The Good:
- Very portable because of its light weight and small footprint (pic of my iPhone 8 Plus and the IVY printer)
- No ink necessary, just needs the photo paper refills!
- Super easy set up and installation, simply connect via Bluetooth and then add the printer in the Canon Mini Print app
- Fast printing from the app to the printer (prints 1 photo in about 25 seconds)
- Fully charges in 75 minutes
- Mini Print iOS app is awesome and basically a full photo editor, you can do all kinds of effects and manipulations on photos taken all for free (this is my new go to app for photo effects)
- Just all around fun to be able to share physical memories with family and friends on the spot
The Bad:
- I wish the printer could hold more than 10 sheets as you go through them pretty quick
- If possible faster printing time but for this small of a printer, it’s hard to beat
The Bottom Line:
Wow, rarely do I see a new product that is as well thought out as this printer and associated app. I have an Instax camera and while that’s fun, this printer and associated app blows it out of the water. The big difference between the Instax and this Canon printer+app is the ability to take a photo and add after effects on my own phone and then print the photo instantly on the printer. The 2 problems I have with the Instax camera was I couldn’t center the subject easily and also had trouble with the lighting exposure. I ended up wasting a lot of photo sheets trying to get it right with the Instax camera. However, with the Canon Mini Print app, I can see the photo and add text or other effects and then print the photo. This saves a lot of wasted photo sheets. The set up of the Canon IVY printer is super easy in that it just connects via Bluetooth and installing the photo paper just involves popping off the top and dropping in the photo packet (pics attached to review). The speed of the printer for this size is quite good at 25 seconds (video attached). Being rechargeable, light weight and small, it’s great to take anywhere and just throw in your backpack or purse and have the ability to print photos for people as instant mementos. Overall this is a fully baked out device and app and a ton of fun to use and share memories, highly recommended!

Handy to have but the novelty wore off quickly. The colour is not exact, most pictures had a reddish tint to them which made everyone look like they had a sunburn. Prints quick enough but the pictures were smaller than expected, even with reading the size they were, just seemed smaller. Going back.

My only issue with this product is that there are no indicators as to the power level or photo paper remaining. Sort of a hit and miss thing. Other than that, this little printer does everything it is supposed to do. Not bad !!!!

I had a little bit of trouble trying to figure out how to connect and print. You have to be patient. Trick is to make sure you turn it on and connect your Bluetooth first. Print quality is ok- need to watch the boarder as I’ve cut off my photo- it’s hard to see the boarder against them background so I change the colour now to see better. The app stickers are a joke. Over all it’s makes nice little photos to put in my journal and love the peel and stick. The app could be a little more explanatory- first time users have no idea what its doing.

Great printer. It was easy to set up - the longest part was downloading the Canon Ivy app. Once you got everything set up - it takes a couple of mins to print a picture. You have the option to add some borders/stickers/decal to the picture before printing. The quality of the picture is really nice - came out clear

Battery does not last very long and when the charge is low the pictures get blurrier. As long as it’s well charged and your pictures are clear you’re golden. Overall good purchase. Would recommend to someone as a gift or if you need to make a point of printing more memories with friends.

Been looking everywhere from Walmart, to Best Buy for a printer like this since last Christmas and finally decided on this guy right here. You can edit pictures from the app. make them lighter or darker, there's some nice filters, borders and stickers you can add directly on the photo from the app. I ordered the printer and paper combo, definitely worth getting them both at the same time. In the printer paper box there's about 5 packs, each pack comes with 10 photo papers in it i believe. (i could be misremembering though, i dont have it handy to look at) They get used up fast and you want them handy to continue printing if you're doing more than a few at a time. I printed about 15-20 my first use of the printer and it got VERY WARM and it drained the battery. It comes with a charger, takes barely any time at all to charge back up. I saved my photos to the print que, turned the printer off and let it charge back up and cool down before i finished up. I have to figure out before i print if it should be darker or lighter to my preference but its no big deal if they ended up printing a bit darker than expected.
My sisters ended up ordering one for herself and some cute clothesline string lights off amazon after i showed her mine. Definitely a good purchase. Could be used for school projects, scrapbooking, personal albums, bedroom decoration.

If you want to have the convenience of printing a wallet size picture and you are not really paying attention to the quality of the picture, you should buy this. I was just expecting better picture quality for the money that I spent. Pictures were grainy even with good resolution.

I love the portable size, this printer is quality so far. Transports easily, pictures are beautiful right off my phone (using Bluetooth) and is perfect at my fingertips. I will be using this device for my Project Life projects and also to enhance my quilting journals. Love it!

There is nothing to not like about this product. My friend bought one of these for scrapbooking and it is absolutely amazing and I decided I needed one. Arrived imthe next day with prime. This is the absolute coolest little gizmo. 10/10

I got this photo printer after first trying the HP Sprocket 2 and returning it. The colors in the Sprocket were terribly blue, much happier with this one.

It was delivered pretty quick! I like the photo quality better than my instax sp-2. Plus, the zink photos have that sticker backing, which is perfect for scrapbooking or diy crafting!
I gave it a 4 out of 5 just because it does take quite a bit of time to print out one photo..

This little printer is fun and easy to use. Now I can keep some of my favorite photos in an album or journal instead of searching through my phone for them. The print quality is not perfect but for what it was meant to do it is great. Very pleased with this purchase.

The canon has to be plugged in consistently because it dies so fast and heats up very Quickly quickly
And after a month of having it every time I print a picture there’s a white line going threw my photos
