Poor wifi range
Not worth for the money

Prolonged use of the 5gz band drops the wifi connection, forcing the router to reboot aslo if I push the 5gz band too much it again looses connection, what's the point of a dual band router if only the 2.4 gz connection is stable

Wifi range is excellent, speed is also very good. Dlink app is not that user friendly.
Sometimes devices gets disconnected or some device gets internet access while other dont.

Speed is good.
Both band can be used with single password or we can separate band also.

It has four antenna but range is not that good and quite similar to single band 2.4 gh two antenna routers.

Very good WIFI 6 router.I have 100Mps plan and on 2.4Hz itself,I'm getting pull speed and WIFI range is very good from ground to 2floors.Auto router firmware updates and good app are added features.

It Disconnects the devices frequently, maybe they will fix via firmware upgrade...

very poor range

I bought this to be able to up the speed of my wireless network adapter from 50 Mbps to 100 Mbps and this did the trick along with a new router. All you need to use this and to be able to get its full speed is a USB3 port on your desktop or notebook. With a USB2 port all I was able to get was 65 Mbps. Just make sure that you disable your build in network adapter first before plugging this in. But all you have to do is load the driver for it and and plug this into a USB3 port and then the software opens up and you can select your network that you want to attach to. Was a snap to use. And you can take it anywhere.

very good wi-fi usb very good signal, easy to install the driver from harware version from Dlink web site, is working with windows 10, the wireless internet is working great but of course is depending of router quality, the router must have a strong processor too.

I had a mediatech, I believe wireless adapter with N (150Mbps). This adapter is much, much faster. I am able to bring down my full internet capacity from my ISP 50Mbps, where before I was luck to get maybe 12-15 Mbps down. I noticed that my old adapter showed a connected speed of 72 Mbps while this one shows as 300Mbps. I have it set the 5Ghz band that that seems to be performing very well. Also, I am using Windows 8 Pro and it has not had any driver/etc issues.

Item works great, but I dinged two stars because the software is NOT required to run this device, and in my case caused problems. The instructions say to insert the CD before connecting the device, which I did, but the software kept causing my computer to hang, and the network connection would not always work. I uninstalled the program and the device, put the device back into the computer, and installed the driver from the CD using device manager. Has worked perfectly ever since, cannot complain about the hardware.

This was a replacement for an similar unit I got about 2 years ago. Both the older one and this one work very well. My office is not wired for a direct connection for my desktop so I have to rely on the WIFI. My tech guru said these only last for 2-3 years so replacement was to be expected. Shipping was fast. Installation took about 5 minutes.

The 802.11ac wireless USB adapter works fine on Windows 8.1 64-bit. I visited D-Link's support site, looked up the model (DWA-182) and found the latest driver and downloaded it. I installed it in Windows and plugged in the adapter and it was instantly recognized and setup. All I had to do was pick my wireless network and setup the WiFi security, and it got online right away. The speeds are much better than the old 802.11n adapter I was using when used in combination with a D-Link DIR-868L 802.11ac router.

I was running D-Link 802.11n wireless adapter and router - it worked great until I was forced to move into an apartment. With a greater distance, a thicker all, and a crowded signal airspace, I was having a lot of trouble maintaining a wireless connection. Enter the Wireless AC system. The bars on my display didn't go up - I still had 3 out of 5, but my connection speed sure did! Suddenly I was downloading at my normal speeds - around a megabyte a second (not fantastic, but a damn sight better than I've done in the past). It's been reliable and easy to use ever since! Of course, I'm not using any of the really fancy features, but for a home router, it's fantastic.

Worked for about 8 months. Then I started getting sporadic disconnects. Now about a month after the issues began it's basically unusable. Reinstalled drivers and tried it on another Computer. Same poor results.

I never really write reviews, but I thought I would for this product. I've had a considerable amount of trouble with USB wireless adapters in the past and was dreading purchasing a new one because these things never work out. Also, due to the location of my desktop and size of my home, these things never seem to get proper signal. But all that changed when I reluctantly got this USB Wi-Fi adapter.

I use it every day for a few hours to play all sorts of games and browse the web. It gets way better signal than any other stick I've used and I have had zero trouble. To all the other negative reviews, they must not have installed the drivers properly or just have a poor computer in genreal. Just built a brand new desktop and paired it with this since my Motherboard didnt have space for an internal wifi adapter and I could not be happier

Would have been nice to get all the contents that were supposed to come with it. Can’t use it if there’s no quick install guide or cd rom to install. I waited 5-6 days now, I’ve got to wait more time for a replacement. Fingers crossed it comes NEW as stated and COMPLETE as a set.

I had an Asus-RT58U.. I bought this as an upgrade.. Really disappointed. No options than the real basics.. You can't even ssh into the router, no options for that. Broadcom chip, so no openwrt also.
Connection was not stable either. So now I have delegated it to a slave router

Wifi rang is too low

Never buy this router. My router gave problem like freezing and hanging. After that 2.4ghz range is very very less than 5ghz like 2 meter only. Only 1 month old and is in Delhi service center.

Ein sehr guter Accesspoint, der genau das tut, was er soll. Durch das Beamformiing (richtungsabhängige Leistungsschaltung) kommt mehr Power rüber, als bei vergleichbaren Alternativanbietern. Auch die Vorgänger von D-Link können da nicht mithalten.

Über das Web-Interface kann man viele schöne Spielereien einstellen.

Einziger Kritikpunkt: Im Auslieferungszustand hat der AP eine eigene IP-Adresse und DHCP ist deaktiviert. Zur Aktivierung muss man erst z.b. mit dem PC oder Mac in das IP-Netz wechseln und DHCP aktivieren. Anschließend kann man dann über den Router dem AP auch eine feste IP zuweisen und über das Webif konfigurieren.

Der Normalnutzer könnte damit überfordert sein... Daher einen Stern Abzug
