- + Хороший звук, но карта полное Г...
- - Хрипит, и этим уже достала. Особенно при работе с интернетом. Как только комп поднапрягся - сайт пошел грузиться или игрушка - всё, звук срывается в хрипение.
Надо же было повестись на отзывы вот таких советчиков - звук обалденный и т. д. ПОСМОТРИТЕ в Яндексе по Запросу: creative audigy se хрипит звук. Вы там найдете много статей, форумов где народ уже не знает что сделать с этим хрипом. Совет - попробовать карточку подороже, но в проверенном магазине, погонять ее очень основательно - не по громкости на все перепонки, а именно с другими запущеными приложениями, прогами, и особенно - активным инетом - чтобы и аська, и в браузере штук 5 окон открыто, и еще что-нибудь качается с инета даунлоадером... - если тоже захрипит - несите обратно.

Плохо
- + Дешевая, простая в использовании, хорошие звуковые качества, плюс наличие модифицированных дров (поройтесь в сети) которые неплохо разгоняют карту.
- - Старая модель, давно снятая с производства, так что дров на оф. сайте вообще нет. С оф. дровами скачаннными из архива были проблемы - неправильно работал саб с колонками...

- + Приобрёл звуковую карту Creative Audigy (599 рублей). Выходы - только миниджеки (4 шт.) для 7.1 аналогового подключения к усилетилю. Начал думать как подключить к ресиверу по цифре - коаксиалу или оптике, обыскался в интернете и нигде не смог найти ответа.
Методом тыка пришёл к тому, что карта Creative как и куча своих собратьев (Live, Audigy, X-Fi Audio) без коаксиальных и цифровых входов может выдавать звук в цифровом формате на миниджек. В моём случае это до 24 bit и 96 Khz - параметр устанавливается в меню Device Control.
Какой же нужен миниджек - моно джек 3.5 с двумя контактами - с другой стороны тюльпан-мама для подсоединения коаксиального провода да ресивера. В моём случае это Yamaha HTR-6030 (RX-V361).
Ставим в меню Specker Settings галочку напротив Digital Output Only. Звук перестаёт звучать из многоканального выхода и идёт на коаксиальный провод. Ресивер определяет его как PCM 96 Khz. Можно поставить и 48 разницы нет в звучани...

- + На акустике за 8 тысяч разница со встроенной картой очень и очень ощутимая. Для такого качества смешная цена. Никаких проблем в эксплуатации за пол года не заметил.
- - Если в звуковушке выставить на максимум "громкую" композицию или фильм, то даже на тихом уровне громкости в акустике звук будет дребезжать. Так что не советую на компе звук устанавливать на максимум.
Вменяемая карта за смешные деньги. Для фильмов и игр в небольших количествах вполне сойдет.

- + Думаю что к достоинствам можно причислить её дизайн из чёрного текстолита,басы стали намного глубже и чище по сравнению со встроенной картой HD.
- - Басс Бустер от креатива можно включить на системах равных 2.1 или...

- + *Звук! Очень ощутимая разница по сравнению со встроенной карточкой. Детализация звука - это просто другая планета. Передумал выбрасывать свои колонки ))) Даже саб заиграл динамичнее! Как здесь уже замечали, появляется разница в слышимости битрейта MP3. То есть 128, 160, 192, 220 - разница ощущается между каждым из них, 320 - звучит просто супер!...

- - Отсутствие удлинительных кабелей.
Хотелось бы Front Panel для карты, но это уже другая цена. Неудобно просто подключать сзади.
Сначала разочаровался. Для меня разницы звука не было! Я не аудиофил, мне просто...

У меня ресивер и колонки фирмы Yamaha, хочу подсоединить к компу. Подключать такую технику через миниджек к встрoенной аудиокарте, на мой взгляд не разумно. Начал искать варианты (нормальную карточку с коаксиалом) и случайно наткнулся на этот экспонат. В описании написано:

