I love this printer. Admittedly, the color isn't always spot on but wow! It is so easy to use! I got for two different projects. First, I'm doing a book journal of what I've read and what I want to read. I'm using this to print book covers I download from Amazon. Since I use a Kindle Paperwhite for reading, covers aren't really displayed well, but this little printer cranks them out perfectly! Also planning on using it for other journaling. You download the free Canon app, which has a multitude of features to use with your images.
I do have 2 tips so far for using:
1. When you are connecting to an android phone, you have to turn on the NFC feature on the phone and YOU MUST TAP your phone with the printer. This isn't clear in the instructions and it took me extra research to find this.
2. You can use other ZINK printer sheets than Canon. I've been having a hard time finding Canon paper in stock, so I bought some HP sheets. The packages are identical and the printing is the same. HOWEVER!!! Save a blue card from the Canon packages and replace the blue card from the HP sheets with it before loading into the printer. Otherwise, you get a blue card printing error. I just happened to have save a blue card from the package of the Canon sheets that came with my printer. As I noted, printing on the HP Zink sheets was identical to the Canon after using the Canon Blue Card.
It was a bit pricey but I'm having a great time with this and plan on using it for a great deal of creative moments.

So, no, the quality isn't great. But it's also not bad. It has that cute film sorta look. I love this thing. I've made a little journal of memories filled with pictures printed from this. It's adorable and easy to use with the app. You just have to leave it plugged in otherwise it dies super fast. And it will overheat if you print too many photos at the same time (like 10+). But just give it a second and it will cool off again. This is just an easy, fun way to print photos and I'm really happy I bought it.

Works really well. The print size is small, so I dont expect perfect hd quality prints, but they're fun! We use them for scrapbooking and journaling our trips. Super easy to use and a few tweaks of the brightness and it's ready to print. It can take other zinc paper, but the quality of the image does seem to take a hit. I'd recommend just using canon zinc paper.

I like it! I got this printer to print photos for my travellers notebook, and I love that it's so portable and easy to use.
One gripe I have with it is connectivity. On my S9, I was able to connect through BT successfully on the first try maybe 60-70% of the time. I now have a LG V60, and it does not connect well through BT at all. I found out through reviews on the print app that you can connect to the printer via NFC. Connecting through NFC works every time.
Photo quality is better than I expected. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos on which mini printer to buy (this or HP sprocket).
Technically, you can use any zink 2 x 3 paper with this printer (HP, canon, Kodak, etc) as long as you keep the original canon blue sheet when you load paper. It works, but the papers are slightly different in temp. Kodak is a smidge warmer than canon paper. I haven't tried HP yet to compare.
I recommend getting a carrying case to protect the printer and to store extra paper and the charging cable.

This printer fits in the palm of my hand & is light weight. I bought the white w/ rose colored one and I bought the case in a rose color.
This printer is simple to use. You insert the paper (blue card first), DL the app (bluetooth must be turned on to use printer), hold the button on the side to turn on then on your phone, open the app & look for the picture you want to print. If

The blue paper will print first, then your picture. Prints in about 30 seconds or so.
So far I've printed 16 pictures & they all came out good. 2 were not so vibrant, but still acceptable.

I bought this to print out images from my phone for use in my daily planner, and occasionally as cute inserts of letters, and the like. My phone is an iPhone 11 Pro, so my pictures are pretty decent to begin with. which I'm sure helps a great deal. These prints give you that "vintage" vibe from the days of Polaroids, but with more color and more clarity, and in (repositionable) sticker form. The added options via the app are fun, and adorable - it takes nothing at all to add text to a print in a variety of fonts, and then slap a frame on it. Very user friendly. I recommend getting the 50pk of extra prints - you're going to need it.

This is amazing! The print quality is superb...it’s just like the photos glyph get printed elsewhere but this time it’s instantaneous especially for someone like me who often gets lazy about waiting for photos to be ordered and printed. I use these to add photos to journals like travel and diaries. This is a game changer. I also plan on printing photos to add to homemade cards for an added personal touch. The paper is nice and thick; really good quality. The instructions could have been more comprehensive regarding the blue paper (included with the photo paper). I just searched on YouTube. Basically, each set of 10 sheets comes with a blue paper that calibrates the printing. It comes out before your first photo (of each pack of 10). No need to reinsert it; just once for every set of 10 sheets (a new one each time).

It’s nice to have an instant portable printer. I highly suggest you edit your photo to be brighter before printed. The actual photos were very pixilated; either blurry, too dark, or very choppy. My 13 year old loved it. Although 13 year olds go through 50 pieces of photo paper so quick it’s almost too expensive to keep printing (that’s how they get ya)! I wouldn’t use the photos for anything professional. She puts them on her binder, hands them out to friends, or posts them to her cork board. It’s cute. Not really my idea of an adult gift. For portability, ease of mobile phone app setup, and price of the printer i’d Give 4 stars. For print quality I’d give 2 stars. Hope this helps!

