Best speakers for the price. Accurate sound, surprising base response for such a small speaker, and loud without distortion. I would recommend these for anyone wanting to upgrade from their integrated-in-the-CPU speaker(s). These are a whole lot better.

Up front,I have hearing problems-(allergies).I was using 3 sets of speakers on my computer.-1 set bass (name brand expensive)2 sets semi treble inexpensive.I would play musical chairs with their volume controls (they had no other adjustments) usually with no satisfied results.Since i installed the T20 series II speakers i think i have made 1 or 2 adjustments of the bass/treble available adjustments.I like my music the way music should sound & when i am receiving audio/voice I want it crisp.THESE SPEAKERS DO BOTH & A LOT MORE.Bottom line Price-good,Shipping Time Good-Quality of Product AWESOME.

These speakers, which I picked up refurbished here for fifty bucks, are the best speakers I've ever used. They've got their strange problems, if you turn up solely the sound from your computer without adjusting the sound on your speakers you'll get very upsetting feedback. Their sound quality however is just what I wanted, a pair of speakers without the overbearing bass. Don't get me wrong though, they aren't tiny, and have very clear bass and treble. It's just most speaker systems I've heard (a.k.a. the 2.1 systems) have so much bass it makes for muddy sounding everything. I've very happily watched movies, played games and listened to music with these all of which they've been wonderful for.Likewise, a big reason why I bought these are because I live next to people. I believe people are to inconsiderate of others when they consider their speaker systems. Currently I'm at my mother's house, and from 11-11 I hear tons of bass spilling through the walls of the neighbor's house, it's horrendous. I don't want to pull a similar injustice back at my place, so that's why I chose these guys. In fact, it's especially important as I live above a bakery.

I have the original T20 on my computer, brought this for my new flat screen TV, because I really can't stand the crappy sound made by TV speakers... This add a lot of richness to the sound coming out of the TV.If you are not a die hard Hi-Fi fan with 1000+w speaker systems, this speaker is the perfect choice for computer or a HDTV.Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

What a disappointment. After some diligent shopping for a PC speakers under $100, I settled on the Creative Labs Gigaworks T20 from amazon.com. Setup was no problem, and I got it to play within 15 minutes. I was mindful of the fact that speakers have to be broken in, so I was not too critical of the sound. They sounded like I would call "middle fi," not hi-fi. But that's OK, for $100 I was not expecting hi-fi. The problem was, after about 8 hours of use, I decided to plug in my good quality Sony phones, and they sounded ok too. But here comes the big surprise. When I removed the earphones, the speaker no longer worked without the phones. On top of that when I plugged in the phones again, only the left side was working with the plug all the way in, and only the right side was working with the plug half-way in. And the speakers themselves were totally dead. Conclusion: the thing is shoddily made, so that inserting the earphones damaged the internal interface between speaker output and line output, so that neither worked anymore. I had to return it, just over 24 hours after I received. The big bummer is that apparently I will get only 85% of my original cost. I swear I will never buy electronics from amazon again. I will restrict myself to books from now on. The only bright note is that getting a return authorization was fairly straightforward, and I am returning it tomorrow via UPS, shipping prepaid.

Just tried these out and for the price a very nice speaker set. Sound projects nicely and can fill a small room. No subwoofer but the bass on these is impressive for their size. Under $100? I'd do it again. I'm not about Creative Labs. I've never owned anything by them. We'll see how they hold up. Other reviews liked these so I gave them a shot.

These are very good speakers. Although I am neither mechanically informed nor sound expert, I was impressed with the quality, both the sound and product.

The T20 speakers pumped-up my Sennheiser HD555 .. That discovery alone is the result of 5 Star rating ..

First, I am an audiophile, I have high end audio system and headphones, so I used to excellent sound, and THESE SPEAKERS DELIVERS. For 100$ these are incredible. The bass is formidable without any subwoofer. the treble are very good and medium are well done too. I am amazed how good the quality is. I haven`t heard the T40 II but if they add more medium to the T20II They must also be incredible. I strongly recommend the gigaworks T20 II speakers.

These speakers have great clarity of sound. I do not hear any non-music noise. Enough volume to irritate your neighbors if you are careless. I think you would only need something better if you are the kind who is into all the nurdiest tech specs. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase.

Not the loudest, not the most bass, not the coolest, but simply the BEST computer speakers I have ever heard! For the Audiophiles in the house... These have the best Channel Separation, the best Imaging, and the lowest Noise Floor of any desktop speakers I have ever heard! I use them at work for my iPhone, and they sound AMAZING! These have better "imaging" (instrument placement) than some "high-end" home systems I have heard! Sometimes it is spooky!!! I convinced the guy at my local retail chain to do a Bose "no-no" and let me hook my own music into the Bose computer speaker display so I could "A-B" the Bose Companion 2 speakers with these... These blew them away in EVERY aspect! Don't expect room shaking bass obviously, but if you care more about sound QUALITY than bass QUANTITY, I highly recommend these!

