задержку подключения не заметил.

+ Отличная альтернатива для обычной PCI сетевой карты или если интегрированная сетевая карта неработает.
- Практический нет. Разве что подключение соединения происходит на 5-10 секунд позже чем у PCI или интегрированной сетевой карты.

+ Лёгкий, гибкий, удобный и качественный. Макбуки очень капризный к "неродственным" аксессуарам, но этот - приняли:)) работает отлично уже 4 мес
- не заметила, но, возможно: нагревается сильно. С другой же стороны, у меня скоростной, кабельный инет и, они все нагреваются...

The board is only 1/3 the volume of the chassis and the USB cable is attached to the board by a sensible pin arrangement by a regular 5 pin header.It draws a bit more power than you'd want to supply directly with the Pi, but it plays nicely with powered USB hubs. The built-in drivers in raspbian handle this device out of the box.

...actually, depending on the hardware revision of this device. I got the cheapest one that I could find (~$10), which was version A1. Windows 7 could not find a driver for it and would not allow me to install one manually. Some looking around on the web revealed that this revision is incompatible with Windows 7.

I have an Atom-based motherboard with a single built-in network interface. I needed to add a second network interface so that I could turn the machine into a router. This device worked perfectly for my needs. I'm running Ubuntu Server 10.04.3 and it was detected correctly and works perfectly. The connection has been rock solid for about a month now. The 100mb speed wasn't an issue for me since it's still faster than my DSL connection. Very pleased and highly recommended for Linux users.

Works great with my 2nd gen 11" Macbook Air. Since I use my MB Air as a desktop at home, plugged into an Apple Cinema Display, and a USB hub. This Ethernet to USB adapter speeds up my connection through my home network. Simply plugged it in and it started working right away.The only setup needed for me, was to change the priority of the network devices in the System Preferences, so that when plugged in, the USB would be prioritized over than the WiFi.I would not recommend it for portability as it was a bit larger than I expected (about four times as big as the Apple brand adapter). However for home use it worked out great.

I decided to turn an old laptop into a router using pfSense since I needed IPSec VPN capabilities for work and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new router with this capability. Like most laptops, it only has one Ethernet port, so I decided to buy an adapter to add another port. After plugging in the adapter and installing pfSense 1.2.3, for some reason I could only get 50mbps down even though I could get 100 up. I upgraded to pfSense version 2-RC3 and it seemed to use a new driver for the adapter and now I can get the full 100 up and down. So overall I'm very pleased that it worked for what I wanted, and I'm glad the latest pfSense had a good driver for the adapter that allows me to use it at full speed.

After downloading the driver for the MAC for [...], the MAC recognized the device. I activated the device via system preferences/network and I was up and running on the internet. Great to have an item that works just exactly as advertised. It took about 5 minutes total.

Very disappointed! Installed onto my MAC G4, linked up automatically, worked for 3-4days, then suddenly stopped. No changes made to the computer. Spent MANY days troubleshooting, entering different #'s IP addresses, renewing DHCP client ID MAC ID's etc. etc.....Finally decided to try out on our PC, no better, device had a "Problem" but couldn't troubleshoot, drivers not recognized, wouldn't load, on and on. Nothing seems to be working with this, researched, tried many things, to no avail. I could have bought several new ones or a more expensive device by now with the value of the hours I've spent trying to get this one to work. Unfortunate..

You read reviews and they are always mixed. I was attempting to run a customer service program on my laptop for a work from home company. My laptop is a little over one year. However, the program would not run. It gave me a network card error. My ethernet cable was plugged in and my LAN and wireless devices indicated all systems go. The company told me to try using USB ethernet adapter and specifically recommended D-Link. I went to the Microsoft Windows Vista website first to check compatability. Amazon shipped my item today. All I did was insert the USB cable in my computer and searched for drivers and told me it was ready to use. I then inserted the CD in my computer and the program ran and now I am going to be able to work a part-time job from the comfort of my home. Thanks Amazon and D-Link!

This product was sent out to me in a timely manner. Once I received this product, it came with very simple instructions, was extremely easy to install, and once installed was ready to use with nothing further required of me to use it. Overall, I believe that it was a great product and worth what I paid for it. I would even say that it is worth more than I paid.

When the network port in my laptop broke, this seemed like the perfect solution, and if it weren't for the really bad drivers, it might be. But, alas, within minutes of installing the device and its drivers, Windows started giving me blue screens and crashing. When the computer isn't crashing, the network connection fails regularly--to the point where I have to refresh my browser on almost every page load. In short: nice idea, bad implementation.