I have a Dell Dimension E510 that I'm preparing to upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit. I had a SB X-Fi Audio Processor (WMD) installed by Dell when I first bought my PC, but Microsoft's upgrade advisor had no compatibility information for this card. Microsoft's compatibility center also did not list this card as compatible with Windows 7.So, after a little research, I found the Audigy SE, which the compatibility center says is compatible (with a driver download from Creative's web site.) The upgrade advisor also flags this card as compatible, but it states that you may have to download a newer version of the driver from Creative.Anyway, swapping out my existing SB X-Fi with the Audigy SE was a breeze. The trick is to uninstall the old card's drivers and software CORRECTLY and then install the new drivers and software CORRECTLY. Creative has an excellent article in their knowledge base for doing this on XP and Vista. This involves doing a CLEAN BOOT first before you uninstall anything. Basically the steps for XP go something like this.1. Use msconfig to set up a clean boot and then restart. Microsoft has an article in their knowledge base about how to use msconfig for this.2. Use Add/Remove in the control panel to remove ALL software and drivers associated with the old card. Do NOT perform a restart.3. Find the old card in the device manager and perform an uninstall if it's there. I didn't have to do this since the Add/Remove got rid of everything.4. Reboot the PC (still a clean boot) and exit out of any driver installation.5. Insert the Vista/XP CD that comes with the Audigy SE and exit the installer when it autoruns.6. For XP run Z:\XP\Audio\Drivers\Setup.exe (Z: is your CD-ROM drive).7. Select Driver Uninstallation, WDM Drivers, and check Delete all shared Creative audio driver files. Do NOT perform a restart.8. Remove all files/folders in C:\temp and C:\windows\temp. Empty the recycle bin. Remove the CD.9. Shut down the computer.10. Remove the X-Fi card and install the Audigy SE card. Easy. Note that the SB cards have a proprietary connector that enables the mic and headphone jacks on the front of the E510 to work. So I connected it.11. Restart the computer (still a clean boot).12. Download the latest installation package from Creative's website. It includes the driver and a few small applications for configuring the Audigy SE. You may want to do this before you start this process.13. Run the executable. Do NOT restart.14. Use msconfig again and restore the boot to normal startup. Then restart.I then made a few changes using Creative's EAX Settings and Speaker Settings applications to enable EAX effects and 3D sound. That was all I had to do. It may seem like a lot, but the steps are very straightforward and if you follow them carefully you will enjoy success. Note that I did NOT install ANYTHING from the CD that came with the Audigy SE. The CD is dated 2006 and Creative's downloads are dated after 2006 so they're newer.The only speaker I have is Dell's speaker bar that attaches to the bottom of my Dell monitor. But the sound that comes out of it with the Audigy SE is just amazing. It's wonderful. I launched iTunes and picked a few of my favorite songs from the iTunes store and I played their clips. Absolutely perfect sound; clear and crisp. I tested the headphone jack on the front of my computer and it worked perfectly. I could not be happier with the Audigy SE. It has been a truly wonderful upgrade. And you can't beat the price at just $30.Update: Installed Windows 7 32-bit successfully. Windows automatically detected the card, downloaded the latest drivers and software and installed everything for me. I didn't have to do anything. The software includes the Creative Audio Control Panel, which lets you configure the Audigy SE's settings. The sound from my little speaker bar is just incredible, even better than what I heard when I had XP installed. Definitely a worthwhile purchase. Absolutely great little PCI sound card.

After reading reviews, I bought this POC specifically because it was "designed to support Windows 7, 64 bit". It even says so on the box. Once you OPEN the box, however, the enclosed software only supports Windows Vista, XP, and XP Pro. Attempts to download usable software from Creative Labs website were futile--this product, though still sold as current, is apparently an orphan.Installing the actual hardware was a snap. However, no combination of websites, the install disc, or forum "tweaks" resulted in my computer recognizing a driver for the card. Attempts to update the driver manually, from either a web driver or Creative's install disc were futile. I attempted to contact Creative Labs--there is no phone support. I received an e-mail saying someone would get back to me in a day or two. From perusing Creative's forum and other reviews, I'm not holding my breath that will ever happen.Five hours later, the sound card has now been repacked in its original shipping materials and will be returned forthwith. I'm a pretty experienced computer user, and have never had this sort of "under the hood" issues with other hardware installations. Huge disappointment.PS I just received an e-mail from Creative Labs, instructing me to do what I had already done by way of troubleshooting. Outstanding product support. Not.