I bought 2 of these, one for my Samsung T240 HD LCD TV Monitor and one for my Acer 8930 Laptop. These speakers were a tremendous upgrade in sound on both devices. Set up was simple. After connecting the power adapter and placing the left speaker plug into the right speaker, I just connected the audio cable from AUX IN on the right speaker to the headphone connection on the side of my Samsung TV. On my Acer, I connected the audio cable to my Realtek High Definition Audio Sound Card instead of my Creative Extreme Audio Notebook ExpressCard because I was getting to much bass when I was listening to Mike on WFAN Sports Radio in NYC. It takes a little time for these speakers to break in so be patient. Music is a pleasure to listen to with the speakers plugged into my Realtek High Definition Audio Sound Card. These speakers provide more than enough bass so I turned off the natural bass boost on my Realtek sound card. Although the Creative ExpressCard provides good music experience, I prefer the RealTek HD Audio because it provides a "living room" setting and a "vocal" setting for the equalizer. In contrast to the Creative ExpressCard, these speakers provide an all around great listening experience for Internet Radio and my classic rock music

The quality of the sound of this system is excellent and meet my requeriments not only for listening music fron portable computer but fron portable music devices. I recomend this speaker system.

I bought these for a bedroom system- plugging in the ipod nano. They seemed small when they came out of the box which initally concerned me. I'm thinking- at this size how are these going to sound great? And what's up with this BasXPort technology? Sounds kind of gimmicky. Well you just have to hear them to believe it. They somehow achieve real bass presence from a 3" woofer! Take off the grill and these little woofers are traveling up to 1/2" in some passages. The tweeter does a fantastic job of creating pleasing midrange and highs. Tried them out on "Come Together" from Abbey Road (2009 remastered) and they were very adept at handling the bass and drums. When the distorted guitars came in at the chorus the tweeters brought out a nice crunch that was truly pleasing. I'm picky about speakers and I've returned more pairs over the years than I've kept. These are definitely keepers.

I bought this pair less than 10 months ago and about 2 months ago a loud hissing, sound started happening occasionally. No matter what I did I could not faithfully reproduce this hissing, loud crackling sound. I'm assuming there's a short. I emailed customer service and explained that this problem is intermittent and although the issue went away for one week it has been an issue that I could not reproduce faithfully. To make matters worse, the serial# I read from the sticker on the bottom of one of the speakers was not a valid serial# according to them. This is my last Creative product I will ever buy...

OK sounding speakers for the money. Unfortunately, within six months, both audio input connectors failed (one was broken out of the box, but I just used the other one until failed).Thought this should be an easy warranty repair issue. Wrong. The only way to initiate warranty repair is through their online form, which is completely non-functional (I also tried it with a pair of Creative headphones I also own) and unusable. Creative has no direct phone or email contact on its website or in the manual for the speakers. This is a virtual company scam with no customer support. Buyer beware.

I hooked this speakers system to my dell Studio 17 Laptop with out a hitch. these speakers are great. And the price was good too.

These speakers sounded great. I was very happy with my purchase. Unfortunately they turned out to be shoddy made garbage and they broke after about a month. Judging from other reviews I'm not the only one this has happened to. I wrote this review to warn people that dont want to throw there hard earned cash into the toilet.

I bought this product to be used on my desk at work - using a Creative Zen MP3 player. I didnt need it to get too loud or too "bassy". I just wanted good sound quality. They did not dissapoint. They are weightly and solid feeling. The controls are on the front. I dont think you can get a better pair of 2.0 speakers for the price.

I have done extensive research on numerous computer speakers, everything from the simple 2.0 to 5.1 surround sound configurations for the past 6 months. I ended buying these Gigaworks Series II 2.0 speakers. Why? Because I couldn't have spent my $100 on anything else better.Delicated tweeters for your high notes, midrange drivers for your mids, and the BasXport on top of the speakers for them lows, and all in a small 2.0 system! A lot of speakers do not allow the user to adjust their treble and bass, these do. Not a bass person? Dial it down to 0 and turn up the treble, or max out on both and anything in between. That's what the dials are there for, because not everyone is content with preset one-off factory settings.There are users who complaint about the bright blue light glaring at them when it is on, I don't think it is that bad unless you are sleeping with them on. Some users also said that the speakers don't do too well at high volumes, as in the sound start to become unclear/muffled. I say it is true somewhat, just try not to turn it up past 75% and you should be good. Even at that level it is loud enough to be heard in my entire house, you're not running a nightclub in your house afterall.

