What more can you ask for?
every design choice cooler master made is biblically stupid, they haven't made one correct decision with this cooler.
my issues are:
the flex on the hose's is so small that you can't actually install this cooler into the front of a case, you can only install it above the motherboard, and in some cases you can't even do that due to the gap between the motherboard and the top of the case being to large and therefore this cooler cannot reach. ( makes it unusable)
the flex for the fan extenders (so that you can plug all the of the 3 fans into one pwm socket) is ridiculous short , meaning that you can't actually plug this into anywhere other than the first available fan header, and you are forced to completely disregard cable management.
the flex for the fan extenders is equidistant meaning that you can't actually use the fully reach of the small extender flex because as soon as you try to plug the header into a port which isn't directly inline with the middle of the radiator, the cables all fall apart as they didn't have the brain power over at cooler master to figure out that the bottom fan might need a slightly longer extender flex, than the top ( if that makes sense ).
the rad itself is pathetic by comparison to my old enermax, its not even funny how thin and sparse the fins are; and the general build quality and finish of the rad is shocking; sharp edges and thin metal I could bend with my little finger.
the hose's from the cooler protrude out of the bottom of the cpu block by a large margin, meaning you cannot install a graphics card into the top slot of my asus x399 prime a while this calamity is installed, it also doesn't make sense that the hose's come out the bottom of the block as its convention for the exit pipe to be out of the top of a cpu block(so that convection aids the process of cooling the cpu).
this cooler doesn't even get good thermals, the enermax liquid tech 2 absolutely destroys this thing under load keeping a 1920x a whole 8c cooler, which means this cooler is only slightly better than an normal water cooler.
avoid this cooler at all costs, unless you are using an matx case which can house a 360mm rad and don't mind the flaws i mentioned, otherwise this cooler is a complete bust and proves how little coolermaster cares about producing a good product.
i could design a better aio in my sleep, it will be returned due to it not even fitting in my case (which can support a 360mm rad) and returned due to the fact i can't even install a graphics card at the same time as using this (which on threadripper a chip which doesn't have igpu is kinda fecking important !!).
Just be aware that although the copper plate does cover the entire IHS of a thread ripper chip, the actual fins within the block do not (budgeting by marketing tear down images on the net). The fins are what tansfer the heat from the plate to the coolant liquid so there will not be much increase in performance over a standard smaller design.
The enermax liqtech tr4 would be the best AIO by far for thread ripper. But mine, like many others', has gunked up and died. Hence I am buying this replacement.
Overall, good value for money from coolermaster.
The pump does some sounds but is working fine.
So the cooling is fine. The noise of the fans on high rpm not so much.
One of the fans creates an extremely annoying vibrating sound on high rpms which is rather distracting and forced me to buy different high static pressure fans.
I also got the other ml360 aio for an am4 socket on another pc where two fans made the exact same noise.
Other than that the package gives you everything you need. 3-way fan splitter, a splitter for the rgp connectors, double sided male connectors for the rgb splitter, rgb controller and a small tube of thermal paste. (i used a different thermal paste by arctic though.)
In short.
Cooling 10/10
Fan noise 2/10 (i guess you need to be lucky to get three silent fans.)
But i still hearing some noises coming from the Pump every time i stress the CPU
I plan on building a new gaming rig this fall on a 5000 series Threadripper and will be getting another of these for that project. Recommended.