I needed analog surround sound output, and my motherboard only had S/PDIF out. So, I picked this card up because is a cheap Creative card.Overall, it works pretty well. I did have an odd time installing it, and at first I thought it wasn't working as it was only making noise on my speakers. Once I rebooted the PC after the installer rebooted it once, it started working fine. I've used this card on Windows 7 and Windows 8, and I had just about the same experience both times.I wish it could actually get the all-channel stereo working properly. Its supposed to work, and I can see the settings in the drivers, but those just don't do anything. Supposedly they are working on fixing this issue, but I've been waiting for almost a year now and it still doesn't do that.Anything already mixed for surround sound works flawlessly though. Not the best sound card in the world, but its got analog surround out and its cheap. Good enough for a gaming PC, but I would probably grab something better for a home theater (assuming you need something other than S/PDIF out)

I'm not typically one to write reviews, especially based on first impressions (I've only had this card for a few hours), but I was on the verge of sending this card back, so hopefully this will help someone else out.I was completely satisfied with my onboard soundcard( a Realtek ALC 892), but get somewhat frequent screen freezes with audio in a short (several millisecond) loop of whatever was playing when the freeze occurs. Also I use Traktor Pro 2, with ASIO drivers which takes over the sound card when the program is running, meaning I'm constantly having to close and open Traktor or any DAW I have running. My freezes only happen when audio is playing so hopefully this takes care of that problem, but if not, I have other uses for an extra sound device (the ASIO issue above, and also I can cue tracks in Traktor on headphones to one card and route another to the speakers. Long story short, I was willing to gamble $25.I couldn't find any information on the latency of this card with ASIO drivers, but when I started Traktor I was not impressed, I had to make the buffer pretty big, and was running at over 10ms, and still flakey, whereas my onboard was doing a very stable 6.3ms before this "upgrade". This card was most definitely going back.I should mention, unlike most other reviewers, Windows 7 (64bit) did not detect my card automatically, and I downloaded the drivers and control software from Creative's website. In any event, after being frustrated and playing with setting for a bit, I found Creative's "Audio Control Panel" software. Under the performance tab the Sampling Rate was set to 48 KHz by default; I tried lowering it to 44.1, to improve the latency, but things got markedly _worse_. Of course I took it up to 96KHz (at 24 bit depth)... everything began working perfectly. I found this a bit counter intuitive but it worked for me.On a side note, I disabled my onboard audio in bios (to see if the freezing issue subsides), and this card is able to run Traktor Pro (w/ the ASIO drivers at 2ms latency, with lots of effect going) and other audio programs simultaneously with no problems! I didn't expect this, I doubt the card gets credit for this, someone probably just wrote better ASIO drivers, but still I like. (*note: this only works when Traktor aka the ASIO drivers are loaded _first_, before the other programs).With the above said, the volume is not quite as loud as my onboard, and I've yet to try out any jack except analog out, so take all this with a grain of salt if I didn't mention a feature that you need. But, all in all, I'm very satisfied with what I got for what I paid.

Okay, it was a stunning surprise to me. I had been given a stripped down HP Pavilion a6010n with no sound card, no graphic card, no memory, no speakers, and low power pack. Upgraded and added high power pack, 4 GB memory, 512 MG graphic card, and purchased speakers - but the sound card was still yet to be had as I only had simple basic PCI slots left. My main PC has a creative sound card and that has always given me nice sound. No brainer I purchased this Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card - a very basic card to upgrade those pc's with only basic PCI slots available and most likely are achieving sound from the motherboard. Hooked up Logitech Z313 speakers. Turned on the PC and the sound blew me away literally. I was expecting at the least nice sound, instead I got full felt stereo that had depth. Swapped out the speakers with another pair, and again it was the card that was delievering the richness and boost of the sound. The Logitech speakers paired extremely well with the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card. I recommend this card without reservation. It is not your basic simple card. This combo of the Logitech speakers and Creative sound card worked as though they were mated togehter. If you have a basic PC with no sound card, this is the way to go. On my main PC, card and speakers were $400; the Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE sound card was $30 and the speakers were $35 [total cost: $65] - the sound was almost as good as the sound - it's a no brainer.