I wanted 2.0 speakers for travel. I am dissappointed with the sound quality and volume. I do not know if it is possible to make a speaker with better sound in a compact case. Perhaps they would sound better with a larger speaker in a square case with less depth.I would not buy these for home use. I have heard the "Logitech Z-2300 THX-Certified 200-Watt 2.1 Speaker System" which would be excellent for home use.

Just got these today and I'm totally amazed. These things have awesome dynamic range and the bass is very crisp and clear. I listen to a lot of 'hard to reproduce accurately' classical music and these speakers did a great job of reproducing the sound quality. I could hear things I just haven't been able to hear on most other speakers.My gold standards to test with are Ariel Ramirez's Misa Criolla and Chorovaya Akademia's Ancient Echo's for starters and they came through very nicely.Highly recommended.

Creative Labs GigaWorks T20 Series II 2.0 Multimedia Speaker System with BasXPort TechnologyI purchased these speakers for my wife so she could listen to and watch a portable DVD player in the kitchen while she prepares food (the built in speakers on the DVD player were tinny and no depth of sound). I just received the Creative 2.0 speakers this morning from FedEX and we were both blown away with the sound quality of the speakers. They have a nice response through the entire frequency spectrum and they do have punch and plenty of volume with no noticeable distortion for this setup. I encountered a little problem initially when I hooked the cable coming from the ear phone jack on the DVD player to the Audio Input in the back of the speaker and got terrible humming distortion. Then I read the instructions and moved the plug to the correct location, the Aux Input on the front of the speakers and it works perfectly. The Audio Input in the back is for an analog input source. I highly recommend these speakers for using with any portable device such as DVD player, iPod, laptop, etc. They are not battery powered so you need to have an outlet nearby.

I researched these online as speakers for my desktop and an analog turtable that I use to digitize vinyl. They are great. They fill the room with sound at 2/3 max volume with no distortion. I also chose them because they have separate base and treble controls.

Best small computer speaker in the market hands down.I purchased this on Feb 8th in Best Buy in Iselin N.J. with my new H.P.! These babes really shine WHEN properly Equalized with Windows Player E.Q.! My second option was Klipsh 2.1 w/extra bass, but I really preferred these two speakers. Very well made Glossy Black!

I bought these for use with a desktop MacPro; I occasionally use them for music, sometimes for spoken word, usually just for "system sounds". They have functioned very well in that role. I have not "stressed" them by attempting to play loud or intricate music/sounds, so cannot comment on their upper limit of fidelity.

These speakers were the best alternative to improve the lousy sound on our 22" Samsung LCD flat screen TV set. My alternative consideration was Bose Companion bookshelf speakers, which were less expensive, but didn't have an ON/OFF switch and it would have been very inconvenient to unplug the Bose speakers when I wanted them turned off.It was extremely easy to connect the Creative speakers to the TV, just plug the cord that was provided with the speakers into the TV's earphone jack, and the sound was excellent.

I searched all over the web for speakers for my netbook. I wanted a real stereo sound. After about three weeks of searching and comparing reviews I purchased my set of T20's from amazon.com for the incredible price of $80.00. Set up was super simple around 10 min from opening the box to set up. Went to my favorite music sight, set up the volume and base how I enjoy it, and WOW...crystal clear music, great highs and outstanding base. The music filled my whole condo which I was impressed with. In my oponion Creative Gigaworks puts out exactly what they say, Outstanding speakers at a very good price. I'm more than sure this wont be my last purchase from them.

Pleasantly surprised by these speakers. After reading so many positive reviews I can say I am most definitely not disappointed. Very powerful speakers for the price and the size, and the sound in fact gets better the more you crank up the volume. Exactly how it always should be!I do have a gripe - connecting my headphones into these 2.0 speakers results in a surprisingly noticeable drop in audio quality and definition. I cannot blame the headphones though, since the audio quality plugging the same set in was fantastic using my old - and awesome - Creative 2.1 system.In any case, these speakers majorly kick butt. From Michael Jackson to Metallica, these puppies hit the high and low spots beautifully, even without the subwoofer. I tried these against the Bose Companion 2 Series II and can say confidently - go for these instead.

It seems that I've read a lot about this product and a lot of the problems seemed to be regarding a cracking sound. The sound quality is great for a sub-less 2.0, however after purchasing one then getting a replacement, the cracking sound persists. After playing a few types of music, the cracking sound seems to persist at the 11 o'clock position at about 40% volume with mostly rock and techno music. If you are primarily a rock/techno listener, please beware!

