No problems. Worked will with my router. Beats getting ripped off by renting one from Comcast. Not sure if it works well with a MAC as it is an older model.

It is working as good as the rented units from the Internet providers.I do not have to pay a monthly rental charge to the provider.I can take it with me as I move from one State to another (Snow Bird).

The modem worked great for last 7 years. The modem is DOCSIS version 2.0 and Comcast is moving towards version 3.0, so you might notice that this device doesnt work in some Comcast territories.

I bought this modem when I signed up for Comcast internet over a year ago. It has worked without any problems since and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others. I have it connected to a D Link DIR-601 wireless router, which has also worked perfectly. I have downloaded lots of high volume content, like HD material from Netflix and Hulu as well as HDTracks, without any interruptions.

I had this modem for two/three years. Initially it worked great, but for the last year I had many intermittent hangups. I thought the problem was with Time Warner cables. Finally I got fed up when the hangups got more frequent and called Time Warner. They sent a technician twice who said he adjusted some filters outside my home. The hangups got more frequent, several times per day. I got a new Motorola SB5101U modem today, got it connected and it seems to work fine now. In the reviews here, I see other people have similar problems, especially related to Comcast. Time Warner bought the network here from Comcast several years ago, so I wonder if this is still this" Comcast compatibility" issue? As suggested by some users, I went to Dlink site to download "Comcast version" of the firmware. Well, there is NO firmware whatsoever available on their site. Looks like this product is unsupported by them anymore...Update: looking at the FAQ for the Motorola modem, I think I understand why there is no longer any firmware update for Dlink modem:"Any and all firmware upgrades to your Motorola cable modem, or any DOCSIS cable modem, is completely under the control of the cable operator. Motorola does not, nor is capable of, controlling the firmware upgrade process." - this seems to apply not only Motorola, but also any DOCSIS modem, including Dlink. So, the problem could be with Time Warner not loading correct firmware into my Dlink modem. It could also be that the modem just started malfunctioning. I guess I'll never know.

Item worked flawlessly with my D-Link wireless router. Comcast forces us customers to either rent their modem for a nice monthly premium or choose from certified modems that are compatible. This was on their list and was relatively inexpensive compared to a year's worth of renting a modem. Since it was in the same company family as my router, I figured it would be a nice match. And it was, and has not had any problems to-date.

I signed up to Comcast just two months ago and when I signed up, the website linked me to a store selling this modem. I purchased this modem as it was the first one on the list. While fine for the internet, it does not work with Skype video calls. Whenever I try to do video calls in Skype, the modem spontaneously restarts itself after 5 minutes on the call, thus dropping the call. This repeats ad nauseum. After some research on the web, I found this is a common problem with this modem and one user recommended the Motorola SB6120. I'll be throwing this modem out.

If you want a hassle free, fast, reliable, easy to install cable modem, this is it. If you can get it. It seems no store has them anymore.

I've owned and operated the D-Link DCM-202 cable modem for around 3 years, initially it worked OK when paired with a D-Link b/g wireless router (neither purchased from Amazon). A year ago the D-Link wireless router stopped functioning, replaced it with a Cisco wireless router which works great. That combination worked great for about 9 months. Now my internet connection is constantly dropping off and I'm suspecting the cable modem as the root cause. It has been a major pain because we have Vonage phone service. The whole modem, router, Vongage box combo has to be re-booted at least once a day right now. I believe the D-Link hardware just isn't reliable in the long term and won't consider it for future networking purchases.

it stop working after 2 months. The power and cable lights are green, but other lights are completely off. Spent more than 30 minutes on the phone with tech support in order to get the case Id for RMA, and did all the stupid things they asked, like after run ipconfig to get media disconnected, then go to the web browser and browse for google, yahoo,....not sure if they understand or just want people to give up. Anyway, Not like any other manufacture, you just return the unit that did not work and get back the same item. They asked to return the box like the original, so don't throw away any paper like manual,...like i did and the manual cost $20...It totally wasted my time, I won't buy dlink product anymore

I{m using this modem with Comcast's Economy package. The cable guy had some problems setting it up, but eventually, he got it to work, and it's been working well. The speed of cable is great.