I purchased this card in the hopes I could connect my computer to my 5.1 surround sound speakers. Boy was I sadly mistaken!!! I got the card today and installed it and it caused nothing but problems...massive slowdown on my machine, stuttering during playback of mp3's especially if I was doing nothing more than browsing webpages. I switched back to my onboard sound and haven't had any issues since. Sorry folks but this card is G-A-R-B-A-G-E. I'd think it was me but I went to school for Computer Engineering and own (aside from the sound card) a custom built high end gaming machine....I can assure you it's not lack of performance from my machine that is causing the problem.What's worse, even if the card had not caused all my music to sound like a meth addict trying to do dubstep but there was absolutely no way for me to hook it into my receiver. Seriously, it had instructions on how to do it in the documentation, but said you needed a digital I/O adapter (not included) from Creative. So I went to their website and guess what....THEY DON'T EVEN SELL THE DAMNED ADAPTER!!! No really, there is no such thing on the Creative website.I am sadly disappointed in Creative and this sound card, they used to make such great and reliable products and now this piece of garbage? That will be the last time I ever buy anything from Creative Labs. Junk junk junk junk JUNK!!!!

Running in an OptiPlex 755 mini-tower. I do have one bit of advice though, as soon as you install the drivers for Vista, Microsoft has an updated driver that installs. By default, the Microsoft Driver enables the CMSS-3D. Some may like this feature, but I don't. If you want to listen to your source material as it was originally intended, make sure to turn off CMSS-3D as well as the EAX effects in the Creative Audio Control Panel. I also set the card to 48 KHz / 24-bit. It sounds great when playing my MP3's via WinAmp. Considering the price of the card, I cannot complain!!!!

Well, it is a Sound Blaster from Creative Labs, in my opinion, the best sound card brand for general purposes.I still remember my first computer and I used to think: "- Some day I will have a Sound Blaster in my computer." (Yes, computers didn't use to come with sound cards - OLD TIMES...)Well, this specifc one I bought for a client who needed the most simple sound card which could allow him just to record some voice into the computer. This card may not be the most high end, but it still is the absolute best when it comes to studio quality for personal use!What I REALLY love about this card is that Linux Mint or Ubuntu will automatically detect it and install open source drivers for it for you! So its really quick to install and gives VERY good quality sound!The only downside is for Windows, you HAVE to install the drivers by hand. Otherwise Windows will just give it a generic sound device driver and it will NOT give you the sound you want.

I bought this to go with my new 5.1 surround sound.. but..The cd that comes with it is more than useless.. It will actually waste your time because it's not going to work (at least not on windows 7).Then when I finally downloaded the drivers from the internet (their official website), I had sound, but still most of my applications for the sound card did not function.I then started noticing that it was messing up my sound, it would kind of stutter during songs and sometimes even go in slow motion, randomly.. I read up more on the card and it turns out many people have problems with it as the official drivers suck.. I then downloaded the recommended drivers (a few versions to try) but neither would recognize that I even had a soundcard (it gave an error when trying to install).. I did have it and windows recognized it.. After a while windows would for some reason auto install the drivers and then cause my pc to crash, this would continue happening until I went into safemode and removed the drivers and then removed the sound card and decided it was not worth it.. Why would I (or anyone) pay money for a product where I myself have to spend countless hours trying to get unofficial working drivers, as well as jumping through hoops to get what I paid for.I can say that other than that one very bad part, the sound card did a good job as the sounds were of high quality and the surround sound worked pretty great.Final verdict: If you plan on running it with windows XP then go again, I hear it works great there.. However windows 7 I wouldn't bother, its better to give a few more bucks and get a different sound card that does NOT have such compatibility issues, such as ASUS Xonar DG - 24-bits/96 kHz (which I am planning on getting after I return this one).

I'm running Windows 7 x64 on a quad-core intel cpu and 6GB of ram. When I installed this card the first thing I noticed was the popping/system slowdown/garbled noises that occurred when the system was under load. This card has issues with Windows 7 as well... the enhancement features couldn't be enabled (seemed to have no effect) and even after locating the appropriate drivers from Creative, the problem was not remedied. Its cheap, and you get what you pay for. Just know that before buying this product.

Inexpensive and waaaay better than the integrated sound on my motherboard.To install, simply put it in a PCI slot and go into your bios and turn off the on board sound. Throw away the driver disk that came with it and either go into device manager and try to automatically find and update drivers or download them directly from Creative.

This is a late review, but overall I enjoy using this soundcard. This went into my first self-built pc and it was the easiest component to place short of the actual case itself. It's a bit hard to give a breakdown on how it sounds other than to say with my current overall setup I have the ability to control different sound settings/styles/levels and the card has functioned as I want it to with properly rich sound.