I am honestly surprised Creative Labs doesn't seem to be making 7.1 speaker sets anymore (unless I missed something?). That being said- this speaker set is one of the best things they have ever done. With Blu Ray drives being available for computers- and many titles supporting 7.1 audio- I am really surprised nobody has taken up the slack.If you are into movies or video games- these are some of the best speakers to buy- hands down. FPS titles especially- it makes a world of difference to know exactly where someone/something is coming at you based on sound alone.

These speakers stopped working after four months -- sound just stopped coming out of them. Clearly under the warranty period, I contacted Creative and received no response.

These speakers are an excellent value. I was going to get the BOSE 2.0 computer speakers but opted for these and am very glad I did. They sound just as good (if not better) than the BOSE and are louder. Overall an excellet pair of speakers at a reasonable price.

Replaced my Bose Companion set with this (main subwoofer unit died) and chose it mostly for the price point. Decent sound but definitely not on par with the Bose in terms of quality. Good value for the price.

The speakers look nice. They sound better than the freebies that came with my system but the sound quality will not be enough for a discerning ear. I'd be happy with these speakers at $50.

I bought these for my brother to use with his new Sharp Aquos lcd tv as it (the tv) is a fantastic tv but does not have a headphone plug-in. These speakers plug directly into the tv's audio out then plug your headphone into the speakers. They were easy to set-up, sound great, and solved his problem. I am now ordering second set for my pc to listen to my music library while surfing the net.

Upon receiving this item it was defective. One speaker sounded as though it were blown. I returned the item after waiting a week for delivery, it was highly disappointing.

As a bonus, I can play my iPod music thru the speakers directly and bring it outside or where ever and enjoy the music with great sound. They have great base and great quality sound even at the loader end of the spectrum.

I was looking to replace my aging Logitech PC Speakers, so I tried these, they have tons of Bass, the the clear tones sound very Tinny. The Bass overpowers the Trebile. Cool Style, but sound is the deal breaker on any speakers.

This system replaced a Klipsch ProMedia 5.1 (original/not Ultra) system. The Klipsch system died (for the second time), and I used the warranty money to purchase this Creative system.I actually only wanted a 5.1 system, but could not find a product I liked more (summer of 2006). I considered the Logitech Z-5500 THX-Certified 505-Watt 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Speaker System (I think), but I liked how the Creatives had separate tweeter and mid-range drivers (though I don't know enough to know if that makes a big difference). I also didn't like how the Logitechs looked, but I think the Creatives are pretty uninspired there, too.Everything, including the stands, is made out of plastic, but in some cases it feels really good, like how the grills slide out of place.The remote/control pod is boring. I miss the analog-ish knob of the Klipsh remote: the Creative remote makes you mash the buttons for quick changes in volume. The volume-level indicator is also in discrete increments, but depending on the volume being adjusted (main, center, side, sub, treble), each LED level indicator might have several levels with in it, which are not shown. (That is, the indicator light might take a dozen presses to add a new light, even though the volume is increasing with each press.)The upmix feature was a nice surprise, though, so I could get sound out of all the speakers with only a 5.1 sound card. I have no idea how well the propriety "M-Port" works.A total negative: The multi-channel that came with the system was only a 3-4 and not a 4-4, so one end didn't have the gray plug. wtf is that, Creative?It would also be nice if the system had a battery to save my volume settings (from the control pod) so I could flip the switch on my surge suppressor without losing them.One of the dust caps on a tweeter in a satellite came with a dent in it. I spoke with a customer service person and they said it would not affect the sound and so I did not push for a replacement.In retrospect, I probably would've purchased the Logitech system instead. I think it's volume knob, song-display, and wireless rear satellites win me over.