Bought for my daughter as a Christmas gift and I don't think she was too excited about it. However she does use it. I bought it with a bunch of scrapbooking items because she loves taking pics with her cameras. I was worried about it being a mobile printer but she was able to connect her camera directly to the printer instead fo having to download the pics to a laptop and then email to herself so she could open from her phone and download...that would have been a hassle.
The problem is my 16 year old daughter has some amazing vibrant pictures from a recent trip to Florida and when she printed out a few the color was lacking. It just didn't capture the vibrant colors of the photo. I wouldn't call the color dull but just looking at the original and the print next to each other really showed the difference. However, I do like the printer and think its really convenient and good for her printing out her memories. Just not so good for showing off her skills.
It also took us about an hour to finally get the camera connected to printer so it would allow photos to be uploaded to it. We were sure it was broke because it wasn't working like the you tube videos suggested or the provided directions. However, out the blue about an hour later it connected and she hasn't had a problem since.
Overall, its a good printer for this price range. Just don't expect high quality color when there is no ink.

The battery dies very quickly with this . I printed maybe 7 photos and the battery was drained. The quality of the photos is really bad- color is completely off. The contrast is very intense. It also slightly crops the images.

I just used it today for the first time so I can’t speak to the longevity but so far I’m impressed. My first mini photo printer was from Kodak. It used a cartridge and eventually (after my third cartridge) it got jammed and ruined my printer. This one is much smaller and quieter than that one. It prints pretty quickly and I think the quality is great. The set up and app are easy to maneuver through. I was up and running in minutes. I love the portability of this. I purchased a rose gold case that was suggested and it fits perfectly. I’m not thrilled that when you download the app and agree to the very long agreement that you’re giving Canon the rights to use the pictures but I believe that’s pretty standard and probably nothing is private in this world anymore. All in all I’m very happy and looking forward to enhancing my journal and memory keeping with this little printer.

For the past few years I've been looking at mini printers, mostly to use for my art journaling/mixed media art and adding in personal pics or whatnot. The Canon Ivy is great. It's small enough you can easily take with you anywhere you go and print with your bluetooth. It's a little noisy while it prints but not terribly so and the pictures are clear. I also like that the paper is sticker paper so you peel it off and stick it where you want.

I'd like to think that the photos I take are all instagram-worthy. And so I wanted them printed to display them as decors in my room and our kitchen wall. My family is really sentimental so when it comes to having timeless memories, we go big on taking pictures. This printer is loved by my family, no doubt about it.

Es un gran aparato. Muy pequeña y linda. Fácil de usar!! Es genial obtener fotos pequenas :) pero la calidad de impresión no me encanta! Salen rendido iluminadas. No es gran problema para mí. Sólo tomen eso en cuenta

Great little printer and fun app to edit and "decorate" pics. The downside is getting the settings right. Sometimes the print is dark which can easily be fixed by changing the brightness, contrast, etc. but there went one "wasted" print. Once you figure what settings to change to get the desired picture then it's all good! Plus you can print multiples of any shot.
Photo paper cost is pricey but as expected- buy in "bulk" for a better deal.
Overall very convenient and fun little gadget. It's worth being able to print pics instantly to hand out (attach to bday cards and gift bags).
I still use the instax mini and the square because I like the nostalgia of fun instant pics.
Make sure to buy a case!

My husband and I did lots of research on which printer would be best for our teenager. We had it between this the Canon Ivy and HP Sprocket. We chose the Canon Ivy cause we thought the picture quality was better based on reviews. So happy we chose this one...great little printer. Keep it up Canon!!! It prints great quality photo's that are true to color. Our younger child has a polaroid camera and the Canon Ivy prints better photos. Loved what it said on the box "your new best friend" and I do believe that is true. So easy, great quality photos, the app is easy and fun!!!

The battery won’t last for more than 3 prints, it keeps telling me to charge the device, I took it out and used 2 packs of 10pcs paper, 5/20 is a good quality print. I’m thinking maybe it’s because it gets too hot and the battery dies out after that. The return or replace window is September 18th and now is October 1, but I didn’t use the device as I receive it. I opened it first week of September to print some photos for a friends birthday. I didn’t notice I have to keep charging the device as it was fun being able to print your own photos. But it won’t last you more than a month like mine if you get a defective one.
Amazon costumer service told me to contact the manufacturer after 45 minutes of conversation.

Compact, printed amazing pictures - i got the self sticking paper so I could print pictures to add to my South Africa travel journal. I could print them out and put notes in my journal each day I was traveling before I had a chance to forget the day's event. I was able to use it while on the long plane journey home. I have a goal to keep a journal with pictures to document each of my trips. Also thinking of keeping family vacation journals complete with pictures just to help capture the memories so will have it when in the future I can not longer travel.

I made this purchase for my daughter who enjoys taking pictures and this is useless. Unable to use it. Confusing setup and when we finally figured it out, we have been trying to make our 1st print and we get a message that the picture jammed.
We removed printing paper, still jams. Not recommended and i would like a refund.

This is one of the coolest things ever! Very portable (I got a hard carry case that also carries a spare pack of paper) and cute.
You can add frames and effects before printing.
Great for planners, journals, memory keeping, small photo frames. Pics are 2X3, about the size of a business card.

So, this is not the one I wanted, but my nerdy husband concluded it had the best quality picture review. Very, very happy with my little printer. Cute, small and good quality pictures with little wait time! Definitely recommend it.