Found out hard way that the "Stereo Mix/What U hear" function is non-existent on Windows 7. Here is the Support page from Creative that explains what sound cards are: [...]Now I'm out the $8 return fee from Amazon. Sucks.

I bought this sound card used and tho some of what I read about installing and driver issues with Windows 7, it turned out to be not a issue at all. I needed a cheap, reliable and good sound card and this provides exactly what I was looking for.

I had been relying on the sound chip in my motherboard, and it was all right, but I listen to music allll the time, so why not give it a shot, right?!I just opened the case, slipped it in the available slot on the motherboard, fired up the computer and windows 7 found the driver and I'm off and running.Better sound, yes. Great sound, no.But I have a set of mid-level Creative speakers, too. That is part of the equation.This sound board DID boost sound quality in my opinion, and all for $25.Done. A no-brainer I say.

It was a bit difficult to install as the card slots on my mother board are configured differently, and this fit in the slot that was hard to get to. The instructions were scanty at best, but I was able to figure it out and the card works fine.

I had a down-rev Creative card, but when I upgraded to Win 8 needed a new card with compatible drivers. The sound is now so much richer and contains all the harmonics. 24 bit rules. Installation was a breeze, with no setup hassles after the hardware install. I have a 2.1 Klipsch sound system on my confuser, and this card makes them talk. Highly recommend!

It's a update from my onchip AC97 and this works just fine for me. I'm a fanatic PC gamer but I don't have much requirement on sound. I, however, find that the onchip AC97 won't deliver the voice commands from other players in the game Ghost Recon Online. So I decide maybe I should switch to a real sound card and that's why this pre-owned Audigy SE came to my desktop. It works fine, I can hear other players now, and it also bring a lot of gadgets and enhence software that seem to be a bonus. It's not that professional, but for a lower end entry level sound card, it has it's position. Plus it's not expansive. Get a pre-owned is as good as a new one I guess.

I ordered this particular card from a dealer in used condition. It lasted about two months and then it died. I only spent $8.00 USD for it, so I'm not complaining but it was an inconvenience. If it worked fine when I installed it, then it should have continued to do so. there was nothing wrong with my computer and the seller told me it worked fine and so it did.Sometimes a bad one rolls off the assembly line too and dies later on.....

Be sure that your motherboard has an original PCI connection. Most should be mine was occupied my my ethernet card. I had to return and get one with a PCI-E hookup.

Routinely I do audio testing and use this card to get test signals into and out of the PC.The performance is superb. Virtually flat frequency response, 100dB dynamic range and 0.02% THD. No unpleasant "enhancements" like AGC and compression/decompression that inflict other more expensive cards What you put in is what you get out - awesome. Some people pay $1000s for performance like this. An enthusiastic five stars from me.

I ordered ASUS PCI 5.1 Channel Sound Card XONAR_DG.... because it had great reviews. No matter what I did I couldn't get the headphones to sound right and it's supposed to have a headphone amp. So I sent it back and ordered this. I have had tons of Creative Labs gear and most of it was awesome and always worked with no trouble. I am running windows 7 64bit pro, and this is a great value soundcard. Does exactly what it needs to. Works for me.

I'm very happy with the sound card sounds great and did not kill my wallet improved my computers performance since i don't need to use on-board sound anymore.

After much frustration with my Dell PC distorted / scratchy / static sound .. decided to replace the original sound card with this SB Audigy SE by Creative Labs .. and VOILA .. now works like a charm. Works fine in Windows 7 & 8 but there's not many options such as the ability to adjust treble or bass. No EQ settings either that I can see.EDIT: I did find & install some modded drivers from the Creative forums that add "Bass Boost" & an "EQ". My audio sounds much better.

If you are using XP use the company's software. If you are using Windows 7 allow the operating system to locate the correct software language. DO NOT USE the CD for Win 7. The sound board is excellent,

I ordered this card because my on-board sound in my PC was not compatible with Win8. I was surprise at the sound quality it produced for such an inexpensive card.

5 STARS because this is a great program.I had once over 200 tapes.But by using this program i got rid of all of them.Also the sound is great for listening to music.Also there are also other great software.

I had a static from the time I installed it. I worked with a tech from Creative (who was very helpful) for a couple of weeks but in the end we could not eliminate the static. Back it went.