THE REVIEWER: I am a composer, live sound reinforcement engineer and own my own recording studio in the Dallas area. I am a huge fan of high-end audio, and in particular, surround sound! When it came time to build my new PC, I opted for the newest Creative Audigy 2ZS sound card...which more than met all of my needs for gaming and *most* of my MIDI and less demanding digital audio work. Now, first, I must say that the Gigaworks line-up is astounding on its own; however, add to any Gigaworks arrangement the Audigy2 line of audio cards, and there can be no other combination for your PC! I admit to being a long-time user and fan of Creative products, and I make no apologies for that. From my very first SB16, through the very impressive Platinum version of SB Live! card, each product has lived up to--and even exceeded--my expectations.My original purchase was the 7.1 Megaworks setup by Creative. I can honestly say, it was a good sound, but not good enough for MY ears. The midrange was weak and definitely lacking. The distortion in the low-end was evident on truly powerful 7.1 selections, and the system had numerous resonant frequency issues , which resulted in buzzes and rattles that unnerved me! Needless to say, it WENT BACK! FAST! I audtitioned several systems this time, rather than just going by brand name and features.As with most, the Logitechs were appealing, but simply did NOT have what it took in the end. Additionaly, I configured my best friends' 5.1 Logitech setup, and I HATED it from the start. Balancing the satellites and sub with the center channel was virtually impossible. Every signal fed to it reguired tweaking of some kind. Thus, I knew the Logitech offerings were OUT!Back to Creative. (And yes, I looked at everything else from BA's on, and nothing else had the feature-set or raw power handling capacity of the Gigaworks setup!) Okay, the Megaworks was less than mind-blowing...even to the point of being disappointing...but NOT Gigaworks!!! WoW. That is it in a nutshell. I cannot seem to shake this system loose. No matter how hard I press it, this system hangs with my Polks, Klipsch and even Infinity Kappa speakers.I have a set of studio reference Tannoy NFMs (bi-amplified by Carver) that I use in my studio for mix-down, and I admit, the Creative Gigaworks are more natural and comfortable to listen to for long periods. Would I mix-down my beloved work on them...NO...but then, what professional would? That is not what Creative intended them to be used for--although some might argue they could be.BOTTOM LINE: The looks aren't as impressive as some of the Logitech offerings, but if this is what you are after, then you aren't likely to care about any of these reviews anyway! The sound is fantastic, so they can look plain for all I care.NOTES: Bass response is very impressive--although place the sub away from a corner and face the port at an angle away from any parallel walls to avoid TREMENDOUS standing waves and unnecessary (and unnatural) peaks (boominess). Most audiophiles will find it necessary to attenuate the sub output (very easily done even by remote), and most club-kids will find the bass response PERFECT no doubt! The high-end is magical for a component system in this price-range. Frequency roll-off is natural, and though the satellites all have the exact same driver configuration, the high-end is not overly bright or tinny. The system is not all frequency-match and perfectly paired like many high-end system, though this is not necessary. Each satellite diligently and faithfully recreates whatever signal is fed to it. The system sits idly with NO audible hiss. In standby, the the system emits no heat, but at full-tilt, the amplifier (housed within the sub) can put off quite a bit of heat! The system does not degrade noticebly even after hours of hard use. Color-coded wiring make installation a breeze for novices, but I really wish this system was wireless (at least between the sub and satellites) but we can all have a wish-list, right?! Anyway, the wiring is probably the messiest and ugliest part of the entire setup--though not as bad as some I have seen, including my buddy's Logitechs. If you want to wall-mount the satellites, the wires aren't likely to be long enough. The center channel can easily go above or below your picture...as the software provides perfect THX phase alignment and timing adjustments. The system SHOULD come with stands for sides and rears...but again...we can WISH! (They are available from Creative's website, though not exactly cheap!)All-in-all, if you need 5.1 or 7.1 surround, and you have a VERY high-end audio card...the Gigaworks system is the only REAL solution for you. Check one out at your local retailer...or listen to your friend's, but either way, listen soon...you'll be glad you did.The money was well spent. Would do it again...and most of us have at least one major purchase we regret...so enough said. Hope you find

The sound performance out of this system is pretty good. Like you'd expect, there are no mids but the subwoofer is excellent and the system runs relatively efficently. Excellent for PC use when matched with an appropriate sound card.However, there is a cronic problem with this system. The internal components have no air flow what so ever and the system will blow varistors and mosfets, which is cheap to repair if you're an electrician but Creative will charge in excess of $300 to do so. This affects ALL systems. Don't take my word on it, google the problem for yourself.Thus, I cannot recommend these speakers to anyone.

The performance of this product is great compare to others speaker systems. A good sound card + this system = mom's pain. There wasn't problems to my to install it, the product was delivered in good conditions.

Ok, the wires are too short to place all the way around a room, even a bedroom. The control unit is not perfect either, I'd prefer a volume dial instead of buttons for starters. That's about the extent of the flaws. Buy this system for the sound. The base is very powerful as well as the sound from the satellites. Detail in the satellites and the sub are fantastic. These speakers will perform as well as many stereo systems costing several times as much. I know, I have a $4,000 stereo in the living room and can barely tell the difference.

I order online from there company. They send me broken box. I want to return but they say if you return they will charge you for the money.I pay for 500 dollars for this? then i go home i use that speaker .the website say it can connect to muvo mp3 player. I try but it not work.They send me problem speaker!!!