I spent half a day trying to get this item to work. Phone support was a crime: I consider that they have actually stolen a chunk of my life.The drivers that come with this will actually wreak havoc on your system: they do not work with the device, you can't uninstall them, can't delete them, and you can't overwrite them with a working driver. A little googling will reveal that the programming for the drivers is pure garbage.I think I have to reformat my system to get them off.How can they release a product like this that clearly does not belong on the shelves?I will never purchase another d-link item (I bought a d-link router back in the day when the tech support wasn't outsourced and I had no problems getting help for that).

The unit shipped to me did not function with the software loaded on the disc included. After many hours with tech support they concluded it was non-functional. I kept getting a hardware problem notice every time I connected it to 2 computers I have, both gave the same identical error using windows xp business edition. After much delay I finally got an rma number from their support department but they only refunded about half of the money they charged me. I recommend staying away from this company, their products are junk that don't work and they do not back them up with a total refund of expenses paid including shipping costs both ways.

It seems like a good product now that I have it up and running. I've been on wireless the past few months because my network card stopped responding and with this product, my connection is noticeably a lot more stable and faster.I almost returned the product, however, because I could not get the driver to install. I tried on 3 different relatively new laptops, two of which are Toshibas, and one of which is a Dell - all running Windows XP. As soon as you plug it in, it is recognized, but if you try to install the driver from the CD as suggested, it does not work. It says the driver is missing or corrupt. I tried pointing it to the actual file but that did not work either (by the way the manual is garbage - whoever typed it up never actually tested what they wrote. There are spaces missing in file destination paths).I got it working after going to the D-link website and downloading the driver there and pointing to the specific file myself.Kind of a hassle for me... it might be for you as well, so be wary of that.On a better note though, Amazon.com is great. I ordered late on a Sunday night - Monday was a national Holiday (Columbus Day), and I received it late tuesday afternoon. It wasn't supposed to arrive until next Monday with the Free Shipping I selected, but it only took a day and a half.

DUB-E100 USB to Ethernet adapter was returned when I could not get the included driver to work and neither could their support personnel. They concluded it would not work with my XP-Pro with Service Pack-3!!! The package documentation lists minimum requirements as XP with Service Pack-2. Then purchased Belkin F5D5050 unit. Plugged it in and the Windows Plug and Play software found a driver and installed it with zero hassle.

I bought this to use on my Mac Mini after thinking I was having problems with the Apple USB Ethernet adapter I was using. (Turns out it was some other problem, but oh well.) Anyway, this worked great on the Mac, no drivers needed. Just plugged it in and configured it. My only complaint would be that it is a bit bulky.

As others have written, the newer hardware versions of this once-compatible adapter no longer work with Tivo. Any new purchase of this adapter probably will not work unless you somehow manage to purchase a very old card.The working versions can be confirmed from the Tivo support site in the article titled "Which network adapters work with my TiVo DVR?". Versions A4 and beyond do not work. Guess what I got?The hardware version is on the back of the box near the UPC symbol.

I purchased this because the built-in ethernet port on an older iMac failed. I was surprised when it arrived because the CD said it had Macintosh drivers that *should* have worked with the iMac in questions (hardware, software, etc. met the requirements). However, the device would not connect to the Internet, although the computer saw the device. I installed the free drivers from http://www.sustworks.com/ and then it worked instantly. The hardware itself seems to be working fine, but I lost an hour of my life trying to make D-Link's drivers work.Bottom Line: Buy one for your Mac if you need it (price and h/w specs are good), but just use the free driver and ignore the D-Link CD.

At first, I thought that the computer didn't recognized it. I have Windows 98 and I had used another adapter with a plastic door but it broke. This product is very good and got it started after half an hour. Should have been under 5 minutes but if you have windows 98, you have to make sure that the language the adapter is using is TCP under Control Panel, System and Connections I believe. If you are tired of buying new adapters, Buy this one. It's pretty good. If you have windows 98 and having trouble, email me at omegasun3000@hotmail.com and i'll help you out. You don't need the windows 98 cd if it asks for one. Just search for the file under Start, find. For me, it asked for file Secur32.dll. I just typed it in under Start, Find, and then it tells you where it is located.

This version of the HW doesn't work with the latest Series 2 TiVo. I ordered one, plugged it in, and it doesn't work. TiVo simply doesn't recognize the USB device is plugged in at all.