I set this up, called Time Warner to give them the MAC address, and it was working instantly! I connected it to D-Link's DIR-615 wireless-N router, which I and a lot of other people have had terrible trouble with before, and as soon as I plugged it in, the wireless network was working too.I bought this modem to replace the crappy no-name modem Time Warner gave me that just plain would not share an internet connection no matter what router or hub it was connected to. I would urge anyone who's having trouble connecting a D-Link router to their modem to try this modem, because they have no problem talking to each other.UPDATE: MAY 2012Two weeks after I started using this modem, our internet connection began dropping out at random. We soon figured out that we could usually get it to come back by rebooting this modem, which unfortunately required walking across the apartment to unplug and replug the AC adapter into this modem. We had to do this at least once every couple days, sometimes every couple of hours. We had repairmen from Time Warner come out to the apartment several times to take a look at things, but they were never able to find anything wrong. At the time, we blamed TWC for our internet access woes.Last year, I moved to another location, and we got our internet from TWC once again. This time, the technician plugged our router into the generic modem that TWC supplies, and everything worked perfectly right away. No router issues, no internet access issues, no dropped connections. In the year that we've lived in our new apartment with our new generic modem, the internet connection has died once. Compare that to dying once a day on average!I purchased this modem used, so I cannot speak to the quality of a new unit. I also cannot rule out spotty TWC service in our old apartment as the root of the problem, although the service technicians assure me it was not. This modem's going in the trash.

Easy to install does exactly what it says it would and was shipped in a timely manner. Bought if for Comcast cable instead of renting a modem, would buy another one if needed.

I didn't face even a single issue, while setting up my device and replacing my Comcast modem with Dlink, Just called Comcast and requested them to authorize my new Dlink modem Mac address to recieve signals. Saving 5$ a month now onwards :-)

This cable modem stopped working in just 7 monthes. I bought it in February, 2010. It gave me lots of trouble starting in July- I kept having to unplug it, wait 10 or more seconds, and plug it back in to get it to function. Then in August it stopped working altogether. I replaced it with a Motorola Surfboard cable modem, and now I am good to go. I should've spent the extra $20 for the Motorola in the first place.

I was looking for a cable modem to work with my Comcast account.The product reached me on time (before Comcast pulled the plug on my previous modem that had reached end-of-life) with pretty good packaging.Product installation was straight forward. Wired the modem using the documentation provided, called up Comcast to register my new MAC address (listed on the modem) and I was up and running. Its been running for nearly a month now with no resets and has been good so far.

I bought this modem in 2005 when I moved into my first apartment since it would pay for itself in less than a year compared to a modem rental. Five years later of constant use and it is still going strong. I have used this on Comcast, Armstrong, Adelphia (now Comcast), and a few smaller companies that have now been bought by the bigger guys.The only problem I had was because the cable company set things up wrong in the beginning and D-Link support was excellent in helping me figure it out. I have bought this same modem for my sister and my parents. It has done them well also. Buy this modem, you won't regret it.

By now, I think I am done with D-link products. I have owned both D-link Router and Cable Modem, but both of them stopped working after one year.(right after the warranty expired) Within the 1st year, it works ok, just need to reset it few times occasionally. But after a year, my internet connection started to keep dropping. Sometimes, it could be like disconnect every 30 mins. I had tried to fix it by upgrade the firmware on it, but no luck. I think the hardware just broke down after a year. Now I am getting the Motorola cable modem as a replacement, will see how this one work out. But I will recommend to stay away from this Cable Modem. It may be a bit cheaper than the MOtorola one, but you should expect it to break down after a year.

I got this in December. After a couple of months it had to be reset 1-3 times a day to get the internet back up. My cable service specs were excellent. I got a Motorola SB 6120 and immediately no problems now. Internet stays up 24/7. I would avoid this product.

I got this to replace a surfboard 4200 that constantly drops connection during high data transmission, I work from home using a VPN connection, virtual desktop and avaya softphone and my internet connection was dropping after about an hour's work. I did a little research and found out the surfboard I had tends to lockup during continuous high upload activity and that just won't do, this is my livelihood. Changing over was simple, I called the cable company, gave them the new mac address and plugged it in. Now I have been able work and haven't dropped connection once in 2 months. I definately recommend this, it's a big plus and supports DOCSIS 3 for when I decide to upgrade my connection speeds.
